The Front Line Season 01 Episode 11
There was a group of different villains that Ben had faced off against gathered together causing trouble in Bellwood as a blue and black furred alien appeared using a voice amplification function on his badge calling out "Attention criminals, this is Magister Rook Blonko of the Plumbers' Earth Branch you will lay down your weapons and comply immediately or force will be used against you."
However the villains just began to attack him in response as a barrier of energy appeared blocking the attacks as Gwen Tennyson questions "Why do you even bother offering them the chance, you know they'll never take it."
"It is a habbit from my early days as your husband's former junior partner." Rook answered back as he'd readdied the tool on his back making it into the shape of a blaster in order to fight back.
"That's Tennyson's wife and old partner, maybe we should call this off?" A large chicken man stated to them seeing who'd come to play.
"That would be wise." A voice stated as J'onn then phased up from under the ground and shoved them to the side.
The group began to fight as Wonder Woman and Hawkgirl both then appeared as well coming over to help fight the group as one with a big dome on their head calls out "How much longer dock?"
"Just a few more tiny adjustments and the device will be ccomplete." Spoke a large alien crablike creature.
"Well hurry it up because we don't have all day." A guy with a skull painted on his face called out inside a mechanical suit that he'd been using to try to fight off the others.
Finally Ben had shown up as Fourarms and the crab say "Finally the hero of the hour has arrive, and I use the term loosely." The crab spoke activating something that looked like a bell with a big winding key on it.
"Is that a Chronosapien timebomb? Have you lost it?" Fourarms called out seeing the device in question.
"Not quite, I've altered it so that the device will only ccause your destruction." The crab stated activating it and the device sent out a strange wave of energy that had caused Ben to vanish into thin air.
"BEN!" Rook called out seeing what's just happened while the others had started to violently beat back the group for what they'd done.
"PARADOX!" Gwen suddenly called out as a man in a lab coat appeared in front of them confusing the rest of the group that was there.
"You called?" The man questioned them waiting to hear just what had happened that'd make Gwen wanna call out for him.
"What happened to Ben?" She'd questioned as Paradox opened up his watch as if thinking about for a moment.
"I haven't the foggiest, but he's not in any timelines that I know of." The professor then stated to her before shutting the watch solomly.
We then cut to Ben as he'd woken up with some rubble on top of him and pushed it off and stood up and coughed out some blood before checking the Omnitrix finding the dial completely off and says "Dead, just great." and began trying his plumber staff and plasma blade also finding them nonfucntional. "Ben 10 to watchtower, anyone there?" He'd then called out but didn't get any response "My communications show that we've got signal and somehow have been transported to a red sun planet. I'll leave the com open and attempt to move closer."
He'd then began to go through the various old vehicles that were around him and began getting to wory trying to get everything that he could use ready and once that was done Ben then began to fix up the scraps into a makeshift vehicle to use to get closer to the signal driving off to where it was coming from.
We fade to where Ben was making a campfire and see that some time had passed as he'd had stubble on his face while dropping down some sticks that he'd gathered and used a flare to get it started and tried to get some rest when some very large strange looking beasts began to surround him so he'd got a metal pole and hit the car with it making claning noises calling "Get, go on, go." as they'd tried to get closer so he'd thrown a couple of the sticks from the firewood at them scaring them away.
Deciding he needed a better weapon he'd justed some of the old flares and a makeshift hammer to overheat the pole and began to bash on it flatting the pole as he'd used some cloth he'd torn off from his pants to hold onto it eventually beating it down into the shape of a blade and began to scrape it against the rocks to sharpen it. "This'll have to do for now." he'd stated to himself since there was no one else around.
He used it to cut into some plants and then began to bite into part of the strange thing since something was better than nothing after all and then began to drive off sometime later drinking from some water that he'd managed to gather from the plants as well when the clouds began to get thicker and it began to rain down allowing Ben to get some actual water to drink from as he'd held the part of the plant he was drinking from so that he could try to catch as much as he could.
Eventually he'd ran out of gas and left with what he could carry leaving the makeshift vehicle where it was and began to walk off leaving the vehicle's lights on so that he could see as he'd began to walk more. However more of those creatures began to show up growling at him so he'd unshiethed the sword "Down!" He'd called at them holding his blade at the ready.
