Static Shockwave Season 01 Episode 05
We see Static flying around on his Static Saucer in a new outfit similar to the old one except the jacket was black and blue with yellow on the inside of the hood, he also had new gloves a blue pair of shades and a black outfit with gold on the legs and the golden lightningbolt.
He'd flown around before getting a call on the Shock Vox, which was a more powerful version of a cellphone since it tapped into the earth's magnetic field to communicate instead of cellphone towards so he'd answered it in video form calling "What's up Rich?"
We see Richie appear on the device stating "Yo, need you at HQ got something to show you." He'd spoken as something had sparked in the background "Gotta go, but come check this out." The blond stated cutting the feed to deal with whatever was going on.
Static had gone to the base and checked things out looking around he'd called "Yo Richie, you here?" and continued to walk around the area before stating "Man, can't believe he'd just up and ditch like that.."
Richie's voice spoke up saying "Wearing the new uniform huh? Nice, it looks good on you." He'd stated as Static begna looking around for him.
Yanking off a tarp the elcetrokinetic hero states "Ah ha!" but there was only junk under there, he'd scratched his head and then states "Alright, I give. You can come on out now."
A long cable with a single lense on it stretched outwards with Richie stating "Peek-a-boo." from it and Static was about to zap it however the blond came out of hiding saying "Oh no don't! He's a scouting Robot, I can control him with this remote. Static meet Backpack."
"Uh.. Hi?" Static stated questioning if that thing was sentient or not "Wait, Backpack?" He'd then questioned about that last part.
"Backpack, heel." Richie called and the robot cralwed up onto his back and hung there like a normal backpack and asks "Pretty cool right? I made him myself."
"Seriously?" The electrokinetic hero questioned surprised to hear that Richie had build it himself "Well, you have been on an inventing tear lately. I mean just look at this place."
"I know right, I got so many thoughts in my head it's like my brain is on fire. I created some tracers and improved the range on them, figured out how to fold up the Static Saucer even smaller than before." He'd answered back as Static was messing with one of the capsules to see what they did.
"So what do these do, don't look like the old Zapcaps.." Static then questioned as he'd been messing with one and it'd foled out from casule form into restraining cables that'd wrapped around him making him struggle to get out.
"Second generation ZapCaps." Richie stated back as the alarm began blaring "Uh oh, I programmed the scanner to blare if it picked up the words Metahuman or Bang Baby." he'd then added in turning it on as there was something about a breakout at the metahuman wing.
"Gotta fly." Static stated and ufolded the Static Saucer before flying off, though Richie had Backpack set itself onto a table and used a rocket powered scooter to check out what's going on exactly.
Static had found the Meta-Breed there in front of them hearing them asking what they were gonna do now and Static calls out "I'd think about turning myself over to the police if I were you."
A guy named Kangor jumped onto a police car hood sending it flipping upwards and then kicked it at Static who'd dodged but had to focus on the cops that were about to get mashed using his powers to stop the car from crushing them.
While he was distracted Talon had kicked him off the saucer and knocked him into an alleyway. Shiv meanwhile had sliced a telephone pole down making it fall onto the street with electrified wires dancing around as Ebon called out "Split up and meet me back at the new place!" before heading down an alleyway where Richie was on the other side.
"Completely my fault." Richie stated after crashing into Ebon who'd seem to have a moment of recognition.
"Hold up, I know you. You were talking with Static that time, maybe I can use you to get to the Hero." Ebon stated and tried to kidnap Richie but was blasted in the back by electricity.
Static had appeared and blasted him again calling "Let him go Ebon!" while turning up the juice.
Ebon let go of Richie and turned himself into a shadow across the ground moving into a manhole calling "Another time Hero." before then vanishing into a portal.
Static had gone after them but couldn't find him anywhere in there flying up and stating "Guess when you become a living shadow the nose is the first thing to go." waving his hand in front of his face.
We then cut to later as Virgil had been talking to Richie over the phone and the latter questions "How would you feel if you almost got Ebonized? Must have wanted to use me to get to you."
"You wanna sneak over and hang out?" Virgil questioned his best friend about the situation wondering if that'd help him feel better.
"Nah, I'm cool. Got Backpack on lookout mode." Richie answered back I've also got a bunch of first and second generation ZapCaps with me just incase."
"Alright then, take care." Virgil answered back and the two hung up the phone and Richie had gotten ideas for sound based ZapCaps.
The next day Richie had been working on sketching plans and such in his notebook while the teacher had drolling on and on about all the different stuff they were supposed to learn. "Alright now, who can tell me the answer to his equation?" The techer then questioned looking around the room discovering Richie being too busy with whatever he was doing and called on him saying "Mister Foley, the answer to the problem?"
Richie looked up at the equation on the board and says "Four over Pie." as if that was a simple enough thing to figure out despite how advanced it actually looked and surprisngly he'd gotten it right.
Later on back at their gas station Richie was messing with something in the garage with Virgil questioning "So, how did you solve that problem earlier anyway?"
