Visibility was difficult through the heavy mist. Sensual moans filled the air as Komand'r joined Conner's pace. His body over hers, she hugged him close, thrilled by the sheer weight of him. He kissed her neck as she caressed his back. He drove deeper sending them to the brink of ecstasy.

Conner bolted awake breathless and confused. He struggled to gain his footing as he stumbled to quickly call Komand'r.

Their last conversation started out as usual but veered toward confessions of growing desires. The distance between them had begun to take its toll. But none of that explained what happened, how powerful it felt, how real.

He had no idea how the events of last night occurred but he was determined to figure it out. Something was pulling him to her. He needed to know if she experienced it too.

He relaxed as she appeared on his screen.

"Conner?" She too was shaken and out of breath.

"Hey, are you alright?"

"Um, yes, just…um…" She swallowed hard. "…a little overwhelmed."

He wasn't sure how to ask her about the experience. "Did you…um…how did you sleep…I mean…"

"I felt it too."

"You did? Everything?"

"Everything."

He had trouble gathering his thoughts. "It…it was real?"

"In a way."

"In a way? I was…I felt you-"

"I felt you too." She grinned.

"Kom."

"What?"

"How did it happen?"

She squinted. "I'm not really sure."

"What?" He scoffed. "No seriously."

She threw her hands up. "I really don't know. Do you have any ideas?"

He shook his head. "No. I don't. But I…" He reset himself before he continued. "Have you experienced anything like this before? I mean, Kory found you because of the visions she was having and they were coming from you."

"No, nothing like last night." She did her best to focus on their conversation but distraction was imminent. Her mind drifted back to their shared experience. She felt his kiss, his touch, as if he were there in her chamber. She shook her head and continued. "Glimpses of something, visions, I've had conversations with telepaths but nothing like this."

"It was…we…it wasn't a memory."

She sighed. "No, it wasn't."

"What do you remember?"

"I went to sleep and suddenly I was with you. You touched my face, we kissed…"

"Name something specific, detailed." He needed to know if they actually shared the experience.

"Um…it was hard to see, to focus. I heard a sound but it seemed muffled, like it was far away."

"I remember the sound, and there were no real surroundings like, like we were floating."

"And…we were…driven. Very driven."

He smirked. "You're right. We were both pretty determined."

"And I don't know about you but I'm exhausted."

"Yeah me too, but we slept for hours."

She yawned. "Unless it wasn't sleep."

He furrowed his brow at her statement. "Not sleep? So…" His voiced trailed as he continued.

She tried to stay on topic but couldn't focus past her recollection of the event. His weight on her, his deep kisses on her neck…

"Kom!"

He startled her. "What?"

"You're having trouble focusing too."

"Yes. I'm having, I can't stop thinking about it okay, to be fair this encounter was…cut short."

He rolled his eyes. "It was hours."

"Yes but it's been months since we were together." She sat back in her seat. Her discontent was clear. She had been drawn to him more and more lately and the urge was overwhelming. Last night was something she needed.

He shared both her frustration and the need for last night. "It's been hard for me too."

"At least this new whatever it is, at least it's something."

"You're right."

She smiled.

He pressed further. "But how? How did this just happen out of nowhere? Can we control it? How long does it last? Why is it starting now?" He was intrigued and wanted answers.

She waited patiently until he finally ended his barrage of questioning. "Are you finished?"

"Yep."

"Lots of questions for answers I don't have. But trying again…" She winked and leaned forward. "…I'm definitely up for that. A little experimenting can't hurt."

"How about now?" He couldn't hide his desire to repeat their experience.

"We better. I must admit to this insatiable need to be near you."

He smiled. Hearing her desires heightened his own. "See you soon."

She saw his mischievous smile and gave one in return. "I can't wait."
