Sophie and Keefe had been dating for a few months and were deeply in love. But lately, Sophie had been having nightmares every night. She hadn't told Keefe about them yet, but he had noticed her tossing and turning in her sleep and had decided to investigate.
That morning, Keefe woke up before the sun and quietly slipped out of bed. He picked a bouquet of lavender from his garden and made his way back into the house. He wanted to surprise Sophie and wake her up with the beautiful flowers.
But as he entered the bedroom, he heard Sophie whimpering in her sleep. He knew something was wrong so he quickly put the lavenders on the nightstand and shook her gently to wake her up.
When she opened her eyes and realized it was Keefe, she burst into tears. She told him all about the nightmare she had just had. Keefe knew there was nothing he could do to take away her fear, so instead, he held her close and whispered calming words in her ear.
But the nightmare had left Sophie feeling shaken and uneasy. Keefe, knowing this, took a deep breath and blew a special breeze into her head. The breeze was filled with his love, and it was enough to finally bring Sophie some peace.
When the nightmare was gone, Sophie looked up at Keefe with grateful eyes. He had known exactly what she needed - not just the lavenders he had brought her, but also his special breeze.
