Metroplex watched as the Ark left cybertron using the energon he once had in his body. A smile crossed his face as his systems began to shut down. "Till all are one." He said before going offline expecting to rejoin the matrix. Fate, however, had other plans for the autobot titan.
The titan's optics came online. He glanced around in curiosity. "Where am I?" he pondered. "You are in a state between life and death Metroplex." An ancient and wise voice said. "who's there?" the titan yelled out. "I am Primus." The voice said. "Primus, may I ask as to why I'm here?" Metroplex asked.
"I have chosen you for a task that is too great for a normal cybertronian. A world is on the brink of destruction by monsters called Grimm and their leader Salem." The area around Metroplex shifted to a ruined landscape. "If not stopped Salem will bring ruin to the world and enter an era of darkness. I want you to aid Ruby Rose and defeat her. Ruby is a silver-eyed warrior, yet doesn't know how special her eyes are."
An image of the girl in question appeared in front of Metroplex. "If I'm to aid her, how am I to fit in?" he asked the god of all transformers. "While you will retain your robot form, you'll also gain a human form as well."
"However, you will be in stasis lock when you arrive on remnant. She will bring you out of stasis lock just as Optimus did. Do you accept this mission metroplex?" Primus asked.
Metroplex stared at the image of Ruby. She was an organic just like the inhabitants of the planet the Autobots were headed to. So fragile. "I accept." The autobot titan said without hesitation.
With that, Metroplex exited the plane in a flash of light and found himself back in his transformed state awaiting the day he was needed once more
10,000 YEARS LATER
Ruby and her team were running from a massive Grimm called a titan created by Dr. Merlot. When they had taken the mission to track the mad scientist down she thought it'd be easy since they'd beaten him before. "May I ask why the hell you thought it was a good idea to fight that giant Grimm?" Weiss Schnee asked. "I have to agree with Weiss on this one sis." Yang Xiao Long, Ruby's older half-sister, said. "I admit not my best plan, but still, we have to kill it." Ruby stated. Blake Belladonna, the final member of team RWBY nodded. "At least it can't get in here." she said.
Weiss scoffed. "Yes, hiding in an ancient building is completely safe." She snarked. Yang frowned. "Uh guys, this building looks too futuristic to be ancient." Blake frowned as the door behind them shut. "What the?" she said looking behind her. Ruby panicked as a door behind her opened, revealing a cavern.
"That's pretty deep." Blake said. "And there's a door across from us." Weiss shook her head. "We should head back." Yang grabbed her by the collar of her jacket. "Door's shut and locked. The only way out is forward." She said. "And just HOW are we supposed to do that?" the Schnee said gesturing to the chasm. "There could be some bridge controls by the door." Ruby said. suddenly the room shook as panels opened up and formed a walkway to the door across the chasm. "Well, that works." Yang deadpanned.
The group of four continued on the path made by whoever was guiding them. "Ok, this is getting ridiculous. We should be fighting Merlot and his Grimm excluding that giant Grimm mind you." Weiss said. "I agree." Blake said as they entered an empty room with no doors.
Ruby fell to her knees. "Please whoever's guiding us, I ask. No, I beg you. Help us please. We can't beat Merlot by ourselves." The sound of shifting metal resounded as the floor opened up revealing a switch while lights illuminated it.
"Well, that's very helpful." Yang said sarcastically. Weiss and Blake nodded in agreement. Ruby, on the other hand, felt compelled to flip it.
"Ruby, what are you doing?" Weiss said as the scarlet reaper grasped the lever. "Please work." Ruby said flipping it. Mere seconds went by before the room shook violently as the walls shifted. "WHAT'S GOING ON!" Blake yelled. "RUBY, YOU DOLT! WE'RE GOING TO DIE!" Weiss yelled as the floor began to rise.
MEANWHILE
Merlot laughed thinking that team RWBY was defeated thanks to his new Grimm titan when the ground started to shake. His eyes widen as what appeared to be a metal building split apart and reformed. "Dear Oum." He muttered as a gigantic foot came down crushing several Grimm.
After ten thousand years, Metroplex had awoken.
"Holy cow!" Yang said whistling at the view. "Uh guys. Look." Blake said pointing behind them. They stood in shock as a giant face looked at them "Metroplex heeds the call of the silver-eyed warrior." It said in a baritone voice. The four girls shook in terror. "Awaiting your orders."
Team RWBY looked at each other. Yang's eyes widened remembering what the titan had said. "Rubes, he's talking to you." She said "Me!?" Ruby yelled before looking at Metroplex's face. The titan merely nodded.
