AN: Hey everyone, it's been a long while since I've last posted an actual chapter. Honestly wasn't sure if I would ever actually post on here again to be honest. Still, I'm back, and due to the fact my updates will be a while in between more than likely, I'm done deleting stories. I seriously am. Main reason I ever do so is my damn anxiety getting a hold on me and making me second guess and that ends up ruining stories for me, and that's not fair for you guys.

Anyway, this is my first crack at Star Wars, and to be honest I am no expert so help me out when you guys can. Though I do know if Pokemon were in the Star Wars' universe, they would probably be OP. Force be damned, if a Tyranitar gets pissed off enough, Hyper Beam through a Star Destroyer... and the funny thing is the shields would probably be down because of them underestimating the power of one.

Setting this though, is the beginning of Clone Wars, but for Pokémon wise, it'll be during the time period set in Legends of Arceus, only people are getting more into catching Pokémon at this time, explaining why the MC here has a few of them.

I hope you guys like this, and stay tuned because there will be more stories coming out soon.

Chapter One:

Entering the Clone Wars

Part 1 of 4

He remembered when he was taken.

It had been so long ago; he could hardly remember what life was like before the old man had taken him. Distortion, he could hardly remember the face of his parents or his older brother. Six years would definitely do that, and for a sixteen-year-old known as Duncan Kalsan, it was a very long and grueling six years.

He had been taken from his home planet by a strange man in strange robes unlike any he has seen before, along with an army of machines that launched lasers at people. Humans fell, of course they did, they are a fragile species after all, but the creatures of the planet, creatures known as Pokémon, they fought back with no fear. Yet, they weren't the target of the man... it was him.

It was also Duncan who the man, who was revealed to be some kind of Count named Dooku of all things, that took him along with his closest friends, some of his brother's youngest Pokémon, onboard the ship. Yet, the Count was unaware of their presence for to his knowledge, Pokémon were savage beasts incapable of being trained. To Duncan, it was for the best as if he had known, his homeworld would be conquered and ruled over by his Master's Master, and Duncan would rather go to the Distortion World than allow that to happen.

Training under his 'Master' was brutal, harsh and quite painful, but he always made time, no matter how badly in pain he was, to train with the only semblance of family he had. Over the course of six years, they all had fully evolved, some into forms he had only heard about in legends. He was sure his master knew about them by now, it was kind of hard to hide most of them, but he doubted he'd bother, Dooku did almost die due to the sheer power of a angered Garchomp on his home planet afterall.

What he was sure his dear old master didn't know was the secondary power that came when he began training in The Force. One that his friends had told him was called Aura, a power connected to The Force, but was also only accessible by a few lineages of Pokémon and the few humans born with enough Aura to be used effectively.

Duncan was one of those special individuals, but instead of the usual blue Aura was known for, it was a dangerously dark violet, more akin to Dark Type energy, otherwise known as Distortion Energy.

The young man could only deduce that it had to do with his training from the Dark Side. Still, he wasn't planning on spilling that secret until he was on a battlefield, along with showing off the power of his friends for when he did, the galaxy was never going to be the same.

Now, though, Duncan was in the palace of his master, many lightyears away from his home planet on the planet known as Serenno, the capital of the Seperatists. It was also surrounded by squadrons of battle droids, not necessarily to keep out Republic forces, which would be suicide if they were to try anything, but to keep him in.

Duncan did have a bit of a rebellious streak when he wasn't training, and it was something Dooku had always intended to snuff out. Not that he could account for the teen being friends with a legit ghost, an illusionist, and a couple of psychics.

Still, Duncan knew when not to piss off his Master, and it had led him to becoming a weapon for this 'War' he wanted no part of. Only reason he chose to fight was to keep his home planet out of it, which they were due to them being on the outer areas of the Galaxy, on a planet that was said to hold monsters of untold power.

It filled the teen with pride to know he was from a planet with such a feared reputation, but that was neither the here nor now.

