"Oh yeah! I can get used to this!"

Morgana stretched and slouched back on his throne. He held his paws behind his head as he gazed around the large room he was in. It was filled with glistening, sparkling treasure. His eyes sparkled at the sight of al all the gold coins and colourful jewels before him. He could barely hide his joy that it was all his.

"T…T…Treaaaaaasssssssuuuuurrrrreeeee! Mrrrrreeeeeooooow!"

"Master Morgana!"

Morgana snapped out of his crazy state upon hearing him being address. His furry gaze perked up to see his court jester approaching him. He stared towards them, taking in their brightly coloured clothing which were decorated with little bells.

"I come to entertain you, Your Excellency-" the jester began.

Morgana frowned and cracked a whip. "Not until you bow to me, Skull!"

"Yes, Sire!"

Standing in front of the small critter on the throne, Ruuji bowed humbly before him, the bells on his clothes jingling as he showed respect towards the cat who was clearly superior over him.

"That's better!" Morgana huffed. "Now come on then, Skull! Entertain me!"

Ryuji stood up straight again. He faced the creature who he had the difficult task of bringing laughter to.

"Why did the cat-" Ryuji began.

Morgana narrowed his eyes fiercely. "What have told you, Skull? Absolutely no cat jokes!"

"Sorry, Sire!" Ryuji quickly scrambled his brain to think of a new joke to his master. "Why did the Phantom Thieves cross the Palace?"

"I dunno," Morgana answered.

"To get to the other Treasure!"

Ryuji began to howl and cackle - while Morgana stayed silent. He frowned at the odd joke he'd just been told. It didn't make even the slightest bit of sense - and had completely failed to make him laugh.

It's time I stripped Skull of his job for which he is clearly not suited, Morgana thought, directing his unamused look towards Skull. Joker can take over as my jester. He'll surely live up to his title by telling good jokes. They couldn't be any worse than the awful ones which this moron tells me!

Ryuji stopped his hysterical laughter as he rubbed his eyes. "Was that good, Master Morgana?"

"No - but this is!"

With a craft smirk, Morgana pressed a hidden button on his throne - causing a trap door to open up below Ryuji's feet. The former jester yelled out as his disappeared into the floor to fall down into the underground dungeons of the Palace.

"Mrawhahaha!" Morgana snickered. "It's scary how good I am!"

"Oh, Master Morgana! I've come to feed you your dinner."

Morgana's triangular ears twitched upon hearing the enticing words which had been spoken to him. He turned to see a bowl of sushi was being held out towards his throne. His mouth hung open hungrily as he gazed with wide eyes at the servant who had come to bring him his meal.

"Oh yes!" he purred. "Feed me, Panther!"

Anne smiled as she carried the bowl in her hands towards the cat. Morgana watched her from his throne, thinking how good his nine lives were. He was living in a big Palace that was filled with amazing treasure - and he had a beautiful servant who was always willing to feed him really good sushi. What could be better?

Stopping before the throne, Ann curtsied to Morgana. She offered the bowl out towards him, positioning it below his furry face that was filled with joy.

"Here you go, Master Morgana," she said softly. "Enjoy your dinner."

"Don't mind if I do, Panther!"

Morgana licked his smiling lips, closed his shimmering blue eyes before plunging his head down towards the contents of the bowl.

THUD!

Morgana yelped out his face slammed against something solid. He opened his eyes - which instantly widened over what he saw.

"No way!" Morgana cried. "For real?"

Instead of being in a great Palace, he was in Joker's bedroom above Cafe LeBlanć. He had fallen off the bed to land face down on the bare wooden floor. The cat picked himself up as he looked around in dismay. There was no Ann, no Treasure and no sushi to be found in the tiny room where he resided the leader of the Phantom Thieves.

"It was all a dream!" Morgana wailed. "My Palace! My Treasure! My Panther! They're all gone!"

The feline's ears and whiskers drooped. He was disappointed to have woken from his fantasy of being the royal ruler of a Palace. In his furry form, it was the only chance he had of having lots of Treasure and Anne's undivided affection. He jumped back onto the bed and gazed through the window. The moon in the night sky was sending its silver light through the glass to shine down onto the cat.

"One day, my dream will come true!" Morgana told himself. "One day, I'll be living in the Palace I deserve! One day, people will stop treating me like a cat and start treating me like a king! One day, I'll have Lady Ann and lots of Treasure all to myself! One day-"

"Morgana, be quiet!" Joker cut in as he sat up in his bed, having been stirred from his sleep by his furry friend's dramatic declarations. "It's been a busy day for the Phantom Thieves - and you go and wake me up by rambling away!"

"Shut up, Joker!" Morgana demanded rudely. "Go to sleep!"
