June 18, 1996, Sirius Black fell through the veil in the DoM, it is believed that the veil leads to death, but it leads to another world. Where the person that falls through will be changed and reborn. That is what happens to Sirius, and he is reborn as a Hobbit. In the year 2850 Sirius is reborn as Bilbo Baggins to two prominent Hobbits in the Shire.

Two years later in 2852, the couple is blessed with another birth, a daughter they name Azalea. Now Azalea's birth was very normal, except like her older brother, she is a reborn soul. In her previous life, she used to be Lily Potter née Evans. She died on the same day as her husband, but her soul did not move on as quickly as his. Her sacrifice let her souls linger in the skin of her children so they would be safe until she was no longer needed, and when that time came she needed to rest and heal.

Bilbo has just celebrated his coming of age and is sleeping comfortably in his bed. He dreamed of a young man with dark black hair, gray eyes, and very aristocratic-looking. He saw a happy childhood turn cold when he started school and his mother turned hateful when he was not like them. He felt abandoned as if this was he that experienced this. Sorrow turned into happiness at having friends and leaving home. Then more happiness when two children were born to their, no his friends, James and Lily, and oh how his sister Azalea looked like Lily, and it hurt. The happiness was but a fleeting moment when Lily and James were killed and he was imprisoned for a murder, and the kids sent to Lily's awful sister. Years in prison flash by and then he's free and getting to his godchildren. Then comes his or Sirius' foolish mistake, he should have known better than to tease and play with his cousin Bellatrix like that the crazy old bat, and then it happened, a spell was fired off and he fell through the veil. The last he remembers is Mooney and Tonks holding back Harry and Ruby while they screamed for him.

Bilbo raises himself up quickly with a shout of, "Momma!", dark brown hair sweaty and green/gray eyes blown wide and panting.

Belladonna Baggins née Took comes running in and pulls her eldest close and hugs him, "I'm here my sweet boy, now tell me what has caused you distress."

Bilbo breaks down into sobs and tells her of his confusing dream, and that he believes Azalea is Lily. Belladonna listens to him and rocks to help ease him into relaxing. Bungo had followed her in and has sat listening to his oldest child. Soon his tale stops and Belladonna rocks.

Bungo ever the scholar looks at them, "I do believe that this is a previous life and you have been reborn by the grace of Yavanna."

Bilbo looks at the loving father that he received in this new life, "You think so."

Bungo nods, "I do, you had bad parents in that life, and I'm doubly glad we spoiled you so in this one."

Bilbo smiles softly at his parents, "You both have been very good to me."

Belladonna smiles, "Thank you my faunt, now let's get you some warm milk to ease you back to sleep."

Bilbo nods and the three make their way into the kitchen, "I wonder if I will have magic here."

Belladonna, "Only time will tell. One more thing Bilbo, I know the bond you and your sister have but don't tell her of this."

Bilbo, "Why shouldn't I tell her?"

Belladonna smiles sadly, "She deserves to finish the last two years of her childhood without this burden and knowing what happened in a previous life, that is if she was your friend."

Bilbo nods, "So don't darken the last two years of a happy youth, and don't get her hopes up."

Belladonna smiles and nods, "Always right my smart baby boy."

Bilbo blushes and the three sit down to drink some warm milk with Bilbo swiping a cookie from the jar.

After Bilbo remembered his previous life, he found it hard not to tell his little sister, Azalea about it. They told each other everything. He kept his promise to his mother though. He was starting to suspect she really is Lily Potter, one of his best friends from his previous life. Azalea looked just like her. Beautiful emerald, green eyes, with deep red hair. She also had some traits from Lily. Tilting her head to the side when she was reading or deep in thought, and the way her eyes flash when she is angry. It was eerie. But it gave Bilbo some hope that he wasn't alone. He wondered if James had been reborn. But he didn't think the Valor would keep soulmates apart if they could help it.

You see, in the magical world, there is a very special spell that revealed who your soulmate was, and with no surprise, Lily and James had been soulmates. Bilbo hoped beyond hope that his Godchildren were safe. He had failed them time and time again, they deserved happiness and love. If they were to be reborn, he hoped it would be in this world where they can all be a family again. Harry and Ruby deserved it.

Memories: Azalea/Lily

Azalea, Bilbo's younger sister, with fiery red hair and emerald, green eyes knew something was wrong, she comes of age tomorrow or well in a few hours. Her brother spent the day nervous and pacing, keeping a close eye on her. Mother had to send him to the party tree for a bit to observe the party details. She was a bit overwhelmed by his overprotectiveness but smiled at it as she fell asleep. One minute after midnight Azalea's dreams changed, she was being called Lily by an older girl named Petunia, sister her mind supplied. She saw memories it seemed like of magic, a friend that understood named Severus, and a magic school. A rift between her and her sister. Falling in love with James, and a wedding. A war and the birth of her twins. Then she saw the day that she died, a green light, and nothing.