Glanced around before spotting what they had been running from. "See that giant Grimm. Can you fight it while my team and I deal with Dr. merlot. Metroplex nodded before lowering his hand to be level with a cliff. "I shall deal with it while you find this Dr. merlot." Ruby nodded. "Well then, lets go team RWBY!" she yelled. Metroplex began to walk towards the Grimm roughly his size while his charge and her team went after the doctor. Metroplex stared down the Grimm titan. "I will defeat you abomination no matter the cost."
The Grimm let out a roar while the autobot let out a war cry and charged
[Pacific Rim theme plays]
Ruby ran towards Merlot's facility while hearing the thunderous foot steps of their gigantic ally. Sparing a glance, she watched Metroplex harpoon tackled the Grimm titan into a cliff face shattering it to pieces. "Whoa." She said in disbelief. "Ok, that's badass." Ruby heard Yang say.
Metroplex backed away from the enemy titan before launching missiles nailing the Grimm. The autobot threw a left hook, knocking the Grimm titan away from the research facility. "And now you die creature of darkness." Metroplex said firing his shoulder and arm cannons that blasted a hole into the titan.
[end ost]
"Holy shit!" Yang exclaimed in shock. "That's… that's some serious firepower." Blake stuttered. Weiss was speechless. She didn't know if this Metroplex was some kind of relic from a highly advanced civilization that was wiped out or not. One thing was certain in the heiress' eyes. He was on their side and she was thankful for that.
"Ok, we're at the gate now how are we…" Ruby started to say before a giant fist came down destroying the obstacle. The four looked to the fist's owner. "Thanks. I guess." The scarlet reaper said. Metroplex nodded.
Suddenly several missiles and projectiles struck the autobot causing him to topple backwards. "METROPLEX!" the four huntresses yelled as guards surrounded them. The autobot hit the ground causing a tremor. After it passed, the guards aimed their weapons at them. "don't even think about it." One said.
"So, we meet face to face at last team RWBY." A grey-haired man said while smirking evilly. "Merlot, if you think we'll cooperate forget about it." Yang said. "What if I mutate your dear leader since I just killed your gigantic ally." Merlot boasted. Yang snarled. She definitely would give this asshole a beating once she got free. "Sis, look." Ruby whispered. The blonde's eyes widened as a familiar face appeared in the window behind the mad doctor.
Unaware to merlot, he had merely knocked Metroplex out cold, and now the cybertronian titan was awake and extremely pissed off. Ruby smirked. "Why are you smiling despite me threatening to mutate you?" Merlot fumed.
"I'm wondering why you didn't check." Ruby said as Metroplex began to reach for the roof of the building they were in. "Check for what?" Merlot snarked. "To see if there was a pulse you fucking idiot." Weiss said before four metal fingers and a thumb tore through the ceiling and ripped it off the foundation.
"But I killed you!" Merlot yelled in denial. "As Ruby Rose's friend said. you should've checked for a pulse." Metroplex quipped raising his fist. "We need to take him alive metroplex." Ruby said. the cybertronian titan gave a slight nod before lightly (if possible) flicking the mad scientist.
"Anyone else want a piece of our big friend here?" yang taunted the guards. They looked up at Metroplex, whose glowing eyes dared any one of them to attack Ruby and her team. Several cries of 'nope' and 'I'm good' were heard. "Then I suggest you uncuff Ruby Rose and her team before surrendering." Metroplex said.
AN HOUR LATER
"Let me get this straight, you're a robot sent by your leader in the future to act as my sister's bodyguard because of the Grimm?" Yang asked metroplex while sitting on his shoulder. "More or less." The titan nodded. They didn't need to know about Salem or the fact that he's an alien robot just yet. "Unfortunately, the controls were tempered with so I arrived ten thousand years too early."
"That's one hell of a nap." Yang joked cheekily making Metroplex chuckle. "Got it." Weiss said. "Got what?" Ruby asked. "a signal to call professor ozpin. Metroplex could stand still please so I don't lose it?"
"Regardless, thanks Metroplex for helping us." Blake said. "And before Ruby says it… welcome to our team."

A/N: thus begins my first RWBY/Transformers fanfic. More specifically, a crossover between RWBY and Transformers: Fall of Cybertron/War for Cybertron. I find Metroplex's design in that game way cooler than his G1 or Transformers: Cybertron design.
And yes I know this chapter went a little too fast, but for a reason. The rest of the story will be slow. I'm also skipping season 1. I don't view the ending of volume 8 and the entirety of volume 9 as canon in this story and my bad batch/RWBY story.
