The Front Line Season 01 Episode 02
There was something else in the meteor that struck down and a larger silver and blask baselike structure appeared and unleashed a spinning drill shooting down onto the street cracking the pavement as they'd began to drill down further pumping things into the atmophere creating a large lightning cloud.
"What are they doing exactly?" Hawkgirl questioned seeing the cloud forming as it was causing lightining to strike all over the place.
"The invaders are nocturnal, they wish to blot out the sun and cover the world in darkness." J'onn stated to them.
"We'll have to take out those factories." Lok spoke up saying that was their only option to handle this.
"I'm the only one that can't fly and I've got a team stationed in New York to help take them out there." Spider-Man told them and Ben nodded hearing that.
"We've also got Backup stationed in new york as well. We'll leave it to your cluster, and take the Amazon with you." Ben told them saying that Spider-Man should take Dana with him.
"Wulf can get team Phantom to the desert area to help since there's no civilians or plants in that patch of the area they can take that one down no problem. I'll take Hawkgirl here and we can meet up there." Dan spoke up about team phantom and about him going with Hawkgirl.
Jo'nn go with Spider-Man and Wonder Woman here. I'll take Lok and we'll handle the forest area." Ben then spoke telling them who they'd team up with and everyone nodded breaking off and going where they needed to get to.
We then cut to Ben and Lok at their factory first where Lok had pulled the Willblade from the sheith on his back and says "Leave the drill to me You have fun with the rest of them." And Ben nods changing into Fourarms cracking his knuckles.
Ben, as Fourarms then raced down and grabbed one of the tripod by the leg lifting it up and then swung hard breaking the leg off and causing it to fall over as Lok's eyes flashed purple and he'd swung at the drill cutting thepole completely off of the factory and Fourarms lifted it up stabbing it through the other tripods like a kebab before then jumping upwards and slamming it down into the machine causing it to crackle and then blow apart.
We then cut to Spider-Man with the other spiders of his Cluster, Jo'nn, and Wonder Woman as they'd been avoiding detection while Diana says "Hiding like cowards is not the Amazonian way."
However Spider-Man responds "We aren't hiding Princess. We're waiting for the big guy." And watch as Colonel Jupiter charges forwards and knocks down one of the tripods making them drop onto the factory. "Alright that's our cue, let's go."
And they'd all jumped swinging on weblines to go inside and fight with Diana flying in to join in the fight as well. The Spiders were all able to dodge attacks thanks to their spider senses while Colone Jupiter acted as a tank and ran towards them slamming into those guys and Diana blocked their blasts with them having the enemy on the run.
"They run like cowards we should proceed with our assault." Wonder Woman called continuing to fight against them.
"Hold it!" Agent Venom called out stopping them all and opening up a case that he'd brought with him. "Magister Ben told us to use sunguns so I grabbed what we had." Handing over the weapons to them.
"We have no such things on Themyscira." Wonder Woman states looking at the sungun she'd been given.
"You hold it like this and then use your finger to pull back on this part but gently so you don't break it." Ghost Spider Spoke showing how to use one of the sunguns and blasted one of the bad guys melting them into a puddle of goo as they did so.
Meanwhile Hawkgirl and Dan had been bashing the Tripods around the factory that they had to take out alongside Danny, Fright Knight, and Wulf handling the main job. Meanwhile Sam, Tucker, Jazz, Maddie, and Jack had been using sunguns to blast at them alongisde Obe-El. taking out the Tripods and the smaller soldiers that were on the ground.
"Guys we're going in. You handle the tripods and the small fry." Dan called out grabbing Hawkgirl and phased their way through into the outer wall of the alien factory getting the two inside where they'd been attacked. Though Hawkgirl made quick work of them bashing them into goo and Dan says "Woman after my own heart." impressed.
Dan and Hawkgirl however had a nerve gas released onto them and they'd been downed as we cut back to the Cluster with Jo'nn and Diana as the Martian says "Dan and Hawkgirl are down, I can sense it."
"And we're probably next." Anti-Venom spoke with an annoyed sigh as they'd started booking it with the spiders using their senses to lead the way to safety.
"How do they know where to go?" Diana questioned as she was following the Spiders of the cluster whom all headed towards the same direction.
"I stopped asking myself that question a long time ago princess." Colonel Jupiter stated to her in response to the question while they followed.
"Look, we've made it to the central core. If we can remove the ion crystal we can shut down the whole plant." J'onn told them gesturing to something up above them. "But I'll need a distraction."
"You got it, Diana.. fight the amazon way." Spider-Man spoke which Wonder Woman liked the sound of.
She'd smirked cracking her knuckles in response to what Spider-Man said saying "Finally." and began to cut loose ripping down cables as Colonel Jupiter joined her in smashing up the place while the Spiders went after the systems and began screwing around with the monitors and such screwing up all the systems as they did so.