The one that seemed to be a different color had attacked and he'd began to fight it and the others off eventually managing to take down the leader of the group and we move to later where he'd worn it's pelt and created a makeshift sled using the other bests to pull it and him. We see that they'd continued long enough for Ben's stubble to grow out into a full blown beard as he'd spoke into the com saying "If anyone can get this message I'm bunking down for the night, with any luck I'll reach by tomorrow."
The next day they'd come to a large crevice and Ben checked the signal finding it was coming from down there so he'd pulled the reigns off of the beasts saying "Alright, end of the line." though they didn't seem to want to leave so he'd yelled "GO ON, GET!" shooing them away making them run off but one had stopped to turn back as he'd began to climb down.
He'd discovered a dense jungle below and explored finding large insects and went to follow the signal finding the remains of the Watchtower finding his way into the tower calling out "Hello, is anyone in here?" before running on in further find the place overgrown with wires and roots everywhere and found one of the few remaining things that worked finding information on everyone else showing unknown. "What happened to everyone?" He'd called hitting the console out of frustration.
"They've died Ben, everyone either died, or abandoned the planet a long time ago." A voice spoke with Ben standing up to find out what's going on. "They really don't build them like this anymore, it didn't loose orbit until around seventy five years ago." A man spoke revealing himself. "My name is Vandal Savage, I'm the sole human residing on the planet save for yourself that is. I'm an immortal."
"So was it dumb luck that you found me?" Ben questioned as the two had began walking off to wherever this Vandal Savage guy.
"Not at all, I picked up your comm signal a few weeks ago but lacked any communications equipment to answer you back only trace it." Savage explained to him as they continued walking off and eventually got back to what remained of Bellwood.
"This is Bellwood.." Our hero spoke looking around the area trying to piece things together about what all had happened.
"Was, I've been slowly trying to restore it little by little, being immortal I have many hobbies such as archeology." The immortal spoke about where they were and led him to a large stone with a big metal Omnitrix symble dangling from it that'd been dented and long since rusted over. "Your funeral was lovely, all the networks aired it I used to have it on recorded systembs though that was a long time ago."
"It's tacky." Ben stated seeing the giant tombstone that'd been put up for him with the overised omnitrix shaped wires.
"I never should have done it, in the time you come from I was still a power mad villain. I caused a lot of the detruction that you've seen around but that was along ago. Who I was, is not who I am now." Savage stated with a regretful tone of voice and look upon his face. "For now, how about lunch?" he'd then questioned changing moods almost instantly.
We then cut to Vandal Savage as he was cooking different stuff as Ben was looking around questioning "You did all this yourself?"
"You have to keep yourself busy or you'll go insane." Vandal stated to him as Ben checked out the various books and different stuff that'd been mostly restored little by little all around and he'd finished cooking then calling "Food's ready."
The food had actually been quite good and Ben began scarfing it down since he hadn't had a lot to eat over the time that he'd been there. "This is delicious." He'd told his host after drinking down the juice that'd been offered to him.
"I'm glad you think so, I grew everything myself. Aggriculture is another one of my personal hobbies." Savage told him before holding up his hand and says "House, garden vew." and a projection of the garden appeared with rows of various plants that Ben had never seen before. "You're welcome to explore about as you wish."
The two had began exploring around along with Savage explaining to Ben about the various things that he'd done eventually getting to a large empty room and our hero questions "What's this one?"
"A time machine I'd been working on, but never finished sadly. There'd be no point since I can't go back to any time that I already exist." The immortal explained about what they were dealing with in front of them.
"You can't go back, but I'm supposedly dead already so.." Ben then suggested and that brought something that the immortal hadn't had in a long time, hope.
The two then immediately began to get to work on it once more and began to try to turn it on but it failed. "The machine is working but we don't have sufficent power, still there may be something we can do."
We cut to the two riding on oversized dragonflies as our hero questions "What are we after exactly?"
Which the immortal answers "About thirty years ago the roaches broke in and stole my zero point generator, if we can get it back then it would have enough energy to power the time machine." he'd explained and they'd gone to where the creatures were "The generator is basically a miniature sun they use it to provide warmpth to the central mound."
The two fought their way through the hive as they were spotted when they got close to the generator when they'd heard snarling and such with the beasts that Ben had previously used to pull his sled appeared and began to help fight off the bugs as Ben's Omnitrix had began to reactivate as a large insect attacked him knocking Ben down into where the Generator was, however suddenly there was a green flash and then green lasers blasted the roaches driving them away as Atomix had appeared with the generator. "Looking for this?" he'd questioned as Savage smiled.
