Ch 3 The War Has Begun

Peter got ready for the first day back to school, however, things were a bit different than the previous years. The young Hero looks in the mirror, noting that…Servant he Summoned last night was in his room.

"So…Archer, was it?" Peter turns to the light blue-haired Servant, sitting on his chair. "Why exactly are you here?" The brown-haired Teen asked the Archer,

Archer smiles, crossing her legs and then her arms. "I came because I heard your Summons to the Holy Grail War." The Servant said with a smile, "A chance to win the Holy Grail and be given a Wish. Who wouldn't want that?"

Peter just stares at his Servant, not getting one bit of what he said. "What?"

The Servant sighs, looking up at her Summoner. "To simplify it, a Holy Grail War is in all sense a War against Seven Servant and master pairs." She explains, raising her hand to the side. "Servants are Heroes who made their marks in History that are Summoned by masters (which is you) to win the Holy Grail," Archer explains to the young master.

"In short, we Servants will fight for our masters against each other to win a Wish from the Holy Grail," Archer explains, looking at her master to see if he's following. "Do you get it, master?"

Peter's stare remains the same at Archer, "What you just said…sounds complete bullshit." He said before emphasizing what he means, "No offense or anything but you can't be a Hero from the past; since it's scientifically impossible to Summon a Hero from the Past."

"And to add to it, Summoning something is Magic and Magic does not exist," Peter stated, crossing his arms.

Archer raised her eyebrow, staring at her master, "Then what do you call me? I did appear out of nowhere, master." The Servant said,

Peter crosses his arms, "Teleportation Device error." He stated, giving a scientific reason for her Materialization. "You were probably an Asgardian who accidentally teleported here,"

'There's Norse Divinities still lingering here? No, wait that's not the point.' Archer thought before moving on to her next question. "What about the light-"

"Teleportation residue," Peter smirks, still going for the whole Asgardians spiel.

Archer's eye twitched, "What about your Command Seals on your right hand, master?" Her eyes seafoam green eyes gaze over to the three Spider shape Command Seals on his hand.

Peter looks at the Command Seals, now thinking about how to cover this up. They keep on appearing on everything, even on his Costume glove, it appears like it was tattooed on.

"Simple, it's a homing beacon that was meant for your teleportation, but it got miscalculated and landed on my hand," Peter stated, crossing his arms, and sticking with Science. "Look, It's not my place to disprove your beliefs, but on the real note seriously stop calling me master!"

"I don't feel right having someone calling me that." Peter sighs, shaking his head. "Just call me Peter, no master Peter, Lord Peter, or Peter-sama." He said, stating his issue with this situation.

Archer shrugs, not having any issues with what her master suggested. "Alrighty then, Peter it is. Personally, the only Person whom I can call Lord is my Husband." She stated,

"Husband? You're married then?" Peter asked his Servant, "Then he must be looking for you in Asgard or-"

The light blue-haired Archer shook her head, crossing her arms. "I'm not an Asgardian, as of matter of fact my Origins are from Asia. That's all I can tell you since this is the First Holy Grail War in this World." She informed her master. "Also, my Husband didn't materialize here since he's an Archer based on his Legends."

Peter waved his hand, "Whatever floats your boat, Archer." He said before asking her something else. "Say, now that I think of it; you can't stay here Archer. If my Aunt May sees you then she'll start asking questions!" He warns his Servant, taking a look at her appearance.

"Especially when you are wearing something…not…decent," Peter cleared his throat, looking away from the Archer Servant.

The light blue-haired Archer giggles, standing up from her seat. "Worry not, mas-er Peter, I can go into Astral Form to hide from unexpecting guests." She dematerializes in front of her master, leaving him stunned. "So, besides I can't exactly leave your side when you're a master."

Peter blinks, placing his hand over his chin. "Gotta admit…that's one heck of a trick." He snaps his finger, knowing how to explain what he has seen. "Ah, is it a good Chameleon Device; did the Asgardian make it?"

Archer mentally moans, seeing that her master is a stubborn one. Then the bedroom door opened, revealing an old Lady with a kind expression. 'Wow, gotta admit, she looks good for her age. What's her secret?'

"Will you be quiet?" Peter hissed, hearing Archer's voice in his head.

