The Kitsune
The National Museum of Japanese History. In another Earth, there is an opening of the founding of the legendary weapon in the history of Japan. A girl, around 13, is blonde and wearing a black kimono with cherry blossoms imprinted on dress and a rose gold hairpin of the cherry blossom.
Olivia Dinah Queen, heiress of Queen Corporations and current head of the Queen Family despite at a young age was invited for the gala and ceremony as she dresses for the occasion, being a descendant of a knight, Sir Robert Queen I of England, Olivia held the title of head of her family. Accompanying her is a young man who seemed to be a high school graduate, blonde hair and dark skin wearing a suit and tux, and another girl with ginger hair and wearing a red, dragon themed, yukata dress with chopsticks on her half-bun tied to her hair.
By the time Olivia came across a security guard checking for invitations. She showed him the invitation. And explains to the guard that the other two people behind her are with her.
"Daijōbudesu, karera wa watashitoisshoni iru (It's alright, they're with me)." Olivia translate to the Japanese security guard to let the other two people in. The guard then hands back the invitation and smiled to greet the lady of the Queen Household with politeness.
"Irasshaimase, Olivia-sama (Welcome, Lady Olivia)." The guard bowed to her in respect. Olivia bowed back. "Dōmo arigatō." The three entered the museum. There, Olivia was greeted by the guest of the museum gala. "Miss Queen."
Either they bowed or shake hands as a greeting. The girl with ginger hair spoke as she was feeling the pains of high heels. "Ugh, remind me again why I have to wear those killer shoes?" Lian, the girl with ginger hair asked, wincing at the pain of her feet.
"That's the thing, dressing for the occasion in order to infiltrate the museum. According to a friend of mine, the Naginata of Tomoe Gozen had a hidden stone inside the blade." Olivia explained.
"I read the legend of Tomoe, but not of the mystery stone." Said Conner. Wearing a tux. Olivia and Connor are half-siblings with the same father. Though Connor decided not to disclose their relation to the public and would say he is just a friend. Or act as a bodyguard to his half-sister.
"I know, when I got word from Mr. Merlyn, since he had no idea I am a vigilante in secret, he mentioned a mystic stone that can give life back. My guess was that he wanted to raise an army of the undead. Instead of giving life back, it actually possesses the bodies of the dead. It's too cruel to hear it." Olivia explains.
"So he was gonna steal the Naginata, and raise an army of zombies. Like that's ever going to happen." Lian shook her head. But then stops as she hears her phone vibrating. It was from Joseph Wilson, a boy from her school, blonde and green eyes in the contact picture. For some reason, Lian is conflicted as if she didn't want to talk to him. So she hung up and left a texts.
Lian: Sorry, Joey. I have some things to do. I'll see you later.
She hits the sent button. And puts away her phone. Then focused on the ceremony. Connor noticed that Lian was frowning and upset. "Still hung over Tommy?" Asked Connor. Lian had felt romantic feelings for Tommy Merlyn, a boy around her age who shared the same interest as her. He felt the same, but because he is the son of the assassin, Dark Archer, Lian no longers wants to return those feelings. From now on, they are enemies.
Joseph, a friend of hers in her school was a source of comfort as he is patient and kind. Though reluctant to fight, and very shy. After Lian broke up with Tommy, she tried to think of him as an enemy. But when Joseph confessed his feelings for her, Lian felt like he would end up hurt because of the past and regrets. So she only decided to remain friend with Joseph.
"No, he's dead to me. Next time I see Prometheus, he's going to wish we never met." Lian snarled. "Let's just get this mission over with and go home." Lian said as she walked towards a crowd.
"Look, if you can't handle it, let me know if you want to sit this one out." Connor offers, Lian nods in agreement and continue on with the mission. Olivia hired one of her spies from the League of Shadows to keep updated.
"No prob, big bro." Olivia said to her brother. "One of my spies already got word that one of the shadows got here." Being an heiress of Queen Corporations, Olivia has no problem putting power to good use as a way to beat political villainy. Even if it meant breaking the rules.
