Hi, it's me again with another story, this time one that doesn't have Pokemon as the main target, but a multi crossover with an OC being the main character. It's something new for me, so I hope you like it, I promise to do my best to deliver an interesting story.
NOTE: English is not my native language, so I ask for your understanding if you find any writing errors. Everything I do is previously written in Portuguese, to be translated into English later.
Anyway, I hope you like it, and enjoy the first chapter.
London, the capital of England and considered the 'city of opportunities'. But for those who live in the less fortunate part of town perpetually shrouded in a toxic haze from endless industries, this town is nothing more than a small piece of hell on earth.
It didn't help that rumors began to emerge of an alleged serial killer preying on prostitutes in back alleys, this would not be surprising if true, London has a natural talent for attracting the most troubled minds.
But our story isn't about a serial killer (at least not at the moment), it's about a young aspiring detective who was searching for his father's whereabouts. Jack Henderson is the son of renowned detective Joshua Henderson, and for years followed in his father's footsteps in an attempt to be able to follow the family legacy, however, in an investigation that Joshua decided to do alone, what Jack feared most happened, his father it disappeared.
Jack never knew his mother, who died the moment he was born, and now without his father, his entire family was gone. He was never the most sociable of boys, and his gruff personality didn't help him make any friends.
In summary, Jack is a rookie detective who doesn't have the friendliest personality in the world.
In the dark and misty London night, Jack walked into an alley in the industrial district, he wears a gray overcoat with a black suit lined underneath. Neck-length black hair and a pair of icy blue eyes frame the rookie detective's hauntingly handsome face. His body is of average height for a 17-year-old, but with a good physique, thanks to the boxing classes his father forced him to attend.
Jack stopped walking when he reached a shed and squinted at the sight of boot prints in the slightly muddy ground. He knelt down and began to survey the place. "Double footprint marks, one large, one considerably smaller. The footprint is very recent, probably a woman's, considering the type of footwear chosen. Single pair of footprints, which suggests a single person at the site, but I must continue to be careful as there may be other people hiding." Jack stood up and looked at the shed door with signs of breaking in.
Taking a deep breath, he slipped through the door, doing his best to avoid making any noise, and walked cautiously into what must have been a raw material warehouse for the clothing factory that adjoins the shed.
Dirt, cobwebs and dust, the perfect recipe for a typical industrial shed, that's what Jack found as he walked cautiously through the countless piles of boxes piled up without the slightest care. He kept walking for a while, but stopped when he smelled a strong smell of iron behind a pile of boxes. Slowly he made his way down the narrow path between the piles of boxes, and became alert with what he saw.
Blood everywhere, with the body of an old man disfigured.
"My god, what happened here?" Jack whispered and cautiously approached the victim, avoiding damage to the crime scene as much as possible. From his suit pocket, he produced a pair of leather gloves, and slipped them on before grabbing a magnifying glass and starting to study the body.
"Irregular cut marks across the upper body, highlighted on the arms. The face only has cuts on the sides, which suggests that the victim was able to identify the attacker and tried to defend himself, probably raising his hands to protect his face by instinct. Slightly rounded puncture marks on the abdomen, suggesting the use of a firearm as the killer's weapon." Jack stared into the hapless victim's open eyes and closed them with his finger, offering a quick prayer for the unfortunate soul. However, when he was about to leave to report the murder to some police, he noticed that the floor had marks of drops of blood, which means only one thing.
The killer could be at the crime scene.
His father taught him that sometimes a detective will be required to defend himself against criminals who seek to eliminate any witnesses or investigators who are following the trail of criminal acts.
"Okay, let's get this over with." Jack followed the bloodstains with slow steps, and not long after, he began to see a shadow. Intrigued, he continued on his way, but what he saw next would permanently shake his belief in what really is real.
A man covered in blood stood looking at the wall. That was reason enough for Jack to go on high alert, but then the man began to squirm at impossible angles.
From the once human body, a monster emerged, literally a monster worthy of fables or science fiction books was staring at him. The creature was composed of a mass of fabric that resembles a metal alloy full of holes, with a scary face perpetually emblazoned with a sickly smile, and it defied all laws of physics, floating around the shed as if it owned the place.
