Chapter 2:

As Hope walks through her cabin door she can't help but smile to herself. She was going to have Liam Spencer's baby. She knew he was off telling Steffy right now and it was only a matter of time before he was living with her here in the cabin and they would be planning their future together. She had text her mother to tell her to come to the cabin ASAP. She wanted to tell her mother away from Ridge, she knew Ridge was going to side with Steffy. So her and her mother needed to come up with a game plan to get Ridge on their side.

She hears the door knob turning and turns around to see her mother come in, "Hey honey," Brooke says smiling at her daughter, "What's going on? You wanted to see me immidiately? Is everything ok?"

Hope plasters a huge smile on her face, "Everything is perfect Mom." Hope says as she practically floats to her mother as she grabs her in for a huge hug.

Brooke laughs, "Well I guess this means your HFTF meeting with Liam went well."

"More than well," Hope says still grinning ear to ear, "Right before the meeting I found out some wonderful news."

Brooke can't help but think that Liam told her he doesn't care if Steffy just had his baby, that he was going to be with Hope, "Is Liam coming home? Here?" Brooke guesses.

"It's only a matter of time," Hope says, "Mom, I'm pregnant!"

Brooke squeels in delight and grabs her daughter for another hug, "Oh my goodness, I'm so happy for you and Liam!"

"Me too," Hope says pulling away from her mother, "He's telling Steffy right now. But I need your help. How are we going to tell Ridge? You know he is going to side with Steffy."

"Yeah probably," Brooke says thinking, "You leave Ridge to me. I'll explain everything, he'll come around."

Hope smiles at her mother and gives her another hug.

Meanwhile at Steffy's...

Steffy sits in her living room thinking about her options. She doesn't necessarily want to throw away her relationship with Liam. Especially since she herself was just recently not so innocent, but she doesn't know if she can stand this back and forth. She decided she would let her head cool down before talking with Liam, but she needed to confide in someone, she needed someone to lean on.

She wished her mother had not gone back to Africa, she knew she was doing important work and needed to do some soul searching after everything that happened with Bill. She still thought there was something her mother was hiding from her, she didn't believe for one second that she was Bill's shooter. But that was a different problem that she would eventually get to the bottom of. She was in regular contact with Thomas and Caroline, but they were all the way in New York and preparing for the arrival of their second child, a daughter. She always had her father, he recently seemed to have her back when it came to Liam and Hope, but he was so close to Brooke, she didn't know if she could trust him to be completely on her side. What she wouldn't give to have her sister Phoebe back right now.

After she weighed her options she decided to call Ridge. She picks up her phone and dials her father's number, "Hey Steffy," Her father says in what seems like a upbeat tone. So it would seem that he does not know.

"Hey Dad, where are you right now?"

"I just left the office, I'm on my way home."

"Do you think you can come over," Steffy chokes back a tear, Ridge can hear the pain in her voice, "I could really use a friendly face."

"Of course, where is Liam?" Ridge inquires.

"I'll tell you when you get here."

A few minutes later, Ridge pulls up to Steffy's and walks in. He sees his daughter pacing her living room in tears. He immediately walks over to her to hug her, he hates to see his daughter feeling so emotional after such an amazing moment. "What's wrong sweetie." He says as he cradles his sobbing daughter.

"Hope is preganat with Liam's baby." Steffy blurts out still sobbing.

Ridge pulls back so he can look into Steffy's eyes, "What? Liam is your fiance, you just had a baby together. How did that happen."

After explaining to Ridge what happened he listens in disbelief and anger at Liam and Hope. How could they have done that to her. Hope had told Steffy she was going to help her communicate with Liam and repair their relationship but it would seem she had another agenda. And Liam, Ridge had come to the reality that Bill had not raped his daughter. He still maintained that she was taken advantage of, but he now believes his daughter that it was consenual. But Liam had agreed to put that past him and move on.

"I don't know what to do Dad, do I try to keep my family together?"

"If that is what you want, I'm by your side 100%." Steffy smiles knowing her father will side with her, still she is concerned about Brooke. Ridge continues, "You should sleep on it. Kelly is not going to be sleeping for long, you should get some rest."

Steffy thinks her father is right, she is a sleep deprived new mother. It's time to rest.
