It had been about two months since the Great Devourer was defeated and the entire city of Ninjago was helping fix the damages done to the city. The Ninja were fixing up a sign outside a store. Cole and Jay were holding it up, Zane was standing off to the side, and Kai was trying to activate his elemental powers.

"Ugh, finally. All fixed up and Serpentine free," Cole said relieved that they finished up fixing the city.

Kai tried to use his fire element but failed multiple times. "Aargh. Ugh, this is frustrating."

After Jay and Cole let go of the street sign, it started to tip over but they managed to grab it before it fell. "Our weapons are gone and most of our elemental powers are gone. I mean, we can still do Spinjitzu, but..." Kai tried once again. Kai saw a flame come out but it was only coming from Zane's blowtorch. "I just feel so, I don't know, limited. And thanks to the Devourer, our tank's out of commission, our Dragon's hurt, and now the Bounty is destroyed, we don't even have a place to sleep."

Zane stopped using his blowtorch and said, "No one ever said being a hero is easy." Zane took off his welding mask. His ear had healed nicely since he was attacked by the Great Devourer. It had a chip on the side of his left ear since it was nicked. "Though our good deeds may never make us rich, they make us rich in other ways."

"Yeah, well, I don't feel rich," Kai commented while feeling somewhat bitter.

Jay picked up a TV and put it in a trashcan. "I for one enjoy pitching in. I've always wanted to feel part of a community. Uh, speaking of which, anyone seen Nya? She said she was gonna help."

"And I have." Nya arrived on a motorbike with Sensei Wu in a sidecar. "I may have found us a place to live."

Surprise, Jay said, "Really? But there's a waiting list a mile long to live in Ninjago City. How did you do that?"

"I know a guy, who knows a girl, and she knows this girl who knows a guy. Well, this guy knows a girl who's a real estate agent and she can help you find a place if you catch my drift."

Nya handed Jay a pamphlet and then he asked, "And where are you off to?"

"We have to find a couple of components to fix the ninja tank. And my dragon ointment has finally arrived. It's a day's trip, but once we get back, he'll be flying again. Also, I love scenic drives. Haha, punch it, Nya!"

"Ay ay, Sensei".

Nya drove away on her motorbike, leaving the Ninja alone with Lloyd to find a temporary place to stay. "Yee-haw!"

"Patty Keys, Real Estate Queen. Huh, this is exactly what we need. Once we get a roof over our head, we can start properly training Lloyd."

"Good, 'cause if we know Lord Garmadon, he's not going to be taking any breaks. And let's not forget, the Serpentine are still at large," Cole told them, not knowing that Garmadon was already making plans.

In the desert, near the Destiny's Bounty, Skales is trying to gain the title of Snake King to rule over Ninjago once more.

"Serpentine, we've been exiled for the last time. Fear not, I will lead you."

Mezmo not believing Skales said, "Lead us? To where? The City of Ouroboros has been destroyed. We have no home."

Fang-Suei asked, "You want to lead us so badly, why should we trust you?"

"Because I was the one who told you in the first place not to awaken the Devourer. But no, you listened to Pythor."

Garmadon walked up from behind and said, "You want a home... I'll give you a home."

Everyone turned around shocked to see Garmadon alive and with them. "Lord Garmadon!"

"Forgive me, I haven't been myself lately. But now that I have the Golden Weapons, it's time that I got back to my roots." Some of the Serpentine sounded elated when Garmadon talked about going back to being evil. "If I'm going to rule Ninjago, I know I can't do it all by myself." Now, the Serpentine were invested in Garmadon's words. "The Skeletons served their purpose, but I've always been partial to snakes. If you want someone to follow, follow me." The Serpentine cheered, ready to serve Lord Garmadon.

Skales wasn't having it, however. He would not accept Garmadon as his leader. "You are to follow me, not him!" The Serpentine ignored Skales and choose to follow Garmadon.

"You want a home, I give you a home." Garmadon used the Golden Weapons to rebuild the Bounty into a darker ship.

"The power of the weapons..." Mezmo said memorized by the power he just witnessed.

"I give you the Black Bounty!" Everyone cheered as the Black Bounty lowered down to the ground.

