Title: Promise Forever
So you seriously aren't going to talk to me." Eve sighed into the raven hair. The body against her stiffened up. "Look I didn't break my promise. I didn't want to leave Japan. Or You."
"You didn't even fight to remain." Aoi finally got out. Her arms stiffened even more at her sides. Trapped by Eve's arms around her back.
"I did fight to remain," Eve spoke. "I -"
"Then why did you leave!" Aoi's anger rose.
"I had to." Eve sighed. "I'm sorry." She finally pulled away from the other girl. Not taking her arms off of Aoi. But she needed to see Aoi's eyes for this next part. "I was …"
"Don't." Aoi hissed out. "Don't you dare say that my mother was correct in saying that you are too dangerous to be in my life. I already told my mother that she can not keep you away from me. That she can't kidnap you from my life. That she can't force you away from me." Angry tears rolled down her hot cheeks. "I'm not going to allow you to break any more promises with me Eve. You are not a Liar!" A hiccup came out as she fought the raw cry to burst out from her chest. She fought to hold onto her raw emotions … she needed to be strong here … not to be so damn fragile.
"Aoi." Eve softly spoke. Her heart broke at the sight in front of her. The sixteen year old girl in front of her was so broken. Aoi was desperately trying to keep herself held together. It was like she was on the very last limit of her energy levels. "Sit down." She frowned when she found the other girl not obeying her. Usually Aoi obeyed her when she was to tired to remain standing. She moved against the other girl causing the raven haired girl to move back the few inches until the backs of her legs met the end of the bed. Eve carefully pushed forward causing Aoi to move. But instead of the other girl sitting down Aoi fell backwards onto the bed. Eve fell on top of Aoi; and heard Aoi hiss out the breath of her lungs; due to the sudden weight of Eve on top of her. Aoi's arms wrapped tightly around Eve in a tight hug. Her face buried into the side of Eve's neck.
"I can't lose you." Aoi breathed out.
"You won't lose me." Eve promised.
Aoi silently broke.
Eve just kissed the broken raven haired beauty beneath her as she comforted the girl.

"Mmm ... Eve?" Aoi's questioning voice spoke.
"Hey." Eve softly smiled into Aoi's tired blurry eyes. "How about you get more sleep." She had carefully moved off of Aoi to lay to the right of the raven hair girl a few hours ago. She had simply just watched as the tired younger girl slept. She could tell by the flicking of Aoi's eyelids that her rest wasn't peaceful.
"Mmmm ... no I don't want to take my eyes off of you. You will just disappear again." Aoi sighed.
"I'm not going to disappear on you again." Eve promised. "I will always tell you when I need to leave. I will have a return date." Her right hand moved across Aoi's collarbone. "I won't deny myself from contacting you directly ever again."
"You were taken from me after that raining night on the roof." A lone tear rolled down Aoi's right cheek. "We never had a chance to talk anymore. I-I thought you hated me for stealing your father from you."
Eve's eyes widen. "Oh Aoi, no. Never that. I love the fact that my father loved you as a daughter. I love the fact that my father was with you at the beginning of your life." She leaned forward, and kissed the heated skin of the raven haired girl's forehead.
Aoi's eyes closed as fresh tears fell down her cheeks. She clung to the taller blonde girl. "Eve." She mewled low in her throat. Her tone was so low that no one should have heard her. But Eve did. Not because she was so close to the girl; no Eve heard her through her soul. Eve knew that she would always carry this note of Aoi's soul for the rest of her life. That this note of Aoi's would forever rest in the deepest craven of her soul.
"We didn't want you broken." Eve whispered. "We just want to protect you."
Aoi's eyes opened. "Nobody can be protected forever." A deep crease drew between her eyebrows. "I refuse to live in some bubble. I'm not afraid of what the world holds." Her chest tightened. "I'm sixteen after all. I'm no longer the weak little fetus struggling to grow in my mother's womb as she fought to carry me to life."
Eve's eyes widen. What? I just figured Seira wanted to keep Aoi protected from the mafia. So all this started when she found out she was pregnant. Eve felt more warmth toward Seira than when she first realized why Seira had forced her out of Aoi's life.
"I told my grandfather that I still love him very much; but I hate his decision that he wanted my mother to kill me instead of me having a chance to live." Aoi seethed.
Eve's breathe hitched. "Aoi you can't allow this raw anger; and hurt to destroy your soul."
"I have every right to be hurt and angry with my grandfather, Eve. Even you won't be able to talk me down from this." Aoi replied looking into Eve's eyes; to the deepest reaches of her soul. "My grandfather wanted a unborn and helpless baby dead ... all because my mother and my father didn't get married. All because my mother and father fell in love ... and my mother didn't wait to marry the man that my grandfather ordered her too."
