Naruto met a nice end at 60 which in Shinobi terms is ancient. He was expecting to meet Ero sensei, jiji, and his parents not a damned forest. "Jiji?" Nothing
"What are you doing out this far in the forest." A strange man came up. He had blonde hair and a star on his forehead 'Huh?' even more he had a regal red and white coat hanging of his shoulders.
"Do you know where I am?" He said looking around and trying to get his bearings. there was nothing but the heavens above the trees and that man
"A tad but north of the capital." The man walked a bit closer to him unnerving him 'somethings wrong with this guy I can just feel it'
"Do I know how I got here?" He said backing away a bit from the man 'I need to get away and get better information I'm in unknown ground with unknown enemies'
"The mana has its ways also may I ask do you remember anything," he said gesturing for him to follow him
Naruto taking the safe route just said "No" He knows something up about this guy, and what's this mana
"Also what did you do to gain horns." he said handing Naruto a mirror he removed from one of his coat's pockets
"I have… horns?" He looked a little closer he had white eyes pale skin brown hair and the obvious horns 'Wait I look like a younger super Jiji I also have his cool cape'
"So you're completely clueless, anyways what do you remember." he and Naruto were walking through the forest the forest was starting to clear out
"Uhh I know how to talk and do basic things I think that's all." he said slightly lying since he technical didn't know what these people did
"Hmm do you have a grimoire." the forest finally cleared out there was a meadow in the middle was a derelict tower further on a hill was a grand city
"No… and is that the capital?" He said taking in the view
"Yes and that tower is where you're going to get your grimoire" he looked over to the boy "Want me to pick up a mask to hide your horns?" they started to head over to the tower
"Is it not normal to have horns?" they were approaching the tower it was looking a bit less hazardous than it looked from far away the holes in it it had beams holding the bricks above it together
"Sorta they might be mistaken as well when is black and signals a dark magic user I think you're just not completely human." they were right in front of the building the door was a mahogany-looking wood it had a golden handle that didnt show the toll of time
"What do you mean not fully human." the way he said it just irked him and reminded him of how he was treated as a child, not even a human
"I'll explain later go into the tower and get your grimoire I'll be back in a sec." He sat there as if in thought then continued "What's your favorite animal?" he looked into naruto's pale eyes
"Uhh foxes..?" He said in confusion at the sudden tone shift in the man's composer and demeanor
"Good good now get going your grimoire isn't going to wait forever." he said before disappearing in a poof of light leaving Naruto to himself
'Shunshin? This keeps getting weirder im on my deathbed next im in a forest with the most suspicious man since Orochimaru on a good day now im in front of a tower to get a book that everyone has i think and to add to the madness i look like super jiji
"That's a lot of books…" Two books flew off the shelves and floated down to our horned heroines' hands 'is this a grimoire?' the grimoire on his left was a midnight black with the symbol for yin outlined in white with a white moon on the other side of it. The one on his right was a snow white the symbol for yang outlined out of black and a black moon on the back.
A flash of light and the man is back "I'm back what type of magic do you have!" the man said the excitement in his voice more clear than glass
"Yin and yang…?" He looked at the man he had a bag in his hand 'Wait magic im a wizard?' he thought
"Yin and yang what does that mean?" the man said bewildered
"Here you look at them." shoving the books to the man
"Two grimoires!" He said surprised 'Wait I've seen these symbols in the ancient texts' he added in thought
"Is that rare? He asked
"Again sorta but it proves my theory that your not fully human." he said holding his grimoires
"What do you mean by your theory? He grabed his grimoires back
"Hybrids gain two magic affinities and thus two grimoires." he said it like it was a fact of life that just happens "Also here's your mask." handing him a mask that looks like it was from an anbu
"Also I never asked for your name.