"Peter? Was someone here just now? I could swear I heard someone speaking." May Parker asked, scanning the room for anyone with her Nephew.

Peter laughs, scratching his head. "Ah, sorry, I was talking to a Lab Partner I was assigned to in School. It's a long project and we might take months to finish it." He explains, coming up with a good excuse. "She can be…"

The young Man twirls his finger around the side of his head, hoping his Aunt May got the gist.

May nodded, understanding fully what her Nephew is saying. "Ah, I get it now." She smiles, before looking at him. "But Peter, it's not nice to call someone that. Even if they're not here," She scolded him lightly.

"R-Right, sorry Aunt May." Peter smiles, apologizing to his Aunt.

"Oh, and by the way it's almost time for school." May informed him of the time.

Peter nodded, grabbing his backpack. 'You know I can still hear you and caught everything you just said now.' Archer informed the young Hero.

'Um…just forget what I said, okay?" Peter said, walking out of his room, heading off to school.

'Whatever you say master.' Archer said, following her master to Midtown Highschool.

"You're following me. Aren't you?" Peter asked his Servant as they entered the Living room.

May was watching the Television when the news broadcast, horrified at what was showing. "Oh my," She held her hand to her mouth,

The young brown-haired teen was curious, looking at what his Aunt was watching. "Aunt May, what's wrong-" Peter's eyes shift to the screen, seeing what's showing.

"As you can see on this live footage, two Superpowered beings are Battling in broad daylight in the City." The Reporter informed the viewers who were watching.

They shift to the live broadcast, showing two strangely dressed People fighting.

One was wearing armor similar to Iron Man's armor; however, it was black and there were no core on his chest. However, there was a pattern of olive branches on his chest. He has orange plating on his shoulders and lower legs, he wore a futuristic helmet with glowing orange eyes.

In his hand was a large spear made from the material as his armor. The tip of the spear was holographic and had an orange hue, almost like a plasma ray.

The man thrust his Spear at his Opponent, only to have it deflected by a wooden Sword with black sharp stones on the edges.

The Opponent was something else, she was a woman with dark skin and hair and claws. She wore golden bracelets, a golden belt, feathers around her ankle, and a black cape around her exposed body. But the thing that stood out most was the large headdress with blue feathers.

On her face was a Human skull as a mask. "HAHAHAHAHA! IS THAT REALLY YOU CAN DO, LANCER!?" The Woman asked, swinging a Macahuitl at the Lancer.

However, Lancer blocked the attack before leaping back. "Enemy Servant confirm. Assassin, Divine Spirit Origins." The armored Servant took note of the Enemy. He then jumps back as Assassin slams her Weapon on the terrace of a Building, creating a dust cloud.

She grins, as the dust shrouds her entire being. "You think that was my true attack?" Three black daggers hurled toward the armored Lancer; however, he blocked them.

Once the dust cleared, Assassin was gone. "Searching for Assassi-GAK!" Lancer felt a strong slash from behind,

Flying in the air with butterfly-like wings, Assassin laughs as she holds her Macahuitl in the air. She grins as Lancer hits the Building before hitting the pavement where the People were running for their lives."Is this really what the other Servants are like in this Grail War? Talk about pathic," She dismisses her Weapon for black daggers, ready to charge at him.

"I'll make this quick, die you good for nothing!" She laughs, diving down from the air.

Lancer looks up, already gaining the knowledge he needs from their bout. "Now disengaging from combat, Battle combat data complete." He spoke, mentally sending his report to his master. "Orders receive, retreating now."

"DIE LANCER AHAHAHAHA!" Assassin laughs, having an upper hand in their Battle. Just when she was about to deliver the final blow,

Lancer dematerialize, retreating from the fight.

The skull-masked Assassin growls as the People were running around. She took a deep breath, now calm unlike before. "Seems Lancer has left, unfortunate. Well, until next time Lancer," She smiles before taking off to regroup with her master.

The television returns to the Reporter after broadcasting the footage. "After the fierce fight between these two, it left many collateral damages and left many with severe injuries." The Reporter said, he then continued with the report and what the Police got to say,

"Oh my, those two Superpowered beings are something." May turns to Peter, worried for her Nephew. "Peter, I want you to be extra careful especially when going to your work."

