Nature is full of opposites.

There is push and pull.

Light and darkness.

Yin and yang.

Creation

and

Destruction.

Two aspects of each other that should naturally never be combined and yet complement each other beautifully.

But nature is a finicky thing, sometime's a miracle can happen that makes the impossible possible.

One example of this is when the Demon Bull King somehow was able to convince a celestial maiden to become their wife.

An even greater example of this is when the couple, against all odds was able to have a child. Their opposing nature should have clashed and a result should have destroyed any possibility of a new life being born.

A child born from a demon king and celestial maident should not exist.

He was a small baby with a face that bore a strong resemblance to their mother but with the claws, fangs, and a tail from their father.

Some would call him a miracle and others a monstrosity.

And in a sense they both would be correct, for you see the child was born with two opposing natures.

The child known as "Red Son" was actually two parts of one being.

In the body of the "Red Son" was the Fire and the Boy.

The Fire resembled their father. They are a flame that could not be extinguished, hotter than anything the celestial or demonic realms. The Fire fueled their instincts, it was their strength, and it wanted nothing more than to keep burning.

The Boy on the other hand took after his mother's celestial heritage. The Boy was inquisitive, intelligent, and enjoyed exploring the world. The Boy was their mind and would control their body, he used it to explore and learn more about the world.

There was an odd balance when it came to the Boy and the Fire as they shared their body. In a sense their relationship was rather symbiotic.

The Boy would fuel the Fire with their emotions since he couldn't wield the flames themselves.

The Boy was intelligent but without the Fire he would be no different from any other baby.

The Fire on the other hand, while they controlled their flames, could not learn or understand the world like the Boy did. Without the Boy it would be no different from a raging bull reacting to the world with their instincts alone

In the end the Fire and Boy understood that they needed each other to be Red Son.

They both enjoyed the praises from their parents when they saw their power. How Bába would puff his chest with pride and Mama would gently cup their face and coo praises at how powerful they would grow to become.

The Boy and the Fire enjoyed the peace, but things changed as they grew up

The Boy started to become more dependent on the Fire.

When the Boy would become angry he learned that the Fire would burn what angered them.

When the Boy became sad the Fire would burn whatever it was that saddened him.

When the Boy was in pain the Fire would burn everything around the boy to comfort and protect him.

The Boy learned that by burning things both him and the Fire would gain even more attention from their parents!

Not only that but their body would feel a rush of joy and excitement as the Fire would engulf their body into flames!

Although sometimes the Boy would become impatient if their parents didn't react or if the Fire didn't burn something quick enough.

Through an accident he learned that by punching himself he would not only bring out their flames faster but also would get more hugs from Máma and Bába!

(The Boy didn't care about the pain or the scars he now had on his face, it was quickly soothed by the Fire's warmth and encouragement!)

The Fire on the other hand was glad to burn whatever the Boy wished!

It loved how the Boy would laugh with them as their flames burned everything in sight.

It loved to play with their parents as they tried to extinguish their flames.

It loved how they and the Boy would make new games with the ashes around them after they finished burning everything.

Everything became a game but only the Boy and the Fire knew the rules!

But as time went on they grew older and stronger the Fire would slowly gain more control over their body.

In a sense it was only natural, they would have more fun if the Fire had more control of their body.

The Boy didn't mind since it loved his Fire and was happy to be wreathed in their flames.

And the Fire viewed it as taking more turns in their game with the boy. They just wanted to keep playing with the Boy as they burned everything around them.

They both would laugh as different creatures of all shapes and sizes would scream and run away.

Their Máma and Bába would become more creative in their games too! They kept trying new ways to keep their flames from spreading but Fire and Boy would always win and burn up everything!

Both the Boy and Fire were happy and wanted their games to go on forever.

Too bad their parents didn't seem to agree.

Today was an interesting day for Red Son, their Bába had taken them out of their home and brought them to a new place surrounded by glowing rocks with a bunch of weird looking creatures around them.

As Red Son was comfortably cradled in their Baba's hand the Boy began to study the other creatures in curiosity.

(Fire was perfectly happy just being held by Bába so it stayed quiet)

There were two human looking things one wearing a bunch of pink and the other had some pretty sounding stick.

There was a pink thing that smelled like something Bába would cook and eat.

There was a big blue thing that had some orange fur on its face.

A big scaly green thing that was even bigger then Bába!

And finally a weird orange furry thing that kept making funny faces at them,

(Their Bába would growl at the orange thing and hold them closer to their chest. Both the Boy and Fire basked in the attention and giggled at how silly the orange furry thing was.)

