"morgana's lair is in the deepest and most secluded part of elmisle forest." Daina said. Vidia looked as if she had been slapped in the face.
"Are you ok, vidia?" daina asked, noticing vidia's shock. "I'm fine" vidia replied, regaining her attitude. In truth, vidia was reliving one her most dreadful memories.
"We leave at dawn!" milori announced, snapping vidia out of her thoughts. Once the ministers and milori and the ministers exited, only daina and vidia was left.
"what's wrong vid?" daina asked sharply. "I said I'm-" vidia began to reply but daina cut her off. "Drop the act. I've known you since you arrived." Daina said.
A single tear rolled down vidia's face. "Is it what happened with elmoore?" daina asked with wide eyes. Vidia nodded numbly.
"You better go rest for tomorrow." Daina advised. Vidia nodded mutely and flew off. Unbeknownst to either of them a certain tinker fairy and her friends had eavesdropped on the entire conversation.
Daina sank down on a seat and rubbed her temple with her hand. She was lost in her thoughts when she heard whispering outside the door.
"Enter!" she called. Tinkerbell and her friends flew in. "what do you all want?" asked daina impatiently.
Everyone in the group took a step back apart from tinkerbell. When she noticed this, she spoke up. "What happened to vidia?" tinkerbell asked meekly. Daina sighed.
"Have you all been eavesdropping?" daina asked. They all just gave daina innocent faces. "I'll tell you on one condition. Don't tell vidia you know!" daina relented.
All the girls nodded, eager to hear the story. "And tinkerbell, don't ask questions halfway through the story!" daina warned. Tinkerbell gave her a curt nod.
"Long ago, when vidia arrived her talent glowed brighter than any before. She was faster than any other fairy but also the kindest fairy in all of pixie hollow. When morgana tricked her, she grew more secluded but was still the kind fairy she once was. By this time, me and vidia were the best of friends. Vidia fell in love with a sparrowman called elmoore. What no one knew was that he was morgana's second in command and was just pretending to be a fast flyer, like morgana had once done. Elmoore pretended to like vidia. But he was just pretending. Vidia poured her soul into him and loved him unconditionally. It turns out that he was just using vidia to get close to me. You see, morgana needed a queen's magic for her spell. Once his plan failed, he stopped me from telling vidia who he was. He got to vidia first and broke her heart. He did this by challenging her to a friendly race to the elmisle forest. When they both reached, he dumped her and flew off with morgana who was disguised as a beautiful, young fairy for the sole purpose of hurting her. When vidia got back, I told her why he really liked her and that was her breaking point. She stopped letting people in. she became bitter. She separated herself from everyone else. That is vidia's tale. A tale no one should have to live."