"What the fuck is this?!" Jack screamed, shocked by what he saw, and it was the biggest mistake of his life up to that point. The creature quickly located it, and a purple light began to be emitted from the holes, which rapidly increased in intensity. Fearing for his life, Jack made the only logical choice for the situation.
"Fuck that shit!" He ran for his life, and at the same moment several shots came out of the creature's orifices, destroying the shed. The creature started chasing Jack, who ran through the alleys that didn't contain a single living soul, still not believing what was happening.
"God, or any supposedly powerful entity...if you exist up there...please help me..." Jack screamed as he ran from the monster, and apparently it was his lucky day, as he found another open shed. and immediately ran into it, locking the door through which he had just entered.
The muffled sounds of gunfire echoed outside the shed, and Jack put his hands on his knees, panting and sweating. All his life he'd investigated criminals, some of the worst kind, but at the end of the day they were still human.
However, this creature, this is something completely new.
"What the hell just happened? My dad came to investigate a murder, and THIS shows up at the scene? Did…did he find this monster?" Jack asked himself, but stopped his reverie when he saw a glimmer of light in the dark shed. Swallowing hard, he made his way to the source of the light, and let out a relieved sigh when he saw that it was just an old book. He approached and became alert as he saw that light was emitting from the book, and it was getting stronger with every step he took to get closer.
Against everything he'd learned over the years, Jack swallowed and prepared to make the most reckless choice of his life. "Okay, there's a monster trying to kill me and a book glowing like a lamp, if I'm going to die, I'd rather it be my own foolishness rather than a victim of that horrible creature!" Jack took the book in his hands, and in that moment everything went crazy.
The light became even stronger, and Jack began to hear thousands of voices in his head, talking in an unknown language.
"AHHHHHHHHHH!" He screamed in pain, and the voices grew louder and louder, until a single voice began to speak, this time in English.
Human, you dared to touch the relic of absolute knowledge.
Many before you have tried, and none of them have withstood the voices of the ancients who inhabit the stars, yet you still retain your sanity.
Many of my children have avatars ready to roam the earth, performing actions on their behalf, but I don't need a simple avatar.
Mortal, hear what I say, I, who am wrongly known as the blind and foolish God, behold the world created from my eternal dream, and for the first time meet a creature worthy of interest.
The relic of knowledge has chosen you, know that this is both a blessing and a curse. Use it wisely, and know that the Grand Sultan is watching you.
When the strange voice stopped speaking, Jack lost what consciousness he had left and fell into Morpheus' arms, unaware that his life would change permanently, simply by being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Lenalee was worried. It was supposed to be just another simple mission, and it was even assured by the Black Order intelligence team that there were no civilians at risk in the place where the akuma was attacking.
So why did the place that was once the cluster of sheds become a small battlefield?
Initially it was supposed to be a mission of at least two exorcists, but Kanda Yu refused, stating that she was too easy prey for him to handle, leaving her alone against an aggressive akuma.
Even if it's just a low-level akuma, it doesn't warrant your friend's disdain.
Lenalee is a 16-year-old Chinese girl, with green hair tied in two braids on the sides of her face, wearing the standard female uniform of the European Black Order, the branch of the Vatican assigned to stop akuma attacks and recover shards of innocence.
She was following the trail of destruction when she heard a man's scream, and quickly ran towards the sound, however, when she arrived at a shed, her Innocence reacted strangely, starting to blink at her feet, activating and deactivating numerous times, until it disabled completely.
"What the..." Lenalee whispered, but didn't let the strange event shake her and entered said shed.
The akuma's sounds were getting louder, which signaled that he was approaching, putting the exorcist on high alert for any possible ambush. After walking a little inside the shed, Lenalee found a teenager unconscious on the floor with a book in his hand.
She ran towards the unconscious boy and knelt down. "Hey! Are you well?" Lenalee said worriedly, and at that moment the akuma destroyed one of the walls of the shed, attracted by the exorcist's innocence and the strange energy emanating from the unknown man.
The akuma prepared to attack, and Lenalee was cornered, because if he tried to protect the boy, he would get hurt, and if he ran away, he would die.
And at that moment, the akuma made a real monster wake up for the first time.
