"Who did this to you?"

"Who did this to you?!" The question was a repeated one, but she found herself unable to speak; the words lodged in the back of her throat while she looked up at him with wide and terrified eyes. Old tears had long since dried up on her puffy cheeks, but her emerald greens remained watery as fresh drops of red trickled down from a few lacerations on her face, arms, and legs.

His expression darkened when she remained silent and for the first time in a long time, the pinkette didn't feel the love, adoration, and affection that she'd grown so accustomed to when it came to him.

Instead, at that moment, she actually feared him.

He must have sensed her distress because his expression softened a little bit and he bent down to her level…his dark eyes scanning her over more thoroughly…more than likely calculating the severity of her wounds. "Sakura," he asked her more calmly now, his tone a bit harsh, but the intention behind it was clear. "Who did this to you?"

She felt more eyes on them and both of their gazes lifted simultaneously; his head turning while she stared straight ahead at the small group of young boys across the training grounds from where they were currently sitting. They were all whispering among themselves, one boldly meeting their gazes with a huge smirk on his face.

She felt a shiver run down her spine at the cruelty of it and if she'd been standing up, she may have just run away. As it was, memories began to flood back into her mind from a few moments ago when the boy that was eyeing them now had attacked her for seemingly no reason… pushing her to the ground, pulling her hair, using his training blades to—

She let out an involuntary whimper and noticed out of the corner of her eye that her greatest affection had stood up, fists clenched as he fearlessly marched over to the group.

The other boy didn't see it coming before Sasuke's fist had slammed into his right cheek…knocking him to the ground. The lone Uchiha didn't speak loudly, but even still his voice carried across the ground to her and she felt her heartbeat quicken when Sasuke said, "Don't ever lay a hand on her again… or next time it won't be just a bruised face I leave you with." With that, he turned and walked back to her, the boy and his friends looking on in complete shock at what had just transpired.

Without a word he helped her to her feet and dragged her away to tend to her wounds.

Author's Notes:

If any of these sound like your own writing or another you have read I apologize but I didn't copy anyone's work. This is entirely my own writing. As stated on Twitter, I'll be going at my own pace and not follow a daily upload schedule more than likely. I'll just post when they come to me. They'll probably be pretty short, and maybe a bit random, but I'll do my very best!
