Third-Person Point of View
Freak. Abnormal. Disgrace.
Those are a few words twelve-year-old Lilith "Lili" Stacy Pines would hear throughout her school years. That's because of one of her eyes. Her right eye was snake-like (which was a yellow color), which she covers mostly with an eye patch. If her eye is covered, her eye would turn red when she's very angry - just like her pa's right eye. He, too, would hide his right eye. Lili and her pa (Lucifer "Luc" Stanford Pines) never knew why their right eye was snake-like and why it would turn red when they were angry. Her pa was trying to figure out why they are both like this. However, they didn't realize they were going to get the answer this summer when Lili is spending time with Grandpa Stan Pines and cousins Mabel and Dipper Pines.
At the moment, she was sitting in the back of the car of her father's car, not wanting to spend the summer with her grandpa and cousins.
"Pa! I don't want to spend time with gee-pa! I'm twelve years old! I think I'm getting too old to spend time with him!"
"Lili, you love spending time with gee-pa," said her pa, pulling up to the Shack, "Your gee-pa loves you, Lili. You're still a child. Plus, your cousins will be there."
Lili leaned back in the seat with her arms crossed over her chest, "Technically, they're my third cousins. And that's why I don't want to spend the summer with gee-pa! They will be there! I don't know a thing about Dapper and Mable!"
"Lili, their names are Dipper and Mabel. You know you three share the same birthday," smiled her pa, "Maybe you can celebrate your birthdays together since all of you are turning thirteen this year. I would spend the summer with y'all, but you know Pa has to go out of the country for the summer for his job. Please be nice to your cousins. I'm sure you will have a blast this summer."
Lili sighed heavily before slipping out of the car. She knew she had to do this since her pa was going out of the country. Why not stay with her mother? Well, her mother didn't want her after she was born with the yellow snake-like eye. Her mother gave her Pa full custody of her, which Lili knew about. She took her suitcases out of the truck with her pa's home. Her eyes landed on the Shack, not knowing what the future holds for her.