As of right now, he was knelt before his master, who had his red-bladed lightsaber activated as he stood before the boy. He then lowered the blade to the teen's left shoulder, stopping just before hitting the limb, before speaking. "When I had first came across you, I saw the fire in your eyes. A host of raw, untapped potential that any master lives to see. Power that was locked away on a planet filled with some of the strongest monsters the galaxy has ever seen, is now to be unleashed upon the enemies of The Sith."

He then proceeded to make the same movement to the right side before continuing. "You have truly grown powerful under my teachings, despite your more 'unfitting' behavior, and at last, The Dark Side is now your ally. Henceforth you shall be known from this day forward as Darth Thanato."

"You have my thanks, Master," Duncan spoke as he bowed his head. He knew it was times like these where he was to keep his sarcastic quips to himself. There was a lightsaber about a few centimeters from his head after all.

Dooku deactivated his lightsaber before looking away from the teen. "Rise, there is much to discuss."

Duncan did as asked, and this is when his appearance can now be seen. Toxic violet eyes, raven black hair that went to the shoulders, about 6'0" exactly as of now, he was still growing after all, along with hints of a goatee. Along with that, he had a black attire, typical of The Sith, with hints of violet in it like on his gloved hands, which had violet highlights on them. Other than that, he was dressed similar to the ninja clans that he had heard of from his home world (just black with a few strands of violet, with bits of armor he had taken from the fallen feathers of one of his friends. The feathers were metallic and believe it or not, strong enough to withstand several strikes from lightsaber blades, something he was more than willing to show off. Lastly was the mask that he had laid next to where he was kneeled, which resembled his closest friend, only more feral looking due to being an evil looking black and purple in color, with glowing red eyes in the eye sockets.

He followed his master's gaze as he spoke. "What will you have me do, Master?"

"You're training is now complete, my Apprentice, which means you are now ready to take part in this war, to have The Republic know fear of the one known as Darth Thanato, along with your monsters that you choose to hang around with."

When Dooku called his friends monsters, he knew it was only a tactic to see him lash out, as well as out of fear due to his own experience on that planet. It bothered Duncan greatly, as he knew what came with it when he lashed out, but he knew better. He would hold his tongue, especially due to the importance of the situation. He chose to remain quiet for now as Dooku continued as he sat down at his desk, looking to his apprentice as he spoke.

"This war has reached to the far ends of the galaxy, which I know you are aware of, my Apprentice. Planets have risen and fallen as both the Confederate and the Republic clash for superiority. To win the current battles as well as push our forces closer to the heart of the Republic, we need to move our forces with haste. With that, we will need to force the hand of Jabba the Hutt to achieve this."

"With all due respect, Master," Duncan can't help but ask, "why do we need the slug's help?"

Dooku looked at his apprentice with a raised eyebrow due to his wording, but quickly went back to explaining his mission. "As the senior of the Hutt families, his control of Hutt Space is unequivocal. Killing him is out of the option as that would simply sway the families to the Republic, so swaying him to our cause will be key to getting our armies closer to Coruscant more exponentially."

"Do you wish for me to negotiate with the Hutt, Master?" Duncan asked as he thought of a few ways he could easily manipulate Jabba to agreeing with the use of his friends, who were as raring to go as he was.

"No," Dooku said simply, "the mission I have for you is a lot more pressing than simple negotiations. I need you to kidnap his son and bring him to me."

Duncan blinked at that, and literally had to bite his tongue to prevent himself from immediately saying no. He knew he was a Sith and that he was supposed to help win this war by every means necessary, but to bring a kid in? Yes, he was still a kid technically, but in all honesty, he stopped being a kid six years ago. Fact of the matter was that The Sith, and The Jedi from what he's heard, are increasingly fucked up in the head when it came to bring children into their causes.

Yes, his home world allowed children to bond with Pokémon as early as ten, but they weren't allowed to train any until they were at least fifteen, and even then, most of it was done with several adults with already trained and fully evolved Pokémon at the ready.

