The Front Line Season 01 Episode 06
Spider-Man had started to come to and seen that Doc Oct was there along with the others and says "Should have figured you'd show up sooner or later Doc, though I'm surprised to see you working for the Goblin of all people. "
They simply let out a shrug in response before stating "What can I say, the man pays well." while making one of the metal arms close it's claw in front of the spider before turning towards the Green Goblin and says "You're not seriously leaving him like that are you?"
"And what's wrong with that?" The Goblin questioned the man with mechanical limbs on his back.
"He's still alive, you and I both know just what he's capable of." Doctor Octopus stated to them about Spider-Man.
"Those restraints are pure titanium and the field around him will stop the Martian from finding him. I've tested those restraints myself with my Goblin strength." They'd answered back stating that he'd tested everything.
"Very well, but don't say that I didn't warn you." The doc stated using the mechanical arms on his back to leave the room.
"Now you must have some sort of Pass Key or Access Code that I can use agains your friend yes? So where is it?" Goblin questioned walking over with his hands behind his back.
"Take a wild guess." Spider-Man answered back refusing to help the Goblin who'd been annoyed by their answer.
"Grundy, open it." The Green Goblin spoke to the big guy in the torn black suit and they'd began messing with the pouches on Spider-Man's belt that he kept under the top half of his costume.
They'd found a silver container with a yellow top to it and began messing with that while Spidey calls "I wouldn't do that if I wer" however it was sadly too late to warn them as he'd mashed it open and got electrified webfluid shot at him and had been zapped dropping to the floor. "Oooh, that's gonna leave a mark."
"Bring that upstairs, I'll find it myself." Goblin told the guy with the cane who'd used his stick to make Spidey's belt float into the air with shadows floating around it. "Grundy, Humanite, watch him."
With that they'd headed on upstairs to try to figure out what all Spider-Man had in his belt and if any of it would be useful and once they were gone the wall crawler looked at the two of them and figured he'd take his chances. "Grundy was it? What exactly are you getting out of this deal with the Green Goblin anyway?"
"Money, and lost of it." Grundy answered back, ya it was clear this one wasn't the smart one of the two.
"As much as he's getting? With everything you've had to put up with don't you think you should be getting more?" Spidey then questioned him and the Humanite guy found this rediculous.
"More than I am, please that's preposterous." The Humanite guy states and starts to walk away, probably to find a spot to sit or something.
"Is it really though?" Our Webslinger questions him asking if it'd really been so rediculous that Grundy got paid more. Next thing anyone knew Grundy had started fighting with Ultra Humanite and Spidey had been watching them stating "I really need Popcorn right now." to himself.
The other villains had come in with Goblin yelling out "Stop it both of you, RIGHT NOW!" making the two stop hitting each other. "You imbiciles are killing me after than the blood poisioning. Black Cat, you're watching him now! If he causes any more trouble gag him!"
Once the others were gone The webslinger questions "Cat what exactly are you doing here?" while in the stasis field.
"Well, I recieved an offer too good to pass up." She'd stated to him about why she was there working for the Goblin.
"So you're just working for the highest bidder now, I thought that was beneath you." He'd stated saying that he thought better of here.
"Well, when I heard we'd be playing with you and your new friends how could I resist exactly? Don't get to see you much since you started." Black Cat stated moving the claw on the index finger of her glove down the side of his mask. "Makes a girl feel forgotten."
"Cat, there's no way I'd be able to forget someone as amazing as you." Spidey then answered back about her saying she felt forgotten. "Especially when you're a guy's first reall kiss."
That'd surprised Cat to hear that she was his first and she responds "Really, and here I thought you'd have the ladies all just throwing themselves at you." as she'd began to pull up his mask slowly.
"Cat where are y?" The wallcrawler began to question but she'd stopped pulling on his mask once it was up to where it was sitting on the bridge of his nose and put her index finger against his lips. "Goblin said to gag you, he never said with what." she'd then teased before then pressing her lips to his.
We then cut to sometime later where a black orb had dropped down into the docking bay of the Front Line's station with J'onn seeing this watching the door close before revealing it was the guy with the cane, who was named Shade, alongside Grundy and Khyber. "Intruders." J'onn spoke before pressing the alarm button and went to stop these other guys.
Everything went black and Grundy hit J'onn knocking him onto the floor and rendering him unconscious and then the lights reappear with Shade saying "Well done Grundy, shall we get to work?"
Grundy holds up a briefcase with a smile as we then cut to the other members of the Front Line as Dan questions "Still no word from J'onn?"
Ben shakes his head no and says "Not since he'd sounded the alarm." as they'd met up in front of the Javeline ship.
"Something's wrong up there, I can feel it." Hawkgirl stated to them speaking up next. "We should go check on him."
We then cut back to Doctor Octopus turning on a feed in front of Spider-Man saying "Well, looks like this will be the end of the Front Line already, and once your friends go because of the little gift we left, that's when I get you." and makes the claw at the end of one of his metal arms snap shut in front of the wallcrawler.
The other members of the Front Line had gone in and landed with Lok coming out first and hearing Groaning and found the Martain on the ground "J'onn!" He'd called going over to their shapshifting ally. "Are you alright, what happened?"