The things were talking to Bába and the Boy could barely understand what was going on but then the human thing with the stick pointed their hand at some space in between all the glowy rocks.

Their Bába then placed them down where the human thing with the stick pointed them at and rubbed their head with one of his big fluffy claws and started to coo at them.

"Don't worry son, Bába's not going to let anything happen to you."

(Both the Boy and Fire wondered why Bába looked so sad)

They both watched as Bába started to walk away from them and joined the other things that circled around them.

Red Son cooed and raised their hands to show they wanted to be lifted up again.

Only to be ignored

The Boy didn't like this, he was getting scared and when the stones around them glowed he felt himself start to cry but their Bába still ignored them!

Reacting and feeding on the Boy's fear the Fire took over.

For a few moments both the Boy and Fire felt their fear melt away as the flames engulfed their body.

The Fire started to laugh as the Boy felt their usual jolt of joy and excitement. The Boy then realized that Bába must be wanting to play a new game with the weird things!

It was the only thing that made sense!

(Their flames grew more and more as the Fire enjoyed their Boy's joy produced from his new understanding.)

But then the human thing with the pretty sounding stick did something and suddenly it wasn't fun anymore.

They stopped laughing.

All the Boy and Fire could feel was…..

Pain!

Pain!

Pain!

Pain!

It felt as if different parts of their body was benign pulled apart! Every fiber and muscle in their body stretched and burned! Things like their claws, fangs, and even their tail was being torn away like the Fire!

The Boy could only cry and whimper as he desperately tried to keep hold of his beloved Fire who was being torn away from him.

The Fire screamed as it felt itself being torn apart piece by piece!

It hurt so much! Why was Bába doing this to them!? It didn't understand!

The Fire held on to the Boy and their body with as much strength as possible.

But both the Boy and Fire noticed something.

The Fire kept its strength even as it was being torn apart but with each piece that was torn away from their body the Boy grew weaker and weaker.

In that moment both realized something as the first ring of the Samahdi fire was made.

The Fire could live without the Boy.

But the Boy would die without his Fire.

The Fire's desperation grew and they tried to scream out for Bába to stop!

For anyone of the thins to stop!

But none of them did!

Their Boy was going to die and they would be alone!

The Fire was Fire was angry!

The Fire was terrified!

The Boy was crying but still held on to the Fire as much as possible.

The Boy was scared and just wanted to forget all this! He justwanted Bába to take them home to Máma!

Then something happened.

The furry orange thing slipped.

The Fire an Boy had a brief moment of clarity.

The Fire realized that this might be its only chance to save the boy left a small portion of itself in the Boy before attacking the human with the stick thing that started all of their pain!

The Boy who realized that this might be the last time with his Fire pushed some of his mind. He hoped that maybe with this the Fire could learn to come back to him.

Both the Boy and the Fire cried out as the Fire failed in attacking the human.

The Boy started to lose conscious as he watched his beloved fire go into the green scaly thing and not come out.

The Fire cried and screamed as it was trapped within the dragon. Their body was falling with the Boy they could barely feel clinging to life! Their Boy wouldn't survive!

The Fire only felt a brief moment of relief seeing their Bába catch their Boy.

But then the green scaly thing and the other things started to move away.

Their Bába took their boy and a portion of them.

The pink human thing took another part of them and so did the orange furry thing and went away.

And all the Fire could do was silently cry in grief and rage as it was stuck inside the green scaly thing.

Trapped with only a small portion of the Boy to keep itself sane as the centuries passed it by.

Centuries and both the Fire and Boy grew up albeit in different ways.

The Boy after over 500 years forgot about his beloved Fire,

He attributed his constant feelings of loneliness to his father's imprisonment. He thought that he could just bring his father back then it would fill the void that was inside his chest.

He still felt joy and excitement whenever he used his flames, and sometimes if he started at his fire long enough his pain would be briefly replaced with a new sense of comfort and safety.

As for the Fire it took that tiny peace from the Boy and melded with it to try and compensate for its feelings of loneliness.

It knew the Boy was still alive and it was happy that he had survived.

The Fire would slowly burn the dragons from the inside out in the hopes of attaining freedom to get to the boy.

But as it learned through many failed attempts apparently instead of being released they would somehow get passed down to the each generation of dragon.

It wasn't all bad though the Fire learned how the dragons loved, protected, fought for one another.

The Fire learned to be vigilant and patiently wait for the perfect moment to escape.

So the Fire would continue to wait for centuries observing the lives and deaths of each dragon.

Patiently waiting for the day it could escape and once again be one with their Boy.

And one day it happened.
