You can find all the necessery information at the bottom of the chapter.

The black screen slowly started to fade away, gradually revealing a patch of fresh, green grass. The camera closed up even more, focusing on a worm wriggling itself out of the dirt and facing the sun. A goofy, animated grin spread across its face. The shot was peaceful, with the sounds of trees swaying in the wind and the worm tuning in with the dance of nature. That is, until a seagull whose neck was stuck in a plastic can, snatched the pink animal and swallowed it. The bird let out an ear-piercing scream and flew towards the beach. It passed a middle-aged man with black hair covered in gel, whose smirk revealed shiny, white teeth.

"Are we live?" He asked, looking right through the lenses of the camera.

"Actually, the show is never live, we have to edit it first-"

"That's not what I meant and you know it! Did I hire Harold as an intern? Gosh!" The host sarcastically said the phrase often used by the mentioned camper and rolled his eyes. "It was a rhetorical question!"

"We are live, Pretty Boy." A scruffy voice grumbled off-screen.

The black-haired man's expression instantly changed from an annoyed one to his signature pleased one.

"Welcome back to... Camp Wawanakwa! The island, where it all began!" He waved towards the forest, and the enormous cliff behind it. "It's your favourite host, Chris McLean, here to provide you with entertainment for the whole summer, with a brand new season of Total Drama!"

Chris started walking along the dock, while the cameras followed him.

"This time, we chose the most memorable members of the entire cast to battle it out once and for all," he explained, while the screen flashed pictures of a terrified Gwen and an angry Courtney, who was being held back by Duncan.

"We also brought back some fan favourites." A picture of meditating Dawn was shown. She was sitting on a beach rock with Zoey standing next to her and looking rather uncomfortable.

"...And the ones who were the most desperate for some screentime." Chris frowned but soon his face was covered with shots of a grinning Topher and rapping Sugar dressed in a ridiculous pink outfit.

"An annoying bunch, if you ask me. Now, this group of emotional, hormone-fueled teenagers are gonna fight, make new friends and maybe even fall in love, while competing for 5.000.000 dollars, here on... Total! Drama! Stardom!"

*Intro - I will make one for the next chapter as I don't want to spoil the cast just yet.*

Chris was now standing on the end of the dock, ready to reintroduce the audience to the cast of past campers. Soon, the first boat came into view. It looked quite prestigious as if its owner was either a well-known politician or an A-list celebrity. A short stack of stairs came out from the side of the boat that was facing the wooden bridge. A girl dressed in a blue hoodie, shorts and sporting a blonde ponytail stepped out of the vehicle. She was holding a surfboard. Her relaxed face quickly change into a worried one.

"Chris...? You said that this time around we were going to have more... normal accommodations." She uttered, looking around the littered sand and murky water.

"Ohohoho!" Chris let out a deep, belly laugh. "Oh, our very own Malibu Barbie, Bridgette, as naive as ever! Don't fret just yet, we actually thought of something this time. I wouldn't want to ruin the surprise though!" He winked at the camera, as Bridgette made place for the next contestant.

Sighing, she tossed her surfboard to the ground, now aware that it wouldn't be much of use.

Chris turned around, expecting to see another boat, yet he was greeted with a tormented face of a boy wearing a blue toque, currently breathing down his neck.
The host shrieked, sounding just like a little girl whose ice cream splattered on the concrete. He regained his composure after a few seconds but his cheeks still darkened in embarrassment.

"Ezekiel! Has anyone ever told you about personal space?!"

Ezekiel blinked slowly.

"Maybe they mentioned something like that in the lab, eh. I don't really remember though..."

Chris just shoved him in the direction where Bridgette stood.

"Move it, dude."

"Hi..." Bridgette smiled nervously, still remembering Ezekiel's zombie-like form.

Ezekiel smiled back, revealing half-rotten teeth. Bridgette gagged and covered her mouth with her hands. She managed to swallow but when Ezekiel wasn't paying attention, she took a few steps away from him.

"Anyway, here's one of the fan favourites, the Nice Twin, Samey!"

Dressed in her classic cheerleader outfit, Sammy stepped onto the dock and waved at the camera but passed Chris without a word. He didn't seem to mind.
Sammy's face only lightened upon seeing Bridgette.

"Hi! I am a big fan of yours! I loved your songs from World Tour!" she exclaimed, taking place next to her, swiftly avoiding making contact with Ezekiel.