J'onn had managed to get the crystal causing the factory to start to blow but was shot and fallen next to Diana as Agent Venom calls "Get him out of here!" and Wonder Woman picked up J'onn and narrowly escaped with the door shutting behind them.
"Jupiter, the core!" Ghost Spider called gesturing towards the charcoal red colored rock and he'd nodded charging through all the invaders and picking up the stone.
"You guys want this?" Jupiter then questioned the strange aliens holding up the power source making them stop while pointing their weapons at them. "Well too bad." He'd then crushed it between his hands like a strong man popping a basketball and breaking it into rubble. "Come and get me!"
Diana had heard the blasts and saw as the door had been hit but not torn through and tries to go to help but J'onn stops her saying "There's nothing more we can do for them."
"Then they're..?" Wonder Woman questions as the Martian then hangs his head indicating that they'd most likely lost them.
Picking up sometime later Wonder Woman had been watching as people had been looting the streets saying "Perhaps mother was right about Man's world. They are a bunch of untamed savages."
"Do not judge them too harshly, they act out of fear." J'onn told her as they'd watched the people below.
Some biker guys called out "Give us a hand there's some kids trapped under here!" and fourarms lifts up the rubble throwing it to the side and they'd called "Thank you." as Ben then went to meet up with the remainder of their little group alongside Lok.
"We had to help some civilains, what's the status update?" Ben spoke as they'd arrive to where the remaining others were.
"Both Dan and Hawkgirl have been captured. Spider-Man and his team are.. not with us anymore, and the rest of Dan's team have moved onto places that need help like Paris." Wonder Woman stated giving them the update. "But Dan and Hawkgirl are still inside that one."
"We must hurry and retrieve Dan and Hawkgirl from inside. The Impreium, the invader's supreme leader, is coming." The Martian told them as they'd prepared to rescue the others.
"I'll create a diversion, the rest of you get inside and help the others." Lok spoke telling everyone else to go and get inside while he went to distract the tripods. "Come forth, Cavalier!" summoning a gargoyle like titan that had two flaming swords and they'd charged at the tripod distracting it as they'd sliced one of the legs making them fall over.
The others had gone inside and Lok had Cavalier help him follow them while J'onn had went ahead and changed into the enemy calling out and once they'd found the others he'd phased his hands thorugh their chests and then made himself solid again taking them out.
He'd led them to a spot and says "The other two are beyond this spot" and Wonder Woman began to push against it.
"It's no use I can't move it." She'd told them being unable to budge it despite her immense strength.
"It's called a wall for a reason princess, allow me." Lok spoke as Cavalier took their flaming swords and stabbed them into the wall while Lok did the same with the willblade slowly carving it open together.
"We must hurry, there's not much time left." J'onn spoke as they'd made it through and went to help Superman and Hawkgirl though it turned out they were fakes and the room was filled with a knockout gas.
We then have Dan calling for them to wake up with Jo'nn slowly coming to and they'd had been trapped in some sort of slolidified goolike substance and one of the invading beings says "Earth's mightiest heros, right." and changed into senator Carter.
"Oh great, it's this moron." Ben spoke annoyed seening the Senator and just looked so done with all this.
"Unfortunately the"Real Carter never made it back from his mission to mars, and bla bla bla yadda yadda bad guy speech."" Dan cut off the alien that'd taken the form of Carter already tired of their shit.
"Yes well, to let you all know the Imprerium has made it to earth." The fake Carter spoke opening the roof up as a black pod dropped from a much larger ship that was above them and he says "All hail the Imperium."
A black and pink podlike creature appeared with tentacles and comes over saying "J'onn J'onzz, it's been a long time."
"I hate to break up this little reunion but it's been a very long day and I do have better things to do so if you don't mind." Dan spoke up before taking a deep breath and then unleashed a sonic burst from his mouth which had a wailing sound that caused the stuff he and the others were on to break apart as he'd also blown back the Imprerium and thier guards all at the same time.
"NOW!" J'onn then called out as someone had appeared and punched throught the shielding revealing that Colonel Jupiter was still alive and several webbings had tied the Imperium and their lackies solidifying around them as Spider-Man, Ghost Spider, Anti-Venom, and Agent Venom also appeared while Spidey had a device he'd pushed into the hole that Colonel Jupter made.
"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!?" The Imperium called out as everything had turned from red to blue in all the see through stuff around them.
"Oh y'know, just reversed the polarity charge on your big rock." Agent Venom spoke up first with a smug tone of voice.
"That means we've taken control because with the ions working the opposite end." Anti-Venom then spoke up also sounding as smug as he does so.
