After vanishing from the others, Ruby and Death had appeared further into the Demon World.
"You know that they'll still follow, right?" asked Ruby.
"This area is under a spell to keep intruders out, they'll never be able to get in unless I allow them to and instead will just walk around in a circle till we are done," said Death.
"Alright; by the way, how did you get in this dimension if the door was shut?" asked Ruby.
"As long as there is life I can go wherever I want, even if that life is in other dimensions thanks to their only being one Death and Life between them," said Death.
"I'm also aware that my sister picked you to be her champion," he asked.
"I didn't know until my magic first activated, I've also kept it a secret from the others so please don't say anything about it," said Ruby. As they talked, the two were walking toward a castle that stood before them.
"Are you sure it's wise not to tell them, things won't be easy if you go at it alone," said Death.
"Everyone has a part to play in Life's game," said Ruby.
"Uncle Jackie and the others did their parts and now it's my turn to move," she said while Death opened a large door by waving a hand before it.
"They were all the pawns to set up the board and never really mattered, but you're the Queen which is the most important part to any game," said Death as the two headed down a long hallway that opened up to a large room.
"Every piece on the board is important, without each of them you can't even play so it's not right to say that one is more important than the others," said Ruby.
"You come to gloat again, Death?" asked Shendu who was in his statue form floating in the middle of the room while being surrounded by statues of his siblings and even his son.
"Not this time around, someone else has come to see you," said Death as he motioned to Ruby.
"Do I know you, human?" asked Shendu.
"No, but you do know my family, after all it was them who sent your scaley but back here with your son," said Ruby.
"You're related to Jackie Chan?!" asked Shendu as he realized what she meant.
