"Can't believe we're actually back here," said Jackie as he and the others snuck around the Demon World, making sure that they were spotted by any creatures that may have been around.
"Why are we even sneaking?" asked Jade.
"Shendu should already be aware that we're here," she said.
"I'm afraid he and the other Demon Sorcerers are no longer in charge," came a voice from all around them, causing the team to get in formation with their backs to each other inorder to watch everyones' blindspots.
"Who's there?!" asked Jackie while standing with his hands up.
"Many names have been used to describe me, but the one you would know me best by is Death," said the voice before a giant shadowy figure appeared floating over them in the air.
"You do not look like the grim reaper," said Uncle.
"He and I are different beings, you mortals always get us mixxed up," said Death.
"But enough about me, what brings you humans here?" he asked.
"Our world is in danger from an imbalance of evil, we need the Talismen from Shendu to save it," said Ruby, who had been put in the middle of the group and just forced her way out through Jackie and Jade.
"If the human world falls then I'll lose one of my main sources of fun," said Death while holding a hand up to his chin as he thought it over.
"Does that mean you'll help us?" asked Ruby.
"Only after you answer a question I have, little girl," said Death before turning into smoke that formed a smaller version of him right before her. His face was blacked out, hidden by his cloak's hood as it rested before the girl's face.
"Why are you not afraid of me?" he asked while red eyes appeared in the darkness of his face and stared right into the young girl's eyes which did not flinch at all in response to this.
"Get away from her!" said Jade as she went to hit him. However, her body suddenly froze and a chain appeared from her chest.
"I suggest you be quiet," said Death, who was holding the end of the chain.
