Metroplex scanned the skies for the transport Weiss had called a bull head. Despite his great size, his entire body would be submerged otherwise he'd have given ruby and her team a lift back to vale. "There!" Blake said seeing the transport "So, I guess this is where we part ways. Regardless, as Blake said. welcome to Team RWBY as a honorary member." Ruby said standing next to Metroplex's head. The others stood up while the Robotic titan raised his hand so they and a still unconscious Merlot to get on board.
Metroplex glanced down at the group of huntresses. "Negative. Do not forget I was tasked to protect you at all costs." The Autobot said. "And you did. What else could be threatening her life?" Yang asked. "Unfortunately, I can't tell you at this time." Metroplex said. "So, it's classified." Weiss said. the Autobot nodded.
"I shall follow. However. It could be a few days to arrive at this Vale. and before you ask. I can track Ruby's communication device." Weiss and Blake nodded. "Well sis," Yang said looking at Ruby. "You just got yourself a bodyguard of titanic proportions." She then looked to Metroplex "no offense."
Metroplex then chuckled. "None taken in fact back home. I, along with a few others were classified as titans." He said as the bullhead landed on Metroplex's hand. "See you in a few days Big guy." Yang yelled as their transport took off. Metroplex nodded "I will let you know when I'm near vale." He said before following wading deeper into the water.
"Think the guys at beacon will believe us?" Yang asked as Metroplex's head vanished beneath the water. "I doubt they will yang. At least until they actually see him." Weiss said.
5 HOURS LATER
"Let me get this straight. Merlot had a new type of Grimm. You ran into an ancient yet futuristic Building that turned out to be a giant robot that was how big?" Glynda Goodwitch said rubbing her forehead trying to ease a non-existent headache. "Roughly the size of the school's height, tower included." Ruby said with a nervous smile.
"Miss Rose, that is the most ridiculous story I've ever heard." the professor said. "I'm inclined to agree Miss rose." Ozpin said. "Metroplex, that's his name, said that it'll take him a few days to reach vale professors. He'll alert Ruby when he's near vale." Weiss said. Ozpin sighed. "Very well. Let us know when he's near." He said.
"That went better than expected." Yang said. "Now we wait. Right?" the rest of team RWBY nodded. "Hey guys. How'd it go?" a cheery voice asked. The team turned to see Nora and the rest of team JNPR. "Does meeting a giant robot on our mission count? Then yeah it did." Blake said.
"A giant robot… sounds like something out of my comic books." Jaune said. "How tall was he?" Nora asked. "Roughly the entire school height-wise tower included." Team JNPR's eyes widened in amazement. They wondered how much dust was needed to power such a massive robot. "You're welcome to meet him when he arrives though he'd have to lift you up to his level." Blake said
3 DAYS LATER
So, anything from the big guy ruby?" Yang asked while brushing her hair. Before ruby could answer, her scroll buzzed. Frowning, ruby opened it and her eyes widened. "Nearing Vale's docks. Bring your friends and teachers. -Metroplex. "Weiss alert professor Goodwitch that Metroplex is nearing the docks. Yang get Jaune and his team." She ordered. "On it." Yang said as Weiss brought out her scroll. "The professor and headmaster will definitely be speechless." Blake said getting up to depart.
AT THE DOCKS
"So will this so named Metroplex even show up?" Goodwitch said as she, Ozpin, and team JNPR followed team RWBY. "He will. after all, he's Ruby's bodyguard. "I know you said he was tall, but the size of the school itself? That's a little far fetched if you ask me." Ren said. "You sure about that." Blake said seeing the water distort as if something was pushing it up.
Before anyone else made a comment, Metroplex broke the surface. Water cascaded from his body like a waterfall whilst he slowly stood up. Both professors' eyes widened. Ozpin nearly choked on his coffee while Goodwitch dropped her riding crop. Team RWBY hadn't been joking about his size. This Metroplex was taller than the dock's cargo cranes. Some civilians passing by froze at the sight of the Autobot titan, some ran in fright, but not enough to attract Grimm.
"Down here Metroplex!" Ruby yelled gaining the metal titan's attention. Metroplex leaned down and rested his hand against the docks. "It's safe. we can all fit on his hand" Blake said as Ruby got on the titan's hand. "How so, Miss belladonna?" Ozpin asked. "A bullhead landed on it."
"I assume the adults are teachers at beacon Ruby Rose?" Metroplex asked. "Yes, but please call me ruby, not Ruby Rose." The scarlet reaper said. Metroplex nodded. "And the others?" Ruby glanced at whom her bodyguard was referring to. "that's team JNPR Metroplex. We're friends with them." Weiss said. "Metroplex," ozpin called out. The titan's gaze fell upon him.
"May I ask as to why you're acting as Miss Rose's bodyguard when she's perfectly safe at Beacon?" Metroplex's optics dimmed and both professors' scrolls dinged. "I'm sorry that is classified, all I was asked was to guard her from Grimm."