"Imbeciles!" The Serpentine turned back to face Skales and the other leaders of the Serpentine tribes. "Do you not remember he was just helping the ninja?! Now you blindly follow him because of his wizardry?! He's not even a Serpentine. Rule with me, and we rule as brothers!"

"Rule with me..." Garmadon pointed the Sword of Fire at Mezmo's throat, threatening to kill him. "...or else." Mezmo nodded quickly, not wanting to upset Garmadon.

Without skipping a beat, the Serpentine, except for the tribe leaders, went onto the Black Bounty. "All hail Lord Garmadon!" The Black Bounty took off in the opposite direction of Ninjago.

"Oh, darn. Ugh!" Skales jumped up and down in frustration. 'I will have my revenge, Lord Garmadon.'

Mezmo very quickly noticed that Garmadon was leading the Black Bounty in the opposite direction of the Ninja. "Your eminence, excuse my ignorance, but why is it we fly in the opposite direction of the ninja, when you have the Golden Weapons in your possession?"

Garmadon turned around and told him, "Because they have my son, and it is written that he will one day defeat me. What good would turning Ninjago into my own image be when that victory would be fleeting?"

Chokun then suggested, "Then we destroy Lloyd."

Garmadon, growling n his growing anger, shouted, "Lock him in the brig!" Mezmo took Chokun away to the brig. "No one will touch my son. But by getting rid of Sensei Wu and those pesky ninja, Lloyd will never reach his full potential. The prophecy will never be fulfilled, and Ninjago will be mine...forever!"

Fang-Suei, still confused, asked, "Uh, but why are we flying away?"

"Because we are flying to the Golden Peaks, birthplace of the Golden Weapons. Even they have secrets yet to be unlocked. And once I uncover their full potential, nothing will stand in our way." Garmadon punched it, making the Black Bounty go faster.

Back in Ninjago, Patty Keys is showing them a worn-down apartment. The apartment was in a rundown hybrid neighborhood. The apartment mainly had hybrids living in them and some humans who didn't earn much money.

"This one-bedroom, one-half-bath is a cozy dream. Who needs extras when everything is in arm's reach? Now, wait until you see the lighting." Patty tried to Turn on the light, but the bulb flickered, burned out, and fell to the ground. "Uh, who needs lights when you have this view? Heh." After Patty opened the window blinds, a brick wall was shown instead of a nice view.

Lloyd sniffed the area and he got a bad smell. "Uh, why do I smell old people?"

Annoyed, Patty told him, "Look, doll. I'm trying to work around your budget. This is all you can afford. Plus, most apartments that you can afford won't take hybrids in as guests."

Zane's ears went down guiltily but this was expected. He knew that many humans still didn't accept hybrids but that didn't mean it didn't hurt any less.

"Uh, this looks...promising. Remember, guys, Sensei told us our main objective is to train Lloyd, not kick our feet up in some swanky suite. If this is all we can afford, this is all we can afford," Cole told them.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, let's not rush into any decision. I mean, if it's really all about Lloyd, don't we need to live in some place that'll make training easier?" Jay asked, not wanting to live in the run-down apartment and thinking of training Lloyd.

Kai, agreeing with Jay said, "Yeah, Jay's right. If we have to get Lloyd ready to save Ninjago from his father, shouldn't he at least have his own room?"

"Technically, that does not matter, he only..." Kai gently punches Zane to quiet him down.

Jay turned back to Patty and then said, "We're only thinking about the children, hehe."

Patty thought to herself for a moment, then said, "I do have another property that you'll just love."

Patty brought the Ninja to a fancy room atop a skyscraper.

"Whoa!" Everyone was in awe of the room since none of them had ever seen anything this fancy.

"Oh, man."

"Now, this is the eight-bedroom Hero Suite. Floor-to-ceiling windows, digital wall television, state-of-the-art game console..."

"Uh, it seems a little out of our price range," Cole brought up, knowing that they didn't have the money for it.

Patty turned back to them and said, "Oh, sure it costs a little more, but you deserve it. I forgot to mention, there's also a Dragon keep on the roof."

"Nice," Jay commented as the Ultra Dragon flew around the skyscraper. "Maybe we can get a hero discount. After all, we are the ninja who saved the city," Jay suggested as they walked further into the room.

"I thought Lord Garmadon saved the city," Patty said remembering the battle against the Great Devourer.

