The Front Line Season 01 Episode 14
All of the screens on Earth had the frequencys tapped and Hro was the one that appeared on screen stating that they were instituting Marshal Law and we see a group of leaders that had been locked in a room with some Thanagarians including an old man in a hawiian shirt as they'd seen a a hologram of Hro and he'd told them that they had two choices Cooperate or Die. Before the feed cut out and the doors opened letting them leave freely.
Cutting to the actual Hro he turned to Shayera and asks "You've lived among them, do you think they'll cooperate?"
"I think they got the message and for your sake hope that they choose cooperation." She'd answered back and began to walk off knowing full well just what earth was capable of as we see Kragger look off for a moment before straighting back up.
We then cut to Kragger walking past mutliple prepared cells stopping in front of the one that Wonder Woman was in and speaking to the guard. "Hro wants to have a word with this one, release them into my custody immediately."
"But si"Are you quetioning my authortity and defying Hro's orders soldier?"" They'd began to state but was cut off by Kragger questioning if they were defying him.
"No sir." Spoke the guard as they'd released Diana into his custody making sure her lasso remained tightly around them and let the two leave going off to leave the ship as Kragger shoved her into a ship.
Wonder Woman glared at him as they'd gotten onto the ship which had remained stationary for some reason. The guards had gone to find out what was going on, only to discover Kragger gagged and in the cuffs that had been around Diana previously though without the lasso and they'd immediately sounded the alarm though she'd already escaped.
We then see a ship landing in a docking bay with Kragger approaching the two of them and kneeling stating "My apologies sir, but somehow they used me to free Wonder Woman. All I remember was one moment I'm standing next to you then the next I'm cuffed and gagged inside a ship."
"How could this have happened?" The commander questioned as to just why they'd been able to do that.
"It's simple, they're the Front Lines for a reason Hro." Shayera then stated to them about having lost their prisoner.
"Take a strike squad back to the surface and look for them, search every house, every building, every rock. I want them all found." Hro then stated to Kragger who'd stood and saluted before going to do that as Shayera and Hro headed off to the main console.
We see them recieving a signal and put it up on screen revealing it was the thanagarian woman in white as she speaks saying "The construction has begun, it seems some of the Plumbers here are technologically inclined. The Revonnahgander in particular seems to make a decent asset. The humans however only appear to be usful in lifting and carrying things like most animals. The Bypass should be ready on time despite the delay."
"Good keep me posted Paran." Hro spoke before cutting the feed though Shayera looked annoyed.
"You didn't think to tell me we were actually building a bypass? If we go through with that earth would be wiped out in the process." She'd stated to him with her arms crossed.
"Sadly yes, for Thanagar to live Earth must die." Talak answered back about the situation that's at hand.
We then cut off to Dan and Diana seeming to appear from thin air together and landing safely as Ben was sitting on a chair with the others leaning on things or standing around as he says "You two are late."
"Had to find out where she was being kept first, so what's the plan?" Dan stated back to him as they'd had landed and asked what the plan was.
"I wasn't referring to you." Ben then stated to them as they'd heard someone walking over towards them.
"He's talking about me." The person spoke as they'd walked close enough from the shadows to see revelaing Hawkgirl there as the others got defensive.
"Hawkgirl's been undercover on the Thanagarian Lines for me since they got 'd told me the reasons she was sent here and why before the others got here." Ben explained as she'd taken off her helmet.
"All of the plans are here on this drive. I was told I should try to get on Ben's good side so he'd be willing to help, the shield, them attacking, and all of this, that was never explained to me. But they're not building a shield, they're building a spacial bypass." She'd stated to the group which had seemed to worry them.
"Right, Abandon base, it's most likely that they'll be headed this way immedately." Ben then spoke as Shayera went the opposite direction to the others as they'd gone onto an underground tunnel that had tracks on it and they'd followed it.
Shayera had returned to the ship where Kragger had stopped her saying "Follow me." and when she went to protest some guards landed behind her and we then see her being brough into where Hro was at without her helmet on and her hands cuffed behind her.
"After everything, you conspire against Thanagar, against me. I'm disappointed Shayera." Hro stated as he'd turned to look at her.
"Really? I'm not. After all, you're no better than the Gordanians." She'd stated to him and that'd made him angry smacking her across the face with the back of his hand.
