Wealth, Fame, Power...

Gol D. Roger discovered all of it in one place, an island known as Laugh Tale, the island at the very end of the New World and Grand Line. Where the treasure left behind by Joy Boy, known as the One Piece was located. Along with that, they discovered the meaning of the initial D. and the truth of the Void Century.

While that's the case in modern times, one of them may think, what was going on within Joy Boy's POV, since anyone can come up with a different conclusion. Let's dive in to the Void Century.

830 years ago, 70 years into the Void Century

A young boy were playing around in the garden, with his two older brothers. This was his usual Tuesday, without having to go around the kingdom and visit the others. Although, he would usually have friends that would come over to hang out with his older brothers.

"I'm Mason! And I'll be the one who'll sail across the entire world beyond our kingdom!"

"And we'll be right there with you! I'll be the captain of the crew since I'm the fastest one here!"

"But you also got the brains of a walnut!" James countered. "I bet you don't even know where the All Blue is."

"James, just because Nika isn't good at navigating doesn't mean he's a dumbass."

"Yeah James, I'm a genius when it comes to my imagination!"

Well that's a good point, both of them thought at the same time.

"So let me guess, Nika can be the captain, James could be the navigator, and I'll be the mentor!"

"How will that help, you're very powerful you need a better role than that!"

"No Nika, being a mentor is far more important than you think. Mentor is the one who'll be able to give trustful advises when the situation is dire."

Nika thought about James statement for a second, well he does have a point, even though Mason can be a jerk sometimes, he gives the best advices. He sighed in defeated, which was a signal to his older brothers that they were right.

"Well including the three of us, how many crew members, captain Nika?" Mason joked, which seemed to Nika that he was trying to tease him.

"Well mentor Mason, I would like 20 members in our crew!"

"ARE YOU NUTS!" The two brothers yelled, "THAT'S TOO MANY!"

"I don't think so, it seems just enough to me!"

"Nika? James? Mason?" A voice called, coming from sunroom of the castle.

"Uncle Peter?" Nika said, turning to his uncle, who was now entering the garden.

"Hey boys, your father wants to see you, he's a bit worried."

The three boys pouted, their play time will once again have to be cut short. Father was likely very worried about them running off again. They followed Uncle Peter into the palace.

"There you are boys! I've been worried about you all!" The king cried, standing up from his throne and heading towards the boys.

He was rather a tall man, standing 15'3 feet tall, a muscular man, with a tattoo on the left side of his face.

"Good afternoon dad!" The siblings greeted, bowing their heads to show respect to their father.

"You're majesty," Royal Advisor Peter called. "I get you're concern but it's clear the boys are strong in their own right."

"Peter," Uranus groaned. He's already frustrated that his closest friend was already siding with their children. "Don't agree with them already."

"Oh honey, you've got to give the elder brothers a chance to look after Nika. Their already close to adulthood," his wife sighed, shaking her head.

Queen Monkey D. Gaia - Consort of Uranus

"Gaia, they're 14 years old, that's not close to adulthood yet!" Uranus cried, which only made Gaia giggle.

Mason turned to Peter, "Uncle Peter?"

"Yes Mason?"

"Can train me on Haki later today?"

"Yes Mason, I'll teach you more about Haki later today. James come along."

"Hey what about me!?"

"Nika, you're 12, I think you're way too young to learn about Haki."

"Ah man..." Nika pouted, "But I wanna become a big strong warrior like my dad!"

"Your father is a strong warrior indeed, and one of you guys are going to be his successor as the king of this kingdom."

"Uncle Peter..." James and Mason murmured. "Let's go..."

"Coming," Peter said, waving goodbye to Nika. But don't worry Nika, I'll tell the brothers to teach you some Haki, I don't want your father to find out I'm teaching you it at this age.

Nika followed his mother down to the science lab. It was technologically advanced compared to labs in the modern day. "Wow!" Nika cried, "Mom, what have you discovered this time!"