OST – London Bridge is Falling Down – Dezzaired
Jack stood up, feeling awkward, but not in a bad way. When he got to his feet, he saw that a beautiful young woman with Asian features was beside him, but that is not important, because the hideous creature that dares to try to kill him is in front of him, with that mocking smile on his face.
With a guttural growl, Jack began to slowly approach the akuma. "Filthy creature, do you dare attack the one who touched infinity? I will make you regret such foolishness forever." Jack spoke in a calm tone, but his voice made Lenalee aware that something was terribly wrong.
London, August 31, 1888, Friday. This is the date Lenalee met the most intriguing man in her life, someone who was unconscious, and suddenly stands up and looks at the akuma without a hint of fear or hesitation.
But he's still an ordinary human, and facing an akuma is suicide. She put her hand on the man's shoulder and squeezed hard. Jack turned and the gleam in those ice-blue eyes made her swallow hard before she spoke. "Y...sir, don't attack that creature, it only takes one attack from it for you to die in a horrible way, so..." Lenalee was forced to stop talking with what the man did next.
He gently took her hand and placed his other hand on the exorcist's face with a beautiful and scary smile at the same time. "My fair lady, I appreciate the concern, but it is unfounded, I would not be considered a gentleman if I let a lady fight my battles, so please let me clean up the mess." Jack let go of the exorcist and turned to the akuma, who apparently got tired of waiting and started activating his weapons for one more shot.
Jack opened the book that left him unconscious, which started to glow in a black tone, and the pages started to shake randomly. With a steely gaze, Jack began to read what was written on the page he stopped after opening the book. "I, who wield the relic of knowledge, ask for the tool to deal with this unholy creature who defies the laws of life and death!" The book glowed even brighter, and disappeared, giving way to a serrated dagger that emanated black energy. Jack took the dagger and his body was enveloped in the same energy.
He prepared to attack and let out a sigh shrouded in black mist before delivering a single attack on the creature. It initially seemed ineffective, but Lenalee's eyes widened as she saw the Akuma split in two with a single strike. The akuma exploded into a ball of white energy, leaving only a few pieces on the ground that began to disintegrate.
Jack twirled the gun between his fingers before tucking the dagger into his suit pocket and still with his back to the exorcist, clapped his hands in a mocking smile. "And so the unholy creature knows its fate." He turned around and placed a hand on his chest before bowing slightly. "Would I be honored to know the name of the fair lady who came to my rescue? My name is Jack Henderson, but in the form I find myself in, a different name would be appropriate, so call me Ripper." Lenalee blushed at the man now known as Jack calling her a fair lady again. She's not used to this kind of interaction, mainly due to the fact that her brother would skin any boy who tried to flirt with her alive.
"L…Lenalee Lee is my name." Jack took her hand and kissed it, making the Asian exorcist's face heat up even more. "Lenalee, a beautiful name for a beautiful young woman, enchanted. As pleasant as our encounter was, I fear I will have to let my dominant counterpart take over, please forgive any rudeness that comes from my lips, I am not an easy man to deal with." Lenalee tilted her head to the side, not understanding what Jack meant, but she felt something change in him, almost as if someone else had taken over the body.
End of OST
Jack brought a hand to his head and moaned in pain. "Damn, did I get hit by a train?" He leaned against the wall and closed his eyes against the pain in his head.
"Jack, are you hurt?" Lenalee got worried and walked over to him, but she stopped when she saw his eyes open. Jack looked at her like she was crazy and started talking in an altered tone.
"Girl, by all that is holy, are you crazy?! Walking in the London night in a warehouse complex when there are rumors of a serial killer who ironically seeks to prey on women? DO YOU HAVE A DEATH WISH?!" The exorcist backed away from the scream and didn't understand what the hell was going on. At one point Jack was a courteous man strong enough to defeat an akuma single-handedly, and now he was acting like a grumpy idiot.
"Calm down, don't you remember what just happened?" Upon hearing what Lenalee said, Jack felt a headache again and memories came to his mind, of how he was investigating the place, the encounter with the monster, the appearance of Lenalee and how he defeated the creature in a single blow. , and most importantly, the flirtation he shamelessly made with the girl before him.