Bridgette became bashful, remembering her not-very-pleasant time in the third season.

"Thanks! Sorry, I don't think I've seen your season... I don't watch TV. Samey, is it?""Sammy." The girl quickly corrected her fellow blonde. "No one really calls me 'Samey' anymore... Well, except for him."

She pointed at Chris. Bridgette nodded and both of the girls glared at the host. He chuckled in response.

"Hi, guys!"

"Push-over turned powerhouse, the Indie Chick, Zoey!" Chris announced the arrival of the contestant from Revenge of The Island.

The red-headed teen looked around in shock.

"Wow, the island looks much different! It's not a toxic wasteland anymore... I mean, it still looks terrible and- Oh! Sorry, was that mean?" She stumbled over her words and scratched her arm, glancing at Chris.

He just shrugged and pointed with his finger to the end of the dock.

"Don't care! Don't hog the spotlight!"

"I wasn't trying to do that..." Zoey mumbled but walked away obediently.

Another boat pulled up to the dock, carrying a short teenager with dark hair, and three layers of clothing consisting of a blue and white shirt and a red vest. He wasn't interested in his surrounding, instead being engrossed in a book. The camera did a quick close-up to show the title; The Complete Tales and Poems Of Edgar Allan Poe.

"How edgy," Chris commented, seeing what the camera focused on. "The so-called Schemer, who has never made the merge despite being in two seasons; Noah!"

Noah didn't acknowledge the insult but did put away his book to familiarize himself with the competition. Upon inspecting the present group he snorted and went back to reading.

"Charming," Bridgette whispered to Sammy, who giggled.

"Next we have... Jo, the female jock!"

"Zip it, McLean." A muscular girl with dirty blonde hair and delicate, violet eyes that didn't quite fit her aesthetic, made it into the dock. "This time, I intend to win. No Brick-for-brains nor Brightning is going to stop me."

She stormed off and took place farther from the group. Zoey raised her hand to greet her, but one angry look from the aggressive camper was enough to shut her up.

An air horn sound boomed across the water, prompting Chris to place his hands over his ears.

A slightly overweight teenager moved in slow motion, allowing cameras to close up on his unwashed clothes and gigantic hair that bounced up and down with every movement.

Chris gritted his teeth.

"The human soundboard - Beardo, everybody! Now, scram!"

Beardo instantly picked up the pace and stopped next to Sammy.

"Oh, we were on the same season!" noticed the cheerleader. "Team Maskwak, right?"

The hairy boy made a 'ding-ding-ding!' sound in response.

"Time for a big entrance! The most controversial couple in Total Drama history: Gwen and Duncan!"

"Actually, we're not together anymore."

Chris turned around with a genuinely shocked expression painted on his face. The latest boat brought two people; a goth girl with dark clothes, make-up and dyed hair and a boy whose whole demeanour screamed "danger".

"W-what?! But the ratings!" Chris dramatically fell to his knees and raised his arms to the sky. "My ratiiiings!"

Gwen just rolled her eyes in annoyance but Duncan pulled Chris to a standing position.

"If it helps, I'm not too thrilled either dude. Goth chicks are not an easy catch these days." He shrugged.

That caused Gwen to crack a smile.

"Oh, please." She said jokingly and came up to Bridgette to share a hug and say hi.

"Why did you break up? If I may ask...?" questioned Zoey, blushing a little when the ex-couple looked at her.

"I guess we're better as friends," Gwen explained. "Yeah, making out was nice-" she quickly glanced at Duncan, who nodded at her to continue."-but it's not enough to build a romantic relationship. It almost felt like being friends with benefits."

"GWEN IS A BOYFRIEND STEALER~!"

The best singing voice in Total Drama history was greatly magnified by a megaphone that its freckled owner was holding. She hopped off the boat before it stopped, landing gracefully on the wood.

"They're not together." Chris interrupted her before she let out another note.

"WHAT?!"

"I know, I'm devastated too! Their relationship was the sole reason we invited your trio back!" He whined loudly.

Before Courtney was able to gather her thoughts, another contestant arrived.

"Did lil' ol' me hear singin'?!" Plump, tall, blonde girl with baby blue eyes asked, excitement pouring from her voice. "Get ready, cos your pageant queen is ready for some rappin'!