"Julius Novachrono"
'I should probably not go by my old name' he sat there for a second
"asura ōtsutsuki"
"That sounds like a name that would come from where Yami came from. I think it was called the land of the sun?" He said in thought
"So where do I go after this." he looked at Julius
"May I ask do you want to protect and provide for this land and its people?" He looked straight through Naruto and into his soul
"I would protect people no matter if they're for this land or not believe it!" he said with a vigor that would move mountains
"I think I'm starting to like you also how does that mask fit?" He moved right next to Asura
"Good," he responded 'maybe i had a bad first take on him he seems like a dork but im still not trusting him'
"This might be a bit jarring." he grabbed his shoulder and they disappeared
"Where are we?" they were in a room much like his now old office (he held it til death)
"My office." He said moving to the door before it was busted in from the other side
"Julius you can't just "I sense a change in the mana." then fuck off for 20 minutes when you have a meeting in 30 minutes also who the hell is that!" A man with a haircut that looked like a mushroom started yelling
"Well I'm here and I found someone special that I want to join the knights" he sighed then started to walk out of his office
"You're going to be the death of me Julius." the man said in a defeated voice
"Asura follow me" They walked through several hallways and stopped at a door "I have a meeting that should only take a few minutes just stay here" he walked into the room before several voices started to yell

It has been about 20 minutes according to Asura's internal clock. The door bursts open and several people walk past him 'Finally' he thinks
"Yami could you stay there is someone I would like to introduce to you this is Asura" he gestured toward Asura. Yami looked like what he thought a samurai looked like when he was 10 tall as hell buff as hell
"Your parents most of loved you or hated you with a name like that." Yami scratched his chin looking down at him Yami had a standard length katana from looking at the sheath
"I don't know which type of asura they meant I'm a orphan." he said looking to the ground 'hmm i wonder what did super jiji mean by naming his son that'
"And what does asura mean exactly? Julius asked the two 'he probably knows the meaning but is just trying to play the fool
"Something like demi god or demon god depending on the translation." Yami said huffing his cigarette
"hmm may I also ask what ōtsutsuki means" Julius inquired 'Oh he's just trying to figure me out isn't he
*That's a name related to legend something like horned sages from way back like thousands of years ago also if you want a straight translation it's Tree"
"Asura could you take off your mask?" Julius had one of those faces that a parent would have when giving a gift that they didn't know if their child would like
"Kami Julius!" He shouted shocked seeing what is the equivalent of the Bogeyman in person
"I would like for him to join your squad I foresee him as an important asset in fighting the eye of the midnight sun" Julius looked him right in the eye 'that bastard also the hell is this eye of the eye of the midnight sun'
"Ok Julius your increasing my budget for this, already have to deal Asta and I can feel that this one is going to be as much of a headache." Yami sighed then started walking away 'i have a witch a devil user now a ōtsutsuki am I going to get a goddam elf next!' Yami yelled in thoughts
"Do I follow him?" Asura asked 'its better to just keep with the follow even though I've been shoved into some group i have no knowledge of but I think I've gotten pretty far in this world's ranks
"Yea get your ass over here," Yami yelled back at the kid
"So what is our squad like?" as Kakashi once said "In unknown situations, knowledge is more powerful than any kunai or jutsu"
"Bunch of idiots and my idiots you'll get to know em Ina bit," he said blowing out smoke from his cigarette
"Hmm." he put his mask on not comfortable with showing more of the servants of the castle his complexion
"So how old are you kid?" He looked at Asura
"I have amnesia woke up in a forest and Julius strong-armed me into joining the knights but i think I'm somewhere in my early 60s."
"COUGH 60s you didnt look a day over 20s!" He coughed out accidentally breathing some ashes from his cigarette
"I think I just age differently." He calmly said
"I forgot you are part of some ancient race of sages or something like that."
"So where is your base at or is it more of a group meet-up type?" They left the castle and started walking the streets
"We have a fort in the boonies down south we also need to grab finral."
"Hm."
"So what's what's your magic type." Yami took a turn toward the right heading down an alleyway
"Yin and yang I have two."
"Vague which is good means you can make your magic suit your fighting style" Yami started smiling 'I see why Juilis wanted to get this kid in" yami thought
"So Julius mentioned this eye of the midnight sun who or what is it" he looked over to Yami 'i need answers on this if Julius was desperate enough to recruit someone he just meet I need to know
"It's it terrorist group hellbent and killing everyone in the Clover kingdom they have already basically killed one of our strongest he hasn't woken up from his coma and we don't think he will." yami took a second then took a puff from his cigarette they turned a corn to a man siting in front of a building
"Captain back from your meeting and who is that?" A man with messy brown yelled to Yami
"Finral this is our newest member asura he was strong-armed to join by the wizard king" he sighed and walked over to him
"Why does he wear a mask?" Finral was looking at Asura trying to make heads or tails of him
"Why don't you ask him yourself also make us a portal home" Yami took a puff from his cigarette
A circle of white static opened and Yami stepped through "Just walk through it and it'll take you to base"
"Thank you." he walked through suddenly he was in a clearing of a forest with a mansion sitting in the middle "Hmm so this is base." he thought I would be a bit bigger but it was decently defendable if he can still use seals this place by the time he is done with it would be swimming defense seals
"Captain your back so how did your meeting go!" A grey-haired midget came running up
"Hey asta" Yami proceed to grab Asta by the head and carry him back inside
"PUT ME DOWN!" the midget named Asta yelled
"I think I'm going to like it here" so magic how the hell does it work in need to find that out believe it!