His face flushed with embarrassment and Jack scratched the back of his head. "Look, I'm sorry, it's just…it all happened so fast, I don't know what possessed me to face that monster, and…sorry for flirting so blatantly." Lenalee waved her hand, still embarrassed but feeling more at ease with the man she just met.
"Don't worry, I admit it was something new for me, in the Black Order no one spoke to me like that and..." Her eyes widened as she realized what she had done, and what she was seeing behind Jack.
The detective was intrigued by the change in mood. "Hey, are you okay?" Lenalee didn't say anything, just watched a person approach and when she recognized who she was, she screamed to stop a tragedy from happening.
"Kanda, no!..." Jack wondered what a 'Kanda' was, but soon his thoughts ended when he lost consciousness.
Was this becoming fashionable? Twice in one night, and he never even came home.
From the shadows, a man with Asian features, long hair, wearing the Black Order uniform and with a sheathed katana raised where he had just slammed into the back of Jack's head, glared at his victim with disdain.
"What a disappointment, I expected some reaction from someone who landed such a precise blow on the akuma." He then looked at his fellow exorcist and shook his head in denial.
"Stop instantly trusting anyone you meet, he could be an akuma in disguise and kill you, you're not a rookie Lenalee, don't do anything stupid." Kanda picked up Jack's body and slung it over his shoulders like a sack of potatoes.
Lenalee flinched from her friend's drill, but was curious as to why Kanda picked up a complete stranger and carried him on her shoulders. "Kanda, what are you doing with Jack?" Kanda didn't bother to look at her colleague, and started to walk out of the shed.
"It is not obvious? I will take you to the Black Order, this man has seen too much, and may be a user of innocence...and I will include in the report that he flirted with you." Kanda didn't need to look at the Chinese girl to show a small smile, which she quickly hid, knowing what was going to happen.
Lenalee looked on in pure horror and feared for her new friend's life, after all, Kamui Lee is the Black Order's greatest siscon. "N…no! Please, my brother will kill Jack!" The plea for mercy fell on deaf ears, and the pair of exorcists along with an unexpected escort marched to the Black Order's European headquarters.
The first thing Jack saw when he opened his eyes was the white ceiling, his mind was confused, but it didn't take long for the memories of previous events to reveal themselves. He always considered himself someone who was skeptical of the supernatural part of the world, but this was real, monsters were real, and one of them almost killed him, if not for that book that gave him the strange dagger.
It was clear that the book had caused something to change within him, the dark energy, the previously non-existent ability to wield the blade, and most importantly the change in personality, acting like a philanderer around a girl that had just happened.
The thought of Lenalee made his eyes widen, is she still in that shed? He needs to do something before tragedy strikes! Jack tried to get up, but was surprised by something holding him back.
Slowly he looked down at the body and saw that it was chained to a bed, with both arms and legs bound in thick iron chains. His suit was replaced by clothes normally used in hospitals, in short, he is trapped in some kind of hospital, or madhouse, considering the chains. His daydreams were interrupted by an unfamiliar voice.
"I see you finally woke up." A man with Asian features was sitting in a chair, a cup of coffee in his hand. Long hair, the same color as Lenalee's, with a white beret on her head and glasses on her face. The outfit is that of someone belonging to some military rank, consisting of a light blue turtleneck sweater, white pants, a white coat full of gold trimmings, and something that surprised Jack, a pair of slippers instead of shoes.
"Where am I, and what do you want with me?" Jack said in a neutral tone. The man took a sip of coffee and placed the cup on a small table beside the chair, and after adjusting his glasses with one finger, he stared at Jack with a stone face.
"Jack Henderson, age 17. Son of Joshua Henderson, currently missing. Deceased mother. Junior detective since age 8, working alongside his father on several cases around London over the last few years. You've been found in the middle of a Black Order operation, and become the target of an akuma. One of our exorcists made direct contact, stating that her innocence had temporarily deactivated, and that you landed a single blow on the akuma, effectively killing him. Our technology division tried to investigate the weapon used, but we were unable to get close, which forced us to store it in a glass chamber. Jack, you are an interesting fellow, an anomaly like no other, and you are not an akuma, or our gate would have alerted the entire base immediately." The man got up and approached Jack, making him more and more tense.
"What the hell do you want from me, and where am I? It's not my fault that bizarre creature was where I was going to investigate, I'm just a detective!" He shouted, but it fell on deaf ears.