"Sugar! Be quiet! Remember why you got kicked off the last time?" Chris's mood improved significantly once he got back to throwing around mean remarks. "With the rest of the group, off you go! Same goes for you, C.I.T. Wannabe!"

He snatched the megaphone from Courtney's hands, as she was still standing next to Sugar.

"I'm not a 'Wannabe' I WAS a C.I.T.!"

She finally moved to place herself on Noah's left. Sugar walked over to Beardo and rested her hands on her waist.

"Dont'ya try and get a piece of that, ya hear?" she warned him, swaying her hips.

Beardo shivered.

"Next up... Former Bubble-Boy and the winner of Revenge of the Island, Cameron!"

Zoey ran up to her friend and bend down to hug the shorter boy. Cameron returned the hug.

"It's nice to see you! Although I would prefer the circumstances of our reunion to be a little different..." Cameron admitted but nonetheless joined the group of teenagers.

He stood between Zoey and Noah.

"Oh, you like the greatest author of American Romanticism, Edgar Allan Poe, too?" he asked the bookworm, excitement shining in his black eyes.

"Finally, someone with a smidge of taste," Noah smirked and allowed Cameron to peek at the pages and busy himself with reading while waiting for the rest of the contestants.

"Nerds..." Sugar whispered, earning a nod from Duncan.

"Now for the most boring contestant e-ver...! Rodney!" Chris shouted when the large red-headed farmer left the boat and towered over the host, casting a shadow over the shorter man. "Yeah, I have no idea who invited him either."

Rodney didn't react to Chris's words, most likely not even hearing them, as he was too pumped to be back on the show.

"Woohoo!" he yelled and ran up to the group, high-fiving Beardo on the way.

"Good to finally see some enthusiasm in ya," said Chris, narrowing his eyes on the rest of the campers. "Come on, you're competing for 5 million dollars, you should be grateful!"

"Most of us," Gwen growled and crossed her arms on her chest. "Only came back because of your stupid contracts and if it weren't for those, we would never choose to see your sorry ass ever again."

"Ouch!" Chris pretended that her statement caused him physical pain, as he clutched his heart. "The cat finally grew claws!"

Before Gwen managed to come up with an answer, a high-pitched voice made it clear who the next contestant was.

"Ohh! I love cats! Where are those fluffballs?!"

A gorgeous blonde girl dressed in a short top and equally short skirt and rocking a pair of cow boots, raised her hand to her blue eyes as if looking for the missing creatures.

"The Blonde Bombshell, Lindsay!" Chris then turned to the girl. "As silly as you are hot! Welcome aboard!"

Lindsay looked lost.

"But I just came off the board..." she scratched her chin but Chris sent her towards new and old friends of hers before she said anything else.

"Hii!" Lindsay greeted everyone, hugging them one by one.

"Dudley!"

"Sup, Blondie." Duncan patted her on the back.

"Norbert!"

"You know it's Noah." Noah's voice was muffled, as Lindsay pressed his smaller body to hers.

"Brittney!"

"What's up?" Bridgette fist-bumped the girl.

"And... Emmett!"

"You know what, close enough, eh!" Ezekiel was well pleased with the physical contact.

Lindsay let go of Ezekiel with a shriek, finally seeing (and smelling) his poor dental hygiene. While backing away, she tripped over a loose plank and fell right into Gwen. The goth girl caught the ditzy blonde, although she wasn't too thrilled about the idea of touching her.

"Thanks, Greta!" she chirped and then reached into a pocket on the back of her skirt. "That reminds me, I made you a gift!"

Gwen raised an eyebrow. Soon on the top of her head rested a flower crown mostly made of forget-me-nots.

Duncan stifled a laugh.

"Uh... Thanks?" Gwen's face was sour but she didn't take off the headpiece.

"No problem!" Lindsay beamed, not noticing Gwen's discomfort.

Courtney huffed in annoyance.

"Let's get this thing going already!"

"Yeah, enough with the love fest!" barked Jo.

"I'm on it, it's a-"

Chris's sentence was interrupted by the appearance of a short, pale girl with pointy ears and long silver hair.

"-Half-hour show, after all." she finished for him.

"As if that was hard to guess," Chris snarked, trying to hide the fact that the eccentric contestant left him startled. "The Moonchild, or whatever that people call her, Dawn!"

The seagull from the opening shot appeared on the screen again and landed on Dawn's shoulder, snuggling into her neck.

"Awww." Dawn cooed at the bird and joined the group.