Ozpin and Goodwitch took out their scrolls and their eyes widened at the single word that was in the message; SALEM.
'This robotic titan knows about her? How?' Ozpin screamed in his head. "Now where's this Beacon Academy?" Metroplex asked glancing around. "See that building on the cliff." Jaune said pointing in Beacon's direction. Metroplex glanced in the direction he was pointing before raising his hand to his shoulder. "If you wish for a lift, get on.
As soon as everyone was aboard, Metroplex began walking towards the academy. "So, big guy. If you're setting up shop at beacon, how're you going to guard Ruby? You obviously can't fit through the door." Yang asked. Everyone glanced to the Titan's head for an answer. Though none could see or tell, Metroplex mentally gave the blonde a cheeky smirk.
"You'll see." He said as they approached Beacon's cliff. "Tell me Ruby, how'd you and your team find me in the first place?" Ozpin answered. "We had gotten word that Dr. Merlot had surfaced again after teams RWBY and JNPR stopped him and his mutated Grimm." This peaked the Autobot's interest. "Mutant Grimm?" he asked. "Bioluminescent colored Grimm that explode if killed." Weiss said. "I see." Yang then picked up on the explanation.
"When we found him, we were expecting ourselves to be fighting another mutant deathstalker. They look like scorpions by the way. Instead, we faced that Grimm titan and entered your body so to speak." She said. "To hide from it?" Metroplex asked. Blake nodded. "We trekked through some hallways and eventually found a switch that activated you. The rest you already know." She said
When they reached the cliff, metroplex raised his hand and placed the group of ten on the ground. "If you need a place to hide big guy the emerald forest is that way." Yang said pointing in a direction. The titan nodded. "See you in a bit." He said before lumbering off towards the forest.
"Well professors, believe us now?" Ruby asked as Metroplex's heavy footsteps faded away. Ozpin cleared his throat. "Yes, but I must ask. How exactly is he going to fit into the school." He asked. Team RWBY frowned. Before any of them could answer. A voice spoke up.
"Like this ozpin." Everyone turned to see a rather tall young adult wearing black pants with while armor covering the. he had a white jacket over a black t-shirt, however, the front right of the jacket was black. He had white armor over the arms as well. A single twin barreled turret on both upper portions was visible. There were two cannons on his left shoulder armor He had brown hair and scarlet eyes. In his left hand was a helmet and in his right was what appeared to be a red gun.
Everyone was on guard until ruby noticed a familiar symbol on the right side of the jacket. "Metroplex, is that you!?" she yelled. The young adult chuckled.
"Yeah it's me." the Autobot titan turned human said approaching them. Yang and Blake's eyes widen at Metroplex's height as a human. "How tall are you? Got to be seven feet." Yang said. "Seven feet and seven inches actually, Yang Xiao Long." Metroplex said
The blonde gave an impressed whistle. "You'll definitely will have heads turning." She said. "Pardon?" Metroplex asked. "What miss Xiao Long means is that you'll be quite the subject to many students be it jealousy from boys or lovesick looks from girls." Ozpin stated.
"I see." Metroplex said sweat dropping. 'This isn't what I had in mind. Not that being in a relationship is bad. It'd be a hinderance to the mission. Primus, I'm starting to sound like ultra-Magnus.' The titan mentally facepalmed.
"Anyways, Metroplex's initiation will be…" Ozpin began. "I do not intend to join Beacon." Metroplex said cutting him off. "If you wish to protect her then you will have to attend Beacon. You will be exempt from tests and exams, but you will have to attend classes." Glynda countered.
Metroplex's eyes narrowed before ruby tapped him on the arm. "Just do it. Like professor Goodwitch said. you'll be exempt from tests and exams." She said. "Very well. However, if I get into an altercation or I get myself involved in an altercation. I will NOT be held responsible for any injuries I may cause. These are my terms."
Ozpin frowned. He didn't like where this was going. It definitely wasn't in his favor. His scroll dinged. The headmaster glanced at it. And his eyes widened slightly; I WILL NOT BE YOUR PAWN. ACCEPT THE TERMS OR I WILL BE TAKING RUBY, HER TEAM, AND FRIENDS FAR FROM YOU OZMA. How did Metroplex know his original name?!
"Very well, but I request that you not kill the people instigating the altercations." Ozpin said. Goodwitch looked at him in disbelief. "Now, Metroplex's initiation will be two days from now. That gives you enough time to get used to the layout of the school" The titan nodded. "Now lunch should be going on shortly I suggest you nine get something to eat."
As the group left Goodwitch looked at ozpin furious. "Why did you agree ozpin, we can't just let him hurt students." She yelled. "Glynda, he knew my original name." Ozpin said. "I don't know how or why. We should be very cautious around him." Glynda looked in the direction of Metroplex. "What now?" she asked. "We wait."