The uniformed man stopped in front of the still-chained Jack. "My name is Kamui Lee, chief director of the Black Order's European branch, the commander of this facility. Nothing happens that I don't know about, but I'm not here to talk about myself. Jack, I want to know something, and you're going to tell me." The man's dark tone sent shivers down Jack's spine, what was he going to ask for?
And right after that, Kamui pulled a strange weapon from his jacket pocket, a cross between a knife and a hammer. "WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE TO FLIRT WITH MY SWEET, INNOCENT SISTER?!"
"I DIDN'T FLIRT WITH ANYONE, YOU CRAZY!"
"DO NOT LIE TO ME, YOU MALICIOUS CREATURE! MY NOBLE AND FAITHFUL SUBORDINATE TOLD ME WHAT HAPPENED, YOU TRIED TO DRAIN MY LITTLE SISTER'S PURITY!"
Jack blinked twice and cocked his head to the side. "Is she your sister? But I didn't do any of that, I just introduced myself and kissed her hand, I admit I wasn't thinking straight, but I didn't do anything else." The atmosphere turned deadly serious, and Kamui opened and closed his mouth a few times before speaking again.
"You said it was just a kiss on the hand?" Jack nodded quickly, doing his best to escape this crazy man's wrath.
Then Kamui started laughing in a scary way, whispering the same word over and over again. "He kissed Lenalee's hand, he kissed Lenalee's hand, he kissed Lenalee...I WILL KILL YOU, YOU PERVERTED LITTLE DEMON!" Kamui lunged at Jack, and at that moment our protagonist's savior arrived, in the form of a certain exorcist, irritated by yet another of her overprotective brother's antics.
"Stop scaring Jack!" As if a button had been pressed, Kamui appeared in front of Lenalee and held the girl's hands with a silly smile on his face. "Of course Lenalee-chan, I was just defending your purity against that demon." Kamui pointed at Jack, who raised an eyebrow at the comment.
Let's ignore the fact that a Chinese man used a Japanese greeting, it's just another one of the oddities that make up Kamui Lee's personality.
But apparently Lenalee didn't like what she saw, and ran towards Jack. "Jack, what happened? My brother said you were recovering in a room, but you are chained to the bed!" Seeing a pretty girl worry so much about him was a nice thing to see, especially after his father disappeared in recent months.
Jack showed a small smile, something rare considering his personality. "It's not your fault, Miss Lee. Your brother was just worried about you, although you are a strange person to deal with." Lenalee sat up in bed and crossed her arms with a pout.
"Don't call me 'Miss Lee', I don't need someone acting that way towards me. But Jack, are you okay? We brought you to the Black Order more than 7 days ago, and no one would let me visit you." Lenalee was genuinely sad, and Jack didn't understand why she was so worried.
They barely know each other, why so much concern?
"Hey, don't think about it too much, but why visit me? We just met, and I'm not used to getting this kind of attention, especially from a pretty girl." Lenalee blushed at the comment, and Kamui snarled in rage as he watched the 'demon' corrupt his sweet little sister.
Lenalee started waving her hands wildly. "B…beautiful? I?" This time it was Jack who tilted his head to the side, not understanding her reaction.
"Why would you lie? Lenalee, my opinion may not be worth much, but you are absolutely the most beautiful girl I have ever met." Jack spoke his mind, without any sense of the impact he had on the girl next to him, and even though she blushed with embarrassment at the unexpected comment, Lenalee managed a beautiful smile.
Kamui Lee mentally cursed Jack's name, the Black Order employees who huddled behind the bedroom door were shocked by what they were hearing, and Kanda Yu was having lunch peacefully in the cafeteria, feeling that he had just taken revenge on the idiot director who acts like a child more times than he considers healthy.
The exorcist looked at Kamui, still smiling. "Brother, take off Jack-kun's chains, please." Kamui's world was destroyed at that moment. The cheerful smile, the flushed face, and her little sister called the demon 'Jack-kun'. The bastard got his filthy claws into Lenalee's pure and innocent heart!
Kamui walked slowly, mentally cursing Jack, released the chains that held him to the bed, and for some reason Jack sneezed. Lenalee placed a hand on Jack's face. "You are sick?" Jack shook his head, and scratched his head sheepishly.