"If I may ask, Master," Duncan asked with a bowed head, hiding the violet light that came into his eyes at the mere thought of child abducting. "I must ask why we need to bring his son in if we are trying to bring him in as an ally? It would be next to impossible to have him side with us if he were to ever find out we have taken his son."

"Which is why we will make sure he will never know the truth," Dooku reasoned simply enough; "I will come up with the details later, until then my Apprentice, bring me his son."

Duncan nodded as he used the force to pull his mask to him and place it over his eyes, which only left his mouth exposed as the red eyes of the mask glowed. "As you wish, my Master."

Before he made his way to his own personal ship, Duncan, who had unmasked himself, made his way to the area he had been using for his secondary training grounds. The place where he planned on collecting his friends for the trip that was to come.

As he made his way to the forested area, he saw his closest friend and partner resting on a rock and seemingly waiting for him.

"Machiti," Duncan called out, which got the Pokémon's creature, an alternate looking Samurott that had come to a complete surprise to Duncan when he evolved, looked up towards his human friend and a smirk formed on the Water/Dark-type's face as he sprung onto his feet and raced towards the young man before jumping into him and almost barreling him over as the normally serious partner of Duncan's acted like an excited puppy.

"It's good to see you too, my friend," Duncan greeted as he placed his hand on the side of the Samurott's armored head. "It's finally time to show the galaxy just how dangerous we really are."

Machiti could only smirk in reply as he practically howled out in excitement, something that Duncan knew would gain the attention of the others, especially when a roar could be heard throughout the area.

Next thing Duncan knew, he was tackled by a dragon that resembled a Salamence, only a bit bigger, several more colors added on to him and extra scales, along with feathered wings that resemble a crescent moon. This was a variation that Duncan knew came from a distant region of his home world that he couldn't remember the name of. He only knew they were faster and a lot more aggressive than regular ... however, this one was simply licking him in the face.

"Drakos! It's good to see you too. Can you please let me up?"

The now named Drakos then reluctantly backed up, allowing the human to get to his feet... only for a Tyranitar to wrap him in a hug.

"It's good to see you too, Teras. Though, can you please refrain from breaking my spine?" Duncan asked as the Tyranitar then placed him down and simply nuzzled long after he was put down, three more Pokémon joined them, a Metagross, a Corviknight, and a Braviary, one with the psychic variation. Duncan gave a smile as he nodded to them in greeting. "Omadis, Koraki, Menti, I hope you three have been keeping the others in line."

The Steel/Pschic type only gave a light humming noise in response while a caw and a chirp were what the birds gave him respectively, with him nodding in response.

It was then Duncan noticed his own shadow moving and couldn't resist a smirk as a Gengar came out of it, looking at him with a devious smirk. "He still didn't notice, did he, Sfagi?"

Sfagi could only laugh maniacally at he hovered around the human who raised him, only to back up when a large black serpent then rose from behind Duncan. Almost all the current Pokémon were ready to attack the monster, but Duncan held a hand up, stopping them.

"Auta, behave yourself, you'll have plenty of time to use your illusions soon," the young Sith stated as the illusion disappeared and a Zoroark was in it's place, smirking maniacally as he admired his work.

A purr then could be heard as a large Luxray then approached Duncan from behind and rubbed up against him. The young man unconsciously placed his hand on the feline's mane and stroked it. "You are ready for this too, aren't you, Astrapi?"

Just looking at the Luxray's eyes told Duncan all he needed to know as the last three then appeared before him. They all were looking eager to go. Duncan could only grin as he saw the group together as he approached the final three. "Flare, I'm sure you're excited for the battles we have ahead of us?"

The Infernape, Flare, could only grin back as the two clasped hands.

A low grumble then got him to look past the ape as a Torterra approached him, a grin plastered on her tortoise-like face as well. "I know Terra, it's almost time, girl. We can get off this rock soon."