Peter nodded, understanding his Aunt's plight. "I understand, Aunt May and don't worry. I won't get near any of those People." He lied, obviously going to investigate later on what happened there.

May gave a warm smile to Peter, "I know you will, and you better get going, Peter. It's almost time for School." She said, walking to the kitchen.

A few minutes later, Peter, now Spiderman, swung through the City, getting to school. "Okay, so those two were obvious Villains who have it out for each other. But what's the deal?" He shot out another web, swinging near Midtown High. "Supervillains don't go around and attack each other in broad daylight."

'That's because they're Servants, Peter.' Archer informed her master on who those two are. 'They're not Supervillains like you fought, but their masters probably wanted to test the waters since this is the First Grail War.'

"Really? So what, their so-called masters lack any common sense to fight in a secret place?" Spiderman asked, landing on his Highschool's rooftop. "On top of that, it seems you know them. Do you, Archer?" He asked.

Archer shook her head, 'Not entirely, but based on their Weapons it's best to say, the one with the big Spear is Lancer, and the one with the daggers and Sword is Assassin or Saber.'

Spiderman climbs down into the back alley, where he proceeds to change into his normal clothing. "Okay, Lancer, Assassin, Saber, Archer? What's with these names you are saying?"

'It's best to speak to a professional,' Archer explains, receiving knowledge that there was indeed an Overseer in this Grail War. 'I do suggest that you find time to see the Overseer of the Holy Grail War, Peter. He might be able to help you to understand what's going on."

"Huh? There's someone who-" Peter bumped into someone, distracted by Archer talking. "Sorry, I didn't-hey, Gwen." He greeted her after months of not talking.

The blonde Girl with a pink sweater and jeans looks up at Peter, "H-Hey, Peter. It's been a while," Gwen greeted him,

Peter nodded, "Yeah, it has…" He looks away, still remembering the Day they confess and the whole drama along with it. "So, how's it been? I know you've been keeping an eye on Harry after the funeral."

Gwen smiles, tugging the long sleeve on her hand. "It's been difficult, but great nonetheless." She said before seeing his hand, "I'm sorry Peter, but I can't talk right now. I promised to help prepare the Lab for today's lesson." She turns around, leaving Peter alone in the Schoolyard.

"Uh, sure catch you…later then…weird, Gwen changed a bit. She's more…"

'Timid? I know the feeling,' Archer spoke, knowing how this Gwen person speak. 'She must be hiding something,'

Peter shrugs, not thinking anything of it. "It's probably because we haven't talked for a while," He said, walking to the entrance of the School.

Above a Building, Ruler of Brooklyn observes the interactions between Archer's master and others. "Seems like Archer's master doesn't have the desire for the Holy Grail, the others however do."

"…" Ruler closes his eyes before turning back to the other masters. "I better keep an eye on Archer's master. Most likely that the master of Chaldea will ask for his help." He said before leaping away from Midtown Highschool.

Sanctum Santorum

Ritsuka groans, feeling like he has been hit by a truck. "Ow, okay never remind Da Vinci never to do a Rayshift in the Dimensional Plane." He said, sitting up,

He then blinks, realizing that he was on a soft sofa in a comfy room. "Where…"

"Harry James Potter, a Wizard who was abandoned by his Family and turns to Magecraft under the tutelage of the Kaleidoscope." Ritsuka turns his head, seeing a man in blue robes and a red cape sitting on a chair reading a book. "Gotta say, you have chosen an interesting name for your new life, Ritsuka Fujimaru."

"Director of the Chaldea Security Organization, Humanity's final master, the Champion chosen by Alaya and Gaia, Student of Zelretch, and much more." The Man spoke, flipping through the book. "Gotta admit, that's a lot of titles for a singular Magus to have, even for me."

He then flips the page, and his eyes widen, impressed by what he's seeing. "And you've even defeated ORT and Sefar…impressive, not many would claim that." He chuckles, continuing reading.

Ritsuka raised his eyebrow at the man before recognizing him as…"You, you're Steven Strange."

Steven closed his book in one hand, turning his head to Ritsuka. "Dr. Steven Strange, but in any case, it's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Fujimaru." He corrected the Magus. "I've been expecting you since your Mentor came to visit."