"Lenalee, I don't want to bother you, but could you deliver my clothes? I'm only wearing hospital gown, and it doesn't hide much." The girl slowly lowered her gaze and her face turned red as a tomato at the sight of Jack's bare back... and his ass.
She watched for a few seconds before realizing what she was doing, running like crazy and dragging Kamui by the hands to look for Jack's clothes.
And our aspiring detective was completely confused by what had just happened.
Hell, the home of vile creatures who call themselves demons, where Lucifer and a third of heaven fell in rebellion against the Biblical God. A place forged based on strength and desires, where morality has no place in the face of a goal set by some creature.
The war between the Angels of Heaven, the Demons of Hell and the Fallen Angels of the Underworld has been going on for 300 years, several bloodlines of the original 72 pillars have been extinguished in a conflict that started with the intense hatred cultivated between the three forces of the Biblical faction . Conflicts that occur around the world, hidden from humanity to preserve the supernatural as a hidden face of the world, but which have consequences for countless people who are innocent.
Lucifer Morningstar is the leader of the demons, the one who dared to rebel against God and fell from Heaven's grace because of it, and the most feared enemy of angels and fallen angels along with his father. Lucifer is different from what is portrayed in human religious manuscripts. He is a man with the appearance of someone between 20 and 30 years old, with carefully combed white hair, a face without any imperfections, a pair of red eyes and wears a black suit with some details in gold color. He is in his office, a small room located in the huge castle built in the heart of hell, where he and Lilith have lived together since ancient times.
He was sitting in a leather armchair, reading a book by an unknown author when he heard someone knock on the door. "In between." He said in an emotionless tone of voice, but when he saw who the person who had just walked in, something happened that would make any demon in hell run for his life.
Lucifer smiled like an uncle meeting his favorite niece.
"Grace! Don't be shy, come in!" The poor woman never understood why Lucifer treats her so well, when everyone says he is 'the definition of a demon' or 'evil incarnate'. Grace Lucifuge is a demon of the Lucifuge house, and Lucifer's personal maid. A woman with long white hair perfectly combed and tied in a single ponytail, wearing a French maid's uniform, and with an appearance that would drive any human or other supernatural creature insane.
But for Lucifer, she is the only creature he can call a friend.
Grace closed the door slowly and bowed her head in respect to her master. "Lord Lucifer, forgive me for interrupting your duties, but Lady Lilith asked me to check if you want anything, as she hasn't seen you for two days." Lucifer choked on his own saliva upon hearing his wife's name, Lilith is adorable to him most of the time but when she's mad let's just say it's not Lucifer who wears the pants in this relationship.
"O...thanks Grace, tell my dear wife I'll be coming down to the dining room shortly." Grace nodded and headed towards the door, but stopped walking when she heard her master's voice.
"Wait, we haven't talked in several months, the other idiot Satans are still engaged in this pointless war, and I haven't had any time to relax. Tell me, is little Grayfia all right?" Grace's professional facade cracked, and she was saddened.
"Lord Lucifer, my daughter will fight on the front lines of this war." Lucifer's friendly demeanor disappeared, replaced by a neutral expression. "Grace, have a seat." He pointed to the chair on the other side of the table, and without question, the maid sat down.
Lucifer took a deep breath and looked at Grace in all seriousness. "What is happening?" Grace was conflicted about whether or not to tell her master the truth, but the Lucifuge family oath would not allow her to keep anything away from Lord Lucifer, and he always treated his family so well, he had no reason to really fear for anything.
"My little Grayfia has a talent for ice magic like no other demon in the underworld, as well as being well-versed in all areas of combat, which has attracted the attention of many demons. My husband recently passed away serving Lord Asmodeus, and now he wants my daughter to take my husband's place." An immense pressure descended on the underworld, the demons near Lucifer's castle panicked, believing they were under attack, only Grace was spared from the energy wave, showing the perfect control the original demon has over his powers.
Lucifer took a few deep breaths to calm himself down, and smiled at the poor woman in an attempt to calm her down. "Don't worry, I'll make sure Grayfia doesn't get involved in this war. From now on, she will serve as my personal maid, just as you have served me for so many years." Grace's eyes widened at what she just heard.