The two had then gone back to the house where the generator was able to power the machine as Ben questions "Ready to send me back?"
"No." Savage responds while working on the console. "But I will anyway, you have to stop me by any means necessary. Four day from your arrival I'll try to steal a piece of dwarf star matter from a scientist named ray palmer you have to stop me. Prevent it and I'll never be able to build the device. I've written down everything about where to find me, my plans, and everything involving the device. Destroy it."
"Got it." Ben spoke preparing to go and turned back to question "What'll happen to you though?"
"If I'm lucky, redemption for all my past misdeeds. Don't worry about me, just go and do what you do best. What you were born to do, save the world." Savage told him and Ben hed out his hand with Vandal shook and the only remaining beast from the pack began to whimper about them leaving. "Oh to hell with it, go!" the immortal spoke letting them go with Ben.
We then cut to sometime later where a woman was on the television a textbox under her reading Live: The death of Ben 10 alongside it as we see the different heroes from all over preparing to mourn the loss. "This is Julie Yamamoto, returning to our continuing coverage of the death of Ben 10. I'm here at the location where the funeral proceedings will be held as the world mourns the loss of our hero of heroes."
We see a small alien frog creature with the device that Psychobos used as he was running various scans and all kinds of test on it in his lab as Paradox had shown up to speak with them. "It is almost time Azmuth, shouldn't you of all people be getting ready? After all, it was your device that helped him become the hero that he is today."
"I'm not going, the Omnitrix failsafe would have prevented Ben's death. If this device was meant only to erase him than it should have been left behind if it happened." Azmuth stated continuing to work with figuring out how exactly this had happened.
Finally it was time, they'd all gone to the funeral where there were many people there, human, alien, and everything in between were all attending when they'd started hearing whispers and Hawkgirl questions "What's going on?" trying to see.
"Vilgax." Gwen spoke moving to stand in front of the large humanoid squidlike alien that had come to the funeral along with his wife and daughter as his son had already been there with the rest of his team.
"I am not here as an enemy, Ben and I put asside our differences a long time ago. Truly I am sorry for your loss Mrs. Tennyson, the universe mourns for him." Vilgax spoke up telling them that he was not there as an enemy.
We then see that a dark haired man was standing at the podium preparing to give the eulogoy as he begins saying "I've had the pleasure of knowing Ben for many years, and it makes me proud to have called him my best friend an.." they'd started to say when all of a sudden the doors began to open up stopping everyone as they turn to see who it was.
They all see a rugged looking individual that looked like he'd been living off the land entering wearing a fur cape and boots alongside a strange beast that no one had ever seen before as the man looks around remarking "Geeze, it's like a funeral in here. Seriously who died?"
Many people had began to get angry but J'onn stood up calling "Ben?" as people began to mummer questioning if that was really him or not.
"What you expecting Grizzly Addams?" They'd quetioned with a smug look on their face and ya, that pretty much confirmed it for them as everyone that knew him personally got up excited to go ask what happened.
"Easy, long story short, I wound up in somet timeline where a guy named Vandal Savage was the last one left on earth, fixed up his time machine, and then he sent me back.. Alongside this one too." Ben explained to them as he petted the beast in front of him.
"Of course, an imaginary timeline, why didn't I think of that?" Paradox spoke slapping himself on the forehead as he spoke then adding "If it were a snake it'd have bit me."
"Imaginary timeline?" Wonder Woman questions what exactly they were talking about confused.
"Timelines are supposed to split off into different branches, an imaginary timeline is when a time that shouldn't exist overlaps another that should." Paradox explained to them just confusing the group more.
"It's complicated, what matters is"That you're back!"" Ben began to say but Gwen had cut him off running over and wrapping her arms around her husband's neck and the two shared a kiss.
"By the way, I like the beard." Gwen then told him as Ben rubbed his hand over his chin.
"Well, maybe I'll keep it then. Oh this is.. let's go with Wolf." Ben spoke petting the beast introducing them to the group before adding "For now, we got a job to take care of."
We then see Vandal Savage sitting alone in his desolate world as the image of people walking around began to fade into existence surprising him as he stood up watching everything appear and become solid as he'd began to be the one that was see through and says "Thank you my friend." wiht a content smile as he'd faded from existence as the world now had a brighter future to look forward to.