"Wait, you mean Zelretch was here?" Ritsuka asked before frowning at the thought of his Mentor being here. "What did he do this time?"

The Sorcerer shook his head, "Nothing that would cause you any concern." Steven said, closing his book. "All he said is to accommodate you and your Servants upon your arrival to our World." He informed Ritsuka what his Mentor said to him.

Ritsuka blinks before looking around for his Servants. "Where…is my Servants?" He asked, not seeing them anywhere in the room.

"Ah, right." In a quick motion, the two were in a different room,

Flat dropped a knife displayed on the table, "Gah! That was unexpected." He looks down, seeing the blade split in half. "Heh," He kicks it under the table, hiding it from the Sorcerers.

Archimedes gave a sigh of relief, seeing their master was up and about. "Master, it pleases us you're awake after Rayshifting to this Dimension." The Caster greeted his master.

"Caster, Flat, you're all right," Ritsuka smiles at his Servants safe after the Rayshift. "Though I gotta admit, I didn't expect to be Rayshifted to the Sanctum Santorum of all places." The Magus said.

The Assassin grins, feeling like his Childhood dream was coming true. "I know, right master? Since I was younger, I wanted to know how it feels to visit a Superhero World." The Pseudo-Servant commented, smiling as he looked around the Sanctum Santorum.

"I'm glad you and your Servant are enjoying themselves in our World," Steven spoke, seeing the ecstatic expression on the blonde Servant's face. He wasn't expecting Servants to be this carefree,

"If you don't mind, Dr. Strange, why did Zelretch ask you to help us?" Ritsuka asked the Sorcerer Supreme, finding it strange for his Mentor to be assisting him behind the scene.

Steven ponders, remembering what the Dead Apostle told them. "He told us about your hunt for the Foreigner Servant you faced in the last Anomaly." He told the Chaldean master about their target. "A Foreigner, huh? A Servant that's infused with Outer Gods…you have a massive task ahead of you,"

"If you know about Foreigner, then he must be here in this Anomaly then," Ritsuka said, taking what Dr. Strange said as a hint to where Dorian Grey is.

Archimedes nodded, going along with his master. "An excellent assumption master," The Caster looks over Dr. Strange, "Doctor, do you have any ideas where the Foreigner is now?"

The black-haired man shook his head, "Unfortunately, I have only detected an Entity (assumingly your Foreigner) made a brief stop here, but that's all." Steven explains to the Chaldeans.

Flat crossed his arms, tapping his arm. "Hmmm…so like a pit stop then? Boo…here I thought we might be able to take down one of the big honchos of the Enemy master." The Assassin pouts, leaning to the side.

"So, what did Foreigner, Dorian Grey do here?" Ritsuka asked the Sorcerer Supreme.

"Dorian Grey? He's the Foreigner Servant you're after?" Steven asked, still surprised that a Fictional Character could be a Servant, especially one who houses an Outer God. "In any case, to answer your previous question, your Foreigner Servant has erected the First Holy Grail War in this World."

"What?" Ritsuka, Archimedes, and Flat did not expect that Foreigner would enact another Grail War.

After a few minutes of explaining the situation, the three Chaldeans got the gist. "That's pretty much the gist of it," Steven explains to the Chaldeans, "There are Seven masters and Seven Servants, each fighting for the Holy Grail Dorian Grey has entrusted another Servant but can't tell who they are."

"They haven't shown themselves," Steven said before asking the Chaldeans if they have any more questions for him. "Mr. Fujimaru, is there anything you and your Companions want to know?"

Ritsuka ponders before asking the Sorcerer Supreme. "Did any Servants and masters fight during this Grail War?" He asked,

Steven nodded, remembering the News from this morning. "It was right before you came, this morning there was a fight between Lancer and his master against Assassin and her master." He informed the group,

"Right in broad daylight? I thought Battles for the Holy Grail takes place in secrecy." Archimedes asked, finding it strange that a Holy Grail War like this was being fought in public areas.

"Don't you and your Sorcerers keep Mystery a secret like in our World?" Flat asked, knowing Mystery is kept secret from the public no matter where in the Multiverse, other than a few places.