"So why do you wear a mask?" Finral asked walking into the mansion with asura following behind
"I don't want to show my face" he went into the mansion it having a main room with a few couches and a dining table in the corner 'this place needs something to lighten the mood in here maybe some new chairs anything'
"Well anyways this entire mansion is magic as in the layout furniture changes regularly expect inside living quarters if you want to find a part of the mansion you usually find it" he went and plopped on the couch
"I'll keep that in mind so wheres my room?" He sat in a rocking chair 'Wait this wasn't here before I guess that's what finral meant by the furniture just disappearing and reappearing'
"Who's the new guy? A woman laying on the couch with a bottle of wine yelled out
"I picked him off the side of the road" Yami yelled back
"New guy, is he strong?" A yellow-haired midget came from a hallway
"Luck no killing the new guy, now this wine is calling my name" she started to drink the wine straight from the bottle
"I want to see what the new guy can do too" a stereotypical punk came from the same hallway that luck came from
"Everyone get outside we're hazing the new recruit" Yami shouted
"Will there be food?" A voice yelled back at Yami
"I guess ya?" Yami yelled back extremely confused
"I just wanted to know where my room is believe it" he whined
"Awww he has a verbal tick" the half-naked woman cued

The entirety of the black bulls was outside waiting for the spar between Luck and asura "You two start on my signal" Yami was standing between the two
Both of asuras books started to float around him 'Im going to need a weapon' two bo staffs came out of his grimoires 'its been a while since I've used these bring back memories of fighting Kaguya' he grabbed them "Hmm these will do"
"You have two grimoires?" Luck asked the excitement in his voice building up
"Yes" he readies himself putting his left bo staff in reverse grip (it's pointing backwards)
"Ready… GO!" Yami jumped out of the way
Luck charged covering his hands in a lighting gauntlet which made him faster? 'Hes a speed type best to keep on the defense and parry until I can catch him'
Luck went in for a slash asura parried it with his left bo staff then went for a counterattack with his right aiming for the side of lucks chest
"Nice try." Luck kicked the air sparks flew out from his foot as he flipped out of the way of asuras counter and slightly shocking him in the chest
'I underestimated him.. wait can I do that?' his right grimoire flipped a few pages he held his hand to his chest a green glow emanated from his hand " Now let's see who can last the longest."
"You also have healing magic you are full of surprises" Luck started to circle Asura looking for a single slip-up 'I should be careful I don't know what that other grimoire can do wait finally an opening!' luck charged the sun barring on him he prepared another slash.. why isn't he moving wait.. His shadow did something i should have expected it being black and all
"Game." asura pointed his bo staff to Luck's neck
"Could you release me?" Luck smiled
"O sorry," he said scratching the back of his head 'i need to develop my ability with shadows i can only just think of the applications of it'
"So how did you make me freeze?" Luck said almost bouncing of the walls off the adrenaline of their spar
"Shadow paralyses, one ability of my left grimoire is dominion over shadows can't really do that much with it right now though." he went to shake Luck's hand
"Let's rap everything up it's getting late." Yami got off the log he was sitting on and started walking back inside
"I'm going to make dinner." a tiny little midget midget yelled out, scurrying inside 'what is it with these people and being short?'