That caused the giant before him to give a pleased rumble. After Machiti, she was the oldest of the Pokémon here, and quite frankly the most protective of him, even when she couldn't be around him.

Lastly, she was probably the most bizarre member of the group, in all honesty. She was an alternate form of what was supposed to be a Volcarona, but the changes made her look like some kind of lizard-moth hybrid. Her wings were huge, but they seemed to be too weak to allow flight, but Duncan doubted she needed to fly. She could rear up and casually punch through an assault tank, no problem.

"Hey, Skoros, today's our big day, I hope you're ready," Duncan said as the Volcarona practically chirped in reply, making him smile as he addressed all of them.

"Listen up, we got our first mission," Duncan announced, "and I don't know about you all, but I'd rather make sure we have success when it comes to it. We can't tolerate failure. We are all aware of that. I have no idea what exactly we're up against, but I do know that we'll need to not show any sign of mercy... for if we do, the enemy will take advantage. We don't want that..."

Duncan took a deep breath before adding on. "I know you guys don't want to be seen as weapons of war. Believe me, I don't want that either. Yet, our only shot at going home involves us having to fight, and sadly, we will have to kill. I'm not going to make any of you kill if you don't want to, but just remember... at the end of this, we will gain our freedom. Even if we have to kill those who hold us here."

His friends, no, his family called out in approval as Duncan looked to them and nodded his head before they turned and headed straight for the Duncan's ship, Distortion's Fangs, a modified cruiser that Duncan made just to fit his friends in when they were to come along with him, and they sure as Giratina is the devil were coming with him.

Though, right now, Duncan is gonna take a back seat, as Darth Thanato is now in the driver seat.

"I see you're loving this, huh?" Darth Thanato asked Teras, who was rubbing up against the sand, as they were crouched behind a dune in the middle of the desert along with Machiti, Skoros, and Astrapi, with them, along with Sfagi in the Sith Apprentice's shadow and Koraki, Menti, and Drakos flying overhead, leaving the rest of the team watching over the ship. With Omadis' intelligence being more advanced than most of the technology they have to deal with, Duncan had no issue with leaving the Metagross to fly the ship when he was not around, he was the smartest thing around after all.

The reason they were on the ground waiting was simple; he could have just simply located the sail barge via his ship, but that would simply be too easy. That plus he wanted his team time to stretch their legs and still wasn't hard to find their target, though, it was rather hard to miss a sail barge that also had two skiffs as guards. The flyers of the group spotted them miles away, and due to Menti's psychic abilities, they were able to pinpoint where their target would cross.

Sadly, this was too easy for them if Duncan was one to say was kind of hoping to enter a grand battlefield so he could let all of his team members go all out on the enemy. At least then, he'd get a full scope of what the enemy was capable of and see how powerful they really now, though, he would stick to this covert stuff, even if they were more of Ventress' thing than his. He honestly wasn't even sure why she wasn't given this mission, but what does he know? Their master works in strange ways after all.

Getting himself back to the current mission, he noticed that their target was right where they needed it to be, and with nothing more than a nod, Teras dived into the sand. He then whistled, which caused the shadow of Koraki to move. What happened in the next couple of moments happened so fast that those who guarded the son of Jabba the Hutt, Rotta the Huttlet, never saw it coming.

First, Koraki dived down and with no hesitation from the bird, the first skiff was sliced in half by one of her massive wings before turning and with a sudden turn of her body, she slammed into the rest of the skiff, killing all who were on it with deadly precision. Meanwhile, on the other side, Teras rose from the sand, his head glowing metallic as he tore through the center of the second skiff. He then proceeded to tear through those who opposed him by either impaling them with stones that came from the ground or simply ripping their bodies to shreds with teeth and claws.

