This is an AU where all animals even Pokemon exist, they live in conjunction with pokemon but there is nothing terrible about the universe like earth..
He got off his one man boat after the longest time at sea, from what he had spent time taking in the site there was a rather huge mountain top in the distance. He would climb it eventually to get the lay of this new land but right now he needed shelter as it was getting darker.
Kratos was easily able to secure food and shelter for himself and even found a great spot where food sources were available and abundant, he had no problem getting and eating plant foods berries and fish that swam in abundance around him. He had no real place to travel towards but he just traveled, since he left from whatever had occurred on Olympus.
He stayed silent even as the animals that lived here watched him as he went to sleep. It was the morning after that he awoke to the sound of the earth shaking already he went over to check it out. As he passed by a couple clearings the sound of it all got louder with multiple animals fleeing away from the battle. He wasn't someone who would have any business interfering but he did want to see exactly what was making so much noise in the distance. Just then a Hyper Beam shot out of the tree line and almost hit him he dodged it and ran closer to the source of such a blast. What he could see was a three way battle between a Huge gasping Water Serpent, Orange Dragon with fire on it's tail and a Giant Blue Lizard with a red pattern hide. He waited and watched them all have a royal for a while before he started to leave the area since it wouldn't concern him. That was until a shadow flew behind him and gave him heavy a Mega Punch, launching him into the Sea Serpent that looked shocked that something was flying towards him. Kratos had hit the Giant Serpent causing them both to fly onto the side of the mountain causing the Gyarados to let out a final breath as it was knocked out.
The Dragonite that had punched Kratos had been watching the whole confrontation before deciding to cause some chaos by punching the human. He especially didn't like Trainers since they would always try and fail to try and capture him or his friends, Dragonite didn't really care weather or not any of those trainers were able to escape or not back towards their colonies but he didn't follow after them when he beat them up. After Kratos took that sucker punch to the back and knocked out the Sea Serpent from the fight he grabbed the Serpent by the tail swung it around and tossed it towards the Dragonite that had stopped paying attention to him. He launched the body and in an instant Dragonite was tossed along side Garados into a huge rock. Charizard and the other Garchomp watched on as a human was able to lift a Garados and launch it at the Dragon.
Charizard also wanted a fight and it didn't matter who it came from readily charged up a Dragon Breath to blast the human. Kratos noticed the other beast and quickly escaped the flames by skirting around it and rolling behind a giant boulder that had fell when the mountain was impacted. The Garchomp watched the human lift up the smoldering boulder after it was done spouting flames and chuck it towards the Charizard. Dragonite lifted itself out of the hole that was made and clearly looked pissed, it used Agility to escape and sent a Hyper Beam down at the remaining combatants.
Kratos had enough time to escape the onslaught of Hyper Beams and dust he was a Spartan and clearly waited for a better opportunity to present itself. When the Dragonite finished looking down at the dusty clearing it used a small Twister to vanish the dust. It only found an agitated Garchomp that summoned a Sandstorm up. Kratos took this opportunity to look at the two battling Pokemon that was until Charizard Charizard grabbed ahold of Kratos using Dig, "Char, Charizard" Charizard was happy at finally finding a good fight in a long while since it was once a Trainers Pokemon before he was released. Charizard spread out his wing's and launched both further up the Mountain they were going as fast as possible with Kratos being held in the Dragon's grip. After Dragonite made kuick work of Garchomp he was still angry at the Man, and ended up following them further up into the mountains. Charizard was about to smash Kratos into a mountain bolder but before that could happen he escaped quickly reversed the position and slammed Charizard into the bolder. Dragonite watched as they were about to hit free fall and blasted them both with a Hyper Beam. Launching them apart Kratos the God of precise timing easily let go of Charizard free fell through the air grabbed ahold of Dragonite and started punching it in the face. They flew through clouds and reached the summit where Kratos was able to finally kick it through multiple layers of rock inside by tackling it mid air through the mountain.
Kratos awoke inside a chamber with clear marble flooring. "I can cure you of your curse, Spartan but at a cost" a voice spoke to him as he looked around the room for the source. Kratos looked up from the downed Dragonite and as he did so he saw the visage of a huge four legged white Creature with a ring over it's back. What are you Kratos asked the beast with it's pointed head taking out the blade's of Chaos as a precaution.
