Before he had to flee the Soul Society.

Before he had become a Captain of the Gotei 13.

Before he earned status as a seated Officer.

There was a woman that collided into his world. One that became a good friend to him. One who would ensure the safety of the most precious thing to her being. A precious something that he promised her to keep as his own and to raise.

This woman who had long semi-curly brown hair. Bright golden eyes that pierced into others when her ire became known. Hands that healed others with skill as her chosen profession. Who was the older sister to Aizen Sosuke.

Her name, Aizen Muka

It was the first day as a full Shinigami of the Gotei 13. Kisuke was excited as several others he graduated with stood with him. Their Captain was giving a speech of what was expected etc, etc to all newcomers to his Division. It had Kisuke zoning just a bit so he glanced to his left.

Narikibe Gezuko, who had been his sparring partner in kendo many times while in the Academy, was a rather large woman that had dark camel skin and shiny black curls that were thick. With a height nearly a foot or so more over him and a width that showed the build of her thick muscles had many men cowering before her. The cowering wasn't even before she took to pummeling them to the ground in one hit of her fists. Not many in the Academy could hold up against Gezuko in her element of hand to hand. Catching his gaze she gave a roll of her brown eyes showing just how bored she was also.

With that Kisuke glanced at his left to find a woman he only had passing sight of as she would race down the halls to different classes. The main reason for her always running down the halls was how short she was. She stood a good two feet under him making her the shortest grown woman he had ever seen. Long brown hair that was being tamed by high pigtails even though her semi-curly locks seemed to frizz out in volume. While Gezuko was thick with muscles she was petite and lean.

He couldn't help it. Being sandwiched between two completely opposite women had Kisuke trying to stop the snort that came out. It was too late. At the sound he found golden eyes turn to him as a scowl worked onto her face.

"What are you laughing at?!" She demanded in a whisper not wanting to get called out as the speech was still being said.

He would have waved her off but, he too, didn't want to gain any attention. "Oh, nothing really. Just finding myself in a predicament of a Mountain and a Shrimp." He whispered back not at all hiding the fact a smirk was growing on his face. Gezuko grunted her own snort at the nickname she had earned by him not offended by it as she rather liked it.

Her golden eyes grew brighter as she stabbed them right into his own grey ones showing her ire. "Sh-Shrimp?!" It was here, Kisuke learned an error as she landed a hard jab into his gut. She was fast as he didn't see her draw back a fist. Only the blooming of pain in his gut told him of the hit.

"Ack!" Kisuke folded over her smaller frame. A second later once he could recover slightly he childishly retaliated by taking hold of her pigtails and tugging on them. She gave a yelp of pain at the pulling blinding using her hands to rove up his chest. Once she felt warm skin fingers latched on to pinch and pull viciously. That area of skin happened to be the side of his neck.

"Ow, ow, ow!" Both grunted out the pain but neither stopping, even as she brought up a foot to plant it square into his chest to leverage more pull. It seemed to backfire on her as it caused her head to bow that her chin grazed her sternal notch.

"What in the hell is going on down there?!" Their Captain yelled making his way towards them.

Both froze at his voice while eyes squinted from pain to looked at the man that was in charge of them. Arms crossed, he took them in with a stern look. "Fighting among comrades is not allowed in my Division. This is not Division 11."

Eyes that held their Captain's gaze shot to each other after he was done speaking. A second later both let go to bow before him. A long moment went by before he spoke again. "We are a squad that will be there to cover each other's backs in battle. Petty squabbles will not be permitted and punishment will be given." He stated making sure to enforce this to the rest of them and not just the two bowed before him. "Being as that is said, you two, from now on until the next moon phase will be sparring and clean up partners. I want to see a fluid team between you two by the end of that phase. First step, introduction."

Kisuke stood back up once she did as well. Turning to look at her with a friendly smile. "The name is Urahara Kisuke." She scowled at him giving a small grumble but relenting as their Captain was watching them intently. "Aizen Muka."

"Now, as i was nearing the end I will dismiss all of you to be free for the rest of the day. Tomorrow we will start on shifts and chores to cover." He stated walking away once he waved to the group to disperse.

Kisuke gave her another smile. "Should we take lunch together? Get a start on this budding friendship we will have?" All she gave as an answer was a roll of her eyes and turning to leave him behind. A large hand patted his head ruffling up his blonde mane. "Don't get too discouraged by her attitude. It's just a defense she has towards new people." Gezuko stated. "Comes from being in a family such as hers. Uptight bastards."

He gave a raised eyebrow towards the towering woman. "Oh? What kind of family is the Aizen?"

She gave a sneer. "Ones that use manipulation tactics to gain favor and such. I've known Muka since we were debutantes. They wanted her married as soon as possible to any and that included those whos been married before. I helped her leave them a few years into that bullshit and we both ended up at the Academy." With a finger gun wave she started to leave. "Remember just give her time to learn who you are and she'll do the same in return. She a great friend to have and a better comrade to have at your side."

Kisuke nodded even though Gezuko didn't see it with her back to him. Today he would leave Muka be, but tomorrow their shared punishment would begin. Tomorrow would be the start to him gaining her as a friend and comrade.
