In the desert, at nightfall, Mario, Peach, Luigi, and Bowser were in a battle.

Suddenly, They saw a silhouetted figure agianst the moon.

A short figure in a hat and cape.

The silhouetted figure revealed itself to be...

Lucas, from Earthbound.

Their jaws dropped in shock and surprise.

SUDDENLY!

A beam struck Lucas, and sent him flying, far away.

Do you know who did that?

That's right!

It was...

Geno, the doll from Super Mario RPG, Legend of the Seven Stars!

the 4 Mario fighters cheered excitedly - their old friend was finally in Smash.

CHARACTER SPLASH: 'GENO HAS FINALLY ARRIVED!'

GAMEPLAY FOOTAGE: [Background Music: 'Fight Against an Armed Boss' from Super Mario RPG, Legend of the Seven Stars]

On the Battlefield Stage, Geno's doll body is on the stage, and Geno in his star form floats down and possessed the doll, preparing for battle.

Geno got to battling Villager, Isabelle, Lucina, and Pit on that stage.

Then, Geno took to battling a Mii Gunner wearing the Geno Costume on Final Destination, both shooting at each other.

On the Battlefield version of the Mario stage 3D Land, Geno struck Bowser with his Double Punch.

He launched a shot from his Hand Cannon on Bowser Jr, sending him flying.

On Magicant, Geno, followed by 7 more copies all dropped down, one with a green cape, and 4 of them wearing the capes from the Super Mario RPG game as armor. the other 2 copies were different - one was greycale, and the other had a golden sheen, referencing the statues in Nimbus Land.

On Venom, Geno grabbed Falco and used his Hand Cannon on him.

On Moray Towers, The Inklings encountered Geno, and Kirby, wearing a hat like Geno's. Geno did his victory pose from Super Mario RPG.

on Green Hill Zone, Geno grabbed a Metal Box item and turned silver metal.

On the Battlefield version of New Pork City, Geno used Geno Boost, to power up his attacks. He did a Geno Whirl on Kirby, then used his Geno Beam on Mr. Game & Watch.

Then he used a Geno Blast to push himself upwards, and deal damage to Alph.

In a battle against Bowser on the Mario Galaxy stage, Geno broke a Smash Ball, and then activated his Final Smash. Transforming into a cannon, Geno fires a powerful wide sunburst out, which appeared in the centre of the stage, expanded, and then discharged, dealing lots of damage, especialy to Bowser, since he ended up in the path of the sun as it appeared. Bowser was sent flying.

then, Geno took to battling Link, Toon Link, and Young Link on a stage based on the stump in the Forest Maze, where Bowyer is fought in the Super Mario RPG game. There are 3 purple eyed platforms floating. Bowyer, who was in the background, fires arrows periodically onto the stage, some of them hitting one of the purple platforms, making them turn grey, close their eyes, and drop. Young Link was unlucky to be on that platform, and he was paralyzed.

Geno did his victory pose from Super Mario RPG.

The screen faded to black, with the copyright info appearing onscreen.

and then a message rang out,

'May the stars shine down on you.'
