Static Shockwave Season 01 Episode 03
We start off with Static fighting off some bikers that were turned into giant snake creatures with snakeheads for hands and questions "Yo, any of you guys know a dude named Ssserpenet from Bellwood?" though they only looked at him confused and then went back to attacking him "Well, guess not." He stated zapping the one that'd grabbed onto him and knocking them into one of the isles of the store.
He'd managed to take donw of the three and heard rattling so he'd turned above him and blasted at the one up on the light fixture that'd easily been defeated with the snake questioning "How did you know?"
"If it were a snake it would have bit you." Static stated in response shaking their tail making the rattle sound happen again. When the police showed up he'd then took off leaving them to cuff the snake guys and noticed the time racing off to somewhere fast on the Static Saucer.
We then see that he'd gone to a gymnasium and had his Dad looking at him mad stating "You're late. Virgil for weeks I've watched you become more and more irresponsible, and now you don't even have time for the community center?"
"Dad it's just.." Virgil spoke but couldn't come up with the right words and hung his head in shame. Sometime the next day Virgil was on the phone with Richie venting about it stating "I can't believe it, I go to school, get good grades, I'm even a superhero and all I get is the third degree."
"Hey V-Man listen your dad doesn't know about the hero thing so to him you have been acting like a total flake lately." Richie reminded him about that part on the other end of the line.
"Man, I'm going on patrol, maybe out there someone will apriciate me." Virgil then stated reaching into his backpack and pulling out his costume.
While out on patrol Static had found a ship was sinking and flew over trying to pull it back up but the ship was far too large for that. "No good, it's too big." He's stated before using his powers to carve out a square and laid it onto the water saying "Get on!" to the crew that were in the water and they'd done so, after which he towed htem back to shore.
They'd all started cheering which helped Static to feel better though a voice questions "What do you think you're doing?" and he'd turned to see someone behind him that'd been see through.
"I don't think we've been introduced." The hero spoke to the see through guy who'd looked angry about Static getting involved.
"Omnifarious." They'd answered back in an angry tone and a slight hiss to his words while clenching his fists looking mad. "It means many forms."
"I go to public school, latin is an elective." Static stated in response to what the guy had said about their name.
"Why did you help those people? They're gun smugglers that work for Alva." Omnivarious stated in response as the two had started to go around in circles.
"That doesn't mean we gotta let them drown." Static stated to him in response before questioning "You're telling me that you did this?"
"Uh huh." Omnifarious spoke becoming solid and then stating "This too." throwing a fireball at Static who'd used his electrokinesis to create a barrier that the flames hit against.
After they'd thrown a few more Static says "Alright that's enough." and throws a ball of electricity at him knoing the guy to the ground.
"You surprised me, but that won't be enough." They'd stated in response popping one of the bubbles and gaining the appearance of a musuclar tone being able to block Static's next attack with one hand.
The two had gotten to fighting and Static had finally reconized them stating "I know you, you're Alva's son."
"You have me at a disadvantage, at least for now." Alva's son stated popping another of the bubbles and his eyes had glowing stating "Now we're even. I can see through your mask, but I can't quite place where we've met before."
"Man, before we fight again I want a written list of all your powers.. And maybe a Study Guide." Static answered back while getting up and backing away from them.
"Why would I wanna fight you again, my work here is done." Omnifarious stated to him gesturing to the tip of the boat going underwater. He'd then flown off leaving the hero behind in the process.
"That went well.." Static stated with a sigh about what had gone down already watching the last of the boat sink under the water.
We then moved to later on when Virgil was working on something that looked like school work, but at the same time like something not even from earth and his dad walks over asking "You got a minute?"
"Sure Pops, what's up?" Virgil answered back while looking as though he was trying to solve some sort of problem.
"I've been trying to figure out what's wrong with you lately." His dad, who was named Robert, had stated while sitting down on the couch next to him.
"Nothing's wrong Pops, I just got a lot of responsibility that's all." Virgil then answered back about being busy with stuff.
"Why don't you tell me about this responsibility." His dad then spoke wanting to know more about what his son had been up to.
"Well, stuff like this for starters." Was the response as he'd gestured to the books and papers in front of him.
"What is all this stuff Virgil?" His Pops questioned not able to make heads or tails of what was in front of him.
"It's a translation guide, the tests won't be in enlgish so I'm getting a jump on everything while I can. Gonna try to join the Plumbers." Was the answer that his son had given him about what he was studdying.
"Plumbers, you mean like those guys in the white spacesuits that act as cops right?" Richard questioned if that was what he was talking about.
His son nodded and was about to say more when the phone rang and so he'd run off to answer it leaving the study guide where it was as Mr. Hawkins scratched his head not being able to read any of it as it just appeared like gibberish to him.
We then see Virgil on the phone with Richie stating "He's wrecking his dad's stuff. It just doesn't make any sense."
