Chapter 2

Kratos had found his own way out of the cavern system that he fell inside of, his method of climbing down was unorthodox since he would just need to climb down the sides of the mountain. It was quick and easy work to reach the base of the mountain, pulled up the map function on the Matrix and followed the route Arceus had given him on where to find Ho Oh. Kratos walked through many beautiful and exotic biome's often ending in many Pokemon just fleeing when Kratos walked through. He hadn't needed to fight since that brawl with those Pseudo Legendaries it almost felt too easy. He reached a nest during the night that definitely belonged to the Legendary if all the Rainbow Feathers were any indication.

Kratos looked around the large room inspecting it for anything he could use to his advantage. From what he remembered Pokemon would only fight when either their eggs, nest, territory, or mate would be threatened. It was the same with every animal if Kratos was brutally honest. Animals would ether fight or flee in the face to a threat to their home. Then a flapping sound came from a huge entrance from the sky. Kratos knew it was time he walked up towards the Legendary. "Bird listen to me your father Arceus has given me a quest to capture you, surrender now i i will make this painless as possible for you". After Kratos spoke Ho Oh looked up from what he was doing and understood the pale man. Once Ho Oh heard his father's name he spread out his wings and let out a squawk in a challenging tone. "Hard way it is then" Kratos battle ready had begun his assault on the Legendary bird it was fast and strong where he needed to use his Blade's of Chaos to hold on as strong currents of wind had almost blown him over. He was a Spartan and strong so once the current's died down he launched the boulder he was holding on to. The Ho Oh didn't see it coming when the bolder smashed it against the wall it got really angry and let out fire.

The fire it let out caused fire and brimstone to be let out in every direction causing the Spartan to receive slight singed skin. Out of nowhere he got through most of the fire by pushing a smoldering bolder closer and closer while Ho Oh sent out blast after blast of fire in waves because he had stored up enough Spartan rage he picked up and threw the boulder stunning Ho Oh again. The bolder was larger this time so Kratos started punching the bird trying to knock it around until it was unconscious. Ho Oh was hurting and let out a move Burn Up it's entire body shuddered as a complete inferno of fire blasted the cave up in an inferno of blazing fire energy. Kratos flew through the air completely burning but landed in a natural spring that attack was suprising and actually damaged the Spartan.

Kratos exited the Spring to see that Ho Oh was still weasing from the ammount of power it had expelled. It could no longer hold a flame from what Kratos can see. Quickly Kratos snuck around in the shadow and pushed a huge rock over an edge where he guessed Ho Oh would be it took some effort but the bird Pokemon didn't move in favor to catching it's breath. Ho Oh had never seen such a trainer that didn't use Pokemon to battle. He had soured in the sky's undisturbed for hundreds of year's maybe he was telling the truth when he mentioned Arceus gave him a quest. Just then Ho Oh heard a crack and looked up watching as a bolder half his size was falling towards him with an angry Spartan on it. Kratos pushed the bolder and rode atop using it to reach the bottom. The bird was now buried under an incredible weight.

Watching for any further movement from his first Pokemon Kratos just waited and healed himself further. The proud Spartan missed the feeling of an actual battle for a while, the untested bird had clearly never fought before but it was strong. Untested but strong the Pokemon had almost won the battle if luck hadn't been with him when he landed in what was probably Ho Oh's water bowl. He severely underestimated the powers of these God Pokemon and would need to be cautious when encountering more. On a different note Ho Oh was probably unconscious and it was a perfect time for a capture. Opening up the Matrix he grabbed a Ultra Ball and brought it to Ho Oh. The Matrix was already in action and with the power that Ho Oh now provided could communicate with Arceus directly through a screen. The Matrix asked if he wanted to give Ho Oh a nickname, at that request Kratos shrugged and thought up a name. The Matrix asked are you sure you want "Ho Oh" to have the nickname "Bird". Clicking yes it brought up the screen with Arceus "Hello Kratos, long time no see, though i see you managed to catch Ho Oh even without a normal Pokemon" at that Kratos just grunted a reply. "Well, so as not to waste your time your Matrix gets more powerful every time you capture a Pokemon. While normal Pokemon can be caught i wouldn't advise to do so since that would require more Pokeball's than what you were given, normal mortal Pokemon do generate power but are able to get Old and die quickly in the Matrix. I had already seen Ho Oh and spoken to him about you, he really didn't like the nickname you given him but that was "Birds" problem not his"

Kratos cut the call and now just waited until the Health Pool from what he could see the Matrix provided him for Bird was good enough to fly him to his next Legendary. He looked around the area and found hieroglyphs showing Ho Oh being worshipped. Grunting Kratos eventually left the area and found a nice river to rest for today he had caught one Legendary Pokemon and was one step closer to completing his goal's. Kratos spent time spear fishing catching regular fish and Magikarp alike. Apparently the diversity in wildlife didn't affect a single species enough Pokemon were stronger than Predators and Predators didn't exist as much since Wolves wouldn't hunt human's, at least here they didn't. When he got up he dusted himself off he still wore his quilt and stayed shirtless while he journeyed, his blade's of Chaos he still held on to and the chains were etched on his skin. He stayed silent eventually he brought out the Bird's ball and clicked the button on the center at least to say hello or to see if it would follow his directions.

