sup noodles, i don't remember where but I came up with this idea for a oneshot.

disclaimer: I do not own Austin & Ally or anything else you may recognize. Enjoy!

This oneshot is dedicated to my grandmother who passed away last year. She may not be able to read it and never learned about my passion for Austin & Ally but this is still for her. I love you grandma.

Summary: 4 times Austin saved Ally's life and 1 time she saved his.

Ally Dawson was a clumsy person. Everyone knew it. She was cleaning the instruments when she somehow managed to stumble and fall into the arms of her blonde best friend.

She looked into his Hazel brown eyes and immediately rolled her own chocolate eyes. He had his signature smirk plastered on his face.

"Well Ally Dawson, it looks like you fell for me." She smacked his arm lightly before replying.

"I've already fallen for you." She said before placing a light kiss on her boyfriends lips.

He deepened the kiss, running his hands through her soft hair. After a couple minutes the couple pulled away reluctantly from lack of air.

He playfully twirled her around as she danced into his warm embrace. "Thanks for saving my life." She added as she placed another kiss on his lips. "Anytime Ally, anytime."

The young couple danced together all around Sonic Boom, the instruments that needed cleaning long forgotten.

She frantically paced around her locker. Chewing her hair nervously. She checked the clock one again, 12:58.

Where was he? Austin knew how important this was to her. He promised he would get the project to her on time.

Finally she saw the shiny mop of blonde hair she adored. "Austin! We're late!" She frantically yelled.

"I know I'm sorry! But here! I have the project!"

He handed her their project and she sighed in relief. She grabbed ahold of his hand and the couple walked to class.

Hours later, everyone was at Sonic Boom and Ally was marveling over the A on her project. She grinned at Austin before covering him in a million kisses.

Taken aback by her sudden actions he kissed her back and smiled and soon as he pulled away.

"What was that for?" He asked happily. She just grinned before replying.

"You. Thanks for doing your part of the project Austin, you saved my life."

He chuckled at how excited she was for a good grade but he knew how much it meant to her. Others may think she was dorky or a nerd for caring about school so much but he loved it.

He may not be the best at school, but seeing school make her happy made him happy. The dance she did whenever she got a good grade was the reason he woke up for school.

The glint of happiness in her eyes was the reason he tried. She was his motivation. He thrives on her happiness.

He snapped back to reality when he realized he never answered her. "Anytime Ally, anytime."

TW: self harm, I just want to take a moment to say I am not a self harmer and never have before. This may not be entirely accurate so sorry I'm advance. Also if you are self harming, you are not alone. Talk to somebody please, your life is worth living.

What may have been a sunny, bright day for him was a gloomy, dark day for her.

She couldn't help it. The mean comments got to her. Their words influenced her. She wanted to stop but couldn't.

She pressed the razor blade to her wrist, watching the crimson liquid leave the fresh cut she made. She thought no one was watching, so she pressed the razor again.

After every cut she made he felt his heart break more. He watched for a whole 15 minutes, standing in silence as the tears poured down her face.

He wanted to say something, do something. He wanted to make it stop. Take all her pain away from her. After another long minute passed he couldn't take her suffering any more.

"Ally?" He weakly called out. He saw her head glance up at the mention at her name. Her eyes widened when she saw her boyfriend standing there.

"Austin?" She called while attempting to cover up what she was doing. She pressed a towel to her wrist and quickly cleaned up the mess.

"What are you doing?" He question, tears pouring down his own face. His voice was thick with emotion.

"I-I," She attempted to speak but fell to the ground as heavy sobs racked her tiny body. He rushed to her side, immediately throwing his arms around the petite brunette to comfort her.

After a minute she calmed down and he gently lifted her chin up to look him in the eyes. In his gentlest voice he questioned her.

"Ally," Hot salty tears were now trailing down his cheeks and she felt even more guilty. He grabbed ahold of her wrist, examining the cuts and scars.

"Why are you doing this to yourself?" He questioned, his throat wobbled and his eyes burned.

"I'm sorry." Was all she managed to mutter before sobbing again. He held her tight as they sobbed together.

A couple weeks later she was making progress. He would sleep over almost every night and hold her close. He gave her the courage to stand up to her bullies. He helped her quit cutting.

Life was better with him around.

They were sitting in a park, just holding each other close when Ally looked into those Hazel brown eyes she adored.

"Austin?" She asked nervously.

"Yeah Ally?" He replied focusing his attention on her.

"Thank you for saving my life, again."

He smiled and pressed a sweet kiss to her lips.

"Anytime Ally, anytime."

She hated the beach.

Austin, Trish, and Dez had forced her to go to enjoy their last days of summer vacation. She whined and pouted but they still dragged her along.

She sat under the umbrella on her towel, re-applying sunscreen for the 10th time and reading her book.

She was so lost in her book she didn't even notice the shadow of the boy she loved standing over her shoulder.

She didn't put the book down till he quickly grabbed it out of her hands and slung her over his shoulder.

She squealed at the sudden action and started pouring his back with her tiny fists.

"Austin, put me down!" She whined.

He looked thoughtful for a moment before shaking his head no and replying with a swift "Nope."

He laughed at her childish pout while she crossed her arms and frowned more. "Austinnn," she whined again, dragging out the N.

"Allyyy." He said mocking her.

"Put me down!" She requested.

"Okay." He answered her request and dropped her in the water. She rose up instantly, shivering from the cold water.

"Austin! That was not what I meant!" She yelled through chattering teeth. His laughter quickly subsided as she dragged him into the water with her.

He instantly shot up, freezing from the cold water. "Ally!" He yelled through his own chattering teeth. She laughed as glared at her. He pulled her back down under the water as she was washed away by a wave.