"Across multiple timelines and Multiverse's there have only been a few who have caught my direct children or Legendary Pokemon as mortals would like to call us" it started to explain. This has terrible implications for our pantheon since they would sooner be captured than be worshipped as God's to every human on every region. For any mortal to catch a god is seen as a blasphemy since they wouldn't be strong enough themselves to resist theft being assassinated themselves for their God Pokemon or shamed if a Legendary they trained lost even one battle. It is because of this that many Legendary Pokemon do not have any Trainers that are suitable enough to keep up with their energy level's. For them to even think try to even keep up with a Legendary Pokemon's would just stunt their growth causing Aura poisoning eventually or disobedience in some cases".
"So might i ask a favor from one god to the next, such as a Pokemon is to a Trainer could a God Pokemon be to a God Trainer. You must capture all of the Legendary Pokemon for your goal's. It's clear to see that Legendaries weren't fit to be held by mortal hand's but instead they should be held instead by a God's hands" Arceus asked. "What on earth are you going on about beast" Kratos asked while hearing it speak to his mind.
At that thought the God of Pokemon paused and examined Kratos and thought some more. Arceus was thinking of how exactly a completely different God had traveled to his Domain. So he decided to peer inside and saw the crumbling of Olympus Kratos riding and killing other God's as they tricked him multiple times. Arceus watched as he bested multiple beasts and slayed through hordes of creatures, as he traveled to hell and back on multiple occasions for his own sake. He learned of his family and language and everything that happened to him over the course of his life in a second.
After a fierce struggle in his mind Kratos responded
Leave my head creature or i will separate you from yours. Arceus stopped stealing information from the God and spoke. "God of War if you allow it, to fulfill my favours i will share everything you will need to be free from your curse". Kratos had been tricked before by other more devious God's. But whatever help the God says it might have could be better than the traveling he had been doing for so long. He had long ago since given up on finding anything to be rid of his curse with his travel from Greece. "If you are lying know this, beast or God nothing had ever lived to tell the tale". With the warning out of the way Arceus nodded. But Kratos remembered how other Pokemon helped him as he was going through the land, there were little creatures or Pokemon as Arceus called them. When he had awoke there was a few berries gathered for him in the morning they weren't really anything truly evil as far as he could tell but he had trusted too easily before and had paid the price for it, he wouldn't allow himself again.
If or when you summon a God Pokemon to do battle people will once again have tremendous belief in their Pantheon and give the God of Pokemon more power to stabilize their sections of the Multiverse but also to cure Kratos of his complicated past it was a win - win for the two of them.
Arceus couldn't go with Kratos since not everyone would listen to a Pokemon even if they were a god and his children no longer listened to him, there was also the main reason that it didn't leave the Matrix would become to destabilized and everything would eventually fall apart. So instead of leaving Arceus blasted the Power of the Matrix inside Kratos mind information about Pokemon what they were how people domesticated them. It was basic information about how to capture a Pokemon with a Pokeball, there was also basic information on Pokemon Battling and the offical League that ran tournaments and rules.
It was all pretty basic information and language but nothing useful or something Kratos should be concerned about. It souned too good to be true but it was all for a good measure as Arceus also gave Kratos Twelve Ultra Ball's. The power of a small Matrix where his Pokeball's couldn't be stolen. He could store items or Pokeball's to rest and heal or eat while they were not in a battle.
"Your mission if you choose to accept is to help out the Poke pantheon by showcasing our incredible power and restoring mortal belief in them" said Arceus. "I accept if only to be rid of your annoying voice for a bit so let's leave" said Kratos. "I cannot leave this area since i must stabilize the Matrix otherwise it could have some unsettling consequences, though worry not as i will give you gifts on your journey while you alone must gather all the other Legendary Poke God's" said Arceus. Kratos grabbed ahold of this Matrix when he touched the many different lines of code it instantly fused with his body merging with him and granting him a few power up's. "Currently i only know where only one of my direct children is located his name is Ho Oh he is the God of rainbows and happiness if you can capture him than he should be able to lead you to the rest of the Pantheon through his powers alone but you must find the rest alone" said Arceus.
Happy fourth of July this was kinda on my mind on how or who should have been considered as an isakai. Like i could have gotten anyone else to do it but i wanted to read about Legendary Pokemon and noticed a incredibly disappointing lack of content concerning them.
Information
Kratos will be op, i only played Diamond in game, watched some anime when i was younger, I downloaded a Pokedex that works offline so that i can work on it. There will only be Legendary pokemon allowed. Probably make some Pokemon up if i run out of them like a Firework Legendary.
