Alysanne Targaryen

If you had asked her, if one day she would have ever seen herself sitting in the library of the red keep while perusing a book and hoping that her peace and calm would not be interrupted at any point in time, than Alysanne would have scoffed and laughed at whomever would have dared uttered those words.

Once a point in time, she had been a shoe in for peaceful life. Aegon was to inherit the crown and his wife Rhaena was to be queen, and rule by his side. Her second brother Viserys was to be hand and help Aegon in running the seven kingdoms, he had been hoping to marry that Celtigar girl that had caught his eyes, all the while her and Jaehaerys would move to Dragonstone and rule over it in the name of the crown.

But tragedy had struck, and their lives had forever changed after the dust had settled. Both brothers had died brutally at the actions and hands of their mad uncle, her sister had paid the price in being raped repeatedly by said monster. all the while the seven kingdoms burned around them.

Luckily, they had come out ahead and outlived Maegor and his tyranny. Though things had been rough at the start, they had eventually been resolved, just not without tragedies. Her son Aegon had perished just three days after being brought into the world, though she still blamed those seven star worshiping cunts from Jonquil's pool for his death. But, blaming her would not bring him back nor help close that wound at this point in time.

After that, It was that gods damn shivers. The gods had seen it fit to take their daughter Daenerys as well as of losing a son wasn't enough. As if they hadn't gone through enough perils, or that they hadn't suffered enough tragedies in their lives. Losing her little girl hurt, it reopened that barely healed wound of losing her boy Aegon but thankfully the gods did something right for once and left the rest of her family alone. Aemon, Baelon, Alyssa, as well as her husband had all made it through safe and sound.

The next few years on the other hand had, all a whirlwind of both happy times and sad. With birth of her little Maegelle and that Vaegon the year after, and as well as that of Daella following next meant that the Red Keep had been kept busy in a flurry of activities. Though the death of lord Rogar Baratheon the same year as Margalle's birth had put a slight damper on their celebrations, as well as the death of a few other individuals that had been instrumental in their escape of Meagor's cruelty.

But her life had really changed three years after the birth of Daella, and in hindsight she really should have seen it coming. For she had long heard that having twins meant double the troubles as well as double the headaches. Saera and Saerion were without a doubt the manifestations of that saying, Saera was just as strong, quick and spirited as her sister Alyssa as a toddler. She was tempestuous, demanding, and very disobedient. Seven hells, the girls first word were "no", a word which she often said and loudly at that. As a babe, she was very vocal about only wanting her mother's milk and became furious whenever another Wet Nurse was dismissed. All in all, was a fierce and stubborn young girl who thrived upon attention and became bad-tempered whenever she did not receive any.

It was very difficult to resist Saera when she wanted to be charming, she had also quickly learned how to get anything she wanted from her father and poor Jaehaerys did not know how to say no. Aemon and Baelon the two fools were always amused by her mischief which somehow always encouraged her to escalate, and wile she could not easily manipulate her, Alyssane had been the victim of Saera's machinations on more than a few occasions.

It was widely known across the entrity of the Red Keep that Saera had the entire royal family wrapped around her fingers.

Unless, if your name was Saerion that is.

Saerion on the other hand was for a lack of a better term...blunt. He said what he said and meant what he meant, the end. He hated beating around a subject and came out said exactly what he wanted and moved on about. He did not care about your feelings, he did not care about whom or what was around and in his own words 'hated wasting time' and that 'time is money so make it count'. She had to mediate many of fights that had broken out between him and Vaegon, fights and arguments that he had utterly decimated his elder brother in both the verbal and physical aspect.

The boy got along well with Aemon and Baelon, but was indifferent to Alyssa and outright despised Viserra and Vaegon much to both hers and Jaehaerys's consternations. But, on the flip of that coin he absolutely looked up to Maegelle, and Daella but both outright spoilled and adored Saera, yet he was also about the only one she listened to as well as respected his opinion.

Saerion was not only the only one whom could get Saera to behave, he could stop her with just a mere look. Baelon had once remarked on how the twins had a whole language based on their gazes alone, and she had to agree with him as she had often caught them communicating in public that very same way.

Though on the other hand, she still remembered the days of Saerion following behind herself or Maegelle and Daella like a duckling following hen, growing up the boy was either with her, Daella, and Maegelle or somewhere stopping Saera from burning the keep down.

But besides that, he had been a relatively quiet and reserve child. He took to his studies like a fish to water, and according to the Maester was probably the smartest child he had ever seen or taught for that matter. Something which grated on Vaegon's nerve as he prided himself in his smarts, and being surpassed by his younger brother of four years must have been hard.