"Thanks, charmy." finral yelled back everyone heading back inside once they heard that food was coming soon
"I'm going to find an empty room to put my stuff in I'll be back in a bit." asura did a few streches then started to head in after Yami 'first i need to find a library there are to many unknowns and im not taking any risks
"You have fun with that." yami went inside and disappeared out of view
'Hmm I wonder what type of room I would want he just started walking through the Mansion going down some hallways An up some stairs until he reached a door named "asuras room" 'Hmm I should have expected this' he opened it and came INto the room it had a skylight in the ceiling a couch to his left to his right a massive shelve of books on topics from mana theory to geography and right in front of him on the farthest wall was a desk with traditional calligraphy equipment
Knock knock "Asura food ready." Finral told him from behind the door
"Coming." He grabbed one of the books and some writing equipment ' i hope to kami i can get seals to work'
Basic mana theory by Richard Vermillion the 3rd
'should give me something to do for the next few days he thought flipping through the pages while making his way to the dining hall
"O there you are asura thought you wouldn't come down." finral gestured for him sit next to him asta Vanessa Magna and Noelle
Mana every living thing has it, it's in the air even. There are two types of mana raw and elemental. Raw mana is what all beings run off if we were to run out of it we would die. There is what some would call a background noise of raw mana some highly skilled mages can use this in something called mana zone we'll cover that at a later time but on to elemental mana. Elemental mana is what mages use it is raw mana converted into an element, thing, or idea (wind chains seals)also note some magic uses raw instead of elemental i e (copy seals light and darkness)
"Sorry I had to get something." holding his hand up showing his books brush ink and papers
"You write?" Asta asked before getting hit on the head
"Of course he does baka!" Noelle yelled
"No it's fine to ask Noelle no need to hit him." asura sat on the left finral 'this seems extremely like chakra
Grimoires no one knows where they came from but they have become a pillar stone of our society. They enhance magic giving mages spells they also give the working a easier load with more efficient basic magic usage.
"She just hits him because she loves him." Magna put his hand in front of his to try to hide what he's saying
"Magna start running because if I catch you I'm shoving a water spell UP YOUR ASS!" Noelle looked like a ripe screaming tomato that could cause floods if she was angry enough
"Now now kids, let's not kill each other." Vanessa took a sip from her wine glass "Wait asura how old are you?"
"62." he sighed and went back to reading and writing
Vanessa spat out her wine "62!?"
"Your ancient!" Asta yelled
"I age a lot slower so under my mask I still look like I'm in my 20s."
"Explains why you can best luck." Noelle took a bite out of her bread
Runes, one of the most advanced mage arts it involves channeling magic through special writing augmenting spells further than any grimoire could
"I think I was more powerful I forgot what I could do once I forgot my life." he started to vigorously write down something on his paper
"Hmm, anyways what are you writing down?" Noelle looked over to Asura
"I'm done watch this." he put his brush in the middle of the paper it glowed and in a puff of smoke it was gone
"Where did the brush go?" Asta looked at the paper seeing nothing
"It's in the paper." Asura put his hands on the paper again it glowed and the brush reappeared
"That's some really complicated runes…" finral was shocked that it was even possible to do something like that with runes
"It's pretty simple you use the runes make a pocket with mana then store an item in it then to get the item back you open that pocket back up the paper acts as a tether," he said it like it was basic math
"My head hurts from hearing that." Asta took a bite from his piece of meat
"You can't do that with runes, runes augment magic not create new uses," Noelle added
"Elemental magic yes straight up mana no." He sat there for a second composing himself "Think of us as runes we take raw mana and convert it into elemental mana, and grimoires refine that mana into spells, and runes can refine that magic even more. If you use raw mana in runes they can do anything." He ranted
"That makes no sense but at the same time almost does" Noelle's head hurt from the insanity of Asuras ranting
"If you convert your mana into elemental by using it how would you put in raw mana in when putting it in turns it into elemental mana?" Asta asked
"You pull it from nature thus it doesn't go through you," he said it like it was the most obvious answer
*Ahh yes use mana zone, that's so easy." Noelle said with a notable tick on her forehead
"I know you weren't using mana zone so how did you do it" finral looked at Asura looking for an answer
"My mana is somewhat special as in I don't have a traditional magic like asta, I have yin and yang magic," he said pulling out his two grimoires
"What is yin and yang?" Asta asked him
"Destruction and creation, light and dark, life and death, illusion and reality, to make form from nothingness and to breathe life from nothingness." He lists the means
"Why can you make sense?" Asta whined not understanding a single thing that Asura was saying
"Well I'm going to bed see you tomorrow." asura picked up his things and headed to his room 'thank kami that Sakura got me into reading I won't have survived this long if I didn't. He flopped onto the couch and slowly fell into his sleep

"Super Jiji?" Naruto called out
"I have several topics to discuss with you." the old man spoke floating in the air
"Lay it on me." he prepared for whatever jiji was going to throw at him
"Do you know why I have brought you back?" He grabbed his shakujō and pointed it at him
"No..?" He rubbed the back of his head
"Spread peace there is great evil brewing you saved this world once I believe you can do it again."
"Hmph okay could you at least tell me how the world ended up like this?" He started to walk around
"Chakra fundamentally changed, the world fell apart." the sage took a deep breath
"O… is there anything you can teach me about how to use magic?" He looked up to the sage
"There is not limit to your power because your power is creation itself."
"Hmm."
"Remember these words beware the two-faced light"
