Truth Revealed
Mindy's Parents finally find the truth of what Buttons does. AND MINDY GETS PUNISHED!

It all began at Mindy's house.
THere was a knock on the door. Buttons the dog, who was outside, and he heard it. [Dogs can hear most high-pitched noises, you know.]
Not surprisingly, he wasn't the only one who heard it - Mindy's dad, who was inside, heard it. "I'll get it!" he called.
From outside, Buttons saw Mindy's dad go to the door. He opened it, but he saw no one was there.
It was then he saw a package addressed to HIM & his wife.
The message read 'PLAY THIS TAPE. Signed, Anomynous.'
"What is that, honey?" Mindy's Mom said, who had come in from the kitchen, and seen what her husband was holding.
"It's a videotape we have to play." Mindy's Dad said.
So, they played the tape on their videoplayer on their tv. And the footage that came on the tape shocked them - it was all the footage of every Animaniacs skit involving Mindy & Buttons; of Mindy running around dangerously, and Buttons chasing her, and saving her, and every time he got punished.
Once that tape was ended, Mindy's parents were gobsmacked.
"Oh my God, honey," Mindy's Mom said. "All this time, we punished Buttons, when he was just keeping Mindy out of trouble! Oh, I feel such a fool!"
"I second that." Mindy's dad said. "Oh, if only we'd known!" Then he became very angry.
And later, he and his wife took their anger out on Mindy. Buttons, who was outside, could see and hear everything. [Dogs can hear most high-pitched noises, you know.]
"You very bad girl!" Mindy's Dad said furiously. "How dare you wander outta our yard without our permission! No doubt you've been doing this all this time, and we've been punishing our dog because of you!"
"I didn't mean any harm, Dad." Mindy said quietly. "It's my character flaw."
"Yes," Mindy's mom said, "And our character flaw is always punishing Buttons even when he tries to save you!"
"And do you know what we're gonna do now?" Mindy's Dad said to his daughter.
"What?" Mindy asked.
"THe most 'out of character thing ever.'" Mindy's dad said. "Mindy, you... are... GROUNDED! GO TO YOUR ROOM, NOW!"
Buttons' jaw dropped.
Mindy gasped, burst into tears and ran up to her room, crying her eyes out.
Buttons, shocked at what he HEARD, quickly ran into his kennel and hid. He didn't like what was happening at all.
Sometime later, Mindy's parents gave Buttons a whole truckfull of his favourite dog treats, to make up for all of their harsh treatment of him.
Justice had finally been served for Buttons.