"Beats me, sometime your head just figures out stuff before you can even realize that you're doing it." The blond answered back before then stating "Done, I call them the Jetblades, let's see what they can do." while gesturing to, and activating one of the rolerblades he was messing with and it'd broken the chain he'd had it bolted to onto the desk chasing them around.
Richie had tried to duck out of the way but the jetblade had chased after him, nearly plowing into the poor guy though Virgil used his electric powers to zap the boot stopping it from hitting against Richie in the process. "Richie this is too much, what's going on with you?" He'd then questioned turning the skate off.
"Well I do think faster as of late.." The blond stated taking the skate and setting it back onto the table. "Alot faster actually, and sometimes I can't stop thinking. It's like my thoughts are thinking thoughts an"Richie!" he'd continued to say but was cut off by Virgil getting him to stop overthinking it.
"I think maybe you're becoming a Bang Baby. Remember you were around me after the explosion, and you've been around a lot of other Metahumans." Virgil had then reminded him about all that.
"Ya, that would make sense, I'd slowly absorb excess runoff from the gas from being around you and the others Ebon earlier must have kicked off something into overdrive." The blond answered back about what'd been going on agreeing with him about it.
Later on Virgil was talking with Richie who seemed down about the whole thing and the former questions "What's wrong, isn't it fun being a superbrain?"
"I guess but why couldn't I get a cool power like Superstrength or laser Vision or something? How am I supposed to help you fight criminals exactly, think them into submission?" The blond stated with a sigh as backpack began letting of an alarm. "Backpack's detected a hositle Metahuman!"
Suddenly Talon appeared and sprouted her wings knocking the two of them to the side and when Virgil tried to get up she emitted a powerful sonic blast from her mouth knocking him out cold with a shadow extending outwards as Ebon appeared stating "I'm taking Static, you're welcome to try to stop us but we'll see how that goes." before vanishing into a portal with Virgil.
Richie had ran back to the station and began to go through the system stating "C'mon please have your Shock Vox on you.. and, Bingo!" managing to find Virigl on the move and where to before continuing on stating "What now, guess desparate times call for desparate measures huh?" looking over at the various stuff.
He'd started putting together the stuff that he'd needed gathring some Zapcaps and the like with Backpack climbing up onto him and then he'd began to skate off to go after Virgil to find a way to help him out.. somehow. He'd managed to get airborn with the jets but was bad at flying almost crashing into different stuff and just barely managing to avoid all of that. Getting to where Virgil was taken he'd taken out Talon by crashing into her completely accidentally.
"Sorry, still working on the breaks." He'd stated getting up and fixing his helmet and began to skate inside of the building where he'd tried the Shock Vox using audio mode questioning "V-Man you there?"
Virgil had taken it from his pocket and moved to sit in a way that they couldn't tell what he was doing stating "I'm in some sort of cell, can't use my powers think they're watching."
Kangor had noticed Richie and went to attack him but he'd moved out of the way with the guy kicking into the wall with the soles of his feet calling "Lucky move, think you can do it again?"
When he tried again Richie had thrown a ZapCap Mk-II at him tying him up by the feet, and when Shiv came to check out what was going on he'd used another one on him that wrapped itself around him in a way that kept him from calling out to Ebon.
He'd gone to check out the different rooms finding the control room and stating into the communicator "You're right, Ebon's got a camera on you. I'll see if I can take it down without him noticing." and sent off Backpack to sneak in and mess with the feed.
Backback had managed to sneak past and messed with the monitors creating a feedback loop so that it looked like Virgil was just walking around in his cell trying to figure out what to do with Richie then heading off to the cell that Virgil was in stating "Backpack created a feedback loop of you walking around in circles." and handed over Static's costume.
They'd made it to where Kangor had brought in Shiv, the latter of whom says "We've been amushed!"
"What, by who?" Ebon questioned them as Static appeared floting on the disk and Richie was leaning against the doorfram.
"We're still working out the name." Static stated as Ebon looks at the monitors seeing the loop replaying continuously.
"So we had the wrong guy, doesn't matter you're all our now!" The Master of Shadows stated as they'd prepared for a fight.
Static however just says "May I, you've already done so much." and Richie nods giving him a gesture that basically told him to go for it and he'd blasted the monitors creating a bright light before knocking Kangor through the top half of a door before then using his Static Saucer to push Ebon flat.
Later on back at their hideout Richie had come up with a green costume that'd matched with the stuff he had on asking "What do you think?" while looking it over in the mirror.
"I think you're spending more time in front of the mirror than my sister does." Static answered back about the outfit his friend had on now.
"Still gotta come up with some sort of a name. It's gotta say something about all this Gear i got on." His friend stated going over towards him and away from the mirror.
"Gear, what about that?" The Electrokinetic hero questioned about something simple like that for a hero name.
"Gear, I kinda like it." He'd answered back liking the name thinking he'd use it and the alarm had gone off again and the last shot was of the two flying off towards where the metahuman attack was happening.
