I had this idea to make secret of the wings in clarion's perspective. Please let me know what you think. *spoilers*

clarion was leaning on her balcony's railing, gazing at the sky above. It was sunset. their time. A snowy owl flew across the sky into winter. A single tear ran down her cheek. Oh milori.

*The next day*

Fairy mary lingered outside the queen's room. She was unsure how to break the news to her. She was just about to knock when the door opened. "mary!" said mary, surprised "what are you doing here?" mary bit her lip nervously. "I came to let you know that tinkerbell didn't come to work and was missing all day yesterday." Clarion frowned at this. "Where was she?" asked clarion. "She crossed into winter" said mary, dreading her queen's reaction. She was there when milori broke his wing. Clarion paled. "Thank you for telling me mary" said clarion, obviously hiding her emotions. Once mary left clarion broke down. Tears flowed freely. The memory of milori breaking his wing surfaced in her mind. And it was all her fault. Her hands roamed to her necklace, the one milori gave her. She leaned against the wall and pulled herself together. Taking a deep breath, she left for the meeting room.

*The next day*

"Queen clarion!" yelled viola hurriedly, interrupting her conversation with minister spring. "what's wrong viola?" asked clarion, worriedly. Viola never interrupted her before. This must be serious. "There is a winter fairy here!" viola informed. Clarion paled. "Where?" clarion managed to breath. "tinkerbell and her friends took her to the border." Of course, tinkerbell and her friends had something to do with it! "I am sorry minister spring I must leave." Clarion apologized before shooting off to the border

*At the border*

Clarion arrived in time to see tinkerbell yelling at milori. "Lord milori, your rule will not keep us apart!" she shouted. Clarion flew forward. "tinkerbell" clarion said sternly. Tinkerbell turned around to find her queen. "This is not lord milori's rule. It is mine" clarion said. "Queen clarion?" tinkerbell asked sadly. "I'm sorry." Clarion said softly. She felt her heart throb. Another pair of fairies who were meant to be together torn apart. This time sisters. "You should get deeper into the cold. Back to the north side of the mountain." Milori instructed. Clarion stared at her old love. Tinkerbell and periwinkle couldn't take it anymore, they ran forward and hugged tightly. Then they both flew away sadly to their sides of the border. Once they were gone clarion gazed into her old lover's eyes. How she loved those brown eyes. Her gaze turned to his cloak that covered his broken wings. She turned away sadly, glad she got to see him once. She then flew away to find tinkerbell. She knew she owed her an explanation.

*With tinkerbell*

Clarion found tinkerbell sitting in the home tree. Tinkerbell looked up to find her queen. "Queen clarion. Why?" she asked sadly. Clarion sighed. She would have to tell tinkerbell her story. No matter how painful it was. "tinkerbell. Long ago, when pixie hollow was very young, two fairies met and fell in love. One of them was a winter fairy and the other was from the warm seasons. The two were enchanted with each other and every sunset they met at the border where spring touches winter. But as their love for each other grew stronger they wished to be together and share each other's worlds. One of them broke a wing. For which there is no cure." At this tinkerbell gasped. "So, I decreed that fairies must never again cross the border and lord milori agreed that our worlds must remain forever apart." Clarion finished. "And the two fairies? What happened to them?" tinkerbell asked. Clarion turned away so her subject wouldn't see the tears rolling down her face. "They had to say goodbye." Clarion's wings drooped as she gave her answer. Tinkerbell turned to the window, heartbroken. But as she caught sight of snow she gasped sharply.