A red laser had shot out of the ball forming into the Legendary Pokemon "Bird" Kratos had said to the Pokemon slowly turning around to face him. The Bird towered above Kratos by more than twice his hight, that was impressive since Kratos was almost Six foot by the Last time he checked. The Legendary Pokemon and Kratos had a staring contest and they both wouldn't back down towards a challenge. It lasted for a total of five minutes before Kratos came closer grabbed ahold of his feathers and hopped on Bird's back. "Take me to the nearest Legendary Arceus said you would know where they would live". In a split second Ho Oh launched himself in the air, going at speed's that would kill a regular mortal. He didn't exactly go easy on Kratos since they hated one another, Kratos just shrugged and kept himself serious as they went off to find another Legendary.

The trip through the air was stupidly long do to Ho Oh trying acrobatics to launch Kratos off of him. Kratos was about to put the bird Pokemon back in it's place before they found their new target. Ho Oh dived at the Pokemon attacking it before it dodged out of the way. Kratos looked at the new Pokemon and scanned it with the Matrix revealing it to be a Legendary Pokemon. It was tiny compared to Ho Oh a little taller than Kratos but he had taken down things worse. "Suicune, surrender now" Kratos asked politely. Suicune took one look at Kratos then one look at Ho Oh and decided to try and escape instead of fight. It launched a whole wave of water at the two. Kratos at the last second evaded by jumping on Ho Oh while the wave of water swept up the tree's.

Ho Oh followed Suicune as it tried to escape and alighted up forest as it blasted fire at it. Kratos thought ahead and told Ho Oh to try getting ahead of it, Suicune saw that it wasn't getting chased anymore that was when it got struck by a skydiving Ho Oh but it narrowly missed causing Ho Oh to get stuck. Suicune looked at her brother and laughed at his failed attack, Kratos had fallen at a slower rate than Ho Oh and he also tackled the Legendary and tossing it against a tree. Suicune was angry that it had gotten hurt against her opponents she was a dangerous water type and forcefully casted Rain Dance and Blizzard at the same time. The area they were in started producing hail and getting really cold and wet. It launched Hydro Pump's at the two of her opponents, it was spraying water everywhere like crazy. Trees got knocked down and new river's were formed in an instant it caused everything to get wet. Ho Oh was shielding Kratos from the onslaught even though they were at each other's neck's before, he didn't need protection but strategically it made sense. Eventually it all died down but Ho Oh was exhausted so Kratos decided he wasn't going to waste his companions courageous act. He wispered a command to his companion and activated his rage. He flew towards Suicune punching it ten times in a single second and continued fighting it again and again aggressively. Suicune was so shocked a human was punching it that it became stunned.

Eventually Kratos threw it at Ho Oh who used a weakened version of burn up as a final hurrah since it still didn't fully recover from fighting Kratos himself. The area lit up in intense flame causing Suicune to intensely burn but because it was a water type it didn't suffer as much as it could have. Suicune put out the fire to see Kratos walk up to it's injured form. It wasn't spared a punch to the face Knocking it out instantly, Kratos then used another Pokeball to capture the injured Suicune.

Arceus started calling Kratos since he captured another Legendary Pokemon. "So two for two, nice job Kratos but the battles will only get harder from here on out. There is a reason why you should head towards the city's Kratos, Pokemon battling is probably the best form of experience you can give your Pokemon. But that isn't the only reason because with more worshippers your Pokemon will only become stronger based on how often you summon them. It's necessary to get your name out there and show the true power of Pokemon". Kratos just grunted in reply as the call ended he still needed to give Suicune a nickname like he did with Bird but he couldn't think of one, since his first Pokemon Ho Oh had a bad namesake he wasn't going to mess up a second time and told the Matrix no he didn't want to give it one. By the time he had been remembered he left Ho Oh on the floor from the fight and returned him to His Pokeball Ho Oh had become knocked unconscious. He checked his belt now that it was showing that Kratos now had two Pokeball's attached to him but also some how connected to the Matrix.

So now that he was waiting around for his Pokemon to heal up he literally had nothing to do. That was an hour ago before he heard squeaky noises coming from the wood's. "Alright Pikachu i know you heard it fome from here, woah what the heck happened to this whole area. Woah what happened here do you see that Pikachu there are tree's stuck to the side of that rock. Check it out there's somebody over there". Ash walked up to the unknown man and introduced himself "Hi im Ash Ketchum from Pallet Town and im going to be the best Pokemon Trainer in the world someday" Ash told the Spartan. Kratos looked at the new non threat as he told Kratos his ambitions.

"Ash where did you run off to, oh there you are but whose that" Misty asked. "Hmm, Right boy as i was saying my Pokemon are still recovering so they are unable to battle for the moment at full strength. Doesn't that mean your alone out here, aren't you scared" Misty asked the Spartan. "No, Im not scared if that is what you are asking" Kratos answered. "Well he can travel with us right Misty" Ash asked because he wanted to battle Kratos and his Pokemon. Misty looked at the shirtless man in a kilt with bulging muscles and wicked looking scars and blade's on his back. "I don't know Ash he look's kinda menacing and not friendly" Misty asked.

Ash looked again at Kratos seeing Misty's point "uh, Kratos you won't attack us while we return to town will you" Ash asked. "No not unless you can hurt me yourself" Kratos answered. "See he's harmless" Ash told Misty. As they all walked and talked together heading off towards their next adventure together.
