"I can always count on you"
*The last paragraph I had to redo because my phone is acting up and deleted it, so I don't like it as much as the first time I wrote it, but cant help that.*
"Sasuke-kun," his wife whispered at his side, her voice barely audible above the humdrum happening around them; focus was elsewhere as inmates talked amongst themselves of mundane things.
He'd sidled up slowly to his wife's side as she pretended to peruse the bookshelf for something in particular. He didn't speak to her at first, but did acknowledged her by tilting his head slightly to let her know that he was listening; seeming as interested as she was in a particular book that he pulled from the shelves; a dusty old thing labeled in some foreign language he knew very little about.
His interest was only superficial; his focus fully trained on the woman at his side as he leaned casually against it with his back pressed against the books; one dirt-crusted boot propped on a lower shelf; head tilted downwards, causing his bangs to shield his eyes from any curious passersby.
Her tongue darted out as she to took a book from the shelf and opened it to a random page; tucking a strand of bangs behind her ear as she tilted her head away from him. "I've got the stuff we need for tonight. Are you ready?" He didn't expect her to be so quick, but had prepared early… just in case. He carefully turned another page in the old book and inclined his head slightly in affirmation.
He watched from the corner of his eye as her lips twitched up slightly in a small smile. The right side of his lips mirrors hers. "Excellent…," her excitement was almost palpable as she closed the book and tucked it back onto the bookshelf. "Come to my room around 10," she continued and reached for another novel. "I'll be waiting."
His smirk only grew as he closed the book in his hand and placed it back on the shelf in its rightful place, walking past her, but bending down slightly to whisper in her ear, "I can always count on you, Tsuma," before leaving her alone to try and hide her blushing cheeks from his teasing remark.
Author's Notes:
If any of these sound like your own writing or another you have read I apologize but I didn't copy anyone's work. This is entirely my own writing. As stated on Twitter, I'll be going at my own pace and not follow a daily upload schedule more than likely. I'll just post when they come to me. They'll probably be pretty short, and maybe a bit random, but I'll do my very best!
