"I knew I shouldn't had let you head out on your own. Let me take your blood pressure after you've calmed down a bit" She stood up to grab her bag. Her hand was sweaty. I looked at Lucario frowning, sensing something I couldn't see.
"No" I got up and walked up to her looking at me confused "I came here running because Lucario thought something happen to you" she looked at Lucario and put her bag down.
"No... I don't know why it thought that" I took her sweaty hand "I just washed my hands" I sighed and pressed my forehead on hers.
"You're really warm" she waved her hands.

I blinked confused and looked at Yvonne getting up to go to the restroom to take a shower. I was beyond confused at this point and didn't move from my spot. I stared at the bathroom door the entire time, waiting to see what was going on.

Two days had passed and I was chasing Yvonne around while she was riding my Gogoat "Yvonne!" I yelled, trying to catch up "You need to go to the clinic! Your fever hasn't been going away!"

"Your temperature is still high!"

"There's a difference. Your condition has been long term while mine is temporary. Fevers do go away, and I'm feeling better! I'm telling you" Gogoat slowed down so I could catch up. I hung onto it and caught my breath. Yvonne looked at me glaring at her.
"If something happens to you, I'm going to get mad" she smiled.
"I understand" I sighed and walked beside her to the Badlands by the power plants. Lucario stayed by my side, sensing something wrong.
"It's so windy out here" Yvonne said, covering her eyes and was quick to put her sunglasses on. I did the same and looked around, seeing nothing wrong yet, but Lucario was on high alert.
"Let's keep going. Lumiose is close by this place" I told her, walking farther into the badlands, where Lucario was growing tense and pointed up ahead at the direction of a power plant.
"What is that?" I squint my eyes to see the person in red standing by it. Yvonne gasped and tapped on Gogoat to run forward "Hey! Yvonne!" I shouted. I quickly grabbed onto Gogoat to climb its back while at the same time Yvonne jumped off and ran towards the person.
"It's Team Flare!" She shouted, getting closer to the guy and throw out her Pokémon "Fight me!" My eyes widened when a memory popped in my head of Serena giving a smirk while I was studying in the library the first time we met in school when she found out I was a honor student with strong Pokemon. Their voices were so similar at that moment. The aggression in her voice. It can't be... There's no way. How can I prove this? Every clue I get is useless, yet so close together.
The Team Flare grunt released his own Pokémon to battle and ended up losing. I watched Yvonne the entire time she battled, and every time she battled, my brain jumbles up every time I try to compare her and Serena.
"Calem!" Yvonne yelled, waving a key in her hand "I think Team Flare is in the power plant. Let's go check it out!"
"Are you sure? I still think you need rest" she shook her head.
"I'm going to take care of Team Flare one way or another!" The look on her face was overwhelmingly like Serena. The bold voice, the confidence in her eyes, the determination on her face... If I can't get my official answer anytime soon, I'll just have to live with it for however long I need to.

I needed to go to Lumiose so I could go to my doctor so he can diagnose me, but we were too far away at the moment and I wasn't going to leave Serena here when she barely recovered from her fever.

"Are you sure?" I chuckled.

"So am I. You take care of me like I take care of you. It's a package deal" she frowned "I'm fine. Honestly" I sighed, knowing my lie was going through. Just thinking about Serena and Yvonne being the same person made me emotional... I wanted to cry and hope that wasn't the case, because if Yvonne's life was really like this, I never really knew Serena at all, even if we were best friends "I'm sorry..." I looked down, trying not to let my tears fall.
"For what..?" I will sound ridiculous if I mentioned comparing them again, so I won't mention it again, no matter how bad it makes my heart feel.
"Not helping you fight that grunt" I stood up "Let's take care of Team Flare"
"Are you sure?" I took her hand and pulled her into my arms. She looked up at me surprised.
"Yeah. Let's get them" she smiled wide like Serena would and hurried us into the Powerplant with the key, where it was strangely quiet for it to be a powerplant.
"Does anyone even work here?" Yvonne asked.
"If Team Flare is here, the employees must be taken away so they wouldn't interfere" she nodded, agreeing.
"You're so smart" she smiled. I shook my head, amused, and kept heading forward until we entered a hallway with a few muffled sounds inside. Hurrying in, we saw multiple employees tied up with tape covering their mouth shut. We managed to get everyone out safely, and I realized as soon as the last person ran out the room, Yvonne was out in the hallway with a grunt under her foot. She stomped on his back.
"That's what you get for thinking you can touch a girl the way you want" I was stunned and walked up to her, flinching when she quickly looked back at me with furious eyes before calming herself. I can't afford to feel my heart beating to the point where it keeps on hurting every time I think of Serena.
"Oh, Sorry" she said, getting off the grunt who quickly got up after she released her foot, and dashed off to the exit.
"What happened? What did he do?" She sighed and walked toward another part of the power plants again.
"Well, he was one of the grunts that attacked the lounge and hurt one of my coworkers. I snapped and did what I had to do" she popped her wrist. I gulped, getting sick of seeing the comparisons.
We got far enough into the power plant to where a bunch of grunts were getting in our way. By accident, Yvonne and I ended up separating when having to battle the dozens on dozens of grunts who had no chance against my team. My team was getting more experience the more we battle these guys. If this keeps up, I'll start getting overpowered again.
"This is annoying" I groaned, running through a few stairs, ignoring my heavy breathing "Yvonne! Where are you?!" She was nowhere to be found. I bit my lips hard, feeling anxious, and hurried on to see if I could find her, but ended up running into a pair who was using a machine attached to another machine part of the power plant.
"How much longer, scientist?" A grunt in a white suit, which was unique from the normal red uniforms Team Flare wears, asked the girl in a red dress suit, beside him. Soft huffing was approaching me from behind. It was Yvonne shakily walking up the stairs and supporting herself on the railing. Thank Arceus she's safe...
"If you're just interested in the facts. I'd say we already have enough energy to power this device, Admin" The woman mocked to the man. He crossed his arms
"Good. Let's finish up here and move out. There's still more work to be done-" Yvonne collapsed into the last step she was on, getting the attention of the grunts in front of us.
"Yvonne" I quickly helped her up the last step and held her close to me.
"Huh... I didn't think anyone would remain here after we dealt with the workers-" Yvonne unexpectedly flung her foot between his legs, causing him to bend down. She got out my arms to knee his face so he could fall back, standing in a fighting stands. I held my heart, feeling it hard to swallow with how swollen my throat felt from all that hard breathing. "Don't do something reckless like that. Play it safe and use your Pokémon" she nodded and send out her Delphox. I looked at her Delphox in front of her, not wanting to know that that Pokémon use to be Serena's Fennekin.
"Come on, little trainers" The scientist women snorted, pulling up the admin so he could stand and send out his Pokémon with her "Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Aliana. I feel like we'll be seeing more of each other again. Now show us what you got" Yvonne and I went all out on the battle and got the two to scram after the defeat. I grabbed a nearby rail and used it to support myself, using my free hand to hold my mouth so I wouldn't throw up.
Yvonne battled unlike how I ever saw her do. Her techniques and her bold attitude was too much to handle. I held back my tears and looked at Yvonne staring at the floor while swaying side to side. I blinked a few times, trying to comprehend what was happening to us.
Two familiar individuals were coming at us, resembling my classmates and part of the student council. I didn't have enough energy to speak out to help her. My body was falling backwards while Yvonne fell forward, down the stairs. My eyes blacked out when seeing her get caught by Dexio and Sina was holding onto my head to wake me up. I passed out before knowing what happened after.
