"Nice to meet you!" Shauna smiled, introducing everyone. The old man bowed to us and looked back at the five of us.
"I thought he only mentioned four honor students" Yvonne stepped away.

"Shall we get started?" Korrina asked, later introducing herself formally as a gym leader and her relations with the guru "It's good to finally see everyone all together again!" He explained to use thoroughly, explaining that Mega Evolution is a transformation of Pokémon that were thought to be unable to evolve any further. The reason for saying transformation was due to the fact that mega evolution only last for a certain amount of time.
"How intriguing" I said "I would definitely had done some research on this sort of thing before. Luckily it wasn't all that easy to discover, otherwise I would had worked my butt off again"

"To make mega evolution work" the guru continued "You need two items: A mega Stone for the Pokémon and the key stone, which has a mysterious stone set in it, for the trainer"

"Since Professor Sycamore entrusted each of you with a Pokédex, I would like to give these items to all of you..." the guru sighed "I'd like to share them with you, but..."
"But?" Shauna nagged "But what? Just come out and say it already!" Korrina giggled at her impatience.
"Sorry" he said "but presently, I have only one Key stone in its Mega ring... It's a very precious item. That's why my research isn't getting anywhere" Korrina patted his shoulder "So, I want all of you to decide among yourselves which one of you will be the one who challenges the mega evolution successor"
"Even me?" Yvonne asked.
"I don't see why not" Korrina smiled.
"Professor Sycamore doesn't even know about Yvonne..." Tierno frowned "We'll have to tell him later. For now. I'll pass. Pokémon battling isn't really my scene"
"Me, too!" Shauna held her hips "it really would be a cool memory, and it does seem interesting, but..." she shrugged "I'll pass"
"I just want to continue trying to complete the Pokédex" Trevor stated. Shauna faced me and Yvonne.
"That leaves Calem and Yvonne!"
"Me?" Yvonne frowned "I'm just here with Calem. I didn't come here as an honor student. Forgive me, but I don't really care about battling myself" she admit.
"That's boring" Tierno said "I was expecting a battle between you too! I wanted to see how Yvonne battles!" Yvonne shook her head.
"Although I trained my Pokémon to become strong, we hold a special bond that doesn't need that sort of thing so show. I feel like you and your Pokémon are better suited for this relationship" she smiled.
"Mega evolution is nothing more than just one way to make Pokémon stronger" Korrina said "You don't need it, but I appreciate your enthusiasm. You're a good sport, Yvonne" Yvonne blushed.
"Well then, Calem" the guru walked up to me with a box he took out his pocket and showed it to me, opening to show the mega ring inside "first, you should challenge Korrina, the gym leader" Korrina held her hip.
"Calem, my Lucario may have taken a shine to you, but now I must test you to see if you're ready to challenge the Mega evolution successor!" She smirked widely. Yvonne observed the mega ring, most likely liking the shine "I look forward to a real battle this time!" I nodded, feeling confident.
"You got it! I look forward to battling you after so long" Yvonne dug in her bag, searching for something "What is it, Yvonne-" I paused when she took out a box with a key stone inside connected to a piece of metal that made an earring. Wait.. What?!
