Welcome to Hell-A
The next morning, the boys woke up and started to stretch.
"Morning, guys." said Stan.
"Morning, Stan." said Kyle. Cartman takes out his device and turns it on.
"So, what should we do today?" asked Cartman.
"Anything cool going on in L.A today?" asked Kyle. Cartman then looks at his device for events that looked cool to them; but to his surprise, he wasn't getting any internet signal.
"Guys, I can't get a signal." said Cartman.
"What?!" replied Kyle. He and Stan take out their devices and look at them, only to see that they couldn't get a signal either.
"I don't get it." said Stan. "We were getting signal here just fine yesterday."
"Maybe the internet went down again." suggested Kyle.
"Probably." said Kenny. "What do we do now?"
"Let's just go get some breakfast somewhere, then we'll try and figure out what's going on." said Kyle. As they got off the bus, they were suddenly overwhelmed by the sight and smell of smoke.
"Dudes! What's with the smoke?!" asked Stan before he started coughing along with the others.
"I don't know." said Kyle. "I thought we were in California, not New Jersey!" All of a sudden, a bunch of people rush over to them and push them to the ground.
"Hey! What are you assholes doing?!" asked Cartman. Before the boys could make sense of what was happening, the people got on their bus, closed the doors, and started to drive away.
"Hey! That's our bus!" said Kenny.
"What was wrong with those people?!" asked Stan.
"I don't know, dude." said Kyle.
"How the hell are we supposed to get home and where are we supposed to sleep?!" asked Cartman. As they look around, they see someone staggering towards them; but in the haze from the smoke, they couldn't really see him/her clearly.
"Maybe whoever that is has some idea what's going on?" suggested Kenny.
"Might as well." said Stan as he started walking over to the person with his friends following after him. As they got close to the person, a foul odor filled the area.
"Dude! What's that smell?!" asked Kenny.
"Cartman, did you fart?!" asked Kyle.
"That wasn't me, asshole!" said Cartman.
"It smells like something died around here!" said Stan. He didn't realize how right he was. As the haze started to clear a little bit, he got a good look at the person they were approaching, and to his shock, it was a man with a white t-shirt with bloodstains on it, blue jeans that looked like part of one of the legs was torn off and had blood coming out of the hole, and his face looked like half of it had the flesh ripped off of it. Stan was in such a state of shock that he couldn't move as the man reached for him.
"Stan, watch out!" said Kyle. Before Stan could respond, the man lunges at him, grabs his arms, then starts bringing him close to his opened mouth that had some missing teeth, and blood around it. Stan struggled to break free of the man's grasp while the man tried to bite him.
"Guys! Get this guy off of me!" yelled Stan. Kyle looked around for something until he saw a steel pipe on the ground. He grabs it and runs at the man. He swings the pipe and hits the man across the face, knocking him back and weakening his grip, allowing Stan to break free. The man stumbled back but maintained his balance. He turns towards the boys and begins staggering towards them.
"What's with this guy?" asked Kyle.
"Stay away from us, you son of a bitch!" yelled Cartman.
"Let's get out of here!" said Stan. He and his friends start running towards downtown L.A; while trying to figure what was happening.
"Where are we going?!" asked Kyle.
"I don't know." said Stan. "Let's just get downtown and see if we can find some police officers or something." When they got close to the downtown L.A area, they were surprised by the sight that they saw before them. Everything was in mass chaos; people were running around in panic, some of them were attacking others and biting down on them, cars were speeding down the streets, running over some people as they do, and fires were burning in some spots.
"What the hell is going on?!" asked Kyle.
"I don't know." said Stan. They all look up and see a jet soaring above them with its tailfin and wings on fire. It disappears over the horizon and the loud sound of it crashing fills the air, along with all the smoke and screams of terror.
"This is messed-up, guys." said Kenny.
"I know!" said Cartman. "I'll bet they close Universal Studios because of this!"
"Cartman, forget Universal Studios; we have bigger problems!" said Stan.
"Like what, asshole?!" asked Cartman. Stan points towards something, making the others look and see a mob of people who looked as messed up or more than the person that attacked Stan a few minutes ago.
"Holy shit, dudes!" said Kyle.
"What's wrong with them?!" asked Kenny. Stan looks around and sees a police officer shooting at a man in the mob. The shots were hitting the man's chest in the heart area, but they didn't seem to have much effect at all. A small part of the mob staggered towards the officer who just ran out of bullets. When they reached him, they grabbed him, force him to the ground, and started biting off chunks of his flesh as he screamed out in agony. It was right then and there that Stan figured out what was wrong with those people.
"Dudes! Those people are zombies!" said Stan, getting his friends' attention.
"No way!" said Kyle.
"Well, how do you explain that?!" asked Stan as he pointed at the police officer being eaten. "I just saw one of those people get shot in the heart several times and keep going!" Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny look at each other.
"You might be right, Stan." said Kyle with shock.
"What do we do now?" asked Kenny. Stan looks and sees the mob was almost within arms' reach of them.
"We run like hell; that's what we do!" said Stan. The boys start running back the way they came, only to see another mob of zombies was blocking the street they just came down. They looked towards one side of a street at an intersection and see that burning cars were covering up too much of the street for them to safely navigate through. They look down the other way in the direction they saw the plane go down and sees it was fairly clear and not too many zombies.
"Let's go this way, dudes!" said Kyle.
"Might as well." said Stan. "I'm not staying here."
"Neither am I!" said Cartman. The boys started running down the street, avoiding zombies' grasps as they do. They soon manage to find their way to the hills just outside of L.A and start walking up a small trail.
"So where do we go now?" asked Kyle. Stan looks back and sees the horde of zombies following after them.
"Anywhere but here." said Stan. He and the others continue running into the hills, hoping to find salvation, but they're just heading towards a nightmare.