Somewhere in the base of China (Earth-16), Mara Al-Ghul is practicing her kyūjutsu striking three targets with a blindfold. Afterwards she sparred with three high-ranking assassins working for her in order to keep up with her stamina. Possibly an heiress of the League of Shadows since her aunt, Talia Al-Ghul is now the new Demon's head.
Then one of the shadows bowed to her and gave her a burner cell phone. Mara responded. "Report."
"It is worst as we feared, Mistress Mara. We suspected a traced call that a spy is among The League of Shadows to tip off Green Arrow and Speedy. Codename; Black Canary." One of her associates called.
"Get Ravager, and see what they've been up to." Mara ordered. Then one of the shadows, as part of the sparring session
"Of course, Mistress." Then the call ended as Mara then turned to two of her men. "Prepare the jet to Japan." They bowed to her and left to prepare for departure.
Back in Earth-7...
"Guys, check this out!" Donnie gathered his brothers and friends, minus Leo, to show them a strange meteorite in his hands. "Whoa. Where did you get that?" Asked Mikey, it glows much brighter than any crystal he has ever seen.
"This isn't another one of those aeon crystals that made April gone crazy last time, right?" Casey asked. April elbowed him. "Ow. Sorry."
"No, not really. In fact this unlike any meteor I've ever seen. I can't even find it in the encyclopedias in mineralogy." Donnie said.
"In other words, it fell from the sky." Raph said, not finding it easy to believe. "This isn't another one of those Kraang experiments the utrom didn't know about, is it?" Raph secretly wanted some action on fighting evil aliens again. But none will happen.
"No, Raph. Not like the materials I have seen in Dimension X. If there was an origin behind this mineral, it might hold some power to it because of it's unit cells and kyanite."
Then the mineral had been glowing a lot brighter than a lava lamp. Causing the group to cover their eyes. "Whoa! It's official. It was from outer space!" Mikey shouted as the environment began to shake. And so was the entire city. But as the felt the ground shaking. The mineral stopped reacting and the earthquake is gone.
"What was that?!" Leo came back after he saw what was happening. They turned to him. "Sorry about this, Leo. But Donnie found this weird rock and it brought the world shaking!" Mikey told him.
"I don't care what that things is! But it has got to go!" Raph retorted, surely wanting it gone after it nearly caused an earthquake.
"Meathead, we cannot simply get rid of it unless we know what it is. Maybe I should take a further look at it to-" Donnie paused as the mineral had glowed again and every sparks of electricity from the television, video game console and others had their energies absorbed into the rock.
Then comes the blackout. As the lights died down, and so did the entire city in New York. "Okay, didn't think this would happen." Donnie said, sheepishly. Earning a glare from Raph.
"Nice going, Donnie! Now we got a blackout!" Raph shouted. But Leo shushed him. "Shh! We're being watched." Leo said as he took out his katanas. The others did the same with their weapons.
Even in the dark, Leo could tell there was not one, but many coming to the lair. Wondering if someone had followed him. "I'm getting the feeling we're not alone." Casey stated taking out his hockey stick.
"No kidding, it's not one, but a lot coming." April, being a half-Kraang Kunoichi, uses her psychic abilities to sense the presence.
"It's a group attack, get ready." Leo said.
Karai was on her way to the Foot Lair as she met with her witch friend, Shinigami. Who is waiting in the throne room once headed by the Shredder. "What is it, Shini? You said something about the students being taken? By who?" Karai asked.
Shinigami wasn't responding as she continued to look away. Karai blinked as something was off for the way she reaming in silence. "Shini, are you...okay?" Karai asked. But instead of replying, Shinigami attacked Karai with the Kusarigama. "Hah!" Shinigami shouted as she lunged at Karai.
Karai backflipped as she dodged some of Shinigami's swings from her claw gloves. "What's gotten into you, Shini?! This isn't like you!" Karai yelled.
Shinigami disappeared. But a new voice Karai has forgotten a long time ago echoed. "You're right, this isn't like her at all, Karai." That voice is someone she recognized. Shinigami reappeared from the window of the lair, and walked next to a silhouette. "Just like how this isn't like you to be more sentimental." It was the same kunoichi that followed her.
Karai was shocked to see a familiar face that walked out of the shadows. "Satomi? How?! You were-!"
"Dead? I know, I made a good fake death." Satomi taunted.
