The Front Line Season 01 Episode 13
We start off just outside the whitehouse as we see Ben sitting on top of the building watching our for any signs of trouble seeing a vehicle pull up he then speaks into his earpiece stating "The delegate from Casnea have just arrived, any signs of trouble?"
Wonder Woman was atop the washington monument and says "There's nothing here on my end."
"Nothing here either." Lok spoke seeming to appear from thin air out in the gardens area of the white house before adding "Not even a sleezy politician you guys sure we need to be here?" as J'onn phased up from out of the ground.
"Trust me on this one, Patch's intel is usually right." Spider-Man spoke from where he was up top sticking to the alley side wall of one of the buildings just outside the gate. "If he says Terrorists are planning to hit somewhere then we should be ready just in case."
"What if these terrorists are already inside?" J'onn questioned about the intel that they were given.
"I've got that angle covered." Ben then stated to them as we see that Julie Yamamoto was one of the various reporters taht were covering the story.
Suddenly they'd seen explosions going off in the clouds and Ben calls "Dan Report!" wanting to know what was going on.
"Not exactly your normal terrorists, that's for sure." Dan spoke as they'd seen the strange ship that was coming towards them.
"It's a Gordanian class seven cruiser." Hawkgirl stated as she and Wonder Woman had come over to help out as well.
"Seriously? I'm surprised a relic like that could even fly let alone make it to earth." Ben spoke over the coms as the ship pointed it's weapons at them before adding "Guess it's hero time."
"Watch out for the Plasma Cannons!" Called out the Thanagarian as the ship trained it's weapons onto them though Dan grabbed the two by their wrists and used his intangibility to phase all three of them through the blast.
"Dan, can you get me inside?" Atomix questioned flying over after the first blast and the half ghost nodded indicating he could.
"I'll send a Duplicate in with you since Atomix can be dangerous." Dan answered back creating a double of himself that grabbed Atomix and phased him inside.
Once inside Atomix had began charging up the energy in his body while swinging his arms as he did so calling out "HAA-MEE-NA. HAA-MEE-NA. HAA-MEE-NA." as we cut to outside everyone then hears a call of "Nuclear Winner!" and they see a massive blast shoot through both the top and bottom of the ship at the same time as a different colored blast had connected where Atomix's attack had come thorugh the top.
Atomix however didn't notice this as he'd taken down and did another blast causing the ship to explode before it even hit the ground.
"Great, out of the frying pan and into the fire." Spider-Man spoke as his spider sense was going nuts looking up at whatever had connected with Atomix's blast and found that a massive ship along with several smaller ones were above them now.
"No wait." Hawkgirl told them as the big ship sent a smaller one down and it landed in front of the members of the Front Line.
Atomix had come over and joined them and the spacecraft opened up with a bright light and the shadow of what looked like a Thanagarian was standing inside. The shadow moved forwards being easier to see now and we notice that it was a thanagarian who appeared to be a guy being in front of them now, followed by more Thanagarians as well of both male and female variety.
"Friends of yours?" Lok questioned leaning over to Hawkgirl as he does so while looking over at the others.
"Yes." She'd answered back flying over to the first one stepped out and saluting them saying "Welcome to Earth commander."
"Thank you lieutenant." The one that she'd spoken to answered back as Ben changed back to his human form.
Someone wanna fill me in here?" Spider-Man questioned asking just who this guy was exactly.
"This is commander Hro Talak of Thanagar." Hawkgirl answered back about who this person was exactly.
"Save the introductions for later, I must meet with your world leaders, the fate of this world may hang in the balance." The commander stated to them asking to speak with the leaders.
"You're looking at him. After the whole fake ownership thing Volcanus tried to pull I thought it best to meet with the world leaders myself and get them to sign off on me taking ownership personally in these sorts of matters." Ben answered back about the fact that he technically was the owner of the planet Earth.
Hro paused for a moment looking at Ben's wrist and remembering how he'd just been in another form just a moment ago and began to piece together what was going on as realization slowly dawned on him of just who the man in front of him happened to be while we see a bead of sweat roll down the side of his face as the other Thanagarians had appeared cautious as well as it slowly dawned on them as well.
"Oh, uh, my apologies. You wouldn't happen to be"Ben Ten? Ya, actually i would." Ben stated to them crossing his arms waiting to hear what the guy had to say.
"Yes well is there someplace we can talk in private with the other leaders?" Hro questioned looking at Ben and around at the people.
Ben took a deep breath and we then cut to Hawkgirl standing next to Hro who was at a podium and had his right hand guy standing next to him as Ben and the other Front Line members were sitting up front waiting to hear just what he had to say exactly.
After clearing his throat Hro began to speak saying "Several months ago we sent and advanced agent to learn more about your people and to study your planet and it's defenses. That agent was lieutenant Shayera Hol, better known to you as Hawkgirl." He'd began stating.
"So she was spying? Great." Lok spoke hearing this information and not liking it at all as she was standing there with no hesitation.
"I don't think so, if Hawkgirl had any ill intent my spider sense would have picked up on that and warned me not to trust her. However I don't like the other two, my spider sense is going nuts around them." Spider-Man answered back saying that he still trusted Hawkgirl but not the two she was currently standing with.