Eve stiffen.
"Life begins at conception. No human has any right to order the death of a baby ... especially when that baby is just barely growing." Tears rolled down Aoi's cheeks. "I can never look at my grandfather the same way ever again."
"I'm sorry Aoi." Eve whispered.
Aoi buried her face into Eve's crook of neck as she broke.

"I'm sorry that you had to deal with going Pro with all this." Eve spoke after she felt like Aoi had gotten herself somewhat under control.
"I just learned this today." Aoi replied as she tightened her hold on Eve's waist.
"Oh." Eve realized that if Aoi had learned this before ... then even Aoi's love for golf wouldn't have been strong enough to keep going through the point of her going Pro. Then what else caused her to lose her ground? She fully knew that I was going to keep going until I made Pro. That I planned on going Pro so she and I could finally find out whom was better. My leaving ... even as sudden as it was ... wouldn't have prevented her from playing to her full enjoyment. She wouldn't have made so may errors.
"My father ended up in the hospital. I wanted to remain by his side; I didn't want to play golf. How could I when I could lose my father. What type of daughter would I be if I just went on my way and played golf while her father was dying." Aoi sobbed.
Eve's eyes widen. She licked her sudden dry lips. "I'm sorry Aoi." She husked out.
"If he doesn't stress himself out too much then he should be fine." Aoi quietly spoke after a few minutes of heartbreaking sobbing. She nuzzled into Eve's warm neck. "I inherited the disease from him. The headaches is just the first warning signs. If I was going to go Pro then going now as a teenager would be the best for me. That way I can play Pro Golf for a few more years than he had a chance to."
Eve eyes watered.
Aoi lifted her head to meet Eve's wet blue eyes. "I would still love golf the same even if I never made pro Eve." She smiled. "I will be fine. Golf doesn't stress me out. I have nothing to prove. Even to you. I will get to enjoy and love Golf for a long time. Just not as public." Her right hand rose to lightly trace Eve's cheek bone. "I get to watch you Eve. When I can no longer play for the public I can watch you. Then you and I will play privately."
"Always." Eve promised. "Always."
"Stay here with me." Aoi whispered.
"I'm not going anywhere." Eve replied.
"Don't let -" Aoi paused as the door opened. Her eyes slanted. "Eve's staying with me tonight."
Amane sighed deeply. "I know that Aoi. I just came for my things." She walked over to the closet and opened it; and pulled out her suitcase. She placed it on the bed and opened it.
Aoi sat up. "Amane I didn't mean ..."
Amane turned gentle eyes on the slightly younger girl. "Relax Aoi. Eve and I are just switching rooms is all. I'm not going to fight Eve's right to share your room any longer." She opened the dresser drawer and took out her clothes. She packed her suitcase in a efficient way.
There was a knock on the door. Amane walked and opened it. "I see you brought Eve's things Ichina."
"Yep." Ichina nodded and smiled over at the two girls on the bed. "Sorry Eve but I'm kicking you out."
Eve had sat up next to Aoi as she had silently watched as Amane was packing her things. She didn't feel any mistrust from the other girl any longer. She felt peaceful that Aoi's caddy (and best friend) trusted her enough to finally be alone with Aoi. She wasn't going to misuse that trust. "I get it shrimp."
Amane turned her head towards the bed as she was packing her tablet in it's side bag. "Your mother would like to meet with both you and Eve tomorrow."
Aoi stiffened up. "She's not going to keep Eve from me ever again." She growled low in her throat.
"She doesn't want to. She's unsure if you wanted to hear her voice tonight Aoi; otherwise she would have called you. She wants to see you. But she's unsure if you want to see her." Amane gently replied.
Aoi bowed her head. "I want to see her. But I can't have her harm Eve any longer."
"Your mother never harmed me Aoi." Eve spoke.
Aoi's head twisted as she stared with fiery anger into Eve's calm blue eyes. "She kidnapped you. She ordered you to leave Japan. To leave me. She didn't even give us a chance to say good bye." Her hands clenched on her shaking legs. "She used my connection and interest in you ..."
Eve right hand rose to cup the side of Aoi's face. "It's okay Aoi." She softly spoke gently. "You and I wouldn't have been able to become Pros side by side."
"She didn't have to steal you from me!" Aoi fiercely hissed.
"She found something about my past that scared her." Eve truthfully said. She frowned as she realized that she had to tell Aoi the full truth about her past.
"I don't need to be protected from the world Eve." Aoi forcefully spat out. "I'm stronger than I look."