"As I said, this is the first Holy Grail War, and the Masters of the Mystic Arts aren't well prepared for dealing with Heroic Spirits." Steven informed the group, "My Assistant is doing everything he can to calm the situation out in the City, however, it's going to be difficult considering who the master is." The Sorcerer Supreme placed his hand on his chin.

Ritsuka heard what Dr. Strange said, quickly responding to his statement. "Dr. Strange, do you know who Assassin and Lancer's masters are?" He asked,

The dark-haired Man looks at the Magus, realizing he didn't tell them. "Right, I do know one of them." He said, frowning at the rules placed for the War. "Since I'm Sorcerer Supreme, I have higher duties and duties as Overseer of the Holy Grail War. I can't tell you since you're a participant am I right?" He asked,

'He's the Overseer? Makes sense since he's one of the most powerful Sorcerers here in this World.' Ritsuka thought as he listened to him. "Alright then, I respect that, but just to let you know. If I'm a Participating master, how come there were Seven masters and Servants when I have two?" He asked,

Flat paused, realizing that if this is really a Holy Grail then there should be only one Servant with Ritsuka. "Master's right, Caster and I are here, so if he's a Participant then only one of us should be here and not the other."

The brown-haired Caster nodded, "And from what you told us, an Assassin Servant has shown herself so Flat can't be here if master really is a part of the Grail War." Archimedes said, adding another point to their position.

Ritsuka looks straight at the former Medical Doctor, seeing that they weren't a part of the Grail War. "So in all, tell us who the masters are won't be violating any rules of the Grail War." The Magus pointed out, familiar with Holy Grail War rules.

"You…do have a point," Steven said, seeing their logic since he presumes that Ritsuka was a master candidate, but he was wrong. "In any case before I tell you who their master is. I highly suggest that you don't go all willy-nilly and defeat them just because you're an Outsider to this Grail War."

Ritsuka nodded, knowing there were still rules to follow despite them being not Participants. "Understood," He replied,

"Lancer's master is smart; I assume he's using a surveillance device to watch over him during the fight with Assassin," Steven explains, sensing Lancer's master's presence nowhere in the area. "However, Assassin's master is close. I'm how entirely strong, but Assassin is very strong, probably her master has close ties with her or something." He explains to the Chaldean master.

"In all sense, I only know Assassin's master's identity and he is…"

Abandoned Building

In an abandoned Building, a blonde man wearing a black shirt, blue jeans, and brown shoes. On his right hand were three red sigils in three parts that make up a Spider.

He paced around, even after he escaped from his room in the Mental Hospital. By now the Authorities are searching for him as of right now.

He walks to the edge of the window, awaiting for his Servant to return after reconnaissance. "Where is she, I know we've encountered an unexpecting turn with…Lancer? Anyways, she should be at leas-"

The blonde man turns around, seeing Butterflies swarming from the cracks of the building he was in. Soon they morph into a familiar sight to the man,

"Forgive my tardiness, master. I Assassin, have arrived." The Assassin greeted her master, floating with the help of her wings.

"Assassin, did you find it after the Battle with Lancer?" He asked his Servant, desperate if she found what he's been looking for since he escaped,

Assassin smiles, holding out her hand to the blonde Man. There in her palms was a signal black gooey substance, "Is this what you're looking for, master? This singular blob of Alien Bacteria?" She asked before seeing her master desperately take it from her palms. "It seems to be dead,"

"Well, aren't you a jitterbug, master." She said, watching him as he tried to put the slime on his skin.

"W-Why isn't working!? Come on! It's me, Eddie Brock!" Eddie Brock, formerly known as Venom screams at the remnant of the Symbiote.

Assassin frowns, crossing her arms at her master, "Master, that won't work. That type of Bacteria won't respond from what you told me." She stated,

Eddie looks at the Servant he Summoned, curious about what she means. "What? How do you know, you just appeared out of nowhere!" He hissed as she kneeled before him.

"Master, I know a lot more about this Bacteria you desperately hold." Assassin spoke, her claws on his shoulders. She gave a smile to him, ensuring Eddie that he'd get his power back. "Trust me when I say; you need to jolt it back to life. After all…"

"You did Summon a Servant who, unlike this World's version of me…are from the same Origins." Assassin smirks, taking the Symbiote from Eddie's hands.
