Hey Hoshiko, you never said what you wanted to be." Shock spoke to the blue haired girl, who flipped her hair.

"I'm going to be the commander, obviously. You'll all listen to me."

Shock scoffed at her, poking her with a small metal pole that appeared in his hand. "Yeah right, like I'd ever listen to someone with a sludge quirk."

Micas and Asahi was right behind the two, both of them watching their friends. "Neither of you are going to succeed with that attitude. We are all supposed to work together in the army, not separately." Micas scolded the two. Asahi chuckled at the bickering, shaking his head.

"How about bowling? We haven't bowled since Micas 12th birthday." Asahi suggested.

"That's because Shock is a sore loser." Hoshiko stated with a smirk.

"I am not!" Shock growled, starting another bickering.

Asahi went over to separate the two of them. "Come on guys, no fighting. Let's just have fun, deal?" He smiled at the two, this was normal in the group, Asahi always breaking the two up, keeping the peace in the group.

"Fine, but I get to go first!" Shock begrudgingly agreed.

"Doesn't matter to me who goes first." Hoshiko agreed.

With peace restored, the four friends headed for the bowling alley, Asahi having his arm around both Shock and Hoshiko's shoulders. The trip wasn't long and the four had fun bowling, with Shock and Hoshiko having a competitive game between the two.

"Think those two will ever get along?" Asahi was sitting by the blue haired male, arm on the back of the chair, watching the two trip the other up.

"Nope, not even on their wedding day." Micas winced when Shock had a bowling ball fall on his foot.

"Maybe your right." Asahi couldn't help but agree, Shock and Hoshiko were always one upping the other.

"Have you told your parents?"

"Not yet, they want me to be in the army, I don't want to disappoint them…"

"But you don't want to be."

"I don't know what I want…I want to make them proud…but…"

"Your too nice for the army, maybe you could be a hero."

Asahi made a face at the suggestion. It was no surprise that Asahi's views on heros were mixed. While he did look up to Best Jeanist, the only heros around his town were traitors, which made the heroes on tv and the heroes here different. The face made Micas chuckle softly.

"Yeah, your right. You'd be better off as a civilian." Micas stood up to take his turn, leaving Asahi to think about what he said.

"Civilian…is that possible?"

The Next Morning…

"Good Morning Mom!" The silver haired male entered the kitchen, yawning.

"Good Morning, Sweety, did you have fun last night?" A red haired woman with green eyes appeared from the kitchen doorway, holding a book.

"Yeah, it was a good end to the school year. Where's dad?"

"He had a mission, he'll be back in a few days. Did you eat? Want some tea?"

Asahi shook his head, giving a smile. "I'm good, thanks. You didn't go with him on the mission?"

"Wasn't needed, Get ready after breakfast, you'll be joining me at the office." His mother spoke, ruffling his hair as she headed back in the kitchen, pouring herself a cup of tea.

"Yes mother."

He sighed softly, looking at his breakfast. Sitting down, he started to eat, listening as his mother was practicing her second language. She had been learning American, why, he didn't really know. She claimed it was in case she was ever sent there and Asahi didn't question it.

After breakfast, he got dressed for the day, wearing the suit his mother insisted he wear.

"You look just like your father! He wore this exact suit when we first met. He was so dashing." She fixed the crooked tie, smiling.

"There. Nervous? Don't be, you'll be excellent!"

She gave his cheek a pat before heading out, with Asahi following right behind.

"This will be a great opportunity for you, Sahi. Do well this summer and you may impress the boss. Imagine, starting your first year in a higher position then grunt. Gives me chills!"
