Hi, Storm here. So this is both late and unedited, sorry. It's late because Week 5 will be at the end of the week (Sunday) because it will be a gift for Kaveh's birthday. Yes, this means more Haikaveh for you fiends. The reason it's unedited is that once again Cradled in Golden Wings grabbed us and Faerie is a potato that can't edit more than one thing a week. Anyway, she might edit it later or might not. Let me know if you don't mind unedited work if y'all don't mind it I might post more.
As a note this takes place post Tracing Starlit Memories, But shouldn't spoil anything and can be read as a standalone fic.
The day had started like any other for Kaeya, Crystal had smacked him for daring to exist while she wound herself around Albedo's legs looking for affection. The cat while sweet to the alchemist, was an absolute bitch to everyone else. Klee was the only person she didn't outright smack for simply looking at her, but a large part of that probably came from the fact that Albedo would not hesitate to get rid of her if she did. That being said, Crystal made her displeasure at Klee's existence well-known in other ways. Her favorite, being ripping apart any of the little knight's plush toys she got her paws on in front, of the child if she could.
If the cavalry captain had his way they would get rid of the damn thing, but Albedo had a soft spot for her and spoiled the cat whenever he could. And despite her continued acts of terror directed at Klee, the girl still adored the cat, always trying to pet her or play with her. So he was stuck with the menace of a feline living in his house and terrorizing him on a daily basis, but it was a small price to pay when it came to having his partner and his little sister around.
Fortunately, today he and Klee had plans outside of the house, so he would get to avoid the demon cat most of the day. Speaking of which the captain scooped up the small girl as she raced past him, making a beeline for the white and orange cat who was still winding around Albedo's ankles. "Morning there Klee-bee," Kaeya said as he nuzzled her cheek. "Ready for our adventure today?"
The elf child didn't reply, instead giggling as she snuggled into Khaeri'ahn's arms, making him smile softly.
As much as he missed his friends in Liyue, moments like this made coming back to Mond worth it. Having his big brother back didn't hurt either, they had gone through hell and made it back despite, the mess that had been his impromptu trip to Liyue. Kaeya's smile only grew as Albedo stretched up pressing a kiss to his cheek, after the taller man dipped down just to allow the move.
"Be careful you two," the blond said as he kissed Klee's cheek as well. "Don't get caught, I can't cover for you if you do."
Kaeya chuckled softly pulling Albedo against him, nuzzling those blond locks he loved so dearly, "Easy Bedo, we aren't going to do anything that will get us in trouble with Jean. Just take out a few camps and the slimes near the Winery, we'll be back before lunch Nightingale."

A few hours had passed and Kaeya found himself chasing Klee across the rolling hills of Mondstadt. The little girl giggled and laughed as he chased her, always making sure to stay just behind her. Until suddenly the elf stopped something catching her attention in a nearby bush. Oh, that probably wasn't good, Klee focused on anything meant something was going get blown up.
Slowly the captain approached the bush and was surprised to find a small black puppy with tan markings. "Oh, hello little one," he murmured reaching out to pick up the pup. "What are you doing here hun?" Getting up Kaeya pulled the puppy close, "come on Klee we can take him to Diluc."
"Okay big brother Kaeya," Klee said excitedly. "Can we get grape juice?"
The Khaeri'ahn chuckled, "I'm sure Diluc would love to share his favorite grape juice with his favorite Klee-Deebug." And it was true, Diluc adored the little girl often bringing her treats made by Adelinde or, on rare occasions himself during their weekly dinners and if he had a shift at Angel's Share.
The pair of knights made their way to Dawn Winery taking out the group of slimes nearby as they did so. Kaeya of course, didn't bother knocking on the door, instead just walking through the door of his childhood home. Much to the amusement of the head maid, who just rolled her eyes when she spotted the pair of knights in the sitting room, the small puppy sitting in Klee's lap before bringing the little girl a snack and a bowl of water for the pup.
"Have you named your new friend Master Kaeya," Adelinde asked as she handed Kaeya a glass of apple juice, rather than the grape juice she gave Klee.
Kaeya glanced over at the puppy who was playing as Klee ate her snack. He had rather large paws for his size. "I figured we'd let 'Luc name him since we can't keep him at our place. Crystal would hate him," he murmured picking the dog up and settling him in his lap.
There was a creaking as someone made their way down the stairs. "Let me name what," came the smooth voice of the master of the Winery. His crimson gaze softened when he saw Klee sitting beside the cavalry before narrowing as he took note of the puppy in his little brother's lap. "Is that…is that a dog Kaeya," he asked hesitating for a moment.
For a moment, a smirk played on the younger of the Ragnvindr brother's lips before he answered honestly. "Yes, Albedo would kill me if I brought him home. And I know you asked for a puppy when we were kids…" the blue-haired man rambled his anxiety getting the better of him in the moment. "And Klee likes him… "
"Kaeya," Diluc said, cutting his little brother off as he walked over to the couch. "Relax Blueberry, of course I'll keep him." As he spoke the redhead scooped the puppy out of the Captain's lap pressing on kiss to the top of his head as he did so. "Now scoot over little brother, you're in my spot."
Naturally, Kaeya did as his older brother asked plopping Klee in his lap as the redhead took the now vacant space Kaeya abandoned. "Klee found him in a bush," she said excitedly, petting the puppy in Diluc's lap. He looks like the picture of a lion big brother Albedo showed me."
Diluc laughed at the little girl ruffling her hair. "How about we name him Leon then since he looks like a little lion," he asked.
"Okay big brother Diluc, Klee likes that name," the blonde girl replied, yawning
Before Diluc could say anything, Kaeya spoke up, "how about you and Leon go take a nap in my old room, and when you wake up we can chase the crystal flies in the vineyards?" It was a testament to how tired the elf was that she didn't argue, instead nodding and snuggling into his arms. "Come on Sparkbug, 'Luc and I will tuck you both in," he said standing up to make his way up the stairs not even waiting for Diluc.