"Lord Lucifer! I do not deserve such kindness, and Lord Asmodeus will not take it lightly." Hell's ruling demon waved dismissively. "My word is law, so do not fear for your daughter's safety, as I will see to it." Grace blinked a few times and bowed, tears streaming down her face.
"Thank you Lord Lucifer, I will never forget your kindness!" Grace said thank you a few more times before leaving to tell her daughter about the news. Lucifer watched the woman leave the office, and when Grace closed the door, her smile disappeared.
A shroud of black energy enveloped Lucifer, and his eyes glowed in a hue reminiscent of blood. "How dare he! It's not enough that he sacrificed Jacques, now he wants poor Grayfia?! This damn war, taking so many lives for absolutely nothing, but it ends now, I won't allow it…" Lucifer felt an energy that made his eyes widen. He felt it only once, the moment he was born, before creation began, an ancient energy, coming from a creature that surpasses all others.
Someone capable of destroying everything with a snap of his fingers.
"This energy…impossible, it's coming from the human world, but how? The outer gods hardly interact with the mortal world, and this energy is unmistakable, it belongs to the ancient sultan! I…I need to talk to Father!" At that moment, the office door opened again, and a girl cautiously entered.
White hair tied in a ponytail, with a face without any imperfections having a pair of slightly gray eyes. She wears a one-piece, long-sleeved white dress with black and gold accents, ending in a skirt that extends to the upper half of her thighs. On her feet, a pair of black boots.
"L…Lord Lucifer, my mother told me that you want something from me." All of Lucifer's anger disappeared at the sight of the girl before him. Quickly, the gears began turning in the original demon's mind, and with a friendly smile, he spoke to his friend's daughter.
"Grayfia, we don't have time to talk, I will go to the human world and you will go with me!" Lucifer threw the bomb at the poor girl with a goofy grin on his face.
"Eh?" It was all she could say, not knowing what would await her, after all, she had never visited the human world, much less beside the ruler of hell.
Seventh Heaven, home of the Seraphim and the Biblical God, place of wonder for all angels and members of the Catholic Church, where the most powerful live to serve and protect the one who rules above the heavens.
The Biblical God is unknown to everyone, few were privileged to see his face, and even fewer were those who discovered his true name. For him, wars have been fought at various times throughout human history, and now a dark war is being fought between the three forces of the biblical faction.
Seated on a golden throne, a man of short stature could be seen commanding a strange device, with a screen showing engravings in a strange language. White hair, a childlike face and golden eyes, dressed in a white robe and with the stature of a child approaching adolescence. Any unsuspecting person who saw him would claim it was a child, but they couldn't be more wrong.
That tiny thing is the one that reigns in the heavens, a very different image of what many religionists believe to be real. But physical appearance has no bearing on his strength, still being one of the strongest creatures alive.
He was handling the famous 'sacred system' to correct any anomalies that started to emerge after the addition of the celestial dragons. It's been just over 200 years since the dragons were fought, and he misses that time, for it was the last time his children, those who remain in the heavens and those who fell, fought side by side.
War is meaningless, people die to defend ideals, when understanding can lead the world to a path where everyone could be happy without worrying about hate or bigotry. But nothing is that simple, many believe he is perfect, because he is 'God', but the truth is that he knows he made mistakes in the past, and the war is the consequence of that.
His daydreams were interrupted when something went off in the system, his eyes widened, that energy is not something he put into the system, it's something ancient, that he knows and knows is older than creation.
"The Sultan has chosen his champion…" His hands shook as he remembered the one whose name must not be spoken, a reminder that even he is not absolute, that there are creatures in the vast cosmos of immeasurable power.
But something caught my eye. "Hang on! This energy has a human trait, and it comes from Brittany, that land has a talent for attracting trouble. What do I do, what do I do?" He started tapping his tiny feet on the chair on the throne, drawing the attention of one of the seraphim who were pacing around the seventh heaven.
Long hair with pointed ears made it easy to identify who was the angel that approached his father, wearing golden armor and a bored face, Kokabiel saw in the distance another one of his father's antics, and a malicious smile appeared on his face.