Jay crossed his arms and scoffed. "We could get day jobs to pay for the extra expenses," Kai suggested.

"I am not sure. I know we always said we could use a little more responsibility," Zane said. 'However, jobs are hard to find for hybrids. Many don't pay well, I guess I could disguise myself as a human.'

"But we have to train Lloyd," Kai said, knowing that they also had their other job to do.

"Did I mention the in-house training facility?" Patty pushed a button, revealing a training facility, like the one that was on the Bounty.

"We'll take it!"

Later that day, the Ninja looked for jobs across Ninjago. Jay found a job as a pizza delivery man, Cole became a bank security guard, Zane found a job as a chef, but he had to disguise himself as a human, and Kai became a party entertainer.

"If you're late, no tip."

Throughout the day, Jay was delivering pizzas and getting tips for the customers for delivering them on time.

Cole stopped a bank robbery by tackling a robber. He gave the money back to the bank owner who didn't give him a tip.

Zane carefully suited up in his human appearance. He arrived at his new job and he quickly became a popular chef with his speed and his delicious meals.

Kai found a party that wanted a ninja to entertain them so he circled the address, put his hood up, then rant o the party. Kai knocked on the door and a mother answered the door there were many children excited to see him.

The ninja filled a jar with their tips and paychecks. A red line on the jar was visible indicating the amount of money needed to pay off their first month's rent.

Meanwhile, Lloyd was watching from the training room. He was waiting for the others to start training him but they barely paid attention to him.

Later that week, Jay brought more pizzas out but this time he didn't get a tip. 'Man, no tip this time. Bummer.'

Cole was outside the bank and saw an old woman trying to cross the street. 'Maybe she needs help.' Cole ran to help her but before he could help her, the woman hit him with his purse. The bank manager shook his head and Cole looked at the floor in disappointment. 'Man, this is going to affect my pay.'

Zane could tell that the customers in front of him were bored so he did a trick with the food and then quickly got it to the customers. They applauded his trick. 'Hopefully, this gets me a good tip.

Kai was at another birthday party and the kids were jumping on his stomach. The other children in the background were cheering on their friend.

That evening, the Ninja were exhausted from their jobs. Cole had to soak his feet in an ice bath just to relieve the pain.

Lloyd, meanwhile, was training himself. He hit a punching bag, but it swung back on him and knocked him over.

"My feet... I can't feel my feet," Cole complained.

Kai flopped onto the couch with bruises and scraps on his face. Dirt even littered his ninja outfit. "There was so many of them. And they wouldn't stop." Kai sounded completely exhausted.

Zane's tail was on the ground. He didn't even have the energy to lift it. His hair, ears, and tail fur, were covered in sweat. He was trying to brush his ears and hair to make them look better. "I have never been so hot in my life. Keeping up a human disguise is exhausting. My entire tail is covered in sweat and it's going to take forever to get the fur back to normal.

Jay was laying on the floor exhausted but still trying to play video games. "I don't even have enough energy to play video games." After failing to grab the controller, Jay sighed in defeat and fell back to the ground.

Lloyd walked out of the training room and said, "Oh, but I thought you were going to train me when you got home."

"Sorry, champ, but we can't until we make rent. How close are we, Jay?" Cole said feeling sorry for Lloyd but he also knew that he had a job to do.

Jay crawled over to the jay and shook it. "Huh, is this jar getting bigger? We're not even close!"

Zane moved on to brushing his tail and told the others, "And our rent is due tomorrow."

"I can pull a double shift," Cole told them.

"And I can do overtime," Zane said, as he continued to brush his tail.

"Maybe, I can sling a few more pizza pies," Jay said as he managed to stand up.

"And maybe I can make a little extra if I do the human piñata." Everyone looked at Kai mortified by what he said. "Ugh, don't ask."

"Great, then our priorities are set. Tomorrow.. we make rent," Cole said, happy that they all had a plan for them to make rent.

"And uh, what about me?"

"How about you help out and fetch me some more ice, huh?"

At the abandoned subway, the Generals were planning to kidnap Lloyd to get their tribes back.

"Our fellow Serpentine follow Garmadon. We're going to have to do something truly diabolical if we're going to earn their respect to win them back. Let's brainstorm ideas on how we can do that," Skales told the other generals.