"Well, not to you maybe." Richie stated in response about it with a sigh and Virgil got the message.
"Guess you're right, even with Pops grilling me lately I couldn't imagine doing anything like that to him." He'd answered back laying flat on his back on his bed with a sigh of his own. "Hold up, got another call coming in." He'd then stated pushing a button to see who was on the other line asking "Hello?"
Omnifariou was on the other end of the line stating "I knew I'd seen you before.. Virgil. So listen up, you stay outta my way or your secret identity is history." before then hanging up on him.
We then cut to later as they'd met up at the abandoned gas station hang out and Richie had something new for him. "Check it out, I call them ZapCaps." The blond stated to his superhero friend handing him one of them "Give it some juice then press the button and throw it."
Static does what Richie had said and the capsule exploded in a burst of electricity. "Richie, you know I can do that already without the ZapCaps right?" he'd reminded them after seeing what it could do.
"Bro, you're missing the big picture, if you're running low on juice you've got a couple of backup charges with you, along with being able to attack with in a tight spot. Plus, they're insulated meaning they won't short if they get wet." Richie then explained about being able to use them as backup charges if he needed.
"Hm.. ya that would be useful, now what do you about Alva Junior?" Static stated in response putting some in his jacket after giving them some juice.
"Well he did say he wouldn't tell if you left him alone right?" Richie then questioned about what Edwin had stated to them.
"Can't do that, he's out of control. But if my Pops is gonna find out from anyone it's gonna be me." Static stated giving the static saucer some juice and preparing to head off adding on "But he won't be the only father in for a shock tonight."
We then cut to Alva Sr. asleep in his rather large bed and we hear a voice saying "Can I get the lights for you?" waking him up and making the man jut up to see waht was going on.
"What the, Static? Where's my men?" Alva questioned seeing the hero there floating on his Satic Saucer.
"Outside sleeping, you gotta get better help." Answered the hero as he floated over towards them and the older man tried to push a button for help. "I don't think that'll work without this." he'd added dropping a bunch of wires.
"What do you want?" The elder questioned as Static was floating at the foot of his bed not liking the intrusion.
"Believe it or not, I'm here to help you. It's about Omnifarious." Static stated to him floating so that they were being closer face to face.
"What about him?" Alva then questioned about what's going on wanting to hear what he'd have to say about that.
"He's your son Edwin." The Electrokinetic hero answered back about the troublemaker in question at the moment.
"My son? Don't be rediculous." Alva stated getting up and putting a robe on over his pajamas adding "Just what kind of Scam are you trying to pull?"
"You don't believe me? Check out your labs, it's the least you could do." Static stated pointing his index finger in front of Alva's face.
We then move to sometime later and see Virgil up on the roof with his dad and the former stating "Look I know I've been flakey lately, but there's a reason for that. Besides just the studying."
"Virgil you don't have to go into it, I trust you son. You've never gven me a reason not to." Richard answered back to his son "I know you miss your mother, but you've been handling it better than I have. I know I don't say it enough but I'm proud of you son." followed by the two sharing a hug and then went o head back downstairs vanishing out of sight.
Virgil was about to say something but noticed a bunch of explosions and suited up to go find out what was going on now flying fast over to where it was happening he'd seen Ediwn fighting alongside a bunch of green flying jet mech suit htings.
"Yo, you gotta call them off!" Static spoke to Alva Sr. who'd tried to get through to them calling off the attack but was ignored and they all began to try to attack Edwin at once.
"I can't stop them, can you?" Avla questioned Static who'd nodded and flown over towards Edwin.
"Well here goes nothing." The hero spoke as he'd began to charge up a massive burst of energy to take them down.
He'd unleashing it all at once and creating an EMP that'd managed to take out the power on multiple buildings and all the mechs while he was at it before slumping onto the Staic Saucer and being flown over to the building that Alva Sr. was on and dropped onto it.
"Electro Magnetic Pulse?" The elder questioned walking over to where Static had dropped down onto.
"Ya, knocks out electrical devices." Static answered back slowly getting himself up and adding "What were you thinking, they could have killed him."
Omnifarious had swooped down and landed in front of the two stating "All he was thinking about was protecting his company. You never cared about me, all you care about is your image and your precious legacy. You want a monument, I'll give you a mountain of rubble when I bring this place down no matter what it takes." Edwin stated taking off his belt and popping all the different gas bubbles at once.
The bubbles had been causing the changes too fast and they couldn't be controlled causing him to eventually be turned to stone with Alva Sr. looking upset and worried surprisingly questioning "Is, he alive?" in an actually worried and sorrowful tone.
"I dunno." Static answered back saddened by what happened. "I never should have told you, but I thought a father could work things out with his son, even you." He'd then made the Static Saucer fly over to him stepping onto it and flying off turning back saying "Guess not everyone is as lucky as me."