Shayera then spat blood in his face in response and Hro says to "Get her out of my sight." before turning away from them.
We then rejoin the others as they'd contacted every person they knew of, even some new faces, and were having a meeting in a secret location as J'onn had played back the information on what they were trying to do.
"Apparently Thanagarian technology hasn't advanced enough to have proper jump gates." Albedo, Ben's younger clone brother, stated to them checking all the information about what was going on.
"The Generator has a forcefield around it, but it's remotely controlled from the ship. We need a way to take it down." Dan stated to them as a guy in a green costume took a look at the various information that was located on the drive.
"Hold on a second, I think I can tap the systems to drop the barrier, but we're gonna need some help to do it with the Ship throwing up a barrier of it's own. And the rest of you guys gotta take out the device once we've handled the ship." They'd stated about being able to handle this.
"It's gonna take more than just the two of you to handle everything once inside, you're gonna need all the help you can get." A guy with red and yellow hair stated to them "Count me in those bird freaks trashed my ride."
"You'll have to get past the barrier first, anyway you can do that?" Lok questioned the three about how they'd get inside.
"There's one favor I can call in for that." A guy in a blue and black jacket with a gold lightning bolt on his black shirt spoke up saying they'd manage that.
"Alright, here's the plan, You guys get in and shut down the barrier. Albedo and I will take down the device before it can cause any real damage. Spider-Man, Wonder Woman, and J'onn J'onzz will retake the watchtower. Everyone else try to take out the other Thanagarians and get as many civilains as you can to safety." Ben then spoke up about what they were going to do and everyone nodded headed off to do that.
We see Colonel Jupiter with Agent Venom, Ghost Spider, and Anti-Venom hitting New York and even see some of their rogues fighting back against the Thanagarians while helping get innocent people to safety thanks to Sandman rejoining the fray alongside Black Cat.
Gwen and Charmcaster had managed to get the Plumbers away from their prison nearby the bypass machine and they'd headed off to join in the battle elsewhere, and they had Wolf with them. Meanwhile Danny and the Black Knight alongside Nightmare, Wulf, the rest of Team Phantom and some of the ghosts that Danny sorta got along with were also battling the Thanagarians with Wulf having torn open a portal to get the civilains to safety.
We also see the various seekers around the world helping to fight back the bird winged invaders as well as J'onn's sister and her husband helping out where they were staying now too with a lot of the aliens Ben made friends with in undertown as well. Hell even Pakmar was blasting at the Thanagarians calling "You no paying customers, you go avay! Leave Pakmar's Store alone!" as he'd done so.
We also see the various World Dragons and the new Huntsclan members fighting alongside each other around the world as well. We also see that the entire backup team were also helping in evacuation and combat along with Rose fighting alongside them Including J'onn's niece M'gann who was helping out as well.
Moving back to the Front Lines we see that Lok already had Kipperin around him as he was flying through the air using the Willblade to combat the various Thanagarians, alongside the others trying to commandeer one of the ships. "That does it, Awaken Powerbonded Legendary Titan of Champions Pendragon!" summoning forth a massive beast and calling "Everyone get down!" before calling "Powerbonded Pendragon I need your Blade Breath attack!"
The Dragon let out a beastial roar and unleashed blue energy from their mouth like a fire breath, except instead of flames it was a large quantity of blades all the shape and size of the Willblade and struck a massive group of Thanagarians causing them to drop to the ground in the process.
Dan meanwhile had taken down Kragger with his Ghostly Wail and dragged him over to J'onn asking "So, will this guy do for learning how to pilot that thing?"
J'onn nodded saying "Yes, I believe he'll do nicely." and put his hands over the Thanagarian's head to better be able to read his mind.
We see J'onn ripping through a black screen and going into a strange place filled with cracks and what looked like black webs as he flew around and came to a broken statue of Hawkgirl at the feet of two statues, one of Kragger, the other of Hro both standing tall shoulder to shoulder as he'd gone into a temple and found large birds that were clawing at him creating wounds on his body outside as well as inside the mind. He'd flown over to where there was a massive flame inside a large dish and pushed it over.
We then move back to the real world as he'd let go and stumbled backwards while Kragger was on the ground as the Martian says "I have what we need." while closing the scratches on his body before disguiesing himself as Kragger as they'd taken off back to the Watchtower and used that to gain entryway back into the base and once inside began fighting alongside Spider-Man and Wonder Woman to regain control of it.