"We've discovered a very interesting Devil Fruit in the garden last week. This one is very secretive."

"What is it called?"

"We've haven't discovered a name for it yet, but it's a rather unique Devil Fruit."

"Wow!"

"Still remember the three types of Devil Fruits Nika?"

"Yes Logia, uhhhhh Zoan, and uh..." Nika stopped to think, there was a third one. "It started with an F?"

"No silly, it started with a P, Paramecia. That's the third type."

"Dang it, I forgot about that. But the rarest Devil Fruits is Mythical Zoans!"

"Correct, but even this Devil Fruit is unique amongst Mythical Zoans," Gaia stated, she herself was also shocked by the nature of this Devil Fruit, almost like she's seen one like that before. "It has the properties of both a Paramecia and a Mythical Zoan."

"Wait what! I thought only dad's Devil Fruit had properties of more than one type of Devil Fruit."

"Yeah, it's similar in nature to Uranus' Devil Fruit. We believe it absorbed a Paramecia fruit into it." Gaia and Nika were now walking into a highly secured room that protects the Devil Fruit.

Gaia held up her ID card and the door opened, this is it. The first time I'm going to see it.

"Ready Nika?" She looked down at her son, who seemed to be very excited."

"Ready!"

Gaia nodded and they walked towards the container, next to it stood a scientist known as Einstein.

Einstein's eyes brighten when Gaia arrived. "Gaia, I'm glad you came in on top, I was getting worried you wouldn't come to see this unique Devil Fruit!"

"I wouldn't want to miss this, what are the origins of this Devil Fruit?"

"Well, from what I've gotten from my research, this Devil Fruit was originally known as Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Helios, before it absorbed another Devil Fruit known as Gomu Gomu no Mi." Einstein pulled up his computer, and showed it to Gaia. "Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Helios has never been seen for over a millennia, the fact it was in this garden waiting for another Devil Fruit to merge with a powerful Paramecia is simply shocking."

"I would say so doctor," Gaia concluded, the queen looked at her son, who seemed to be uncomfortable from something. "Nika what's wrong?"

"This Devil Fruit... I feel some type of weird energy coming out of it."

"I don't feel it, rather strange. But Zoans have their own wills, I think it's calling you to eat it."

"WHAT! But I don't want to eat it!" Nika complained. "I would lose my ability to swim!"

"I'm afraid that's true, but once a Zoan calls for it's host, you must eat it. Or else..."

"Or else what?"

"This is just a rumor, but there has been a story that those who don't eat it, it's soul will enter your body when you're asleep." Einstein explained. "Plus it would give us a chance to see what are the capabilities of this new fruit. If you want to of course."

Nika wasted no time, grabbing the Devil Fruit from the container. He sighed, here we go. The prince took a deep breath, and took a large chunk out of the Devil Fruit. His first thoughts? "This fruit tastes so gross! I've heard dad say how bad it is, but dang! This is way worse than I expected!"

Nika jumped down and stretched his arms, which reached further than before. Gaia and Einstein's eyes comically widen at the display of the new ability.

"So, why am I not the Sun God?" Which broke a rather tense moment into laughter.

"Nika, you have to awaken the Devil Fruit!" Einstein laughed, wiping his tears. "For now, you're going to be showing the properties of Gomu Gomu no Mi, until you awaken it."

"Aw man, I wanted to become a Sun God!" Nika sighed, hanging his head low in defeat. Gaia held out her hand.

"Come on, let's go get dinner! We'll have some Sea King steak."

"Really oh wow!" Nika yelled and immediately ran out the lab.

"Well Gaia, I guess you should get going to."

"Yes it is indeed, I'll try to get someone to train him how to handle his Devil Fruit. First few days or even months is going to be rough on him."

"Alright then, take care Gaia!" Einstein waved as Gaia exited the room. That kid is going to change the entire world, Einstein thought as he laughed.
