Chapter 6: Summer Festival
On the last day of summer vacation, Koro Sensei brought the class together for a summer festival. The impoverished teacher used the stalls that the students cleared out to make extra money, Izuku grilled one of the vendors about how unfair his game was to get a game council, and Hitoshi made quick work of one of the shooting games.
The next day would mark the beginning of the second term and a whole new host of challenges. Izuku and Hitoshi sat on a park bench just outside the festival. They got bored rather quickly, and neither was a big fan of crowds. The bench overlooked a small pond, and the two watched fireflies dance over the stagnant water. It was a peaceful and pretty scene.
"Hitoshi… let's be heroes together." Izuku looked at Hitoshi with the same sparkle in his eyes that he gets when analyzing quirks. "We can be the greatest hero duo the world will never know about. We'll get into UA together, get our licenses, and be the best underground heroes. Even better than Eraserhead."
Hitoshi looked back to his green companion and smiled. "They'll never know what hit them."
Izuku lit up with an idea. The freckled boy had a malevolent grin that promised pain and confusion for his future enemies. The two discussed their plans for their future as a hero duo until they fell into a comfortable silence for a while. Eventually, Hitoshi fell asleep; his head fell on top of Izuku's. The small boy's hair acted as a fluffy pillow. Hitoshi had been having issues sleeping for as long as Izuku knew the boy, so he sat silently not to disturb his insomniac friend. He didn't move a muscle, even when Hawks and Koro Sensei started photographing them. He wouldn't let anything interfere with that moment.