Surprisingly, she didn't place herself next to familiar faces such as Zoey or Jo and instead stopped on Bridgette's right, the opposing end of the dock.

"Next up... Dakotazoid!"

"I'm afraid that's not as up-to-date as you might think Chris..."

A boat twice as big as previous ones pulled up to the dock, only to deliver an almost normal-looking girl to the island.

Her blonde hair had neon green streaks going through it, she possessed pointy teeth and was around 185 cm (6 feet) tall. Other than that, she was dressed in a typical girly-girl fashion; a pastel pink shirt and magenta-coloured pants.

"Why do you guys not inform me about stuff like this?! We spent like 10k bucks on that giant boat!" lamented Chris, also having Gwen and Duncan's break-up in mind.

"Looks like this season is a fiasco already!" Courtney commented melodically.

"Says the girl who bought herself into the second season and still lost." Jo snickered to which Courtney responded with an angry grunt.

"At least everyone can tell that I am, in fact, a girl." The brunette laughed and Jo raised her fist but was stopped by Dawn.

"Guys, enough. It's exactly what Chris wants." She accused the host, who simply pouted.

"Way to ruin the fun, Hippie. No matter. Time for the biggest heartthrob of Total Drama franchise! It's..."

Chris delayed the announcement, as the air around the waters and dock filled with sparkles and jazz music that started playing from seemingly nowhere. Everyone (even some of the boys), safe for Lindsay and Dawn, was blinded by the next contestant's beauty.

"...Justin!"

An extremely handsome, tanned boy dressed in simple, yet stylish clothes winked at the camera with his crystal-clear eyes. The screen trembled for a moment, as the cameramen got weak in his knees.

"Now, that's whata girl needs!" Sugar drooled, leaving a saliva puddle by Beardo's feet, who was too charmed to notice.

Justin shot her flirtatious smile, causing the Pageant Queen to faint and fall on an unsuspecting Cameron. He flung his arms around, the only parts of his body not covered in Sugar's flesh. Rodney took pity on him and held up the girl just for enough time for Cameron to crawl out from under her.

Once her face slammed on the hard surface, the blonde woke up with a moan.

"Sugar, are you okay?!"

An athletic, short girl jumped from her boat, swirling into the air in an elegant pose and landed in front of her former teammate. She crouched and helped Sugar get back on her feet.

"Sky! The runner-up in Pakithew Island, who still believes she would have won if it weren't for Dave!" Chris hosted up a picture of the said boy.

Sky ran up to it and punched right through the paper.

"Don't. Mention. Him." She growled, her fist still curled up.

"Whoa! Sorry, didn't realize it was a sensitive subject!" Chris smiled smugly at the camera when Sky backed off. "And yes, we did print out the picture just to piss her off," he added, now whispering.

"Chris! Have you been working out lately? You look really tired!"

"Aaaaand that's why I didn't want him back." Chris made a disgusted face. "The guy with no personality on his own, Topher!"

A rather handsome boy with light brown hair and clothes looking like a more modern version of Chris's outfit passed the host with an innocent smile.
His eyes widened slightly upon the sight of Sammy.

"Wow, they really chose you instead of your sister? A bold choice, a fierce person like Amy would have brought a lot more viewers! If I was the producer, I would have rejected the boring, goody-two-shoes Samey right off the bat!"

"It's Sammy..." the cheerleader corrected him quietly, looking down at the floor. "And it's not like I applied, they just showed up at my house with the contract we signed six months ago..."

"Wait! So is it Samey or Sammy?" asked Justin, his blue eyes flickering between the girl and Topher.

"It's Samey! Uh- I mean, it's Sammy...!" the girl answered unintelligibly, her brain too occupied by the view of a handsome boy.

She slapped herself on the forehead in embarrassment.

"Welp, that doesn't really help..." Ezekiel voiced his opinion.

Sammy just sighed in response.

The last boat finally arrived.

"And to finish off the introductions... The enemy of many, including a shark, the sleazy farm boy... Scott!"

"NO!" Zoey and Dawn screamed at the same time.

"YES!" Chris and Scott exclaimed in unison.

The villainous dirt farmer flexed his body, now free of the injuries he has sustained in Revenge of the Island, yet covered in scars. Most of them were completely healed while a few still had a red tinge to them.

"With no Fang around, no one will be able to stop me!" He cackled maniacally and forced himself in front of the teenagers.