"What have you done with Shinigami?!" Karai interrogated.
Satomi then takes out a jar of the brainworm the Shredder formerly used to mind control his henchmen who are unwilling to cooperate, especially Karai. "Does this being a bell?" Satomi smirked evilly as she showed her the brainworm. Karai gasped as she looks at the brainworm. Brought nothing but bad memories of how much it hurts her brain after her mutation.
"The brainworm, how did you-?!"
"You thought you burned all of them, didn't you? While you all thought I was dead, I did a few collections to save for the best for last. In truth, I am here to take back what is mine. After you took away my position as heir apparent for the Foot Clan."
"Spineless as always." Karai spat. "You haven't changed a bit! It's your fault that you tried to kill me when we were on a mission!"
"And it's your fault for appearing in my life!" Satomi then leaped from the edge and attacked Karai with her odachi. "If it wasn't for you, the Shredder could've chosen me as his right hand!" Satomi clashed her sword against Karai's juji-ken Karai pushes back as she spins back and Satomi keeps waving forward.
"Well, guess I got lucky for those misfortunes." Karai retorted. Dodging star knives that Satomi threw at her. Deflecting them with her sword.
Karai tried to kick Satomi in the air. But Satomi disappeared into smoke. And reappeared again from behind and kicked her on the back. "Too bad everything will be taken away from you soon enough, sister." Satomi taunted. "Or should I call you, false sister?"
Karai turned around to see Satomi with her fox ears and tail. Karai was astonished to see the form of Satomi she had never seen before while her body remain human. She read the mythology of a kitsune, fox-creature tricksters that can create illusions.
"You're...a kitsune..." Karai said.
"Half-kitsune. Through the blood of the Ninja combined." Satomi uses her multiple kicks and speed to muster up against Karai. "Years of practice and finally I am the master!"
"I don't want want to fight you, you're a sister like any other Kunoichi!" Karai tried to reason with her. "The Shredder took away what we had!" But Karai swish her juji-ken forward. But Satomi uses her illusions of her copies.
"You mean the sisters that are so weak that they can't survive?!" Satomi laughed. "Shredder was wrong to take you in. Raised you as his own. Yet you are destined to die like your own father." Satomi revealed what Karai was already informed of.
"How did you-?!"
"Yes, Karai. I know you were the last descendant of the Hamato Clan. But I know how fun it would be to see your father suffered that you called someone else father and tried to slay him. And when that failed, I rather see you suffer." Satomi swings her odachi across Karai's face. Only for Karai to block and makes a sweep kick and backed flipped away from Satomi.
Then Karai remembered something from her fights with Leo. And threw her sword at Satomi, only for her to swat upward. "Fool, a ninja never throws away their weapons!" But it was a distraction for Karai to throw blinding powder at Satomi. "That's the point!" Karai threw her ball of powder into the ground near Satomi.
Satomi caught after inhaling the powder and her eyes became red. The juji-ken was still spinning midair until it fell back into Karai's hands. Karai makes a run for it. Only for Shinigami to stop her. "Sorry, Shini." Karai then threw another blinding powder at her, but Shinigami protects her eyes with her cape.
"Search her! We need the mineral!" Shinigami said nothing and disappeared in a form of bats. Karai makes her escape trying to figure out what was going on. And from the sight of things, the city was out of power. No lights or vehicles active anymore. Satomi watches from the Shredder's former lair as the city became dark.
"The legacy of the Oroku will soon be mine alone. The last bloodline of the Hamato will fall." Satomi said evilly. "Can you see me now, Master Shredder?"
Author's note: There is a mystery behind Satomi who was once a fellow Kunoichi of the Foot Clan. like Karai. But unlike the rest of them, Satomi is a half-kitsune and has a vendetta against Karai for some reason.
Though it was a hint that Satomi was an heir apparent to the Foot Clan before Karai came into the picture at a young age.
As for Green Arrow and Speedy. This happens after the events of Season 1 of my fanfic called Green Arrow and Speedy Beyond series. Which took place of a dystopian future in an unaltered timeline before the events of Young Justice Invasion before Bart Allen/Impulse changed the timeline years later.
Of what could've happened if the League of Shadows are still active.