Skalidor then suggested, "Release the Devourer!"

"No, you idiot. We've already done that."

Acidicus suggested, "Release the swarm of evil bees."

Skales facepalmed himself. "Ugh, where would we even get evil bees?"

Fangtom then said, "I don't hear you offering any ideas."

Skales groaned. 'I'm surrounded by idiots.'

Jay ran to his boss to pick up the next set of pizzas for him to deliver.

"Pizza delivery. 21st and Union. Get it there in time, or else it's on you."

"Uh, how much time is left?"

"Five minutes."

"But I'll never get across town in five minutes."

"Then I guess it comes out of your pocket. Now get going!"

Jay ran to his bike and drove as fast as he could through traffic to get to his destination. A tanker was driving across the street and Jay screamed as he flew past it. He didn't have time to stop. "Oh, no. Aah! Aah!" Jay slid under the tanker, he managed to get away without a scratch. 'Man, these people better tip well!'

"Help! Help!"

"Huh?" In one of Jay's side mirrors, he could see a woman being mugged by three men in an alley.

The three muggers laughed as they dragged the woman into the alley.

"Help!"

Jay looked at his watch. 'I can stop them and deliver this pizza on time.' Jay drove into the alley and asked, "What's going on?"

"Mind your own business, ninja."

Jay refused to back down. "No way."

"It's three blades against none." The second mugger let the woman go and brandished his knife. Thinking it would scare Jay off.

'Easy.' Jay drove at them without hesitation and the three muggers ran away in free. Jay drove up the wall and landed in front of the muggers. "Blind alley, guys." The muggers ran in the opposite direction and Jay drove at them once more. He jumped in the air with his bike and landed on the muggers knocking them out. "BONSAI!"

"Thank you..." Jay handed the woman her purse and she took it back, thankful for Jay saving her. "...pizza ninja."

Jay arrived at 21st and Union, but it was empty.

Jay looked around and saw nothing except a man taking a casual walk. "Uh, isn't this 21st and Union?"

"Sure is, but there hasn't been anything built here in ages."

"Hmm." Jay looked at the fenced area with nothing around it and took his pizza out. "Ugh." Jay groaned to himself. 'This better not be a prank. I've already lost enough money.' Jay got off his back, took the pizza off, and started looking around. "Hello? Anyone here?"

From an open sewer, Jay could hear Skales' voice echoing. "So, after you rob the bank, we embark on phase two. Ingenious!"

"But boss, when are we going to get pizza? I'm hungry."

"Rob the bank?"

Acidicus grabbed Jay from behind which made him startled enough to drop the boxes into the manhole.

"Oh, pizza!"

Acidicus, while Skales was talking, said, "Uh, uh, uh. Where do you think you're going? We haven't given you your tip."

The Generals left on a train engine but before they left, they tied Jay up in the abandoned train station.

"Oh, come on, Jay. You gotta warn the others. You can figure a way out of this." Jay grunted as he tried to escape but he failed. "Okay, maybe not." Jay looked at the map. It showed the Serpentine's trail that lead to the bank. "So that's the Serpentine master plan. Wicked!" Jay stood up and started to hop in the direction of the bank. "Guys, I'm coming! Ugh, hopefully, Cole can stop the bank robbery."

At the bank, Cole was sleeping on the job. His boss came out to check on him. "Everything okay?"

Cole woke up just in the nick of time and said quickly, "Aah! Nothing out of the ordinary, boss."

"Thanks for taking the double shift."

"My pleasure." His boss headed inside, trusting Cole with his bank. "And now..." Cole yawned and prepared to get some more sleep. "...for a little more beauty rest." Cole fell back to sleep and snored the day away.

Meanwhile, Fangtom, Acidicus, and Skalidor tunneled into the bank, which set off the alarms. Cole woke up startled at the sounds of the alarm. "Aah!"

Acidicus told to others, "Take it all!" Cole ran inside the bank to stop the ongoing robbery.

Fangtom asked, "Shouldn't we wait for Skales?"

"No, you fool. He's carrying out the rest of the mission, remember?" Acidicus told them as he started to grab the money.

"Oh, yeah."

"Let's get out of here," Acidicus told them as they all grabbed a bag of money and jump through the hole they came from. Cole came in too late since now all the money was gone and all that was left was the hole in the floor.