She awoke screaming, "Ruby! Harry!"

Bilbo was the first in her room, "What did you dream?"

She sits panting and soaked in sweat.

Bilbo's face softens, "Azalea…Lils? You know don't you?"

She looks at him, "How?", staring she realizes something, "Siri?"

Bilbo nods, "Yes."

Belladonna and Bungo are standing there and their mother speaks up, "Let's have some tea some lavender, and chamomile to relax us all, it's going to be a long night."

Bungo nods and leaves to put it on, Belladonna and Bilbo help Azalea out of bed. The trio makes their way to the living room and sits in front of the fire. Azalea watches the fire and suddenly breaks out into giggles her mother and brother watching her curiously.

Azalea, "Sorry it's just," snickers, "oh mother if you knew Bilbo as Sirius you would have been amazed he was positively Tookish."

Belladonna and Bilbo laugh at that and Bungo brought in the tea. They drink and wait. Soon Azalea tells them her dream about her memories.

Belladonna listens and thinks, "Yavanna gave you two a second chance for a reason I just don't know what that is just yet, but time will tell."

Azalea looks at Bilbo, "What of Harry and Ruby?"

Bilbo looks down, "I'm sorry, I chased Peter down and he faked his death killing muggles as well. I was sent to Azkaban and didn't escape until they were teenagers, Dumbledore sent them to live with Petunia, and she was not kind to them."

Azalea was so angry when she was told that her children, were sent to that devil woman. She was especially angry with Bilbo because he had a responsibility to his godchildren and instead of doing the right thing, he wanted revenge. It got to the point, she stopped talking to him for three months before their mother did something about it.

It took a while for Azalea to forgive her brother for not looking after her children in their previous life. Harry and Ruby should have been his top priority but Azalea also knew that Bilbo had been rash and vengeful after her and James' deaths. She understood that being betrayed by a friend, by some they trusted was a hard thing to get past. Thankfully, her mother stepped in before she was unable to forgive Bilbo for his past actions. Azalea loved her brother, and she didn't want to stay angry with him.

Belladonna understood where her daughter was coming from but it happened so long ago, she needed to move forward, instead of looking back. She sat her daughter down explaining that not everyone was perfect, they make bad decisions, it was a part of life. In Bilbo's previous life, he had indeed made some bad choices, and it cost two children their childhood, but it was so long ago, that her daughter couldn't hold it against her brother. As a mother, Belladonna understood the need to make sure children were safe and taken care of, but you cannot go through life carrying a grudge, that wasn't living.

After his mother talked with Azalea, Bilbo was shocked that his sister came to talk with him. He understood that she was angry but they couldn't change anything. He was so happy that Azalea forgave him.

After she was over being angry and she forgave him, Azalea was finally able to sit down with Bilbo, letting him explain his actions, not that he needed to as she understood, she knew he did his best at the time. But after thinking it over, and discussing it with their parents, Azalea and Bilbo concluded that Dumbledore had manipulated everything, as they were disagreeing with him about the war and how to handle the prophecy involving Harry and Ruby. James and she wanted to train their children from the time they were ten years old, while Dumbledore wanted them to depend on the lessons taught at Hogwarts but she and James knew that it wouldn't be enough if they were to go up against Voldemort and his minions.

It was no surprise later on that Dumbledore had made them go into hiding. They hated it. They had wanted to protect everyone, but their children needed them more, but it didn't make them feel any less useless. Anyway, after Azalea got the whole story, she knew Dumbledore had wanted to control her children, and the only way he was going to do that was to get her and James, along with Sirius and Remus out of the way. Now, Azalea knew that Dumbledore wasn't a bad man, but he had cared more about the bigger picture than anything else. After realizing Dumbledore, Azalea was able to completely forgive her brother for not looking after her children.

As the years passed, Bilbo knew he wasn't meant for the Shire. Since his memories surfaced, he has been craving adventure. He knew he had to leave, he wanted to see what was out there and for some reason, he was drawn towards the East. Something was calling him. He wondered if Azalea felt the same.

A few months before they could travel, a heavy snow blanketed the shire and drove predators into Buckland. Then the wolves started coming closer to Hobbiton at night, causing them to lose family and friends. It was heart-wrenching losing their neighbors. One day everything would change though, a missing piece in their lives would appear before they knew it and settle both of their spirits for a bit. Belladonna's sword Sting will also be brought out and placed into the hands of Bilbo for him to learn to use and Azalea will discover she has a talent for a Warhammer that Belladonna for some strange reason bought before her children were born. Oddly enough they will discover that soon their weapons will be more than they will also be the conduits for their magic.