After a moment she still hadn't come to the surface. "Ally?" He called out, getting more worried with each passing second. He dove into the water searching for his girlfriend.

Finally, he found her and brought her back to the shore. She instantly started coughing up water as he rubbed her back in circles. "Are you okay?" He whispered.

She has her eyes closed but he could see a weak nod. He held her close as she continued to cough up water. Finally the coughing subsided and she opened her eyes again.

"Austin?" She whispered. "Yeah?" He questioned, giving her his full attention. "Thanks for saving my life." She giggled as a huge grin approached her face. He laughed slightly before giving her his own big smile.

"Anytime Ally, anytime."

This time she saved his life.

He watched helplessly as she threw her tiny body in front of him, saving him from the oncoming car. Sobs invaded his body as he could only watch her lie in the pool of her own blood.

The car that hit her had pulled over and immediately jumped out to help. A crowd of people surrounded them. He didn't even notice as he and Ally were loaded onto an ambulance.

His body was numb, he couldn't feel the once excruciating pain that had been coursing through his leg, he didn't even notice his surroundings or the people around him.

He barely noticed as his leg was put into a cast, he didn't notice as they stuck IV's into his arm. All he could think about was Ally.

No one was giving him any updates on her. The doctors had been with her for hours but no one would update him.

He sat in silence for hours upon hours, only thinking about Ally.

Finally, 12 hours after they got to the hospital someone finally told him what was going on.

He watched as his parents, the Dawson's, Trish no, and Dez all entered his hospital room. All with gloomy and grim expressions. He looked closely at everyone's faces and saw tears streaming down them all.

The worst thoughts ran through his mind. Panic coursing through his veins. Not being able to wait another minute to find out what happen he spoke up.

"Guys," He could feel the hot salty tears already streaming down his face.

"Tell me it's not true?" He begged. No one answered, the tension in the air was thick enough to cut with a knife.

Trish was the first one to speak up.

"Austin," Her voice wobbled as she spoke. "Ally she- she didn't make it. The impact of the crash was too much for her body to handle. I'm sorry, she didn't make it."

That was it. That was all he needed to hear before he broke down, the loud sobs racked his body. He didn't dare to look up at everyone. His loud crying was the only noise you could hear besides someone's occasional sniffle.

They all walked towards him, wrapping their arms around him comfortingly. They held him tight as he continued to cry and cry.

He fell asleep crying and everyone quietly left.

The next morning he awoke and the events of the last night instantly flooded his brain. He squeezed his eyes shut as the tears poured down his face.

Eventually he stopped crying. Eventually he went home. Eventually he stopped trying.

He gave up everything important to him, nothing was worth it without her. He stopped trying in school. He gave up on music. He fell into a deep depression and couldn't find a way out of the darkness.

The days went on and on but he didn't notice. He never thought about anything but her. He started skipping school to go to her grave, and he would sit there for hours and hours and just talk to her.

He cried and cried every day, never stopping. He wouldn't eat, he wouldn't shower, he wouldn't get out of bed. Nothing was worth doing without Ally.

Finally a year after her death he had the courage to go to Sonic Boom. He thought he would never come here again but he had to, he needed to feel her spirit in the place she loved most.

He walked to the practice room emotionless when he saw it. Her songbook. He half expected to hear "Don't touch my book!!" From the sky but he heard something he never thought he would hear again.

He looked up and saw her standing there. She looked like an angel, his angel. Her angelic voice filled his ears, he saw her soft facial expressions. He ran into her arms, never wanting to let go.

"Ally?" He cried out of pure joy. Her beautiful smile lit up the whole room. "Hi." She softly replied. He broke out into a humongous grin once again enveloping her into his arms.

"Touch my book." He heard her magical voice request. He obeyed immediately and grabbed the book, flipping to last entry.

"Dear Songbook,

I have a feeling something bad is going to happen in the next few days and in case it does I'm writing down my goodbyes."

He skimmed the parts to their families and Trish and Dez, he'd show them later. His eyes widened,as he saw a whole section just for him.

Dear Austin,

I don't know if something bad is going to happen but in case it does here's everything I never said to you that I should have.

Please don't stop trying. Don't stop trying in school, please, continue for me?

Never give up on music. Music was our way of connecting please never stop singing. Sing to me, I may not be here to sing along but I will always want to hear your beautiful voice. Try writing songs, I may not be there to help you write them but I'll always listen.

Please don't go into a depression if I die. Don't deprive yourself of love and happiness. While I always thought I would be the one to marry you and grow old and have kids with I want you to still experience those things without me.

I may not be there at your wedding or at the birth of your children but I know I already love your future wife and children.

Please don't stop being the happy, carefree, loving Austin I fell in love with, don't lose yourself to the darkness, Please, do this for me.

I love you Austin, thanks for saving my life.

- Ally Edgar Dawson

That was enough to bring him out of his depression. He started trying in school again. He rediscovered his love for music. He started writing songs, for her, about her, just for her to listen to. He never stopped talking to her.

He may have looked like a weirdo talking to himself in the hallways at school, the grocery store, or even in his own home but he was always talking to her.

He visited her grave weekly, he would bring her flowers and just sit there and talk. He kept her songbook and brought it with him everywhere.

There was never a day he went somewhere without her songbook. The grocery store? Songbook. School? Songbook. His wedding? Songbook.

He never thought he would find love again after she died but he did. He met this wonderful girl named Piper and together the two got married and had 2 beautiful kids.

As he grew old he never stopped talking to Ally. He never stopped thinking about her or telling her story to others.

Somehow he managed to live a happy life without her and when it was his time to go she was the first person he saw.

They embraced in a long hug and he never lost her again. The first words out of her mouth to him were, "Thanks for saving my life." He just smiled once again.

"Anytime Ally, anytime."
