Late that evening, Luz was talking with Eda in the living room.
"I don't know, kid, telling your friends that you're a witch could be dangerous," said Eda while sitting on the couch as Luz paced back and forth before her.
"Didn't you try to convince me to rob a bank just last week?" asked Luz as she stopped in her tracks to look at the woman.
"But no one would have known that was you," said Eda.
"And it could have come back on Owl Girl who's already being looked into by the feds," said Luz.
"That's even more reason not to tell them then," said Eda.
"I don't like lying to them, Eda, if I'm going to call them my friends then I have to tell the truth, especially if I may get the chance to return home and may neve see them again," said Luz.
"Alright, if you want to do this then it's on you," said Eda while holding her hands up out of defeat. Suddenly, their attention was grabbed by a flash of light from the woods.
"That looked like when you showed up," said the older woman.
"Belos probably sent another creature," said Luz before changing into her Owl Girl outfit and summoning her staff to her.
"Hang on, I'll go with you," said Eda while grabbing a shotgun.
"It's near my home after all," she said. The two then headed out into the dark woods, the only light coming from Luz's light spell as they moved around.
"Looks like this is the area," said Owl Girl while looking at burn marks on the ground which was created from the portal opening up.
"Stop right there," came a voice from nearby as a red light appeared.
"Wait, I know that voice," said a stunned Luz.
"Hunter, is that you?!" she asked at the same time she removed her mask and made the light spell stronger so it was easier to see her by.
"Luz?" asked Hunter as he and Vee came into view.
"What is that thing?" asked Eda while looking at Vee who was in her Basilisk form. She was also aiming her gun at her out of fear.
"It's alright, they are my siblings," said Luz as she held her hand out.
"And I have a lot of questions for them," she said while going from surprised to angered in a heartbeat.