"Unfortunately your technology is severly lacking, you won't be prepared for what's to come." Hro then stated activating a holo projection of lizard-like creatures causing havok across a wasteland before adding "We on Thanagar have been locked into a bloody battle with these monsters for generations, and they've comitted unspeakable acts across the cosmos. And now they are coming here, this will be the fate of earth unless you accept our help."
"Ya, that's a nice speech and all, but how about showing me some actually current footage?" Ben then spoke up indicating he'd already figured out their game.
"That is current footage." Hro's right hand guy spoke up, however Ben wasn't buying it and he'd simply raised an eyebrow.
"Right, so the gordanian's are using a fleet of Out Dated Unmanned Scouting Drones that haven't functioned properly for over thirty thousand Earth Years, to try to take out my planet?" Ben questioned in response to their statement before adding in "When you talk, do you actually hear yourself, or is it a buzzing in your ear?" Taunting them in the process.
The right hand guy got angry and started to approach and Hro put his hand and wing in front of them. "My apologies Magister Tennyson, my associate speaks out of turn. What he was meaning to say is that we had collected the footage across the planets in our system and only recently have the drones managed to return to us so that we may have the footage to show you. Clearly our information is outdated."
We then fade to Hawkgirl, Shayera, was speaking to some of the others as Hro and his right hand guy who hadn't introduced himself yet, came over and the others seem confused seeing them kiss. "Hro and I are promised to each other, think of it like being engaged." She'd then stated seeing their confusion.
"Sounds more like an arranged marriage to me." Lok stated crossing his arms not liking these other Thanagarians.
We then slowly fade into a much smaller concil room as a man was speaking questioning "What choice do we have? You saw what one ship could do to our defenses, what could they do with an entire fleet?"
"With all due repesct, I took it down with a single blast remember? The second one was just so it wouldn't damage the surrounding area by crashing." Be then reminded them of what he'd done just a moment ago.
"Can we trust the Thanagarians? We don't know anything about them." Another of the guys spoke up next.
"I believe that we could trust Hakwgirl, but the other Thangarians all set off my spider sense." Spider-Man stated to them all. "It's a special sense I got when I gained my powers that warns me of danger."
"Is there any other way that we can defeat so many at once?" The first guy to have spoken then questionined them next.
"Oh ya, quite easily." Ben answered back stating it wouldn't be all that hard at all. "When you get right down to it I could hit the watch snap my fingers and literally erase the Gordanian's entirely out of existence along with all of their technology all at once, and revive everyone they killed and fix all the damage in the blink of an eye."
"If that's the case then why haven't you used this power all the other times we needed it?" Wonder Woman questioned him on why he didn't use it.
"Would you summon the pantheon you worship for every little inconvenience that you can handle without them? It's basically the same thing in principal." Ben answered back about why he doesn't do so.
"So we have an agreement then, the answer is that we will pass upon their offer correct?" The second guy spoke and looked at the others in the room.
"Aye." The others all spoke in agreement deciding that passing was the best choice since they didn't see any need to give the Thanagarians any control over anything.
We then move to see Hro leading Shayera into a room stating "Not exactly Thanagar's finest, but I at least tried to make it feel like home. If you like we can ask the chef to make your favorites."
"Actually, why don't we go out for some of the local quisene?" Shayera questioned in response before adding "You'll love it trust me on this one."
However The right hand guy came in and Hro questions "What is it Kragger?" giving us his name in doing so.
"Apologies sir, but we're recieving transmitions from the humans." He'd answered back and Hro went to the communications console and answered the call.
Ben appeared on screen and begins to speak "Earth thanks you for your generous offer, however we have decided to pass." He'd stated to them before then going on to add "If you wish lieutenant Shayera Hol is welcome to remain on earth as a liaison between Earth and Thanagar. We'll give you some time to consider it." then cut the feed.
"I was hoping that it wouldn't come to this, but deploy our contingency forces now!" Hro told Kragger who'd saluted and went off to do that.
"Contingency? What contingecy, you told me I should try to make a good impression on earth so that they'd be willing to help us in our battle against the Gordanians." Shayera stated having no knowledge of what's going on.
"Ben the Thanagarians are attacking the Watchtower, and the landing bays are opening. They must have our access codes." Diana spoke from where she was on their spacestation and then went to try to fight them off herself getting blasted by some sort of electrified weapon in the process.
Meanwhile Ben had gathered J'onn, Lok, Dan, and Spider-Man before calling "We gotta get to the Javeline fast, Diana's in trouble." and they'd all headed towards their ship only for it to be blown apart by a Thanagarian woman in a suit of white armor.
"I'm afraid we can't allow that." The woman stated having the weapon trained onto them as a threat and continued trying to blast them until Hawkgirl in a new black set of armor had stopped her.
"What are you doing, this isn't a part of the plan." She'd told them as the two had started struggling against one another.
"I'm sorry but we cannot allow your friends to interfere with our plans." Hro stated to them and gave a gesture for them all to attack.
Ben hit the Omnitrix changing into a small white silicon robot form called Echo Echo which then split off into multiple coppies as Dan did the same. Most of Dan's coppies grabbed the others including one of the Echo Echo coppies as well and phased away with them. Two of the extra coppies of Dan had stayed behind as they and the remaining Echo Echo coppies unleashed powerful bursts of sonic energy out at the Thanagarians that were trying to attack them.