"Great! Now that we have the entire cast present, we can get on with the show!"

Chris signed at the campers to follow him. Most of them stuck to their respective season cast mates, with the exception being Sammy, who hung around Bridgette, Sugar, who trailed behind Justin, and Scott, who was leading the pack.

"As you may recall-" Chris started talking while looking at the camera, moreso addressing viewers rather than campers. "The confessionals are an essential part of our show. This lovely place," A picture of an old outhouse with flies circling it appeared on the screen. "Is going to be a shelter meant to secure your deepest, darkest thoughts. Don't forget to add some spice to them though! We want the audience to be entertained!''

"We know how this works already!" snapped Courtney who was walking on her own without any other camper daring to get close to her.
Only Scott looked at her with something near admiration in his eyes.

Confessional: Courtney
"Does Chris think we're a bunch of fools?"

Confessional: Scott
The boy swayed from side to side on the toilet.

"Chicks like scars, no?" he tried to sound nonchalant but came off as nervous.

He lost his balance and fell to the right, hitting his head on the wall.

Confessional: Lindsay

"Why did I give Gina that flower crown?" she smiled and rested her palms on her crossed legs.
For a moment, however, her face turned serious as she leaned towards the camera.
"Not to be mean... But she looked dead."

"Sheesh! No need to be impatient!" Chris scolded Courtney. "Look, I was going to give you twenty minutes to unpack and settle in, but since Miss I-was-a-C.I.T. is so butthurt, I'm just going to move on to the challenge!"

A bunch of furious glares was sent Courtney's way. She tried to look unfazed but it was clear from her worried frown that anxiety got to her.

Confessional: Chris
"No, I wasn't going to give them free time anyway. It's just so fun to see how they all ganged up on her!" he explained in a cheerful tone.

The shot changed to all of the twenty contestants standing in front of a red line which was painted on the dry grass behind the beach. They were spread from left to right starting with Dakota, Beardo, Noah, Gwen, Sugar, Scott, Justin, Bridgette, Sky, Duncan, Topher, Lindsay, Zoey, Sammy, Jo, Ezekiel, Courtney, Dawn, Cameron and ending with Rodney, respectively.

"Here's how's it gonna go; after I give you a signal, you're gonna race each other to the top of that cliff," Chris pointed to the mountain behind him, which the cameras dramatically zoomed on, accompanied by the sounds of lightning.

Lindsay, Beardo, Sammy, Bridgette, Noah, Dakota, Justin, Gwen, Cameron and Ezekiel looked petrified, Duncan, Jo, Sky, Courtney and Scott were determined, while Rodney, Topher and Sugar didn't seem to be fazed at all.

Chris moved to the side and pulled an air horn from his pants pocket. He grinned and raised the object high.

"On my mark!"

Jo and Sky went into the starter sprinter position. Scott tried to copy them but his leg placement was off.

"Three..."

Noah yawned and stretched lazily.

"Two..."

Gwen involuntarily glanced at Courtney who bared her teeth at the goth girl.

"One..."

Cameron took his chances and hopped on Rodney's back, counting on the possibility that the red-headed giant wouldn't notice him.

"GO!"

A lot of things happened at once. Due to his incorrect stance, Scott slammed his jaw into the dirt, Sky and Jo sprung to their feet, leaving the competition behind and Dakota roared like a beast, her stomach muscles visible through the pink shirt, and ran after the two sportswomen.

Confessional: Dakota

The tall girl was blushing and twiddling her thumbs.

"It looks like my Dakotazoid instincts can still kick in from time to time..."

The rest of the group started moving at their own pace, Noah, Lindsay and Beardo being the slowest.

"I'm gonna meet you there!" Chris yelled after the campers. "Now, where's my jetpack?"

Soon, the stamina levels of teenagers divided them into smaller groups.

After they disappeared from Chris's sight, Justin and Sugar slowed down and started walking.

"Look, I know it's soon, but I think we coulda form an alliance!" Sugar began, after making sure that none of the others were close enough to hear her. "We're clearly the most attractive people here, plus, if you didn't watch Pakithew, I scored super high! So, whaddya say?"

Justin pretended to ponder on the idea for a moment.

"Your arguments do make sense..." he finally admitted. "Okay, let's do it."

The pair shook hands. Unbeknownst to Sugar, Justin's kind smile quickly turned sinister when she wasn't looking.

