Ch 5

Ezra's next mission was to stop the Imperials from setting up a base at the old Jedi Temple on Coruscant.

Ezra, Sabine, Kanan, and Zeb used cable guns to go down from the Ghost into the temple.

Many stormtroopers blocked them but Ezra and Kanan struck them down with their sabers while Sabine and Zeb shot them down with their blasters and bo-rifle.

Then the went to the Jedi Archives to see if they were still there but instead it was replaced by the Sith Archives with a vast collection of dark side artifacts and Sith holocrons.

"What happened here?" Ezra asked.

"The Emperor took over our Jedi Temple and corrupted it with the dark side." Kanan replied bitterly. "But we're going to destroy his trophies."

After the rebels placed timed grenades on the shelves of the Sith Archives, they went deeper into the temple where they entered a vault with a carbonite block holding an armored figure inside.

"What is that?" Ezra asked.

"It looks like a Mandalorian." Sabine said.

Then the sound of armored feet clattering rang out as stormtroopers and the Third Brother entered.

"Our rebel friends have arrived." the Inquisitor said. "Surrender and I might spare your lives."

"Rebels never surrender." Kanan replied and a fight began.

Blaster bolts flew and electricity crackled as Sabine and Zeb blasted and zapped many stormtroopers.

Ezra and Kanan dueled the Third Brother and green, blue, and red bars clashed against each other.

Then the Third Brother Force pushed Ezra into the console and the carbonite block unfroze.

Kanan let loose a Force wave that sent the Imperials flying and they were knocked out as the rebels met the Mandalorian.

"Where is Darth Malgus?" the Mandalorian asked. "Who are you?"

"We're rebels." Ezra said. "Fighting a Galactic Empire. Who are you?"

"I'm Shae Vizsla." the Mandalorian said. "What happened?"

"Malgus died a long time ago." Kanan added.

"Things have changed since you were gone." Ezra said. "But we can help you."

"If Malgus is gone then this Empire is different from the last." Shae said. "I have nowhere to go."

"You can join us." Sabine offered. "This galaxy lost its freedom. But you could help us make a difference."

"Okay, I'll come with you." Shae said.

Then the rebels ran out just as Imperial gunships arrived at the temple, sending more stormtroopers in.

Kanan pressed the remote on the timed grenades and the Emperor's Sith Archive was blown up in a plume of fire as Hera arrived with the Ghost.

A stormtrooper was about to shoot Ezra in the back as the heroes ran to the ship but Shae shot down the trooper.

"Thanks." Ezra said.

Shae nodded and the heroes boarded the ship before it flew off.

Ezra had made a new Mandalorian friend.