As all that was going on Shayera had heard a commotion and saw three guys coming in and calls out "Over here, I can get you to the controls!" from her cell seeing them as the'd stopped to look at her.
"Why should we trust you with anything?" The guy with red and yellow hair questioned glaring at them.
"She's in there because she gave us the drive to find out what's going on. She deserves a rescue for giving us that much." The guy with blue and black jacket stated to them.
"Alright fine, Backpack?" The guy in green spoke to the metal robot on his back and it'd sent out a wire that attached to the control panel unlocking it.
"Alright follow me." Shayera told them as she'd began leading the way to the controls though Hro was there in front of it.
"I'm disappointed in you Shayera I had hoped you'd see the error in your ways and join by my side once more." Hro spoke holding an ax as she'd grabbed a mace from a guard they'd knocked out.
"You're not the man I thought I loved, I was supposed to get help from the earth, not put it in danger and I won't let you trade billions of innocent lives just to win this war." She'd answered back making energy spark around the mace. "You three, take out the controls." She'd spoken to them as they'd gone to get to work as she and Hro began to fight against one another.
The two continued to trade blows over and over as Hro questions "You betrayed your people, your family, your friends, me. Was it worth it?" as they'd continued on and on.
"I've betrayed no one. These people ARE my people, many of them ARE my friends, and the Front Lines ARE my family! You're the Psychopath willing to kill billions of people for your own bennifit! I'll say it again, you're just as bad as the Gordanians Hro. You just don't want to admit it!" Shayera answered back as they'd continued trading blows.
This had pushed him over the edge and he'd forced himself to overpower her and was about to strike the killing blow when he was stopped mid swing with electricity crackling around his axe and he'd turned to look over his shoulder just in time for flames to strike his back and forcibly set the feathers of his wings ablaze causing him to cry out in pain as they'd been burned violently leaving them charred black.
As that was going on the barrier around the shut off had been taken down by the guy in green as he'd spoken questioning "Miss Hol, would you care to do the honors?"
Hawkgirl then answers back "It would by my pleasure." walking over towards the large switch in the center of the room.
Cutting back to Ben and Albedo the spacial bypass machine was starting to activate as the barrier had dropped and Ben says "Alright, looks like it's time to get big or should I say.." He'd began to stated hitting the Omnitrix and changing into his To'kustar form calling out "WAYBIG!" after he does so.
"I'll see your Way Big and raise you.." Albedo spoke hitting the two bands on his arms against each other changing into into a form like that of a To'kustar but with strange purple hazy star clusters inside their body with the only noticable features being that of their brown colored eyes calling out "WAY-X!" as he'd done so.
The two then nodded to one another and Waybig created a massive blast of green energy from his arms as Way-X did the same but with energy that looked like space and stars but with a green outline on the two sides of the blast. The two had struck the central spot damaging it in the process causing it to crackle and spark as it'd started to blow, and they'd moved to get out of the blast radius, which wasn't all that hard actually given their size.
Finally we see that the Thanagarian forces were all leaving earth and we see Shayera with the others as she was speaking telling them "I spent the past months getting to know all of you, and I never would have agreed to this mission had I know the truth about what they were going to do. I've been torn between my feelings and the mission and I won't ask all of you to do the same, therefore I am resigning from the Front Lines effective immediately."
As she turns to leave Spider-Man moved to catch up with her and hugges Shayera telling her "I hope you find whatever it is you're searching for." before letting her leave and watches as she flies away and once she was out of sight he questions "What now, the Watchtower is in shambles from what the Thangarians have done to it, we don't have the Javeline anymore, Shayera's gone do we just.. walk away?"
"No, we repair and rebuild, starting today." J'onn answered back looking up towards the sky as he does so.
"J'onn's right, the world's gonna need us now more than ever after all that. And why didn't you use Alien-X?" Wonder Woman stated before Questioning Ben on that.
"Who says I didn't?" Ben questioned back raising an eyebrow with a shrug and a knowing sorta smug look across his face.
Finally, we fade across two planets that had barriers around them and when the two different ships tried to go in they always ended up on the opposite planet effecitvely ending the war since the Gordanians could never return to the Thangarian home world, and the Thangarians could never return to the Gordanian homeworld either making it a pointless effor to try to continue their war.