"The rest of you look for Spider-Man, I'll get him to medical bay." Dan told them taking J'onn to where he could recover.
They'd gotten a call on the secure line at the Medical Bay and Diana answers saying "Spider-Man? What? Hello, hello?"
"So what did he say?" Ben questions, though Wonder Woman looked worried at whatever she'd been told about what's going on.
"It wasn't Spider-Man but someone said that there was a bomb up on board the Watchtower." She'd told them about what's happening.
"That's a secure line we should take this serious, everyone fan out and look for it!" Ben stated to the group who'd began to spread out.
"Hold it!" Lok then called to them holding up one of his amulets. "Show us the way, Silverhunter!" He'd then called out as a white furred creature with sliver mane appeared that looked sorta like a cross between a wolf and a lion. "Silverhunter, lead us to anything nearby that doesn't smell like us."
The titan nodded in response and began to sniff around and growled racing off as the others all followed them to where there was a yellow briefcase and Dan snagged it up phasing through the wall and out into space and swung the case hard letting go and sending it further away from the watchtower as it'd blown just after he phased back inside.
"I'm gonna check if anything was stolen the rest of you try to contact Spider-Man and go check on J'onn while I'm doing that." Ben told the group who'd gone off to do so.
Hawkgirl was dialing on the communications but still not getting anything. "No luck, the webhead isn't picking up."
"Try the rest of the cluster." Dan spoke telling her to call the rest of Spider-Man's old team to see if anyone had seen him.
"It was Shade, Grundy, and Khyber." J'onn stated as he'd finally woken up to the team around him. "I saw them coming then everything went black and I woke up here."
"There's only one way they could have gotten in so easily, Spider-Man's transmitter." Dan stated to them about how they could have gotten in.
We then cut to Spider-Man with Doc Oct who'd been annoyed saying "I should have know it wouldn't be so easy to get rid of you heroes." as Grundy showed up grabbing the Doc's metal arm that was headed towards the wallcrawler.
"Goblin doesn't want you alone with him." This annoyed the good Doctor who's pulled his metal arm away and began to leave the room.
"Thanks, mind if I get some water?" Spider-Man spoke thanking Grundy for getting Doctor Octopus away from him.
"Okay." Grundy says getting him water from the cooler and moving the cup to his face moving up the mask so he could drink it. When Grundy then turned around he spat the water at the dampening bulb and caused it to short out without them noticing.
'J'onn, can you hear me? I'm not exactly sure how this whole mental thing works but if you can I'm at..' Spidey then began to think and we fade off to J'onn getting his message.
"I know where he is, come on!" The Martian called leading the way off to where their ally was being held at.
"Ben, c'mon!" Hawkgirl called out and he'd stopped his searching and went to join the others hearing them calling for him.
They'd found the place and J'onn says "They may try to use Spider-Man as a shield so we need to find him first.
"Leave that one to me, I can phase Spider-Man and whatever he's being held in out of the building all at once." Dan stated and the others nodded letting him handle it.
We see Ultra Humanite sitting in an office chair as Dan's hands reached up and grabbed the base of the thing Spider-Man was one phasing it and the webslinger through the floor all at once. "Boy am I glad to see you." Spidey states as the half ghost then phased him out of the restraints.
Once they got the all clear the rest of the team went in to fight against them with Ben changing into Arctiguana and blasting Khyber solid in a chunk of ice. "That's one down."
Wonder Woman then used her Lasso to take Shade's can from him and Hawkgirl knocked him out with her Mace and the latter says "Make that two."
Dan tapped Grundy onto the shoulder before unleashing his Ghostly Wail knocking them over in pain as he says "Three."
"Sorry Cat, but I can't let you get out of this." Spider-Man spoke webbing up Black cat and dangling her from the ceiling by a line.
"And here I thought we had something Special." She'd spoken pouting about being left there as Spidey then went to go after Goblin and Doc Oct.
"That makes four." Lok called seeing Cat tied up above them. "Or, uh, make that five." He then corrects using the Willblade to slice through Doctor Octopus' mechanical limbs and cutting the claws off of them making the doc fall over while the arms were wiggling around like Snakes with their heads chopped off.
"That only leave the Goblin and Ultra Humanite." Diana spoke as the Goblin then blasted at them with the chest of his costume now being black with red and yellow circutry patterns along with some orange in there too.
"No!" Articguana called out surprised by what he was seeing. "You used the remains of Malware, are you crazy?" He'd demanded as Goblin blasted at them all laughing like a madman.
"Sorry but we don't have time to play." Green Goblin called out though Ultra Humanite had zapped him by jabbing them with an electrified night stick making them drop.
The group were being taken into custody, though Cat had managed to claw herself free from the webbing and had already been long gone by the time the cops arrived and the officers were taking the remaining members of that villainous group though Ultra Humanite stopped in front of Ben for a moment.
"I trust you'll keep our bargain?" He'd questioned the Omnitrix wielder who'd nodded back indicating he would.
"Yes, double what the Goblin was paying you." Ben stated about the agreement that the two of them had made.