Meanwhile, Bridgette and Sammy kept a steady pace, being somewhere in between the competitors.

"...and that's why Chris and Topher call me that name." Sammy finished her explanation.
Bridgette nodded, listening eagerly.

"So, in a way, you joined this season to show that you're independent of your sister's influence?"

"I guess you could say that... Why did you come back then?"

"Besides the fact that I was legally bound to it?" The girls laughed. "Well, my reasoning is almost the same as yours."

"You have an evil twin sister too?!" Sammy gasped.

Bridgette shook her head and waved her arms in an 'x' motion.

"Nonono- I just meant that I'm also trying to be more independent. From my boyfriend, that is."

"Oh."

"It's not like I don't like him- I love him! But the last time we competed together we got the first boot. And then all the Alejandro drama..." Bridgette scrunched her face with disgust. "I decided to try and win the season without any boys distracting me."

"But you still like Justin, right?" the cheerleader smirked.

"Oh yeah, he's gorgeous."

Both of the blondes giggled.

"Talking about me, ladies?"

Topher passed the girls and started running back to face them.

"Just wanted to give you friendly advice - as two most boring contestants of the season you should try harder and get to the cliff faster!"

Bridgette and Sammy exchanged unamused looks. Sammy peered at the ground in front of the arrogant boy and then focused on him again.

"Thanks! You could use the same advice!" she pointed out.

"What?"

Topher tripped over a big rock and fell to the ground as the two girls passed him.

At the same time, at the top of the cliff, sat Chris. His jetpack was tossed to the side. The man was looking impatiently at his watch.

"If they don't show up in the next five minutes I swear to God-" he then noticed that the cameras were rolling. "Hey guys, what would you think about a TV show in which the host kills- I mean, eliminates contestants one by one?"

The screen shook from side to side frantically.

"Hmpf, I guess we'll put that idea on the back burner. Oh! I think someone's coming!"

Three figures came into view. Sky and Jo were going head to head, sweat visible on their foreheads. Behind them ran Dakota whose eyes glowed red and she was screaming in the deeper Dakotazoid voice. After a moment she surpassed Jo and almost got to Sky but the black-haired girl reached the finish line before that happened.

"Sky! You're on Team X! Stand on the right." Chris ordered.

"Wait! I was first so doesn't that mean I get immunity or something?" the girl questioned, her brows furrowed.

"No-pe! Truth be told, this wasn't even the challenge!"

"What?!" Jo screamed, furious. "Are you kidding me?!"

"Jo, join Sky on Team X," Chris ignored the girl's outburst. "And Dakota, you stay on the left, you're the first member of Team Y."

Dakota did as he said, slowly coming back to her senses.

The next person to arrive was Rodney; still carrying Cameron on his back.

"Rodney, go Dakota. Cameron, you're with Sky and Jo."

"Huh? Cameron's here?" Rodney made a quick circle but didn't see the geek.

Cameron quickly get off of him and tapped him on the arm.

"Ah! There you are, little guy!" Rodney grinned from ear to ear. "Where did you come from?"

"Maybe the universe sent him here." a creepy voice came out of the bushes nearby. "Just like it did for me."

Dawn came out of the shrubs and went to stand next to Team Y.

In the meantime, the Infamous Love Triangle was running nearby each other at the bottom of the cliff. Duncan was leading the pack, with Courtney a few metres behind him and Gwen, still wearing the flower crown, dragging herself along at the end.

Gwen looked at Courtney's back and bit her lip. She picked up the pace to catch up with the brunette.

"So, uh... Courtney!" the goth started. "Hey. Um, about Duncan and I-"

"Yeah. You broke up. As you should." Courtney spat and started running faster, passing Duncan.

Gwen sighed and followed her suit.

Courtney arrived first, placing herself on Team X. Duncan was informed that he was the next member of Team Y and Gwen joined Team X as well. Courtney narrowed her eyes.

Confessional: Courtney
"I can't believe she's trying to make small talk with me after everything she has done to me!" Courtney shouted, her arms resting on her hips. "Gwen is SO going down the first time our team loses."

Duncan noticed Courtney's demeanour and addressed Gwen.

"Kick her ass, Pasty!"

The goth girl made a panicked face. Courtney just snorted and turned in the opposite direction.

Two silhouettes appeared on the horizon. Sammy and Bridgette were jogging together.

"Look! We're not last!" Bridgette happily exclaimed.

