Chapter 3:
Storytime
Meanwhile, back with Twilight and Rainbow Dash, Twilight has managed to calm the kids down by reading them a story.
"And so in the end, the little Burro reunited with his family. And they lived happily ever after. The End," Twilight said, finishing the story and closing the book as the kids cheered.
"Good job, Twilight," Rainbow Dash said, resting on a cloud. She had to admit, Twilight sure knows how to tell a story.
"Thanks, I have experience," Twilight said, accepting the compliment.
"Question, Miss Sparkle? Why did the Burro go home? Why can't he stay with the Hares?" Smolder asked, raising her hand while not really understanding the moral of the story.
"Because, well, he wants to be with his family again," Twilight replied.
"I think maybe he should be with a girl Burro. Rarity told me that's a very good love story," Sweetie Belle said, walking up to Twilight.
"Okay, Sweetie Belle. When you grow up, you can tell your own Burro story," Twilight said as Sweetie Belle heads back to her friends.
"You know, I heard somewhere that "Burro" is just a demeaning name. Technically, it's called…," Gallus said, but Twilight knows what he was going to say.
"Nice try, Gallus. But I'm not getting fooled to say that word," Twilight said. She was not going to say a curse word in front of children.
"Whooooooooaaaaaaaaaa!" The Kids said in awe, seeing how smart Twilight was being.
"Yup, never ever mess with Twilight Sparkle," Twilight said.
"Hmmph, I sure would like to laugh when you say it," Rainbow Dash muttered as Twilight turned to her with a glare, making her be silent.
"Oh, oh, oh. Can Burro have a grazing problem? Yona think that'll make it more relatable," Yona asked.
"Come on, that's Boring!" Scootaloo said.
"Even I don't get it," Smolder said.
"If you ask me, it's not really believable," Silverstream said.
"Do Burros eat their young?" another kid asked.
"That doesn't even sound like a very satisfying ending to me," Sandbar said.
"You know sometimes I throw up," a yellow-green Pegasus filly with a lemon-green mane and tail said.
"Um…Well, either way. One thing you all have to remember is that there's one thing that almost every story has in common is that the character lives happily ever after and it can't be more satisfying than that. Nor a One Big Happy Family, and it has always been that way," Twilight said. She wanted to keep the kids on the most important thing.
"But where's your Big Happy Family, Twilight?" Applebloom asked.
Twilight was suddenly uneasily silent as the kids stared at her with innocent curiosity and confusion, but Rainbow Dash knew why Twilight was silent. So she decided to cover for her and said, "Say how about we head over to the slides and see who can do the best trick?".
The kids cheered from that idea and headed off to the slides. But after the kids left, Rainbow Dash noticed Twilight starting to walk away.
"Hey, Twilight, are you okay?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Pffft, yeah, why wouldn't I be okay?" Twilight said.
"Well, I just thought you needed some space or something…," Rainbow Dash said.
"Look, storytime's over. The End!" Twilight said, turning to Rainbow Dash angrily.
Then Twilight saw a white Earth Pony colt with brown spots, dark tangelo mane, and tail with lighter streaks running towards her shouting, "Twilight! Twilight! Heeeellllllppppp!".
"Hey, hey, whoa, Pipsqueak! Slow down," Twilight said.
"Yeah, now what's the problem and where's everybody going?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Twilight, I got some horrible news. Our world's coming to an end!" Pipsqueak said.
"What?! Wait a minute, Pipsqueak, who told you that?" Twilight asked, shaking her head in confusion.
"The Flim and Flam Brothers. They said that Equestria's gonna flood!" Pipsqueak replied.
Author's Note: Here's the third chapter of the story. In this chapter, Twilight was telling the kids a story about a Burro and the Hares. Of course, the kids were asking and commenting on the story, but Twilight reminded them that there's nothing more satisfying than a One Big Happy Family. But when Applebloom asked Twilight about her big happy family, the Alicorn just went silent...and we all know why from the previous story.
After Rainbow Dash has the kids to leave, Pipsqueak came in and gave them horrible news about Equestria coming to an end and a great flood.