Eve sighed deeply. "I played underground golf for the Mafia Aoi. My grandfather is a Mafia boss."
Aoi eyes widen. "Oh."
Amane and Ichina shared a look.
A smile graced Aoi's face. "Your grandfather is alive Eve. I'm so happy for you."
"Not the point here Aoi." Eve got out bemused that this would be what Aoi would take from the truth that she told her. Sighing deeply. "But yeah grandfather Burton is alive. At least I still have at least one living relative."
"I wouldn't worry about your grandfather being a Mafia boss; Eve. It seems how at ease and at peace you are with this news means that he won't force you to work for the Mafia. Or to take his place when he retires." Aoi clapped her hands. "He won't keep you from playing golf with me."
Eve quirked an eyebrow. As if he ever could have. Even if I had grown up with him in my life ... the moment I met Aoi I knew that my destiny was to play golf alongside her. "Grandfather wouldn't have fought me if he had been with me from the beginning. After all he always knew my mother didn't want anything to do with the Mafia ... so he understood why she left everything behind. He just regrets that he never got to tell her that he knew that she was pregnant with me. He just had to watch us from afar. Until when he thought that all of us died in the ship wreck when I was eight. If he had known that I survived then he would have brought me home." She sighed as she thought about that tragic part of her family history. Her hand rose to play with the closed locket against her heart. The locket that her grandfather had placed a picture of her mother and her in it. It was taken when she was three years old.
Aoi silently watched as Eve played with the golden locket that was new.
"So we'll leave you to it than." Ichina said. "Come on Amane that's our cue to leave."
"Good night you two." Aoi got out as the two other teenagers left the room.
"Good night Aoi." Amane smiled fondly as she closed the door.
Eve sighed deeply. "Looks like you finally got your way Aoi." She tilted her head. "I have to warn you that I may kick you in my sleep." She had no doubt that they would be sleeping in the same bed. Aoi never once seemed like she would have slept in the other bed if they did share a room. She will remind herself that Aoi is just like the rest of the kids back home. Whenever one of them snuggled next to her she was always careful. Lily was another story. But Aoi wasn't Lily.
"Mmmmm..." Aoi hummed.
"You get the first bath tonight. I want to see you nice, and snuggled up underneath the covers when I come out of the bathroom." Eve tilted her head towards the bathroom.
"Let's bathe together." Aoi smiled.
Eve groaned, "Aoi ... no."
Aoi looked down with a frown.
"You aren't ready Aoi." Eve softened her voice. "I don't want you to regret anything. You simply aren't ready yet."
"Don't control my life Eve, I have enough people controlling my life. I don't want to add you to the list." Aoi's heated graze lifted to meet Eve's open and soft blue eyes.
Eve gently cupped Aoi's face in the palms of her hands. "I would never control your life Aoi. I just don't want you to feel like you rushed into your first time." Her fingers lightly traced up the slightly younger girl's cheekbone.
Aoi's chest clenched. "You have done this before."
"No." Eve spoke. "I have come very close to. But I never went all the way. My soul knew it was saving itself for someone that was forever. That it was saving itself for you."
Aoi sighed in relief. "Oh." She turned her head so she could gently kiss Eve's right palm. Her eyes slowly drifted.
"Hey now don't fall asleep yet. You need to get nice and clean. I want you smelling fresh as I hold you throughout the night." Eve gently spoke. "Come on Aoi off to the bath now." She lowered her hands from the other girl's face.
Aoi blinked. "Hmmmm ..." She lit out a little yawn. "It's only seven o'clock."
"More time to snuggle." Eve softly smiled. "After all the emotions that you finally let out, Aoi. We need an early night."
Aoi blushed at the thought of longer snuggle time with Eve.
"Go on and get your bath Aoi." Eve stood to her feet. She held her hand to help the slightly younger brunette girl off the bed. She knew that if she allowed Aoi to sit still even a moment longer then Aoi would be too tired to get in the bath. She was very serious about wanting Aoi to be freshly bathed for bed. She knew that Aoi wouldn't get the restful sleep that her body craved if she still had the days dirt on her. She watched as Aoi made her way to the bathroom. Once the door closed blocking her view from Aoi she let out low breath.
"I'm in trouble." Eve wondered how long she could keep Aoi at bay. She wondered how long she could keep herself at bay.
E&A&E&A&E&A&E&A
Aoi's head turned the moment she heard the faint creak of the bathroom door opening. She smiled as Eve came into view.
"Have you been sitting like that the entire time?" Eve sighed. "Don't answer. I all ready know you have."
"You told me that you wanted me to be under the covers by the time you left the bathroom. You never said I had to be laying down." Aoi cheekily got out. Her left eye brow rose a little. "I'm very relaxed."