That's when Duncan charged in, avoiding the abruptness of the remaining guards on the outside of the barge as Machiti and Askapi took care of them with a mixture of electricity, water, and abrupt savagery. Teras then lowered his own head as Duncan ran to him, who stepped on the giant's head and leaped as the Tyranitar lift upwards to help him out, using the Force to extend his leap and landed on the deck, many of the guards were taken back by his appearance, but when his lightsabers activated, they truly felt fear as the lightsabers were activated, with two blood red sickles appearing from their handles with a humming sound, and Duncan smirked darkly at them.

Just as he began to step forward, Machiti and Askapi leaped up to his location, with the Samurott unsheathing his own blade jagged blade while sparks came off of the Luxray. Despite being terrified of this man and his monsters, the guards seemingly feared angering Jabba more as they proceeded to aim their weapons and prepared to fire.

Before the guards could open fire, though, the barge was abruptly stopped, and when a few of the guards looked over to see what had happened, only to see that not only was Skoros holding the ship still as it struggled to move forward, but she also proceeded to pull back a forelimb and proceeded to punch a hole into the side of the barge, making it shake.

That gave Duncan, Machiti, and Askapi the chance to launch forward, and to say it was a slaughter was an understatement as the Sith Apprentice and his two Pokemon tore through the guards in relative quickness. Duncan in particular fought with savagery unlike his usual self, slicing through guards with his sickles shaped lightsabers while spilling the guts and beheading his enemies with deadly precision. All the while Machiti was terrorizing other guards with his jagged blade, covered with dark energy, as well as unleashing torrents of water and ice, and even goring a guard with his horn that glowed a light green. Askapi leaped and bounded as he unleashed blue lightning upon the remaining guards, before ducking a blast and, with teeth igniting in flames, proceeded to pounce at the one who fired at him, ripping his throat out with flaming jaws.

Duncan then looked up and saw several guards come out from the ship and began to open fire on his Pokémon. With eyes narrowing to slits, he charged forward blocking a few blasts with his sickles before proceeding to throw one into a guard, slicing him in half down the middle in the process.

While the guards thought the Sith Apprentice made a crucial error, they were soon corrected as they saw a violet sphere of energy form in the young man's free hand before he proceeded to send it at a pair of guards, who on impact were practically scorched by the attack, with the use of the Force all that was left to simply kill them.

What was left of the guards began to panic, but before they could make their way to where they came, a shadow began to rise, revealing Sfagi with a sadistic smirk as his hands glowed a dark purple with distortion energy before he stuck his tongue out and, much to the surprise of the guards, licked one of them before gutting him with his clawed hands. The remaining guards took off running, about to jump off the side, only for blue energy to glow around them via psychic powers, and lift them up into the air.

Death here came in one of two ways. They were either grabbed and crushed in strong talons by a Braviary, or they were blasted by a ray of Dark Energy by a Tyranitar.

Meanwhile while this happened, Duncan and the three who were with him have made their way into the ship, only to find that most of the guards inside were already dead and gone. The young Sith Apprentice was about to ask if Sfagi did this, but he stopped himself from asking when he heard a chitter and, much to his surprise, the laughing of a child.

He then found his target, but to be fair, Skoros found it first, the little Huttlet seemed to be enjoying grabbing on to the Volcarona's single clawed front limb. Duncan couldn't help but smile at the scene, and it made him really wish he didn't have to do this. He was once in the kid's shoes, and he never wanted to feel like that again.

Yet... orders were orders, right?

"Skoros, can you carry him? I have to contact Omadis to bring the ship around."

The giant Bug/Fighting type looked to her human friend before nodding as she turned to the child and lifted up the hover carriage, making Duncan sweatdrop just a little.

'That works I suppose,' Duncan thought as he then used his aura to get ahold of Omadis. 'Omadis, I need you to bring the ship around, my friend. We have what we came here for.'

It wasn't long before Distortion's Fangs hovered above them and lowered down enough for the young man to Force jump in, with the rest of his team entering as well as their target, but before they could head out, he had one more order to give. "Drakos, I know you wanted something more exciting, but I'll give you this... blow this barge to bits, I don't care how you do it."