*The border*

Clarion raced to the border, tinkerbell following closely. As they flew closer to the border tinkerbell's friends joined them. "We saw the snow" explained Iridessa worriedly. Just then the ministers flew up. "Queen clarion, something is wrong!" exclaimed the minister of summer. "The temperature, it seems to be plummeting" reported the minister of autumn. "The hibiscuses are halfway to hibernation." Said the minister of summer. Clarion processed all of this. No use in panicking, which is exactly what she said to the ministers. "Now, now, ministers, let's not panic." She consoled. "Absolutely right. Snow!" the minister of spring ended in a scream as they arrived at the border. Clarion nearly fainted at the sight before her. Tinkerbell's snow maker was in the stream making heaps of snow. How was that possible? Clarion's thoughts were interrupted by bobble and clank yelling. "heave" "ho" "heave" "ho" came the yells. Tinkerbell and her friends hurriedly flew to them. "What happened? How did this get here?" she asked, confused. Clarion hovered above worried. She couldn't hear her fairies anymore; the sound of snow was too loud. After a while she heard some faint cheering. She paled at the sight of trees freezing. Her fairies flew up to her with horror struck faces. "Oh, my goodness! The seasons have been thrown out of balance" she realized. "If the temperatures keep dropping, it will freeze all of pixie hollow." The minister of spring panicked. Everyone looked at clarion for guidance. But she had none. Just then there was a sharp crack. A large tree branch had just broken off and fallen to the ground. "Oh no" clarion said in horror. "Queen clarion, the pixie dust tree." The minister of autumn gasped. Clarion's eyes grow wide. The tree! She immediately flew high into the sky and gazed at the tree in the middle of the hollow. "We must hope the tree survives. Otherwise, there will be no more pixie dust. Life in pixie hollow will change forever. And no fairy will ever fly again" clarion analyzed the situation. Everyone paled at her words unable to imagine life without pixie dust. Clarion's brain kicked into action. she turned to her fairies. "We must do all that we can!" she instructed.

*At the pixie dust tree*

She watched her fairies try to protect the pixie dust tree. They tried to cover the tree in blankets, but they kept flying off. "Queen clarion, it's not working!" clank yelled. Her worry shined in her eyes. What could she do? She turned around and stared in disbelief as tink, peri, gliss and spike rode up to her. "tinkerbell" clarion said, still in shock. "They can help" tinkerbell argued. "Our frost, it covers like a blanket. It can protect the tree." Periwinkle explained. Clarion thought for a moment. What was there to lose? There was no other way. "Do it" she ordered. Wasting no time, the frost fairies jumped up to work. After a few moments, the freeze inched ever closer. The tree is too big, clarion thought. Moments later spike confirmed what she already knew. She sighed, defeated, when she heard an owl screech. She turned to find milori guiding an entire squadron of snowy owl and frost fairies to the trees. She watched in amazement at her lover as he issued orders and frosted all the seasons. When they all regrouped back at the tree, the warm fairies began to take cover. She ignored her surroundings, focusing on her lost love. She was the only warm fairy left outside. Her heart almost stopped when milori approached her. She shivered softly. "Will everything be alright?" asked clarion, fearing the worst. "I don't know. I've never seen anything like this." Came the reply. Suddenly a bitter wind passed and the cold invaded her skin. She shivered violently. Filled with concern, milori pulled his cloak off and gave it to her, hoping to provide her some warmth. "Thank you milori" clarion said. "Please, take cover" said milori, not wanting her to get too cold. She was walking to where mary was hiding when she saw milori's broken wing. Guilt filled her. Unable to look at it any longer she hid with fairy mary.

she waited. Waited. And waited. It felt like eternity before a streak of sunshine fell across her face. She peered outside and gasped. Snow and ice covered everything. Yet the sun was shining. Soon all her fairies had emerged from their hiding places and gazed at the frozen pixie dust trail which was suspended in midair. Clarion held her breath. Did it work? Slowly, the ice began to melt. Soon, the pixie dust began to flow. All her fairies began to cheer and celebrate. Apart from one. Tinkerbell. "tink? What's wrong?" asked periwinkle. Tinkerbell silently removed her winter coat and turned around so everyone could see her wings. There was a resounding gasp. One wing was broken. "When you flew to winter, that's why you fell" periwinkle realized. "Oh no" gasped clarion. She had failed her fairies. Again. Lord milori suddenly steeped forward and placed a hand on her shoulder. "This happened because we tried to keep you apart" started lord milori. "But never again. You belong together." Finished clarion. Clarion was looked at the two sisters in sadness, when a bright light shone. She watched in amazement as the two sisters fixed tink's wing. Dewey shouted his usual "that's a new chapter!" clarion wathed happily when she felt lord milori's hand intwine with hers. Unable to contain herself she reached up and gave milori a small kiss. "Queen cla-rion" said mary. "I didn't know they were doing the smoocy smoochity. I guess there telling people now." Said dewey. Tink and peri couldn't help but giggle a little.

*In winter*

She stood in milori's arms as snowflakes and periwinkles fell from the sky. She was with the one she loved now and she was happier than ever.