"Yeah, we did pretty good!" added Sammy, when she crossed the finish line.

"But you weren't first either." Chris interrupted their celebration. "Samey, you're on Team Y, Bridgette, Team X awaits you."

The girls' smiles disappeared from their faces. They looked at each other and shared a quick hug.

"Good luck Sammy," Bridgette said sadly and walked away.

Sammy sighed, unhappy that from now on, she would only see her new friend during challenges. The cheerleader avoided coming in between Gwen and Courtney, opting to stand next to the Ex-Model.

"I made it, yeah!" yelled Scott, once he arrived and stopped in front of Chris.

"Congratulations! You did the bare minimum." Chris rolled his eyes. "You're on Team Y."

After that, another batch of contestants reached the top of the cliff in a short amount of time. Lindsay was directed to Team X, Topher now belonged to Team Y, and Noah got on Team X.

After that, another pair showed up. Zoey clarified that Ezekiel got lost and she used most of the time that it took to get to the finish line to help the homeschooled boy out. She got on Team Y, he ended up on Team X.

Justin and Sugar made it sometime later, still acting as if the race was a simple walk. The handsome camper quickened his step just slightly, just in case if they were last, he would still surpass Sugar. His plan worked; Sugar didn't notice anything odd about the situation. However, before she reached the finish line, she was shoved to the side by no other than Beardo who rushed towards the top.

He let out a triumphant sound, jumping up and down.

"Oh no ya don't!" Sugar launched herself at the boy and plummeted her hands into his hair. She tagged on it mercilessly until she stopped rapidly. She pulled out a strip of bacon out of the afro.

Everyone except her and Beardo let out a loud "EWWWWW!". The blonde smelled the piece of meat and threw it into her mouth. It made a crunchy sound. Gwen, Sammy and Cameron had to cover their lips to not throw up.

"You're off da hook for now." Sugar let go of Beardo and wandered off to Justin on Team Y.

The handsome boy looked at her in bewilderment.

"Now that this barf-fest is over, I can announce the names of your respective teams," Chris said as he was standing between the two groups. "Team X... you're now... Creative Cats!"

Lindsay clapped her hands.

"Aww, that's so cute!" she squeaked.

"What the hell, Chris?" Jo growled, unhappy with the host's choice. "This team is even a bigger joke than it has been so far!"

"Yeah!" Courtney, Sugar and Noah agreed.

"Okay, okay!" Chris tried to calm them down, clearly unhappy that his idea got rejected. "Then how about..."

His eyes lingered on Lindsay. The Blonde Bombshell was staring into space thoughtlessly. A fly flew into her head through one ear and exited through the other.

"Confused Cats it is!" He decided, pleased with himself.

Jo facepalmed.

"That's even worse!"

"A-a!" Chris waved his finger in a 'no' motion. "You get only one change. Besides, I already have an idea for the other team!"

Team Y all wore an uneasy expressions.

"You were supposed to be called Brave Beavers but now I think that Brave Bears will suit you the most!"

Brave Bears sighed in relief.

"Aw, come on!" Jo groaned.

"You get it, right? Cuz, you know... Confused Bears, Pakithew Island..." Chris trailed off.

Topher started laughing hysterically.

"That's hilarious, Chris!" he complimented the host.

Chris dropped his excited expression.

"Whatever. Now that we have that figured out, we can actually begin the first challenge!"

"Finally." Scott scoffed.

"And it does involve jumping off the cliff. Surprised?"

"WHAT?!" the entire cast gasped.

"That's just how we roll on Total! Drama! Glory!" Chris winked at the camera and the screen turned black.

Confused Cats: Sky, Jo, Cameron, Courtney, Gwen, Bridgette, Lindsay, Noah, Ezekiel, Beardo

This is my first time writing on this site and anything TD related. I hope that you can forgive me if I make some mistakes relating to that. I do appreciate advice from all the users!

Here are some pieces of info that would be helpful to know while reading:

- this fic will contain both canon and crack pairings

- my first language is not English

- I have no strong feelings towards any of the ships so I will not be playing favorites; breaking Gwuncan up wasn't done in malice, they just didn't fit the plot of this story

- there will be lgbtq+ themes introduced, as I am a bisexual female who would like to see more representation in fictional media

I want to finish this story in the span of three months so please treat this story as a light, summer themed read.

I hope I'll see you all in the next chapter!