"Huh?"

Cole could hear Acidicus's voice from below. "Let's take the subway."

"Subway?"

At a birthday party, Kai popped a balloon he was blowing up. Kai soon saw multiple police cars driving toward the bank.

"Trouble? Sounds like they need me." Kai tried to leave but he was quickly stopped by the mom.

"Not so fast. I still have you for another hour."

Kai was desperate, he needed to help Cole and other people. "Uh, but the bank. People are in danger."

"Not until my son is done playing." The mother turned and pointed to her son but the moment she turned back to Kai, he had escaped leaving her with the balloons. "Huh. You're fired!"

Zane is working but he could hear his customers talking about the robbery.

"It's true, at the bank. I hear they stole all that money, and no one's doing anything about it." Without paying attention, Zane accidentally dropped an egg on a kid's head, who started to cry.

"Uh, I'm… I'm sorry."

"You're fired!"

Zane apologized again, this time, his hat, concealing his ears, fell off, revealing his hybrid status.

"A hybrid! Get out! Hybrids aren't allowed in my restaurant!" Without another word, Zane ran out to help stop the robbery.

'I forgot to conceal my ears this morning. It doesn't matter anymore. I need to help Cole stop the robbery.'

At the bank, Cole was trying to convince his boss to let him keep the job when Kai and Zane arrived. At this point, Zane removed his human disguise and opted to show his hybrid features. It made him uncomfortable to be disguised as a human."I'll make it up to you, I swear."

"Hmmm, no. Why don't you go home and get a good night's rest, and go ahead and sleep in? In fact, sleep in all day for all I care, because YOU'RE FIRED!"

Disappointed, Kai said, "Ugh, looks like we're all in the same boat."

"Eh, that's okay. I hated that job anyway. Let's go. They're getting away."

"Which way did they go?" Kai asked.

"I overheard them saying something about the subway."

"Good call. Let's go!" Zane said agreeing with his friends.

"Ninja, go!" Using their spinjitzu, Cole, Kai, and Zane suited up and ran in the direction of the fleeing Serpentine.

"Has anyone seen Jay?"

Jay was still hopping along the train tracks, trying to reach the bank. "Hello? Anyone? Boy, I think I may have picked the wrong track. I hope I see someone soon." Jay continued to hop along, trying to reach the others. 'Man, I hope Cole and the others stopped the bank robbery.'

Cole, Kai, and Zane arrived at the subway station, waiting for the train to come through. The moment they saw the train, they prepared to jump. With precise timing, the three ninja jumped on the train, exactly where Acidicus, Skalidor, and Fangtom were.

Acidicus noticed it immediately, "Sounds like we have company, boys."

"But I only heard three. Aren't there four?"

"No, stupid," Fangtom's high-pitched head told him.

"We caught one of them," Fangtom's deep-voiced head finished.

Cole tried to find a way inside the train as they were crawling across the top of the train but had no luck. Ugh, isn't there an easier way to get inside?"

"Not without a ticket." Kai was grabbed by Skalidor who made a hole in the train. "Huh? Aargh!"

"What?" Cole said, shocked by what happened in just a few seconds.

"I believe Kai just found it."

"Snow leopard hybrids first."

"Oh, you are such a gentleman."

Cole and Zane jumped into the train with Kai trapped in Skalidor's grip.

"Let me go, snake!"

"Huh?"

"Welcome to the part..." Kai punched Skalidor to try to get him to release him but it didn't work.

"Care for a drink?" Acidicus spat his venom at the duo but Cole pulled Zane out of the way by pulling his tail.

"Ugh!"

"Sorry about that," Cole apologized knowing that Zane didn't like people pulling, stepping, or even touching his tail. Even though Zane trusted them, he had trauma from people hurting him by pulling his tail.

"That's quite alright. You wanted to protect me from the venom attack."

Fangtom hit Zane with his staff. "Hahaha."

"But that stings a little. Let me have this dance, snake." Zane stood up and grabbed Fangtom and threw him to the ground.

"One down, two to go," Cole said then Fangtom punched him and tried to bite him.

"These Serpentine are a lot harder to defeat without our weapons," Kai noted.

"Just keep fighting. We not gonna let these fools get away with this."

