Verosika's next big performance was a spring break concert at PC Beach, Florida. There were tens of thousands of people in attendance thanks to lower than average ticket prices, and it looked like she was going overboard with the special effects this time. Most likely the fog effects were the dispersal method for the gas, but how the hell was she going to prevent the sarin from dispersing in the air in an open concert, or these people running for their lives? Intel suggests she was obsessed with killing absolutely everyone here. That's when Moxxie saw something that horrified him. "Sir! Look at that! The stage crew is moving some of their pyrotechnic equipment over to the main exits. Do you think she-""I'm sure of it. Bitch mas some makeshift flamethrowers set up to keep people in the gas." This means that they have a lot to do and not a lot of time to do it. Blitzo and M&M go over their plan to stop this.
All three agree that stealth and secrecy are needed to prevent a panic and keep Verosika from catching on. "The first thing we need to do is find the fog machines, Moxxie and Millie, that is your priority." M&M give a quick nod and get to work. There are a lot of stage hands behind the scenes, so it was relatively easy to incapacitate two unlucky ones and take their clothes. They made their way to the fog machines and saw that the liquid sarin had yet to be mixed into the machines. They were able to neutralize the liquid with a prepared chemical agent and move on, leaving everyone else completely unaware. The flamethrowers aimed at the people from the exits were also sabotaged by simply making sure they aimed skyward.
Blitzo allowed himself to relax a little: Verosika and her cultist entourage were amateurs, "not a one of these idiots have any training beyond brewing a little bathtub nerve gas." He thought to himself. "Well, now I almost feel insulted." A strange voice said behind Blitzo. He turned around and saw a huge black guy standing over him. Blitzo quickly got to his feet and pulled his taser on him. "Who the hell are you?" He demanded. The stranger put his arms up and calmly explained himself. "I'm Vortex, I was part of Verosika's security detail for about a year now-" "Wait, you work security? You look like you're barely out of highschool." "Can we please focus on the crazy cultist pop star?" "Right, right." "Anyway, I knew about her weird religious stuff from the beginning but I thought it was typical Hollywood new age crap until I saw her bring in cows to this custom basement in her house, and their bodies were buried outside with a bulldozer, and she would just come out covered in blood and looking pissed off. It didn't take me long to figure out she was actually sacrificing them, and not getting what she wanted." "And you saw the weird chemicals added to the fog machines and finally figured out her next trick would be human sacrifice." Blitzo could see the fear in Vortex's eyes as he told him his story. "I do not want to be part of some terrorism shit, and I'm pretty sure you are part of the FBI or something to stop this insanity, so let me officially turn myself in or whatever."
"Well Vortex, the good news is that my company is indeed here to stop her, and we have already sabotaged the sarin and the flamethrowers. But we aren't the FBI. We are-" Blitzo was interrupted by his walkie going off. "Sir! You gotta see this!" Blitzo was so preoccupied listening to Vortex that he forgot about Verosika. He quickly turned around to see her having a full fledged meltdown on stage, screaming and tearing apart equipment as she stormed backstage. The crowd was booing and jeering behind her. "Her plan didn't work and she's showing it!" Blitzo said. "Ok, Vortex, do you want to help bring her in?" Vortex did, but he was still confused about Blitzo saying he wasn't FBI. Still, that could wait until later. Vortex led Blitzo backstage to where Verosika was still enraged, screaming abuse at her entourage. Moxxie and Millie had regrouped right next to Blitzo and Vortex, after a brief introduction, everyone got ready to take her down. Tear gas was thrown, and the cult was stormed. Most of them were quickly taken down, but Verosika was almost completely unaffected by the gas. She literally threw Moxxie and Millie out of her way as she pounced onto Blitzo.
"YOU!" She screamed in rage at her ex. "You ruined my chance at immortality!" She had her hands around his throat, and BLitzo was starting to black out when Vortex swung a baseball bat right against the side of Verosika's head, finally knocking her out. As the police came in and Blitzo confirmed the wireless transfer for this job, he got a call from an unknown number that for some reason he could not decline or let it go to voicemail. Finally he answered with some annoyance "who is this?" "Your sister is our captive, if you fail to do as we say she will die." Blitzo had not thought about his estranged sister for years, the heartache from that was still raw. Hearing her life threatened enraged him. "Listen you son of a bitch, I don't-" Blitzo was cut off by the voice on the other line. "We also have the daughter of your lover, he will call soon to confirm this, we will call again in one hour." The call ended, and right then a call from Stolas came. Blitzo was now trying to hold back the panic he felt as he answered. "Blitzo! My precious little girl is gone!"
