This story takes place while Steffy is still pregnant with Kelly. Her and Liam are trying to work out their issues. Hope has stated she was going to help her step sister, but since her return she has done nothing but bad mouth Steffy to Liam. She has put ideas in his head that she will always go back to Bill. She has constantly reminded him that she would never do anything like that to him, he could always count on her.

Liam found out that Bill and Steffy were no longer an item and the thought that they still were, was all a ploy by Bill to keep them apart. Kelly had been born and Liam and Steffy were ready to start their lives together, the three of them. Steffy unaware something would change her and her daughter's lives forever.

Chapter 1:

As Steffy sits in her living room, she can hear the fireworks go off for the fourth of July. She worries they may wake her beautiful infant daughter who sleeps in the next room. She can't believe how lucky she is, she is about to start the rest of her life with her loving soon to be husband, her beautiful baby girl, her dream job at her family's company. She couldn't believe how foolish she was to put all of that at risk, she is also grateful that she did no lose Liam to Hope. She stares out her sliding glass door and watches the beautiful fireworks dance over the ocean. She doesn't hear that the door opened and Liam walks in.

Liam sees Steffy watching the fireworks out the back door. He looks at her and forces a weak smile, she hasn't noticed him yet. Once he tells her the news he just heard, will she still want to marry him. She had just given birth to their daughter. Now, in about 6 months there would be another baby. He thinks back at the turn of events that caused this mess he was in. He would love to just blame Steffy, but realistically he knows he put this into motion by not sticking up for his wife, by taking the side of the woman who stole from her company, by not just telling her that he did not have feelings for a woman who betrayed Steffy. They had both played a part in the demise of their marraige, now he was just hoping that she was willing to keep moving forward.

Steffy turns around to see Liam standing there looking confused and deep in thought, "Liam?"

Liam snaps his head up to look at Steffy as he quickly gathers his thoughts, "Hey Steffy," he says as he moves to her side and gives her a kiss, "Sorry I'm late, is Kelly asleep?"

"Yes, thankfully the fireworks have not woken her up yet."

"Good, there is something we need to discuss."

Steffy looks at Liam, realizing whatever it is he wants to talk about, it obviously is not good. "What is it?" She asks nervously.

Liam takes a deep breath, he figures the best thing to do is just spit it out, "I was at Forrester, watching some of the fireworks with some of the Hope for the Future staff, since I was there working on the article for Spencer."

Steffy notices he is going into a lot of detail, probably because he is trying to stall just telling her. She gathers what ever he has to tell her is going to have to do with Hope, she just stays silent hoping she is wrong. He continues, "Hope found me," Steffy winces at the fact that she was right, "She pulled me aside," Liam takes a deep breath as he looks back up at Steffy, he sees the anxiety in her face, "There is something you don't know, the night that my father staged the office to look like an ongoing affair."

"Yeah, the night you sent me all those flowers. The night we were supposed to reconcile but you just got mad at me and left without any explination as to why you were mad at me."

Liam feels like he could kick himself over the fact that if he had just explained what Wyatt had seen he would not have been in this mess right now.

"Yes," He says making eye contact with Steffy, he can see she has pieced it together but is waiting for him to say it. "That night when I left I went to Hope's cabin. We slept together." All of Steffy's fears have now become reality, "She is pregnant Steffy."

Steffy felt her world crumbling around her. She felt so much anger, not just at Hope but mostly at the man she was supposed to spend the rest of her life with.

"Steffy," Liam reaches out to grab her hand.

The minute Steffy feels Liam touch her hand she feels disgusted and pulls it away, "Don't touch me!" Steffy says angrily as Liam gets a surprised look on his face. He knew she would be mad, but he figured he could talk his way out of it. She stares at him with pure disgust, "Get out, I need to think."

"Steffy, we need to discuss this." Liam pleaded.

"Liam I need to think," Steffy's head is still spinning, "I don't want to say anything I may regret later, and I need to figure out what I want to do."

Liam felt his heart sink to his stomach, he feels like he may have lost his chance with Steffy. He quietly nods and slowly walks out like a scolded child. Before he walks out the door he takes one last look at Steffy as she sits on the couch putting her head in her hands and cries. He is so mad at himself for hurting her like this. When he left for work this morning he had a beautiful fiance that he was about to start his life with, now he didn't even know where he was going to sleep.