"Get away? We aren't trying to get away. We're just trying to distract you long enough so that Skales can kidnap Lloyd," Fangtom's deep-voiced head told them.

"What?!" Kai said shocked.

"We could care less about the money. We just wanted the boy. Who's the fool, now?" Fangtom's high-pitched head told them. All the general laughed evilly knowing that the Ninja would not make it back to Lloyd in time.

Back at the suite, Lloyd was playing a video game. "Whoa. Ha! Haha. Ugh!" Unbeknownst to Lloyd, Skales was slowly lowing himself on the window cleaner's ramp to their floor. Within the reflection of the TV, Lloyd could see Skales coming down to his level. "Wha...?!" Lloyd turned to the window and saw Skales as the ramp stopped.

Skales knocked on the window and then said, "Hello, little boy."

"Help, me!" Lloyd ran away as fast as he could to the entrance of their apartment. Lloyd entered the code to leave but the door didn't open. "Door is locked."

"Ugh, I know! I want it open!" As Skales was using his staff to cut the window so he could come inside. Eventually, Skales broke the window and came inside. Lloyd turned around after Skales came in. "What do you want with me?"

"You seem to be the only thing your father cares about. But with you in my hostage, he'll have no other choice but to let me lead the Serpentine!"

Lloyd screamed in fear. He couldn't leave, the others were gone, and his father had left Ninjago. "Let's train."

From the other side, Nya and Sensei Wu were outside and Wu knocked on the door, after hearing Lloyd scream. "Hello? What's going on in there?"

"Help!"

Back at the train, the Ninja are still fighting the Serpentine generals. Acidicus tried to spray Zane again but he dodged the attack. Zane ran up the wall, jumped over Acidicus then punched him to the ground.

"We have to save Lloyd," Cole told the others as he blocked an attack from Fangtom. Fangtom tackled Cole to the ground and tried to bite him but kept failing as Cole kept him back.

"Give me a weapon and I'll take care of these snakes," Kai told him as he tried to get out of the grip of Skalidor.

Zane looked around and got an idea. "Who needs weapons when you can make your own?" Zane climbed up a pole, took it down, and took the circular piece holding it then used it as a shuriken on Skalidor. The attack forced Skalidor to release Kai.

"Ha! Smart thinking, Zane! Here, Kai!" Cole took a pipe from the floor and threw it at Kai.

Skalidor tried to flee but Kai hit him which slammed him into the wall. Kai got closer to Skalidor ready for his next attack. Skalidor got up and hugged the wall. "Unh! Uh, uh, uh...this was all a big misunderstanding."

"Oh, really"

Cole, who was looking out the window could see a blue dot in the distance. "Guys, I think I found Jay."

Jay, who had been hopping forward for what feels like hours, finally saw a light ahead of him. "Ugh, finally. The way out, hehe." Cole and Zane ran to the front train car to stop the train before it could hit Jay. Jay saw that the light was coming closer to him. Jay screamed in fear and start to hop away from the oncoming train. "Not good, not good, not good!"

Cole looked around and saw no one in the front car after he removed his hood. "Where's the driver?"

Zane took off his hood and then said, "The train appears to be automatically controlled."

Jay tried to hop faster but the train kept getting closer and closer. "Oh, no. Oh, no. Aah!"

"So it's not gonna stop?" Cole said, fearing for Jay's life.

"Aargh!" Jay scream as he saw the train was just a few hundred feet behind him.

Zane pulled on the brakes. However, Cole noticed that the train was still moving at the same speed. "It's not slowing down!" Cole helped Zane apply the brakes, but it was not stopping.

Back with the Serpentine Generals and Kai, Acidicus told Kai, "I'm sure they could use your help, but what do I know?"

"Ugh, we're not strong enough!" Kai could hear Zane scream from a distance.

Knowing that his friends are more important than the fight in front of him, Kai shouted, "I'm coming!'

Kai dropped the pipe and ran to help Cole and Zane while the Generals escaped into the hole above them.

Jay fell over, looked back, and gasped. He closed his eyes, waiting for the inevitable The train was getting just a hundred feet away from him.

Kai arrived with his hood off and Cole shouted, "Together!"

