Blitzo first met Stolas when he was taking a contract on his ex-wife. They were one of those British noble families that faded into the background until a scandal broke out. In this case Stella actually tried to hire a hitman to kill Stolas, and she managed to find the one guy who wasn't a con man or an undercover fed. That crazy cowboy bastard made the whole thing a shitshow, but after Stolas fled to the US, P.M.I managed to take him and a remarkably determined Stella down. It started as a professional relationship, but it started to grow after Stolas and his daughter Octivia decided to stay in the states. Now Stolas was in a full panic, and Blitzo was unable to get a word in until he shouted "STOLAS" and began asking the questions he needed to. "What happened? Give me a timeline here." Stolas was finally able to calm down enough to tell Blitzo what actually happened. "My daughter has been having a bit of a hard time adjusting to life in the United States, so I was planning a vacation to Yellowstone. She had always wanted to see some of America's natural beauty, especially some of the less light polluted skies. I was in the middle of a conversation with her about it when I went to the next room to get something, when I came back she was gone. I looked everywhere in the house for her, but then I got a message on my phone with this on it!" Stolas forwarded an image of poor Octivia bound and gagged next to Barbie. Even after all these years Blitzo still recognized her.
Blitzo realized how fucked he and Stolas were, so they needed to do what the kidnappers wanted, at least for now. "Alright Stolas, these assholes are going to call back in about 40 minutes from now. Get to P.M.I headquarters, we can listen to what they want and hopefully track the call." Stolas managed to get to HQ just in time to hear the next message sent out by the kidnappers. "At the end of this conversation, Blitzo and Stolas are to go through the portal that will appear on the east wall of the P.M.I main conference room, failure to comply will result in the death of Octiva and Barbie." The mention of a portal had everyone confused, but sure enough there was a brief flash of light as what looked like a rectangular hole in reality itself appeared, on the other side where two bipedal creatures with bright red skin, hooves, and black or black and white horns, one looked like a female and the other a male. Apparently, they were as surprised as Blitzo and co. because they soon began to frantically turn the pages in an ancient looking book "Dammit, Duo, they aren't supposed to be able to see us!" the male said. "Shut up, Unus." the other snapped back. The portal closed and PMI was left dumbfounded for a second before it opened again with the same two creatures. "FUCK!" screamed the one named Duo. "You're ruining this! Let me try." the other said, and soon an almost childish tug of war for the book began for all to see.
At this moment, Millie's instincts kicked in. She ran through the portal and decked both of them before they had any idea what was going on and took the book. Blitzo was horrified that his employee would do something that could have endangered the hostages. "Millie, what the flying fuck do you think your doing!?" he whispered as loud as he dared. "Come on, Blitzo. Like you can't see this is a trap?" "Yes, but the two people at stake are not-" The creatures got back on their feet and realized who had their book. "Give that back, you hairless fucking ape!" Duo screamed. "Sorry y'all, but we're gonna need some proof that you haven't Octavia or Barbie yet." Duo looked so angry that she would have pounced on her like a rabid animal, but Unus seemed to have regained some of his composure and held her back. He began to quickly whisper into her ear, and they seemed to have come to an agreement. He turned to the humans and said "Well played, little mortal. We do indeed need that book rather urgently, but we still have Barbie and Octavia." Unus opened an ornate door that was behind him to reveal the two unfortunate women chained to the wall and gagged. Blitzo and Stolas looked like they were ready to copy Millie and jump in, except the two demons had accomplices holding glaves to their hostages' throats. "You may think you have bought yourself an advantage, but all you have done is endanger millions of lives, already you have done incalculable damage we will need to clean up. We will resume negotiations in one day." Unus and Duo then tried to close the portal on their end, but failed. Ultimately they let out an exasperated sigh and motioned to someone out of sight, and what looked like a huge wall of cement appeared in front of the portal, with its supernatural outlines still present.
Everyone at P.M.I was left in a state of shock at all of this insanity, until Blitzo remembered what Millie had done "Millie, care to explain your logic behind your little stunt?" Blitzo said as he tried his damndest to not go berserk. "Boss, you're the one who told us that sometimes we can only go with our gut on missions, and I knew those two…things were gonna screw us over. I took a chance to get some leverage over them." Blitzo hated being reminded of his own advice, but he could see her point. "Alright fine, but do anything that endangers my family like that again and I will strangle you with your own intestines." Blitzo then focused on what to do next. "Moxxie, Millie, get the compact weapons ready. Stolas, you said you studied ancient languages a little in college, right?" Stolas had been stunned by the whole affair and took a minute to compose himself. "Well, yes, but I don't see what that has to do with-" Blitzo took the book from Millie's hands and gave it to Stolas. "Take a look at this and see what you can make of it. I need to get myself centered." And with that the beginnings of a rescue operation were being formed.