Ser Gyles Morrigen, the lord commander of the King's guard had all but proclaimed him being the warrior come again for his martial prowess. According Aemon he was a natural with a sword and a demon in the lists, Baelon had also grumbled about his deadliness with a bow and arrow and how unfair it was for one to be so good at everything.

And while she had personally never had any problems with her boy, Jaehaerys on the other hand was a different story. The boy resisted him at every turn, and according to him made his life a nightmare. From outright denying any notion of marrying anyone else other than Saera, to sending out letters to whole realm saying so, to calling many of his plans shortsighted.

Thankfully, that last part had been said in private between the three of them.

What really irked Jaehaerys was the sheer ingenuity of the boy, from his well written ideas and plans that brought Jaehaerys many honors and acclamation from the many lords of the realm. The reforms that seen King's Landing thrive and bloom enough to rival both Oldtown and Lannisport, to the implementation of changes to the city watch that had seen crime being cut by nearly sixty percent.

He had drafted as well as personally spearheaded a plan and project that seen the removal and reconstruction of some of the lowest and most crime riddled part King's Landing, Flea Bottom had been destroyed and rebuilt into a new section that was not a den of scum and villainy. His actions had seen the greatest mistake made by the Conqueror and his wives removed permanently.

King's Landing had been expanded and now spotted an additional wall, but another town as well. And all the while the air was cleaner and the streets less packed while the population had increased by twenty percent. Everything was brighter, cleaner, and most importantly everything was running smoothly and that irked Jaehaerys the most since it was all done behind back, which meant a blow to his pride and authority.

But while her husband had been lost in his rage at his son's impudence, slight and sheer disrespect. He hadn't bothered to asked the right questions, something that the majority of their family as well the public had seemingly glossed over.

'Where had Saerion gotten the gold for those projects?'

'Where had Saerion gotten the manpower for those projects?'

And most importantly, 'How had those projects been able to be completed so fast?'

He had openly admitted to his 'gifts' when she attempted to questioned him, he had not even bothered hiding them and simply told her that he knew that she why she had come to find him. He had told her in details of his many 'gifts', from his dragon dreams to his 'matter magic' and to even his 'healing magic'.

He had also told her that both Saera and Maegelle were also knew of his secrets and that they were about the only ones in the family aside from her were trustworthy enough to be let in on them. He had interrupted her from even mentioning her husband by point out all his shortcomings in a single breath, and while she loved Jaehaerys dearly, she had to admit to herself that he was right about all of his fathers shortcomings.

He had told her that he was taking care of most of the little things, apparently things that would comeback to bite his brothers in their collective backside in the near future because dear old 'Father' was a 'sanctimonious asshole'. He had told her how in less than two generation, that house Targaryen would lose all their Dragons due to Jaehaerys stupidity and the precedence he had set.

According to him Aemon's wife would have only given him one child, Rhaenys would have been Aemon's only progeny before dying due to astray arrow by Myrish pirate in 92 AC. But he had used his magic to cause Jocelyn to birth twins instead of just Rhaenys, and now with Rhaelyn being the heir and Rhaenys being his bestrode the line of succession has all but settled and Jaehaerys' stupidity wouldn't rear it's ugly head.

He had also told her in all but graphic details the faith that had awaited all her children had he not intervened, with Daella dying first on the birthing bed, which was followed by Alyssa 84 AC after not recovering from her own previous birth. Viserra would have followed in 87 AC due to a drunken horse ridding accident after rebelling from being force to marry a marry a Manderly.

Aemon in 92 AC due to an arrow to the throat and drowning in his own blood, and just two years later in 96 AC Maegalle died after being afflicted with greyscale, To Baelon dying due to a burst belly in 101 AC while screaming in pain for the whole keep to hear, sweet Gaemon wouldn't have made it past three months, while Valerion would have only lasted a year himself.

Gael would have died in 99 AC after being seduced by a bard and giving birth to a bastard stillborn, while her twin sister Rhaelyna being tragically a stillborn herself. And while having being told that if not for his actions, she would have ended up losing nearly all of her children was not nearly as bad as being told what would have been Saera's fate.

Running away from home, getting captured and sold to a pillow house in Lys twisted her gut and had it not Saerion conveniently placing a pot in front of her, she would have no doubt emptied her stomach on the floor.

Sighing at the memory, she looked out of the widow and into the view of the city. It would seem that her peace and quiet was about to be interrupted, judging by the sound of the footsteps it would seem that her brother and husband was not in a good mood.

And as the doors were pushed open, she didn't even bother turning her head before she spoke.

"Hello Jae, and please what has Saerion done this time around?"