Eve silently eyed her. She walked closer to the bed and sat down at Aoi's waist. She cupped the younger girl's face in the palms of her hands. She searched Aoi's eyes. She could tell that the other girl needed much needed rest. But she could tell that Aoi hadn't stressed her body out by waiting for her. She gently traced Aoi's cheekbones with her fingers. She smiled at the soft moan escaping from Aoi's mouth.
Aoi's tongue slipped out of her mouth and she finally managed to lick Eve's skin. She mewled at the feel.
Eve's heart skipped a beat. Shit just a mere touch of her tongue is undoing me. How the hell am I going to be able to sleep with her in my arms without trying anything. Shit! Aoi's gentle and trusting eyes met her own. Don't worry Aoi I'll be worthy of you. I promise you. "Okay seriously time to prepare to get some much needed rest." She regretfully lowered her hands from Aoi's skin. Missing the feel of the other girl's skin. But knowing that she'll be able to feel it once she gets settled underneath the covers. She'll get to feel Aoi all night long.
Aoi mewled at the loss of Eve's skin against her.
Eve moved to move away from Aoi; but Aoi just simply lifted the blankets from her body. "Ummm I'm not crawling over you Aoi." She spoke in a heated voice, as heat quickly was rising to her cheeks; and chest at the sight of Aoi's lap.
Aoi silently moved sideways. "Don't growl at me." She firmly stated.
"I didn't growl." Eve frowned as she moved her legs underneath the covers.
"Yes you did." Aoi frowned as she lowered the covers back over herself; and Eve. "I'm not arguing over this Eve Burton!"
Taking a deep breath. "You are right this is a stupid thing to argue about. Besides I want you to have a peaceful nights rest." Placing her right hand against Aoi's bare shoulder. "I'm sorry for growling at you Aoi. I honesty didn't realize that I did."
Aoi calmed down as she felt the heat of Eve's hand on her skin once more. "Sorry for being so tense Eve. I don't mean to take out my swirling emotions out on you. After all you aren't the cause of any of them. You are as much of a victim as I am here."
"You aren't a victim Aoi. Never think of yourself as one." Eve frowned.
Aoi met Eve's gaze head on. She silently nodded firmly after a few minutes.
Eve lowered herself onto her pillow. She held out her right arm fully knowing that Aoi would snuggle into her. She wasn't fighting the other girl any longer. She had lost that fight from the very start. She just stopped fighting the losing fight.
Softly smiling as she laid her head down against Eve's shoulder, Aoi draped her right arm across the thin waist of the blonde. "I can't wait to meet Klein, Lily and your three sisters."
"They can't wait to properly met you also. They want to meet the person whom has me willing to move so far away from them." Eve replied.
Aoi raised her head with a worried frown. "Eve -"
"Rest easy Aoi. They all ready love you. Klein and Lily always knew that I wouldn't be living full time in Nafrece when they first found me." Eve met the concerned eyes of Aoi. "Rest now Aoi. Just rest."
Aoi searched Eve's eyes for several minutes before she sighed. "I'm sorry." She sighed as she rested her head back against Eve's shoulder. "I'm just not feeling fully like myself right now. I'm feeling more anxious than I have ever felt." She frowned as she looked up at the dark ceiling. "I don't like this feeling."
Eve felt a deep forbearing deep in her soul. Her eyes widen in surprise at the feel of a tongue against her neck. "Aoi ... no."
"I just want to taste you a little." Aoi husked out. She ran her tongue against Eve's skin more slowly than before. "Please Eve."
Eve's eyes drifted closed as she felt her body respond to Aoi's ministrations. She's going to be the death of me. But; oh what a way to go. She fought to hold in the moan that wanted to burst out. She knew that if she let out one sound then she wouldn't be able to stop herself or Aoi from going farther that night. She felt Aoi's shaky breath against her skin that reminded her of how truly fragile Aoi was at this moment in time.
Aoi's fingers tightened against Eve's hip. Her nose smashed even tighter against the skin of the blonde's neck as she took another swipe with her tongue. She mewled low in her throat.
"A-are you sure that you never done this before?" Eve managed to get out.
"I only like you." Aoi husked out. "Only you." She finally rested her head against Eve's shoulder. "A small taste won't be enough soon enough."
"Well it will just have to do." Eve frowned. "I'm not going to allow us to rush into anything Aoi. I don't want any regrets." When Aoi didn't reply she looked down to find the younger girl asleep. "Try to get some rest Aoi. I promise once the championship is over then you are going to get all the rest that your body craves." She rested her head against Aoi's, and closed her own eyes into the night.