"Well, instead of blotting out the sun if it's in reverse what's the opposite of that?" Ghost Spider questions the Imperium next wanting to see if they could understand what's happening now.
"NO! The clouds.." The Impreium spoke being caught totally by surprise for what's happening right now.
"Oh, Bingo, looks like you win the prize." Colonel Jupiter then spoke up next though you could actually see the smug look on his face as well as hear it on the tone he was using.
"It's an all expenses paid trip to the Sunny sands of Giza." Spider-Man spoke as the sunlight began to shine through the clouds as they were disipating from having the energy being sent into it being reversed.
They'd began to rip apart the factory so that as much sunlight as possible to could through causing the Imperium to bubble and retreat, or at least try to anyway. as the invaders were all starting to melt away from the sunlight.
"I got this one." Ben told the others saying he'd handle the Imperium and ran to attack them calling out "Diana I need a boost outside!"
The Amazonian princess grabbed him and thronw Ben out onto the Impreium ship where he'd jumped off the side and activated the dial on his watch changing into the biggest alien that he currently knows of thus far and became Waybig clapping his hands together around the Imperium ship he'd broken it given them nowhere to go to escape and then used his cosmic rays to blast the imperium mother ship causing it to be downed before he'd thrown it as far towards the sun as he could blasing it a second time and making it explode.
"Alright let's get the people out of here." Spider-Man called gesturing to the pods that the actual humans that had been impersonated were in and they'd quickly got to work with Waybig then putting his hand down so that they could just get the people to him and once they were all safe Dan gave them one more sonic blast for the road before flying off out of the ship alongside the others.
We see the group then heading around the world aiding others and destroying what remained of the imperium's forces and we then see a large spacestation and Lok sees earth from their saying "Sophie would love to see this someday."
Ben states "This place is a secondary Plumber Orbital base meant specifically for use with the P.H.D. and will act as an early warning system for any other threats.
"It's also got a fully stocked kitchen." Spider-Man says walking over with Wonder Woman offering Lok a drink saying "Lemonade Slush?"
Lok however turns him down and Diana tries the one in her hand saying "It's sour but sweet, we don't have things like this on Themyscira."
"Hey stick around I'll show you all kinds of delicious goodies from Man's world as you call it." Spider-Man then told her saying he'd be glad to show her more.
"Perhaps I will." The Amazonian spoke saying she might actually like to stay and see more of this world.
"It's impressive, but what's this got to do with us?" Dan then questions coming in along with Hawkgirl.
"Well, there's already teams out there handling other threats, I figure why not put one together to handle the main threats that come out way?" Ben then speaks up saying he'd wanted to form a team with them. "You, Hawkgirl, Lok, Diana, J'onn, Spider-Man, and Myself. So what do you guys say?"
"So what do we call this group exactly?" Spidey questionined what the team name would be "Something like a Justice League, or Avengers or something like that?"
"My little brother has a team alongside some younger guys that Lok Knows and Dan's little sister. They called their team Backup, so how about we handle the front lines and come up with something from there?" Ben then explained to them.
"What about that?" Diana questioned them confusing the group as to what she was suggesting "The Front Line, that could be the team name if you believe we need one."
"I kinda like it. You can count me in." Dan spoke up saying he'd join them and Spider-Man walks over to Dan.
"You can count me in too." Spidey told them saying he'd also join their team to handle bigger and badder threats.
"Same here." Diana agreed as well standing beside Dan and Spider-Man wanting to join the team as well.
"Don't leave me out, I can't let you guys have all the fun." Hawkgirl stated to them about joining also.
"So long as it doesn't interfere with my work for the Foundation and the Casterwills you can count me in too." Lok agreed to join as well.
"That's only leaves J'onn." Ben spoke looking around and found him staring into space and went to speak with him. "J'onn, you joining us?"
"I believe that I may be the last of my kind in the universe." The Martian states saddened by the thought of never seeing anyone he cares for again.
"Well, if it help you feel better, you aren't." Ben then stated to him getting their attention "You're the last Martian to leave Mars, but it turns out the Plumbers actually do have Martians listed as active on a new planet so there's always hope to see others of your race again someday, and we've requested a visit from some of them. Until then I'd be honored if you'd consider Earth as your new home for the time being."
"I think I would like that." J'onn stated saying he'd like to join them and have earth be a new home for him to enjoy for the time being.
"Then it's settled." Spidey spoke up hearing that J'onn would join them too though the Cluster cleared their throat getting his attention.
"And what about us?" Agent Venom questioned just what they were going to do without their leader anymore.
"You'll all be fine, you've already got someone to fill the role as leader while I'm away. Ghost Spider I'm leaving them in your capable hands." Spiey then stated to them all putting Ghost Spider in charge as the new leader of his group.