The unique Salamence smirked as he then launched back into the air and without any hesitation, unleashed a massive Hyper Beam at the barge, reducing it to ashes in a matter of seconds, something Duncan hoped wasn't felt by anyone in particular. The blast was by all means powerful, but even then he could tell the dragon was holding back.

Drakos then landed back on the ramp of the ship and went in, allowing Duncan to close the ramp and follow the dragon in. With Machiti by his side, he walked through the resting area he had built into this ship for the Pokémon and found the Skoros was showing off the little Huttlet to Tera, who sniffed at the youngling in curiosity before they noticed Duncan walk up to them.

"You mind helping Skoros watch over the kiddo?" Duncan asked the Torterra, who rumbled an affirmative. "Thanks, and until we can give him back to his father, I want you two to make sure no one harms him, no matter who it is."

With two affirmative calls from the two females, Duncan kept moving, he had to report to his master that the objective has been completed, and quite frankly, he really enjoyed the thrill when it lasted. Still... this mission was hardly a challenge, thugs were thugs and they were no match for him even if he came alone, let alone with his friends by his side.

He made his way to the front of the ship, Machiti following close behind while Sfagi remained in his shadow. He then knelt down as he proceeded to call his master, all the while the Samurott laid down beside him, not really caring for the old man who soon appeared in the blue hologram.

"Master, the mission was a success, the Huttlet is secured."

'Well done, my Apprentice, now take him to the Teth System, Asaji will meet you to secure the Huttlet.'

To be honest, Duncan would rather just guard him with his team, but at the end of it all, he was not one to question his orders... much.

Not anything against Ventress, but she was rather too moody for his taste in company. Oh well, his Master told him to mingle, he'll mingle.

"As you wish, Master."

AN: And there you go, Chapter one is done, and it didn't take me too long to make either, which is surprising to be honest. A lot of the names of the Pokémon are Greek, mainly because they are interesting names, and Duncan's Darth name is also Greek, and I bet you know what it means. I will say this was surprisingly easy for me to write, and I hope you all like it, I just wish I could have used the whole team, but that would have simply been overkill, even more so than it already was.

I also hope you guys like the lightsabers I chose for Duncan to have, I bet you get the reference for them too, I just couldn't help myself.

As you can see, Duncan is indeed a Sith Apprentice, and has finally earned the Darth. Yet, he's not entirely into the whole serving the Confederacy as much as he is in to returning to his home planet, and he's used this as fuel to become strong enough to break free. He hasn't got there yet, but that'll come as the war goes on. Also, I'm not sure about you guys, but I don't know who I want to pair him with, if at all. I know the main thing to do is Ahsoka/OC, but that's kinda been done in Star Wars stories of similar themes.

I also want you to know that Duncan will not join The Jedi in this story... mainly because he sees through their shenanigans like he does with The Sith. No, he'll become something more dangerous, just you wait and see. This story will get darker as time goes on I hope, and yes, before you ask, I did give him Aura, I don't really know why I did it to be honest, but I decided it on a whim.

And before I forget... here are the members of Duncan's Team:

Hisuian Samurott (Machiti)

Tyranitar (Teras)

Corviknight (Koraki)

Metagross (Omadis)

Gengar (Sfagi)

Salamence (Roaring Moon) (Drakos)

Volcarona (Slither Wing) (Skoros)

Infernape* (Flare)

Torterra (Terra)

Zoroark (Auta)

Luxray (Astrapi)

Hisuian Braviary* (Menti)

Also... if this story goes well, would you like to see a version in which I do Ash Ketchum being trained as either a Jedi or a Sith? It would be up to you guys of course, and I would probably do a different setting compared to what this story is.

Don't forget to like and review, as next time, we see our main protagonist face off against some Jedi, and unlike in canon, things will turn out quite a bit differently.