"Yo Elohim! What are you and those tiny legs thinking about today?" Elohim, as the God was called, stopped his moment of epiphany and puffed out his cheeks, as a child would when provoked.
He disappeared from the throne and appeared before Kokabiel, punching the Star Angel in the chest. "Stop being so mean to me! Why can't you act like Michael? He always agrees with me! Or the lovely Gabriel, even with an airhead she is adorable." Kokabiel stuck his tongue out at his father and tried to pull away, but his eyebrow trembled when he saw the 'Almighty God' extending his small hands as if he were a child asking for his father's lap.
They both stared at each other for a few seconds, the other Seraphim saw it with amusement, even Uriel, who is usually the more 'serious' of the brothers, was showing a small smile.
And poor Michael was holding Gabriel before she ran towards her father to hug him (say, almost choke him to death). Many times Elohim nearly died, and not in glorious combat.
It was for Gabriel's infamous hugs.
Kokabiel sighed and took his father in his arms, placing him on top of his shoulders. Elohim suddenly had an idea, and gave a goofy smile. "Yee! Let's go to England, my big-eared son, I want to visit someone special." That caught the attention of everyone who could hear the father's voice. A few times in history has God given a human the opportunity to hear his voice, and come down to Earth in person to visit a human?
What is Elohim planning?
Kokabiel looked to his brothers for help, but everyone started ignoring him, even Gabriel turned around and started whistling ridiculously.
Traitors!
With a resigned sigh, Kokabiel snapped his fingers and a golden portal opened before him, and with his father on his shoulders, he descended to Earth.
After all, no one would be better suited to accompany Elohim than the Angel of the Stars.
Somewhere in the underworld, Azazel sneezed, looks like something hilarious just happened and he just lost it, shrugging his shoulders, he went back to the little experiment he was doing. Anything is better than hearing more news about this ridiculous war.
It wasn't just the biblical faction that felt the moment something unique happened. Around the world and beyond the cosmos, all who had the opportunity to live in the beginning of the universe felt the moment when the Sultan bestowed his blessing on a mortal. Out of all the Outer Gods, he is the most unpredictable, even than 'Chaos Incarnate'. For many regard him as the 'Blind and Foolish God', when he just sleeps and lets the gears turn to a fate he calls upon.
Something big is about to happen, something that will affect all of existence. Whether it's for good or ill is anyone's guess, as even those with the ability to see the future cannot determine the fate of the lucky, or unlucky, person who was bestowed with the Sultan's blessing.
The gears of fate began to turn, the uncertain future forwarded to a single point in the countless possible results of different actions, all converging on a single human, who was just an aspiring detective looking for his missing father.
Jack was accompanying Lenalee to the Black Order mess hall after resolving the misunderstanding. The Chinese girl was still blushing with embarrassment when she looked at him, remembering what had happened, not that Jack could really blame her. If the roles were reversed, he would be embarrassed too.
When they were about to reach the cafeteria, Jack stopped walking, feeling a shiver run down his spine. "What the…" He whispered, and Lenalee stopped walking, looking worriedly at her new friend, forgetting the embarrassment she felt until a few seconds ago.
"Jack, are you okay?" He shook his head and continued to walk.
"Don't worry, I was just lost in thought." Lenalee stared at him for a few more seconds, not quite convinced that what Jack said was the real truth, but she shrugged. If it was something really important, he would say it.
She ran briefly to catch up with the boy and they both made their way to the mess hall, unaware that they would soon be visited by powerful beings with a single interest in mind.
Meeting the anomaly that appeared one London night, the man who would become a legend, even if he wanted none of it. Jack Henderson had only wanted to be a detective, but now he was involved in events far greater than an ordinary human could ever dream of.
And so, the first chapter is finished. As you can see, it will be a multi crossover with DxD being the basis for the story. D Gray Man and DxD are set in the same universe in this story, as well as other works that will be included in the future.
Because these are events that are predecessors to DxD Cannon, I have the freedom to work with characters more flexibly, as you can see. A clear example is Kokabiel as an angel, not a fallen angel, this was planned, it's part of character development.
I don't know how long this story will be, and it's the first one I've written that isn't directly involved with Pokémon, so a lot of things are new to me. I hope you enjoyed the idea of this work, and that you follow me if you are interested.
See you soon with the second chapter.