The three pulled brakes and the train stopped just at Jay's feet. The Generals fell over the end of the train, and they quickly fled the scene, knowing that their work was done.

"Haha! Hey, there you guys are! Ugh. Um, I could use a little hand here, hehe." The Ninja smiled, happy to know that Jay was okay.

The Ninja ran as fast as they could back to their apartment, hoping they weren't too late to save Lloyd.

"Lloyd?"

Zane sniffed the air of the apartment. "I can tell that Skales and Lloyd were here. They haven't been here in a while."

"Oh, we shouldn't have left him," Kai said, knowing that they messed up.

"We shouldn't have taken those jobs in the first place. What were we thinking? Losing Lloyd was by far our greatest loss," Cole said after he looked through the training room for Lloyd but he couldn't find him.

"But it could be your greatest lesson." The Ninja turned to the entrance and saw Sensei Wu and Lloyd, safe and sound.

"Lloyd!"

"You're okay!" Kai said relieved.

"I wasn't going to be until Nya and Sensei showed up at the last moment."

"I go away for a week and everything falls apart," Nya told them, not surprised that things went wrong.

"I guess you could say we learned we don't need all the fancy stuff. We just need each other," Kai told them with the others nodding in agreement.

"You want us to help you clean up?" Sensei Wu asked.

"Well, we are a team," Kai told him.

"Nya, I think it's time for another road trip."

"Hold on, I got a better idea." Later, the Ninja called Penny and asked to be moved back into the first apartment she offered them. "It's not much, but this one-bedroom, one-half-bath is a cozy dream. Who needs extras when everything is within arm's reach?"

Lloyd accidentally hit Jay with a chair which made him drop the box he and Kai were carrying on Kai's foot.

"Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow, ow!"

"Ha, feels like home to me. Hey, at least we get to stay in Ninjago City for a little while," Jay said, looking on the bright side of things.

Zane nodded in agreement. "And now without the distractions, we can put all of our energy into training Lloyd."

Lloyd ran into Zane with the chair. "Who's there?" Lloyd said fearfully but instead of responding, Zane helped him carry the chair.

"I know the Serpentine Generals got away, but you never told us: whatever happened to Skales?" Kai asked, wondering what happened to the evil snake.

"Oh, he found a home, too. But it's not quite as roomy as here."

Skales is locked up in prison with the key thrown away.

"Mark my words: THIS WON'T BE THE LAST YOU SEE OF ME!!!"

"Lights out!"

"Oh, very funny! You'll rue the day you made a fool of me!" The lights in Skales jail cell turned off with the guard unfazed by Skales threat.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah."

At the Golden Peaks, Garmadon's plan was commencing. He was going to combine the Golden Weapons into one Mega Weapon.

"The Golden Peaks, birthplace of the Golden Weapons." Lord Garmadon stood at the edge with the Golden Weapons golden bubbles that emerged from the Golden Peaks. The golden bubbles took the weapons from Garmadon, causing the bubble to glow brights and larger. "Yes, it's working." A bright light blinded the Serpentine and Lord Garmadon upon opening their eyes, one weapon emerged from the bubbles. It was the Mega Weapon. Lord Garmadon smiled evilly as he reached out and grabbed the Mega Weapon. Lord Garmadon started to groan in pain with the Mega Weapon in his grasp.

"Your eminence, are you okay?" Lasha, a Vemonari, asked.

Lord Garmadon looked at the Serpentine and smiled evilly. "Yes. In fact, I've never felt more powerful! Now, to destroy the Ninja...once and for all!" He laughed evilly and the laugh echoed to the Ninja's apartment as they were sleeping. Kai was sleeping on a cot, Jay was on a top bunk bed and Zane was curled up in a ball like a cat on the bottom bunk bed. Cole was sleeping on a blanket on the floor with Nya and Lloyd in opposite corners of the room. Sensei Wu was meditating before faintly hearing it as the candle blew out.

"I fear there is a great disturbance in the force."

Season 2 is here! So, before I get ready for the next episode, I need to ask, should Dareth be a hybrid? I've been thinking about making him a squirrel hybrid because it would be funny but I'm not sure. I know I want one of his students to be a hybrid since he's accepting like that. But I want y'all opinion. Should Dareth be a hybrid? Let me know.

Thanks for reading! See Y'all next time!
